This was on our things to do while vacationing in Miami. We are happy that we got to go the ice cream was Delicious! My son didn’t care too much for the birthday cake but the cafe con leche was amazing. No complaints! :)Great customer service the works were very friendly and didn’t seem to get bothered when asked to try a flavor.
Sweet & TastyI have to say this is one of Miamis hidden gems💎 . The customer service is great and the employees are very patient. I should know because I taste tested at least 6 to 7 different ice cream flavors, before I made my decision. And I must say the ice cream selection is amazing. Theres an ice cream flavor for everyone and if you need help choosing the employees are happy to help. I had a regular waffle cone with Guava ice cream. Delicious 😋But the only thing I did not like was parking the ice cream Parlor sits on the main road and theres only so much parking on the side of the road so I had to park my car around the corner and pay. Over all the environment was welcoming and the experience was one I cant forget.
Azucar Ice Cream is located in the heart of Little Havana on Calle Ocho. They have traditional flavors like chocolate/vanilla/pistachio but the original flavors are the best. After sampling way too many, I decided to go with Abuela Maria. The serving size of just one scoop was huge and the ice cream was delicious. Azucar is a must if you’re in Little Havana
Customer service was awesome shoutout to Ashley . They allowed free taste to know which ice cream would be best for you. Price was reasonable. We ordered 1 scoop of coffee oreo in cone which is good not too sweet which i like and 1 scoop of nutella on cup my sister really like. The place is Instagramable too.
We were walking down Calle ocho and saw this little ice cream parlor and we had to go inside. Just the front sign it looked so cool! We go inside and instantly attended and offered some of their best sellers. We went with their #2 best seller “Cafe con Leche” a coffee base with Oreos scattered inside. It was very delicious and since it was a warmer night it hit the spot!
Tried Cuban ice cream for the first time and loved it!! Lot of flavors to choose from. Must try Abuela Maria and dont forget to take it in the waffle cone.****Editing this review since we went back for more!!! We now tried Celia and loved it too****Worth the money and great job at keeping the ice creams at affordable price.Very friendly employees and they had the same enthusiasm even towards the end of the day.
Nothing special. The service was friendly and the ice cream was delicious but it’s very overpriced for that you get. I had the guava flavor and that was very good but almost every flavor that I sampled was very boring and lacking flavor. I wanted two scoops but nothing really tasted good enough to actually add to my cone so I just picked one.The flavors aren’t chunky and were underwhelming. Would I recommended? Maybe for the service and the guava flavor but everything else? I’d say no. I’ve had better ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s/Dairy Queen and almost every other bring franchise name.
I liked it. It was too sweet for me. Melts really quick, make sure to be seated inside.Loved the ambience of the place, seating arrangement by the bay window is so cool.Loved savouring the ice cream while glancing through the tourists on the streets of Little Havana.Kids love it here.Nice place. Warm cultured people.
Heard about this ice cream spot before coming to Miami and definitely wanted to try it! It’s in the middle of little Havana, you can’t miss it. We tried their No1 bestseller ABUELA MARIA and it was very good. Made of creamer cheese, Maria cookies and guava. Guava sauce comes on top.Very different than any other ice creams I had before. Liked it a lot!
Yummmmmm!Azucar is delicious! The Abuela Maria is lovely! They had so many amazing flavors, wish I could have been able to sample them all. I love all the Cuban inspired flavors. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more! Not a spot you can find just anywhere. The service is excellent.A must try in Little Havana!
Excellent ice cream! You can tell it’s homemade and made fresh. There’s a few tables to sit outside, but very limited seats inside with no tables. Most people take the ice cream to go, and you can always eat across the street at the park.We got the abuela Maria ice cream, it was incredible! I recommend you also spring for their homemade fresh waffle cone to go with your ice cream. Will be coming back
Delicious ice cream! Try the “Cafe Con Leche” if you like coffee!
Wow, Cuban ice cream is delicious! Love the global variety and uniqueness of flavors here! The Abuela Maria was so good! My only complaint is the the prices are a little high, but not outrageous like some of the other homemade ice cream shops in South Florida.
I have to say I absolutely loved all the flavors they had. I once went with my family and we all ordered different things and when I tasted them all it was just a match made in heaven. 10/10 would recommend.
I enjoyed the Maria cookies and guava but wish it had a bit more guava flavor. Was still very good though.
Wide variety of ice cream flavors. One of the best ice cream places that I know. Bonus I have no clue what the political inclination of the owners are
My husband and I stopped here while on vacation in Miami, and the ice cream was delicious. We sampled several flavors, and we chose the birthday cake and cafe con leche. We enjoyed this ice cream in Little Havana, and we will definitely return when we are back in the area.
Great ice cream kinda dirty the chairs outside I will recommend the guys to paid more attention to that detail because some people don’t cleaner after themselves and wasn’t sanitary
Good ice cream but not over the top. I tried the Guava and cream cheese and was not overly impressed.
