Herman Alter actually does some jobs very well despite that he weighs twice what a normal person weighs.In all candor I was a consultant and helped grow his business hugely. Then he opened a second location without talking to anyone who could help and lost maybe a half million of his best friends money.I always had difficulty because I am repulsed by very fat people as one who has worked out 6 days a week from age 15. If you can get past that then hes not bad at his work.When he fell in love with Donald Trump I was no longer able to provide useful services and we parted ways. So politics and obesity aside hes not bad

Herman and all the staff at Metro Door where amazing! From the design process to customization and installation, everything was great! Herman is not only honest but he also really knows what he is doing and he is as picky with quality and details as I am. Dont let the name Metro Door fool you, they did my entire kitchen, vanities, closets and custom built-in. I highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful experience working with Metro Door Aventura. My husband and I were initially overwhelmed with the work we wanted to do in order to upgrade our home. When we met with Herman he helped us organize the projects we wanted to complete and take things one step at a time. We were initially hesitant to trust anyone with working in our home to deliver what they had promised. Though, Metro Door Aventura put our concerns to rest quickly after working with them. The men came on time and worked very hard to complete every project in a timely manner. My family and friends were impressed with how quickly they worked. Herman made sure to double check all of the work that was complete and did not finish until we were satisfied. In total, we love the work that Metro Door Aventura completed for us. Our home has been transformed for the better, by Hermans wood work. The kitchen cabinets, Murphey bed, sliding doors, mirrors, door paneling and all the custom cabinetry were complete beyond our expectations. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a company that is trustworthy and does great work!

I was very fortunate to retain Mr. Herman Alter and his team of professionals at Metro Door Aventura. I recently purchased a condo in Aventura and had a less than positive experience with another project manager. I knew the interior doors in the unit needed to be replaced among other things, and fortunately came across an ad for Metro Door Aventura in City Guide of Aventura, and also came across the company when searching the Houzz website.After going to the showroom, and meeting with Mr. Alter I realized that not only could he take care of the does but would be an excellent Project Manager and would have terrific design ideas for the entire renovation. The five references I checked confirmed that they should be retained. Because this is a second home, And I dont live in the area, during the project I was apprised of all progress with regular pictures sent to me via email. It provided much assurance that the work was moving on track.The project was finished on schedule, on budget and that included additional work that I requested. Herman is an excellent Designer who has seen other Designers kitchen mistakes before, and and bypasses them saving you time, aggravation and money. The entire company (drivers and installers included) is dedicated to your complete satisfaction. Great people to deal with for Doors, Closets and Kitchens! CUSTOM is what I needed and CUSTOM is what I got! I just completed a high end renovation in Miami Beach and Herman came very highly recommended. We needed custom doors -- pocket, bifold, euro style, and they all had to match. No other resource offered to do that. Needless to say the job looks spectacular (I am an interior designer in New York) and we are now planning to use Herman for a Manhattan project and arrange for him to bring his goods north!
