We went in store to start our journey of new cabinets. Alex was extremely helpful! 10/10 recommend her. She was knowledgeable and brought things to our attention we would’ve never thought of. We aren’t shy to DIY or home improvements, but she made sure we had the tools we need to design a flowing kitchen. Things we hadn’t thought of on our own.

Just letting you know Mike and Dillon in warehouse # 2 are super helpful!

The so-called manager Brittany is very rude and needs to learn a lil customer service from the Mishawaka store. She told me I had to drive an hour to the Mishawaka store to fix their problem on a pick ticket. While I was there I just called the Mishawaka store myself and they resolved the issue over the phone. Wow, lazy doesn’t even describe Brittany!!!!

Got to the store kinda late tonight and even knew what we wanted.The furniture was retrieved by the employees, part was brought tothe register and the bigger pieces taken to the back for pick up. When we pulled around back it was already locked up, but reopened so we could get our furniture that night. There were at least 5 gentlemen waiting to help get us loaded and then we were on our way. We were very grateful for the extra time and help to ensure we had everything we needed so we could make tonight work.

Love Menards. Went here to buy an American Flag for my daughter. She has been looking for a Nylon one for her flag pole so it wont wear out as easy. The staff here is very helpful. Thx again.

This store is AMAZING. The home improvement merchandise is good but what makes the store interesting is all other cool merchandise that is fun to rummage through.

Chase was very nice and patient with me when I tried to pick up my patio furniture. My first attempt did not go as planned on picking up my furniture since my car was to small. But chase was very patient with me. I had called before arriving and 2 times after since I was trying to figure out how to get my patio furniture home. Unfortunately, today we only left with one chair and not the second due to not having the proper car.However, I left with a smile on my face because of awesome customer service I had received. Chase is an asset to this company because you don’t get good customer service often anymore.

They said they had a shed we wanted. We paid for it, went to pick it up and they couldnt fine it. Hour and a half later. They figured it out, it was the display they sold use. They could take it down and dismal it in two or three hours. We got our money back. Need to do better. We drove 25 miles to Michigan City to get it, because Portage store didnt have one.

Left Menards today after being harassed by the cashier for not having a mask on...in the garden center which is basically outside & the CDC says no masks needed outside. Went to Lowes and found a beautiful flower pot for my mother. Will NEVER step foot in Menards again. Ever!

Definely lost my business permanently. There service guy Brandon watched me walk all the way across the store with a window AC unit and stopped me right before the checkout and proceeded to ask if I had a mask, I replied with no. He then proceeded to tell me that to make a purchase I had to have 1 and that they were for sale for $5 at the service desk behind the checkout lanes. Can anyone explain how much sense it makes to walk past the cashier, purchase a mask for a outrageous $5 to put in on and check out? Had they have said something as I was walking into the store, I would have just turned away and took my business else where and wouldnt be writing this review but since they watched me walk ALL the way though the store and waited until I reached the cash register to say something... thats a bit ridiculous, after all a mask is to protect yourself correct, like most of us Im not worried about this scamdemic or this made up virus.

Horrible customer service.. cant have generator delivered nor can I pay for it to pick it up, also cant have it shipped to a store closer . WTH is the point !!!!!!

Would give a zero if possible. I was treated very terribly by a employee who claimed to be a manager (Alana) and told to leave the store. I left and will not be back. Lowe’s next door will be happy to take my money.

Menards is the best! Good prices and selection, and the staff are helpful. This is my go-to place for all of my home improvement projects.

This company has very bad customer service. I’ve never seen people treated so terribly, especially after the corona virus issue. Customers being scolded, yelled at, and refused service, and even after the mask mandate has been lifted I was forced to put on a mask to check out, even after I explained I have asthma. I will never return. Lowes, next door, is by far, a better and friendlier place to shop.

Michigan City Menards is so much more helpful than in Valpo. Employees in Michigan city go out of their way to help with all your needs. Valpo Menards you are on your own. You have to search for an employee and hope they are assigned to the dept you need help in. Kudos to Michigan City employees.

