I visited the Miami store in order to research the possibility of building a razor strop out of materials available at Tandy. Knowing nothing about leather working, I was at a loss at where to begin. In steps the manager, Orlando, and not only shows me what I need, but demonstrates the tools and techniques necessary to pull off the project. The result was a lovely strop that should last a lifetime.
I recently needed some supplies from them, and Bradon helped me. He found what I needed, and shipped it to me. I been a customer of Tandys since the cub scouts, and a customer of this particular store since it opened a couple of years ago. Bradon is the kind of knowledgeable person 5hat you are happy to do business with. I highly recommend store #180 in Miami Florida...

Every time I go there the service is great, and the staff is very friendly. Im a local bladesmith-maker of fine American hand crafted cutting tools for hunting, cooking, leather crafting. I also make all the sheaths, related products out of leather also. Tandy has some very cost effective tools, other items one could need. Their staff all appear to be knowledgeable in the craft also. I highly recommend Tandy in Miami for you crafting needs.
I visited the Miami Store (managed by Orlando Lima) yest. The store is well kept + organized. The trainer + manager are very welcoming, ready to assist + knowledgeable. They definitely went the extra mile to help me with products i needed + future store visit(s) a must
I began my leather hobby last year and have been able to visit the store a few times. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I’m at the store, I feel like a kid in a candy shop. They have everything you can imagine from tons of different leather to accessories, tools, kits, and much more. I also really appreciate the fact that they have a military appreciation program and care about first responders too.I’m so happy to have a Tandy leather store close to me. I know you can always buy online but nothing beats going to a store in person.
I’ve been coming to Tandy leathers my whole life...this one is by far the best.From the customer service, (ask for Orlando -he is so knowledgeable)to the vast, very well organized selection, the store itself, the layout is spacious, with work tables if you want to stay a while. Worth the trip!

Closest store to Broward now since the Oakland Park one closed.Absolutely huge place in a warehouse district.The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, so ally questions were answered.While its definitely not the cheapest, it wont make you have to take out a second mortgage on the house just to pay for the supplies to build your business.
Nice selection of leather but horrible return policy. Know what you want and save your receipt- In response to the owner. Make the customer experience a good one, even if it is a return..refusing the return will cost more than what the return might be.

Best retail experience Ive had. Staff is not only super friendly but incredibly knowledgeable, I felt like I got a leather working class with my purchase. You can get stuff online but it WILL NEVER BEAT THE INFO YOULL GET BY GOING THERE. They even have space where you can work on your projects FOR FREE! 6 stars!

Well, Im chagrined with my experience. First, I have been a customer for some years . I went into the store on the Open Workshop day Friday at 11am ask to use the Boss handstich machine. The tall balding Latin guy tells me its broke as the heavy set older lady colleague chimes in. I knew this to be a lie so . I walk over to another associate a short young American girl who didnt hear the story yet and asked her could I use the machine, she said sure . So I walked back over to the machine which I could tell wasnt broken after a crank no problem. After this it suddenly put Mr. Its NOT WORKING . In a frenzy to make small talk questions where im from, as if i would like to engage in an casual conversation with a sales associate that just lied and apparently didnt want me to use the machine as they promote to customers. The only associate worth there weight is the young American girl. And she is even hesitant in helping and it seems reluctant. The store is a Basic Cricket Den with them looking for something to do but help customers. Dissatisfied
We drove over from Naples because of an advertisement I had recieve a couple of months back. I called ahead to confirm that 1 they had the machine, 2 that there was someone available to show it and answer any questions I had. They greeted us like family...thou they did not know who we were. When I told them why we were there and where we came from they went out of there way to help answer questions and to make sure all our needs were met. To include setting up my account to best bennifit my company. I purchased the Janome sewing machine an it is amazing! Along with that I purchased items needed for the machine and a great pair of scissors. Finally and not the least....I found some wonderful pieces of leather at such great prices I could not walk away. So.....I highly recommend this store, and staff ....from the manager Orlando Lima to include all employees because I had interactions with all of them. They are wonderfull. They are courteous, knowledgeable and helpful way beyound what I normally encounter. I will diffinitely make the 2 hour drive for my next major purchase. I also want to add I have been purchasing on line for awhile. There was an incident where some how I messed up and had 2 of the same items ordered. When I realised it I called right away. It was fixed with a smile and in fact they were getting ready to call me. This is one the best companies I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I am not prone giving rebiews but this one time it was truely earned! Thank you.

It was the first time I made a purchase and I was attended by the Manager Orlando Lima, he was very attentive, answered all my questions, it shows that he knows a lot. The store is super tidy and impeccable. I bought a machine and since it was not available at his place, he sent it to my Hotel.
