Well, i was only there for my Mom. Please get better bags. If you touched the bag ... It just tore, melted..it was horrible bagging those items. Prices were okay. Dollar General has awesome bags... Dont let the prices go up with cheap bags!

If I could do zero stars I would. Again made an order that is delayed was supposed to get it hrs ago. Told to keep waiting its now 825pm. This also happened days ago causing me to lose out on $264 which Im waiting for it to refund. Today was my sons birthday. I had things for him in this order. Its sad. Really sad

They are much closer to home and they have a lot of good ice cream to choose from.

It was a good trip, even got to check out on a register with a clerk. Bonus, she was a nice clerk and didnt feel the need to tell me about her life. Dont get me wrong, sometimes a person just needs someone to talk to, but...

Although this is in far northern Indiana, this Walmart has the most friendly, helpful associates Ive seen anywhere! Last night I was in here and needed help and the pharmacist had just gotten off work and we were in automotive depth. She saw that I needed help and walked around with me until we found what I was looking for. The people in southern IN could learn a lot from them!

You can find anything you need at walmart! This Walmart has other cool stores inside of it as well!

WORST STORE WITH WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE HANDS DOWN.I literally just spent over 45mins in sporting goods asking for assistance which by the way they made me walk to front of store to ask then no one came.Sat back in sporting goods calling customer service upfront telling them ove been here over 20mins no one has come can someone pls assist me. Once again no one came, 6 calls later to front of store after 3 times asking for supervisor or manager they as well never showed up. 45muns over im done ever doing business at this disgusting store. BTW when you ask for assistance they are extremely RUDE acting like how date you bother me while Im here.Now I see why so many complain about this store. Also I walked around the entire store 4 times not seeing a single emotes anywhere working meanwhile store is filthy and such a mess

Went to return some items. Did not have a receipt as the self check out register did not provide one. Racheal the manager was excellent in helping out to retrieve the purchase. She was excellent with her patience and customer service.

I took my twin granddaughter shopping for their 9th birthday with the gift cards I purchased at Walmart. I had a difficult time using them and the manager came and knew just what to do. Overall a great shopping experience.

Been sitting here waiting for my groceries to come out for pick up. Have called twice, others have come and gone. Tried to ask a worker about my order and was told to wait a bit minute but hasnt come back. First time I did this was great, now never again. What a waste of gas. Update: after 3rd phone call and 30 minute wait, they finally told me they couldnt find my order. Cancelled and shopped and rang out myself. 15 min trip turned into 2 hours. I shop for my elderly neighbor so had to get his groceries. Nothing offered for all the trouble.

Shelves are always empty. They never have what i need. The employees are lazy and the registers barely have anyone working them. You pretty much gotta scan and bag your own groceries everytime. And dont have them do the shopping for you. You wont get what you ask for. This whole city needs help. Even the restaurants here are horrible. Leave it up to me and i would shut everything down. Do better wally world.

Usually I would give a 4 or 5 star rating. But the store is currently rearranging all the product locations. The aisles are wider which is nice but finding what youre shopping for is a pain in the @$$. Especially if youve been shopping there for a long time and are accustomed to where the products used to be located. They also seem to be low on product selection. My guess is this is to make it easier to rearrange the shelves if there is less stuff to relocate. Otherwise they usually have a good selection and low prices. My only other problem is the over use of self checkout. I have COPD and just the action of scanning and bagging a large shopping list becomes difficult. I wish they would have a few more cashiers on duty. There are times, especially later in the day, when theres no cashiers on duty. I know this wont be a problem for most people, but for those of us with breathing issues its a pain.

Good place for what you need but they did not have what I was looking for. Acorn squash always have to go to Chicago to find it even though it is in season but this Walmart never has it.

Where else would I go if it aint Walmart it aint smart lol 😆

Everything is so chaotic with the way theyre renovating. The inventory is always missing at least a good portion of my shopping list compared to the Walmarts Ive shopped in the past. Theres rarely a cashier on duty. The layout of the store is backwards from almost any other Walmart Ive been in .

Not having cashiers, is causing long lines at some locations. It would be great if they had more price checking machines thru out the store.

There is a reason why this Walmart has super in its name. This Walmart has everything you want and needs from food, medical needs, and clothing. I was extremely surprised to see big mens clothing here. Im grateful for food stores like this!

Why do I even think that going to Walmart is a good idea? The pharmacy staff is great! The rest of the store not so much. Not ONE checkout lane open.

I will not shop there any longer. Why do you expect me to check myself out and do the job of the clerk you probably laid off. You should be paying me to do your employees job in the way of lower prices. Two of your employees were standing at their self checkout station talking sweet nothings to one another and ignoring me when I needed help. Nobody seems to care anymore. Im done with walmart and hope many more follow my decision.

I dont mind the self checkouts but I went to get a cheap pair of wireless headphones. They were locked in a case and I waited for 15 minutes for someone to come unlock them. The headphones are $9. There is NO reason to lock them up. After waiting there for 15 minutes and being told by 2 employees sorry not my department, I gave up and ordered the headphones on Amazon. Also they are not doing cash right now and while this doesnt effect me right now they need to put up signs at the door.

