Not what I expected when you think ACE Hardware. Guess thats why it called Budget. Very tight dark isles, merchandising presentation needs to step up. At the same time I may be somewhat bias seeing how I tend to shop at the big brand home improvement stores and this visit was for my job. Now their no slouch, they do accommodate the needs of their demographic. I guess I just have a thing when it comes to aesthetics..👍🏼

Good service and prices

Just dropped in to have some keys made. I arrived around 10 a.m. on a weekday, and the line at the main register was SUPER long. But after waiting patiently for a few minutes under the sign at Register 3, that read KEYS, an older gentleman kindly asked how he could help me, and in 10 minutes or so, I was on my way with 5 shiny new keys in my pocket.The service was $3.50 per key, plus tax, and it was super professional and no-hassle. For example, the key-maker didnt try to pressure me into buying novelty keys and the woman working the pay register didnt try to get me to buy any needless accessories. Plus, super-bonus, the keys actually WORK!Ill definitely return to Budget/Ace to have keys made in the future, and I highly recommend it to you, too. Its super convenient, and the keys are quality.

Of you’re looking for whatever, home related, this place has it. It’s covered, floor to ceiling, with anything and everything paint, construction, electrical, etc. and it is conveniently located downtown. STOP throwing your money away at box box stores and SHOP LOCAL. This ACE has plenty of parking and it central to downtown Miami, Midtown, Wynwood and Brickell.

I was assuming that they would be able to accommodate my budget but alas... They couldnt and forced me to walk to the next block inland and steal copper piping from the construction site just to break even.

Please ensure anything you buy here is subject to a NO RETURN policy. They enforce it, are strict on it, even if the product is NOT used and you go with a receipt.I spent quite a bit of money in various items recently, 2 items (out of 10+) did not work for me and they did not want to accept them.The attitude with the employees and the manager are incredible. They act as if you were begging for money for an item you purchased from them (at a premium price).Unfortunately, being a local I will rather go to a large home improvement store (Lowes, Home Depot) which are farther just because of the service and their policies.I will not be back, to me SERVICE is everything.

I was amazed how rude employees at this store were. You can tell it comes from management as the Manager Santiago was as rude if not more. Definitely this is not a service oriented business.

I went to ACE Hardware/Budget Hardware on 17ST&NE2AVE just to get familiar some elements I may need. They were very helpful and understanding to my thoughts. I was mistreated by the manager after questioning his return policy which accepts no tool returns. They have a sign placed very high above your head by the registers that no one can see. I was trying to return a painting rod extender which I did not get to use. He told me it was the owners policy. I asked to speak to the owner and was told the owner is never there. When I told him very politely that this policy was outrageous and that I would make sure to let people I knew be aware about it, he lashed out against me, completely lost his temper and very disrespectfully told me to GET OUT both in English and Spanish, using curse words at times and calling demeaning pronouns. I made sure to go back to ask for explanation for his treatment, all while being extremely calm, this time I recorded to have prove of his abuse and he even tried to force the phone out of my hands and told his employees to call the cops. He proceeded to take video and pictures of my and my car and told me he never wanted to see me there again and almost manually pushed me out of his store. There is no excuse for such incredible mistreatment of costumers when the costumer is making no aggressive remarks and all I demanded was a fair treatment. I believe this person who I was told is the manager is aggressive and dangerous to the public. I have made an official complain with Ace Hardware Corporate Offices and the have opened an investigation on the matter. All I ask is for them to officially apologize in writing for their abusive treatment and to acknowledge their mistake.

Great place to shop. Knowledgeable and professional staff, always happy to help. Always properly greeted when walking in. Dont be afraid to ask for help finding something. Its a big place. They are installing a very large generator so they will be open during power outages.

My regret is that there’s no way to give these people a -5 star. Worse service imaginable! Their return policy is never to take anything back period. Well my new policy is never to shop at your store ever again. Rude and disrespectful employees and managers.

Great local place, the older gentleman in the hardware section is super knowledgeable, just explain to him what kind of project youre doing and he ll come up with the exact nut, bolt, anchor or whatever it is that will work best.The bad reviews are due to their no return policy on tools, which is more than fair otherwise half the people would just buy the tool, get the project done and return it, not cool.