Must visit if u r in little Havana!!!I was reluctant to go as ice creams doesnt match our taste buds but my husband force me and OH MY GODDDDDDDDI was thrilled to found an ice cream parlor of our likingWe tried Cafe con Leche- cuban coffee and oreo ice cream with waffle and felt on cloud nine!!!!! (It is the second best selling flavour of the parlor)We were so excited to have found our favorite flavor that we ordered the same flavor cake!!!It is a great place + interior and exterior both are great places to click and share on instagram ☺️
A part of Little Havana since the Summer of 2011, Azucar Ice Cream promises guests an experience built upon diverse cultures and natural Ingredients, expansion to Dadeland as well as Dallas seeing the brand thriving thanks to both its quality and customer service.Owned by Suzy Battle, memories of her Abuela’s recipes igniting a passion for things such as Guava, Plantains and Mamey, it is inside the colorful shop that guests will find a rotating variety of flavors, staples such as Cuban Coffee and Caramel Flan always available while “Bourbon Buns” with whole chunks of Cinnamon Rolls from Knaus Berry Farm are a lucky find.Still featuring long lines amidst COVID-19 precautions, though PPE is required to enter and donned by all staff, it was after a few tastes that “Abuela Maria” was loaded into a freshly made Waffle Cone, the creaminess suggesting a high Milk Fat base punctuated by chunks of Guava, crumbled Cookies and swirls of Cream Cheese.
Great place for ice cream. They have sooo many latin flavors! They use real fruit from the local farms into the ice cream. They are quick to serve you and very friendly. Anyone visiting South Florida MUST experience this part of little havana on 8th Street. I try a different flavor every time and they are so good I just cant pick a favorite! A great treat for these hot days!
The chick at the register seriously got an attitude with me because I did not leave a tip. What did she do to deserve a tip?? totally nothing. I’m tired of these businesses acting like you owe them extra money I came in to purchase ice cream so I’m already in a way leaving the business a tip I don’t need to leave the individual person at the register an additional tip. Ice cream was mediocre at best anyways.
We love coming to this shop for a piece of Miami History and culture and of course delicious and UNIQUE ice cream flavors. Def a must have ♥️
Great range of flavours and very friendly staff. But I was disappointed by the guava ice cream flavour - It was just a plain vanilla style ice cream with small hints of guava and drizzled with a guava sauce. I’ve had some really authentic guava ice cream in India and I know what the taste should be like - sadly this was more sugar than guava 😞
Place is clean and nice.Staff are really nice, understanding, polite, and the service is quick. The ice cream was amazing. There are so so many options and each day is different. It was so tasty, the quality was great and for the regular waffle cones you don’t need to pay extra. 1 scoop is $4.50, 2 scoops is $6.00, and 3 scoops is $7.00. Each scoop is big which is great. The price might be a bit much, but you get a big scoop with good quality, and with a good quality waffle cone.I really recommend this place and I would definitely come back here again.
Their ice cream tastes great. Tastes even better while youre appreciating the MASSIVE sculpture of an ice cream cone outside. Very cool!Follow up:...Beacon of delicious hope! Yes!!!!! Well said Azucar Team!
Came in April 3rd to the store with my friends. The ice cream cone was absolutely rad and large, and I got 2 scoops. The price is not an issue to me, nor should it be to tourists as it fills you up for a long time, and it’s REALLY good.Note: this is the first time I’ve went, but this is most indefinitely not the last time I’m coming. I give this ice cream shop 5 stars as their service was quick, efficient, and most of all: pleasing and delicious!
The ice cream here is to absolutely to die for. I got coconut and passion fruit and it was amazing.
Best local ice-cream place Ive ever been to. Plenty of options of flavors all of which are homemade.
Amazing flavors! Perfect place to go and enjoy your day
The best! Bring back the sweet plantain ice cream please!!
Such a cute shop! The service was attentive and quick. The coconut flan and abuela Maria were unique and delicious. I will be back to try more flavors.
Lovely ice cream spot that has velvety smooth ice cream that is reminiscent of Italian gelato, but in a wonderfully Cuban way. Their signature flavor is a Cuban staple of cream cheese and guava, like the staple sweet empanada. But I didn’t get the signature flavor after sampling it because another flavor caught my eye. As many Cubans in the US fled the regime of their homeland for better opportunities, their food culture and disdain for the government of their homeland came together in a great flavor. Their “Die in Hell Fidel” is a rich and smooth chocolate with cayenne pepper that leads one to enjoy the decadent sweet heat of the ice cream while taking in a little bite of Cuban sentiment towards the former premier. Political comedy aside, this place provides wonderful flavors befitting of Calle 8 in Little Havana.