Manards had everything that we needed and more. Being able to save the 15% was a definite plus. When we needed help, it was there for us. Never have a problem shopping there.

Couldnt find assistance with my plumbing needs (kitchen sink piping). Couldnt find assistance with tile.

Best place for a little bit of everything! Went in for pellets and came out with quite a few household goods at reasonable prices.

I had a section of drywall that needed to be replaced. I have never done drywall. The employee in the building dept. listened to the problem, took my order and told I would need suggested tools, told me the depts. where the items were I am impressed! The employee outside in the yard cut the drywall for me and loaded everything. I will ALWAYS GO TO THIS HOME STORE!!!! FABULOUS HELP! 😁😁😁

This is the only store in Michigan City that wont let you in without a mask. No problem! Just popped over to Lowes -literally next door- where customer experience is much better anyway.Menards is that kind of store that tries to compete with other big fish like The Home Depot and Lowes yet never even gets close. Sad.

COVID CHANGED EVERYTHING

Michigan City Menards is just as good as any other Menards Ive been at. Which is to say its better than home Depot, and different than Lowes. Menards is the only store in Michigan City that is requiring masks that I know of. Im okay with that. Its their store, whatever they want to do.Throughout the years I do believe that Menards carries better quality doors than Lowes. But Lowes has friendlier service, and more employees walking throughout the store. Or at least it seems that way. I like Lowes power tool section quite a bit better. It seems they have more of the higher end tools. On that note, Menards has a decent selection of harbor freight quality tools. Saves you from having to go to harbor freight.You cannot browse the bulk wood section indoors at Menards. This is a negative. On a side note Menards has an amazing amount of food. Including good deals, on barbecue sauce, chips, and they have milk, which is great!This Menards is easy to get to, and it is right next to a lot of major shopping and restaurants. And not very far away from lighthouse place outlets.

Michigan City has changed around the store a tad but still great help in locating items. Even with lots of Christmas shoppers.

Menards is a good place for tools and building materials as well as bargains on food, and snacks, clothes and lighting and a variety of electrical stuff. They also have pretty good clearance items of all kinds.

S/o to Menards in Michigan city for there TERRIBLE service yesterday when buying a generator for in store pick up. The store manager was super disrespectful and rude. Donna put a generator up for us to pick up after buying it online. Had it all put away with a receipt of purchase on it and then the store manger decided it would be fair to sell it to another customer after there was already a sold receipt on it. Asked the store manager how it would feel if that happened to him. He just replied “that has happened to me before”. So I guess it is okay to treat someone else like that since he has gotten treated like that. What happened to the “Golden Rule”. Thank you to the store manager, but we WILL NOT purchase anything else from Menards again.

Picking up a special order today. Also, bought a new saw for use on a composite deck project. Staff was helpful with the right saw blade for the job, and my order pick up had me out of the store quickly.

They are hiring more nice and smiling people; they make me feel ok and confident to ask.

I love this place for the most part, they have good prices and selection, the only thing I dont like is if you need a lot of building material you have to go all the way to the back and order it, then the register to pay, then drive around and load it.

Great place to pick up plumbing, hardware, and lumber. Unfortunately they tend to be low on specialty stuff and their system doesnt reorder parts until theyre completely out of it. Other than that, great place to go.

They are taking good precautions for social distancing and requiring face masks. The employees are respectful and 11% rebates are great!

Masks are required to get in the door. Carts wiped and ready, limited number of people allowed in current occupancy limitations. Social distancing at register lines. Pin pads are wiped after every customer. Very respectful of the current situation.

Yesterday I went to the store and I ran into my neighbor in the parking lot. We talked walking up to the door. The lady inside the door wouldnt let me in. She said we were together and even raised her voice and was so rude. She embarrassed me and wouldnt even listen that he was my neighbor. So I spent my money at Lowes. I will never go back there again
