Parking can be difficult to find a spot during the afternoon. The atmosphere is a mixture of South and Central America culture. While shopping, I enjoyed the classical Spanish music in the supermarket. Great quality produce section from fruits to veggies. Great prices on the meat and chicken section. Check out was quick and easy.

The store is always well stocked, clean and organized. The employee who helped me was very gracious and kind.

They have good deals on beef, pork and chicken. Everything else is pretty much average price. The vegetables and fruit are sold to be used within 2-3 days so you cant really buy for the week. Its my go to place for my meat and chicken though so I rate it pretty high.

They have a German malt non alcoholic beverage that is my new favorite malt recovery drink...hyper......its what I expected a grocery to be with really bright advertising on Guatemalan fruit drinks...... And a larger buffet then I expected...

They make you take off your backpack and leave bags at the front while you shop. That had been their way of handling security for the past decade or more. They let purses go in but not bags it is very strange and mashes you feel uncomfortable going there. You can buy medicine or anything of of importance next door at the CVS then walk in here and they say they must hold your medicine even. The food they sell is lower quality and less products compared to Sedanos across the street. Prices are high. I only go here rarely when in a hurry to pick something up when I go to the pharmacy next door. Would not recommend other than that because all other markets in the area are better with friendlier atmosphere and policies.

Great place to find fresh vegetables and spices. The prices are as reasonable as Walmart. The collection of fruits and vegetables are better than what I can find in other regular superstores like Publix or Walmart. Definitely worth it to checkout for your routine grocery shopping.

I could give the place 4 stars prices aren’t bad so the products. But the customer service on the made food line is HORRIBLE- RUDE- DESPICABLE.You can see many as 5-6 ladies/ workers behind that counter and the line long, inpatient and only 1-2 ladies helping. They also have a very bad attitude toward you. If you ask them question the response is rude, rushed like ppl are supposed to know their job.This review is not based on one experience. In the past month I went like 4 times and every single experience have been like this . Again not the store the made food department where you buy already cooked food to go ( completas)Thank you for not appreciating your customers Ladies..

Ive known this supermarket alongtime ago when it was Food Value till now being Food Star and love the great deals from the meats and poultry great prices! When it comes too the produce its convenient but gotta save it and seal it in ziploc bags but great prices too save money,shopping for hispanic products is very convenient and the people who work at Food Star are very attentive and helpful! This supermarket is great. The people are friendly. The cooks in the back of the supermarket make the best wholesome quality Hispanic hot food equal if not better than moms cooking. And, the prices for ALL of the items are a lot less than other places. Best Hispanic supermarket in the area. Yep, even better than Sedanos and Extra.

Its a small, clutter filled supermarket but always has what I need when it comes to vegetables and some fruit. Those items are usually reasonably prices likewise their meat products. I consider them to be always fresh and am quick to pick these items up here than at the name brand supermarket.

When it comes to Hispanic food and great prices, this is your place! Anyone that works here would help you with energy and hapiness. Papito, Falcón, Gustavo, Carmen. These wonderful people make you feel home, every time I go they help me and even give me cafecito. Prices are insanely cheap. Parking can get packed but it moves fast.

I dont care if their employees speak or not English, this is Latin small market, serving mostly to a Spanish speaking population. But what is really concerning me is the lack of customer service. Most of their employees dont know how to deal with customers. Starting with the owner(s), that open the facility for customers and employees at the same time, which means that almost nothing is ready by the time they open up the doors; also employees dont know how to communicate and be polite with customers. Very disrespectful, they dont care in providing excellence in their service to the community. Very disappointed, I dont think Ill be coming back again.

Handy little market, worth the slightly overpriced items for convenience, and they have the freshest milk! But dropped 2 stars because they do not honor their posted hours of operation. They will lock their doors 5, 10, even 15+ minutes before their posted time. Happened to me too many times when Ive needed just milk for my baby. Have called them while standing at the door 10 min before closing and they told me they cant let me in, that they have to close early to be out by closing time. Very unprofessional to say the least. Service is a bit rude if you ask any questions as well.

From customers to employees alike, this place is horrific. Their employees are rude, lack peoples skills and customer service habits. The customers seem to be trained by management as they leave their carts in the middle of the aisle, and if you dare to move their cart it gives you the impression that you might get into an altercation. The worst and rudest employees are the cashiers. I guess you get what you pay for!

I usually go here late at night after my girlfriend gets off from work and i do like that they are open late but every time we go and buy raw chicken they always throw it in the first bag they find they dont care about cross contamination or salmonella and every time I let the cashier know they just make a face and the manager never cares..

I was there this Friday September 9; and I have to tell that this market has the worse costumer service in Miami,no fresh products, I had to throught out some of products I bought, its a shame that place still in Miami thats the kind of service we deserve in Miami? You think because most of people going there dont have more money dont deserve respect?Never going there again. Its a shame!

This place was one of the few places open during the recent hurricane that passed. Winn dixie was closed, publix, and walmart. But this place was open, and it was fully stocked and comfortable. A very lowkey store that was looking out for the neighbors in the area. Products were a bit pricey but we were just looking for some hurricane essentials.

The worst customer service ever experienced in this store. Just stopped by Food Star market on Flagler and 107 avenue. NEVER will I ever go there again. I was in register 2 waiting to be ringed up and as the cashier started, I asked her nicely if she could double bag the apples for me since I was walking and out of no where she just cut my hear off answering me back in a rude way. I was like wow. So i tried to speqk to the manager who was an old guy. I told him what had happened and he told that I shouldnt have asked for double bag in the first place. He didnt care that the cashier was rude to me. And friends this is why I rather pay much more at Publix because I will be treated way much better. These latin markets have the worst customer service.