Everyone was very helpful as soon as I walked in the door. Obviously, not a big box store with everything I needed but still the location is convenient and I got 90% of what I needed. A bit hard to spot heading south on ne 2nd so keep your eyes peeled. Enough parking.

Brought a piece of plywood I bought from a different Ace Store and ask them if they could cut 4 pieces. (Each cut is $4). The girls from the counter were very nice, but whoever is the manager or owner. Gave me a solid “No, we don’t cut other stores wood” Wait! I’m a regular customer, plus I was going to pay for the cuts and all the rest of the hardware for the remodeling I’m doing at home, with merchandise from the store (probably a few hundred) Wrong move... What type of store wants to lose money like this. Customer Service gets a zero! Won’t be coming back again.

Incredibly rude (and vulgar) owner. Owner will not not honor sticker price on their items when in favor of the customer but is ready to scream vulgarities at customers when the mistake is the other way around.Worst thing is that items in store are priced 25% higher than the same items on the ACE store page; even for same-day in-store pickup items.

Has alot of specialty fasteners

Over the past few days I have bought so much supplies to renovate my apartment from this store. When I got home I found that a couple of items worth less then $2 are broken. I went back to the store to exchange them, the guys refused the items. Also I had a paint sealer that i bought there and I wanted to exchange. When I told the guys that this store is the worst ace hardware franchise he got pissed and said he wouldn’t exchange the sealer either.There is another ace hardware in Brickell that’s much better that I used before and recommend. I’ll be happy to drive an extra five minutes then to deal with the store again.

Have everything you should need for day to day hardware. Organization is a little off but other than that great.

Staff is very helpful, and knowledgeable. Family atmosphere . I frequent this store for my hardware and bbq needs. Quick and easy find. Unlike Homedepot and the bigger chain stores price ranges from inexpensive to expensive. No hassle .

Best place for hardware needs. They have things other stores dont have. The complaints from other people are mostly because they cant return tools, which the store makes explicitly is not refundable. Moreover, the policy of the store is written on the receipt and by the cashier so there are no surprises.

Only good thing about this place is that is close to my apt. The attitude of their employees suck.. And there is an old man with glasses that both times I been there curses like is all good.. Lack of professionalism in this place

The worse service ever! got a product and l had to open it to try but it didnt work at all! Spent 70$ and the manager did not care and could not accept it. it was in perfect condition. l am 9 month pregnant and the handle of the balcony is broken. The guy could easily help me out but he didn’t care at all.Service is all you beed in this kind of stores.No wonder everybody talks bad about this location!Terrible service!

Extremely disappointing. Walked in yesterday and purchased a special bit for a special type of screw. Asked if I may return it if its the wrong size and they said yes. Came back an hour later cause it was the wrong size and took another. Next morning I returned a second time because it was still the wrong size and wanted to return it for a refund since they did not have the correct size. They wouldnt allow me to return it. Im out $15.00 for an item that is useless to me. The stupid, I mean very stupid employee who could not even speak a word of English, in spite of saying hes worked there for 10 years, pointed to a sign on the wall which says, no returns for tools. If you cant speak or understand Spanish, dont waste your time going to this place. If you want to be cheated, shop here. This is so typical of so many stores in Miami. Lousy service, no one speaks English, tell you one thing and do another, absolutely no consideration for customer satisfaction. Never going to this place again. They lost my business for ever.

Terrible !!! No one even knows what a tension rod is. I went back the following day because the rod I was sold was incorrect, and brought up my concern to the manager (who tried charging me a restocking fee). Manager had no patience and told me his employees are much better than Home Depots. 😂Maybe he was having a bad day.

Good place to buy if you are in Edgewater

I come here all the time for our company remodeling projects. The prices are fair, some higher than the big box stores and some lower. The Benjamin Moore paint prices are great. Employees always ready to help you find something. They have a lot of smaller tools and supplies that you wont find at Home Depot/Lowes, not to mention a lumber supply centrally located around the Midtown/Brickell area . I mostly decided to write this review to counter another negative one that complains about not being able to return a tool. There are signs posted right in front of checkout counter stating so- its not like it isnt advertised. Overall, great place to get supplies in a pinch.