Walmart was very busy yet only 2 cashiers. Self checkout is fine but what about the human aspect? Covid aside; there needs to be more cashiers on duty.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Only reason I gave 4 stars is they were out of the craft wire I use for making jewelry and a few other things were either out or only a few to choose from

Its unreal that when you go shopping you also have to scan your own items as well. You have all these lanes where someone can be working but for some reason none of them are open and the only lanes that are open are self scan lanes and half of them dont even work.

Every time I go there its a problem wit pricing. Nothing in its right place n hate to shop there unless Im truly desperate for something

Had to write this five stars. Im not a big fan of Walmart but they happen to have what I needed and very clean. All employees I encountered were respectful and kind. I would suggest never rely on me for another Walmart review, as I most likely will not ever do one again. This particular Walmart earned this review just by doing what theyre supposed to.

The store was really dirty and nothing about the layout made sense. There were several empty packages that appeared to have had the items stolen from them shoved into the mens clothing section. All of the clothing I was looking for was only available in a couple of sizes which happened to not be the sizes I was looking for on three different clothing items. The crowd of people there when I was there were loud and running. The parking lot had trash in it. The cart corrals were overflowing to an extreme of needing to drive your car around them. Ive been to this store many times in the past and it has never looked this bad. I hope this changes soon.

It would have been nice to not hear an employee batching about another associate and then telling me to go to Meijers.

Had to get some OTC meds. I was in and out. The cashier was very nice.

Simply... THIS STORE MAKES ME SICK. The only reason it even gets 1 star is because of the gentleman working in the electronics department on that day. He was extremely courteous and helpful. The rest of the rude and lazy staff needs to take customer service classes from him. And Im going to leave my experience at that because I already feel my blood pressure rising thinking about it.

Dont care for this Wal-Mart in South Bend...I drive the 20mi to Plymouth. Nicer people and the shelves are stocked...over all a better experience

I enjoy shopping there. I like to visit the store from time to time. I worked on the project as an electrician as it was being built.

Good over all. Dont go there to grocery shop if your hungry.

Every time I go to Walmart its usually a decent trip. Some employees are nice others you wonder why theyre even there. I like Walmart, but Im starting to lean towards Meijer more.

I was visiting from out of town, and needed a few additional items. This store was clean, only negative issue, one of my friends wanted an item from the jewelry department, she stopped and employee and all they could say was Im off work now, instead of let me get you some assistance because Im off work.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. Good place to shop.

I was looking through the cantaloupe for a ripe one and I happen to notice that an Associate (George on his name tag) was standing behind and to the side of me and I asked him if I was in his way and he said yes.Im sorry, but I am a paying customer! If an employee has to wait for a minute while I choose what produce I want to purchase, them they should and if asked if the customer is in their way, they should respond politely .... no, please take your time and they should back off and not crowd the customer!!!

Store layout is confusing. Cleaning products are next to the animal food which isnt very safe.

Terrible store. Ok, its Walmart. I understand I am not shopping at a highend department store. BUT I should NOT have to wait in line for more than 10 minutes to USE THE SELF-CHECKOUT. There werent any real cashiers in the store as far as I could tell, just self checkouts. You want me to do your work for you, pay you for it AND be inconvenienced? I dont think so Walmart. There ARE other stores to spend my money. Pay your employees a living wage and youll have people lining up for a cashier job.

The store was messier than usual. I know that they are remodeling, but it was ridiculous! Then they were out of 3 of the 5 items that I went there for. I went directly to another Meijer and was able to get everything!

Horrible experience, does anyone work there anymore? They no longer have cashiers! I had to checkout myself, the lines were terrible for all checkout. I waited 20 minutes to checkout. Also the one item I went for was not on the shelf even though the website said they had it. Could not find a worker for 10 minutes then was told, without looking at anything, if it is not on the shelf we dont have it. I will not return.

Truly a marvel of shopability. This place has everything I need. Where else could you get rope, ether, chainsaws, large contractor bags, shovels, and fruit loops all in one location? Wouldve given an additional star but they still screw their employees on wages and benefits.

It was fine but checking out was SO slow. It took forever just to buy a handful of items because people had issues paying for products. Probably not the experience every time but wasn’t great this past trip.

Walmart Michigan City Phamacist Brian is the greatest! Helpful, professional, Cordial, helped me out just before closing never seen a pharmacist take the time and care to make interacting with a pharmacy a good experience. Hats off to the staff tonight also.

I live in the area where Wal-Mart Portage, Merrillville, and Valparaiso are also an option.. michigan city is the best place to got for customer service and curbside. You rarely have substitutions and when I go in the store to make sure its out of stock and it is. The aforementioned stores, I always find my items. You have to wait a long time for your pick up but when you are confident that they did your shop proper, you dont mind.

There reorganizing so it was a mess an total chaos trying to find anything as usual work all day to go to the store an spend your hard earned money to find out you got more work to do at the store nothing like spending 400 dollars an then scan yourself out after waiting in line for half hour what dont understand was the bag shortage an nobody to help getting got 8 people standing at the entrance talking one girl trying to watch an help everybody when asked yeah future gonna be great

Freezers were melty and stuff was freezer burnt. And there were carts everywhere in the parking lot making it hard to park and maneuver around people.
