This guy is a scam artist. In April of 2021, I posted my 2018 Sea Hunt gamefish 25 for sale on Facebook marketplace. This scammer from Costa Del Mar Marine LLC contacted me saying that he represents a wealthy family who is looking to buy a CC boat with low hours and mine was a perfect match. He asked to talk on the phone and we did talk. For 15 min he asked me all the details about my boat then he asked me to take more pics of my boat so he can show it to this supposed wealthy family he is representing. From the getgo I sensed something fishy, but he confirmed my suspension when he asked to represent my boat sale even if he is buyer doesnt go forward with my boat. Days go by and get another text from him asking me for the photos of the boat. Naturally, I ignored him, but he kept on presenting and thats when I told him the boat was sold. Today 08/16/2021, I was browsing FB marketplace and I found a listing of my exact boat with my photos from my original listing. But with the seller info (yes!!you guessed it!) COSTA DEL MAR MARINE LLC. Beware of that scammer, and if you go on FB marketplace and you see 2018 blue Sea Hunt gamefish 25 under that seller, report it as he doesnt have that boat to sell you.

As you have read in previous reviews the guy is a total scammer!!!! It is on public record that he has been charged with a felony and awaiting trial. He stole my $5800 deposit and never showed me a single boat. I can’t believe boat trader allows him to use this site for unsuspecting victims!!! Buyer beware is an understatement! I’ve been waiting two years for restitution. He doesn’t deserve a 1 star rating!!!

This company is a scam, do not do any sort of business with them unless you do not value your time or money. Absolutely astonishing that boat trader continues to allow them to scam people through their platform.

Scammer. takes deposit and will not return. even using lawyer refuses to return deposit when boat was rejected due to many lies regarding service records and boat condition. the boat broke down on sea trial and Leslie Bentley still refused sale. the business is in his daughters name and he is a known scammer. beware.