Azucar Ice Cream is the cutest lil ice cream shop! The service is so quick, the employees are friendly and patient with people who want to sample the flavors before buying. They have an amazing variety of flavors and they’re absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend checking out Azucar Ice Cream 🍨 🍦 😋
I am a non-traditionalist when it comes to ice cream flavors (gelato is a different story), and so I went ga-ga staring into the ice cream case at Azucar. They have some very unique flavors! And they are great about letting you try as many as you want.In the end, I got the Abuela Maria, which is their signature flavor. Its basically a guava and cheese pastry in ice cream form. SO yummy. To balance it out, I also got the coconut, which was excellent.Simply put, you cant pass on Azucar if you love ice cream.
Im not an ice cream lover like some people but when you talk about Azucar ice cream not only delicious 😋is a nice place to take your childrens. TRY ABUELA MARIA & COFFE ICE CREAM
Good place to taste different flavors!!! The coffee one was great!!! You’ll have to find a parking spot and then walk there. The place is always busy. There are a ton of flavors to pick from!!
Lots of flavors listed, but all not always available. I wanted apple pie, but settled for Fandango Berry which was awesome.
Best Ice cream! I literally have dreams and cravings about the abuela Maria ice cream…. To the point where I’ve paid to get it delivered through Uber eats. Delicious Maria cookies, chunks of guava. What else could you possibly ask for???I recommend this place to everyone! if you are looking for a top spot to enjoy a cone(and to take a pint home for later as well!)
Horribly bad service, ice cream is good, but nothing any other icecream shop cant offer with a better experience.
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Homemade ice cream with a touch of love is what they serve. Very fast service and offer you samples when you don’t know what to get.
Amazing ice cream with tons of exotic and exciting flavors. Stop by and try some ice cream. You wont be disappointed.
The best ice cream in little Havana, some say in all of Miami. Delicious and unique flavors. Just wished they actually offered all the flavors. The space is pretty small, so be ready to order and go. Flavors change all the time. Absolutely amazing ice cream. The rum and raisins one was better that the one from by country! You have to try it! The service is quick and employee is friendly.
Delicious ice cream with friendly staff. They allowed us to sample different flavors before we made our selection it was 4 of us and everyone picked something different but they were all delicious.
Very friendly employees and yummy creamy ice cream! I had the Madagascar Vanilla and Butter Pecan, they were so creamy and delicious! The prices arent outrageous like some places Ive been to in the downtown area. We will definitely be back!
Amazing ice cream, HUGE flavor selection and amazing customer service. A true cultural experience I can recommend to anyone visiting!
Nothing special. Better flavors at Haagen Dazs
Great choices, good portions, and delicious ice cream! The only place Mark Weins was right about...
Great place for ice cream. A little too sweet for me.
5 stars are not enough! This places has AWESOME ice cream! I am so glad that we had three scoops of different flavors. I ate PASSION FRUIT ice cream for the first time and it was delicious! Even GUAVA and coffee ones were great!(If you aren’t local I suggest have as many scoops as you can 😉)Also, FYI they do have some eggless and vegan options!
Ive tasted a variety of frozen treats before, and this place dedinu has one of the best tasting ice creams in Miami.
The ice cream is fantastic! The staff that works here are fabulous! Love Little Havana and its gems and this is one of them!!
Great ice cream found here on Calle Ocho!! They have some unique flavors that represent Miami so well! I had Abuela Maria (Maria cookies with Guava) and Cafe con Leche. Both were delicious. The consistency was creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet. Prices are reasonable considering the prime location on Calle Ocho and the storefront is so cute! Just take an Uber or Lyft here because theres no parking.
Have no clue about their ice cream. We went to visit because we saw them onStreets of Dreams with Marcus Lemonis television show.As I walked in I was greeted by the mask police. The young kids working there said without a mask they would not serve me.Oh well, Im sure it may have been good ice cream but I will never know :(I would definitely not recommend this to anyone now or even when the mask police go away.
Since when was ice cream not fun?! I suppose whenever were lacking a positive mood swing, but thats why we have it! ...because ice cream heals :PFor something both mood lifting and eye-catching, Azucar has a solution for your MOO-dy blues. Their consultants on the day I dropped by were Abuela Maria and her apprentice, Butter Pecan. They gave me a silent treatment while advising me from a pink cup, and a therapeutic spoon in my mouth methodology. All I had to do was empty the cup! How easy was that?! One of the best and a super fun healing processes at that; with Azucar - a spoonful of sugar!
Very cute little ice cream shop right in the middle of little Havana. There is no seating inside and little seating on the outside but the ice cream was good! Will visit again!
👌 awesome, really hit the spot on a hot afternoon: mint chocolate chip (my favorite flavor) with their Cookie Monster recipe
Have unusual flavors, is great selection and yummy. I had Genius Beer Chocolate flavor, great.
