BUYER BEWARE........The sod this company sold me was full of disease as you can see in the pictures, and as a result died. I attempted to contact the owner of the company more than once to come up with a reasonable solution. She did not have any interest in trying to correct the situation, even though their disclaimer says, Action Sod guarantees all material will be delivered in good and healthy condition... Very poor product and very poor customer service. I was able to get my money back by with my credit card company. Shop elsewhere.

This is a very nice nursey. They havee a large selection of beautiful healthy plants and flowering plants. The staff was super nice and helpful. Looking forward to going back in the future.

Ordered 4 pallets of Palmetto grass over last 2 days. All of them were in perfect condition with solid soil base, no insects and no signs of fungus. If your grass dies, its probably due to not knowing how to care for it. If it comes healthy, you have to keep it healthy. Be sure to read about maintaining Palmetto and preventing fungus. Proactive and regular maintenance is a must.

We bought homes from Lennar (Via Ventura) who hired Action Sod landscape for landscape. The trees are all infected with diseases and the grass is all dying for everyone who purchased. There is no sod underneath whatsoever. Unfortunately if you are a developer like Lennar, you are only setting yourself for trouble when hiring a landscape company like Action Sod. Your home buying customers will be throwing lawsuits your way and wont be purchasing any further. We have documentation of children and dogs getting bitten from the grass that was delivered infected with eggs of gnats and other insects. The infected grass has brought unwanted pests as they feed off of them. Do not hire Action Sod as a landscaper, this company is terrible and is doing the lousiest job you can get. We have asked for replacement grass and Action Sod refuses to supply. We are extremely disappointed customers.

I was looking to buy 4 planters and was referred to Action Sod by the manufacturer. I called and Spoke to Nancy and she told me that they had the specific planters in stock. I asked her if she could hold them for me for a few days as I live about an hour and 45 minutes away. Not only did she hold them but went out of her way to send me a picture to make sure I didnt waste a trip. She was terrific. When she took the pictures she even held up a tape measure to make sure they were the right size as there are many of the same planter in various sizes.

Unprofessional. I contacted them to get a quote and was given one set of prices; when I called back to place the order, the prices were suddenly different (higher, of course). Placed the order 2 days in advance to request an early morning delivery; was promised a window between 7am and noon. Delivery did not show up until end of the day - am I supposed to lay sod in the dark? Called the office to ask for a make good and asked for my original salesperson; the person asked me to hold a moment, then came back and lied some more...

Was able to get milkweed plants for a very reasonable price. Lots of varieties of plants.

My husband and I always talked about having fine turf in our home. We recently had the opportunity to install it in our back yard, after having to remove 600 sq ft of concrete and that was installed by previous owners without a permit. Long story, short. We spoke to the staff of Action Sod several times over the phone and went to the location to see the sod. We bought Geo fine turf. When placing the order, we were not advised that if they didnt get other orders they might not be able to complete our order for the date promised, as the farm is far away and they have a minimum order to fill. Apparently, this doesnt happen often, as they have a good flow of business. When I spoke to the manager and explained we were counting on it being here this past weekend and had already hired a company to install, they made it happen. It might not have made sense logistically for them to go for just 3 pallets of sod to the farm, but they did. It is important for me to work with company that stands by its mistakes and honors what they have promised its customers. I will continue to purchase from them even though they are far away from my home. The grass is beautiful as well.

Very rude. No sense of empathy or knowledge of proper customer service. Someone please get the 2 ladies who work in front some classes in treating people. Drove 30 miles for no help. I only give and extra star because they do have a good selection of sod and plants.

Great prices and the product selection is huge. I gave it 1 star instead of 5 stars, because some of the people that work loading the sod and one of the ladies at the front are extremely rude and seem to not care whatsoever. It was a very bad experience two times which I was turned away with cart loads of items because they did not feel like ring me up 1 minutes prior to closing when I was already inside. I was also told by a lady in the area of loading sod and other items that she did not want to help me because I didnt speak Spanish very well. Would of given 4 or 5 stars if the employees were not so rude and customers were valued more. Such a shame this happened more than once for such a great place. The owner did call me back and apologized and offered free items. I then got a call 3 days later from a receptionist asking how much I wanted to order so they could arrange free delivery instead. Decided to go elsewhere after that.

The worst grass in the world. They really messed up the owners of homes of Lennar at Via Ventura. The brought us grass with pests in it and refuses to replace it for us. If you are a developer, please save your self the headache of angry homeowners, their are hundreds of us. DO NOT USE ACTION SOD FOR YOUR CLIENTS.

We purchased sod and installation of the son through this company. The sod delivered was yellow and dry. I was told not to worry. Then the installation was done miserably. They didnt grade the yard or put down a layer of soil, just slammed it on top on anything including large protruding roots from Banyans and Royal Poincianas, knowing full well grass would not grow on them. Lastly, the company refuses to provide any customer services. This was a HUGE job and cost a lot of money. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!

I have bought a substantial amount of plants and sod over the years. I recently bought 2 pallets of sod. 1 was fine the other bad. Grass from bad died. Emailed and called, got no response. Don’t by sod from them.

Purchased sand bags for the hurricane and some other customers were complaining about them increasing the bags from $1 to $2 in one day. I know its not a big difference but for someone who is purchasing 50 bags it could be. Clearly they were taking advantage of the hurricane situation and must have made a huge profit out of it. I ended up buying it but next time Ill look somewhere else

The girl in the front has to learn certain manners about how to treat customers, she got involved in the herb order, she gave me 2 pallets instead of 6 and then she wants me to fix the thing, she says that because I am also an employee, but Come here who does she think she can question one like that ?! That is disrespect, I hope my company finds another provider who treats one better.

I was on the day of aller in the nursery in search of different trees a wild palm of 750 dollars some Italian pines of 90 dollars each 6 of them and other things I asked for an estimate so that they brought it to my house and planted it, they attended me one of her vanessa saleswomen at the time told me to expect that she was tending to someone else something that i understood, after she touched my number I waited for her to give me prices and tell me how everything worked, but she only took a piece of paper that she had on top of her From the table I quickly wrote down what I needed and she said that she would send me an estimate so quickly was that I omitted something in my email and realized when I got home that I had not given the correct email this morning. June 18, 2020 call early at 9 oclock to rectify the email and they told me that the Vanessa lady had not arrived, call about 1030 am and I managed to communicate with her, we rectified the email and she said that in 15 minutes she would send me the Dear, it is 2 oclock in the afternoon and I still have not received the email and above all I call again and they tell me that I am disrespectful because I spoke in a high tone, when my timbre de vos is like that or that they dont do their job as I decide and on top of that I have to put up with the pardons THAT THIS NURSERY HAS TO TREAT ITS CUSTOMERS. Then I asked to speak to the supervisor and they told me that her name was Barbara who was not there and that she knew how her workers behaved, then I called again and asked to speak to Barbara this time she was attended by a certain SHAVELI and she told me that the complains were not over the phone but they were by email I had to send an email I start talking to explain what happened to me and when I finish waiting to have an answer I only find that there was no one on the line, they had left me talking like crazy. TREATING YOUR CLEINTEW HOURLY THE DIRECTION OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT SHOULD REVIEW IT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT HNO COMES TO SPEND HIS MONEY AND TREAT IT AS A BUT DONT SEPARATE YOU THE WAY YOU WORK

Like half a pallet of grass, nobody helped load it to my car, if I wanted help I had to pay extra ... very bad service. And when I get home and put it on it looks good, but it filled my garden with some little black bugs like mini flies that bite and leave horrible bites.I was quite unhappy.
