Im a yacht broker who had a buyer s deposit on hand for a boat listed by Don Jones and he would not answer any of my multiple calls to set up a tour that the buyers wanted to do before placing their offer. For the owner of the Beneteau 411 in Miami, I tried to help a buyer put an offer on your boat, but it looks like I will be helping them put an offer on another Beneteau 411 instead.

I emailed Donald Lord Jones, from the YW add, about a Beneteau 411 currently listed. I asked him if there was a survey available and if he knew any history on the boat. He replied “no survey” and to go read the description on YW.I replied telling him I had read YW but I would have to fly to see the boat and wanted to get all the info possible to determine if it was worth the flight, hotel, ect.I told him we were serious about the boat, but if me asking questions was bothersome to him then we had our answer as far investing the time and effort to see the yacht.No reply.If this is your Beneteau 411 I would strongly consider listing it with another broker. We are serious buyers, plan to buy as soon as we find the right boat and ready to put a deposit down. Unfortunately, I will not be buying from a.broker this unprofessional. Maybe it will list with another broker before we pull the trigger.

With cash in hand and ready to purchase, I found a boat I was interested in online that was listed by Donald Lord Jones. I asked for more pictures and was directed to a different website. The website did not have that particular boat listed. I again emailed Mr. Jones and received an incomprehensible/gibberish email in response. If you have a Tayana 37 listed with this guy, I tried buying it, but apparently he isnt really trying to sell it. If youre thinking about listing a boat Id probably go with someone else. Very frustrating!

Requested deposit prior to discussion offer with seller. Would not contact this broker again. I would say there are other broker with much higher standards
