Too much to deserve. Never open in time. Went to this place couple times early in the mornings, always after the open time, y checked on Google the regular work hours and they are never opened at that time. Last time they said they were on Safety meeting and make me wait for an hour and meeting never end. This is not the 1st time this happens. So..dont go to that place... The reviews already talking by themselves.

If zero stars were possible, that is the rating I would give to Home Gas. There are so many companies for propane gas in south Florida, any one of them, like Dolphin Gas, could provide better quality service. Simply put, they do not deliver - in terms of service, billing and quality.Cary Pando and the customer service and delivery team have ruined what was once a reliable gas company.Do yourself a favor, save yourself a headache, and use another company - really ANY other company will do.
Worst customer service ever. I called to ask about prices and process to buy they service and the lady on the phone put me on hold and then hang up on me. Their prices as way higher so of course, we wont contact this company again.
This business provided honest and excellent service to its customers during hurricane Dorian. Prices were fair and staff was courteous and efficient. Based on this experience and past experiences, I recommend this business to others. Thanks Home Gas for the service you provide to our community.
I havent had any real problems with home gas. I am very much pleased. The only thing that I have a problem with it is I can only call to make a payment and I lose $4 every month extra. I have been with home gas for more than about three years now, and Im pretty sure theyre $4 adds up really quick.
Reply to Owner: your employees are very unprofessional, make the customer feel like they’re constantly wrong, and present with such awful attitude that makes calling for a simple thing such an awful experience. Getting my gas refilled is a disaster. I have a refill date set up and when I call to find out what time they will be arriving, I am told it was set up for a completely different date than the one I had told them I’ll be home for. My refill dates have been switched on me constantly and then I’m blamed for the confusion. And of course, there’s no record of my calling and setting up dates and nothing is ever explained to us. It makes us feel personally targeted and messed with. It honestly makes me want to cancel all services with your company. It also feels like they tell us anything to just be able to hang up the phone without actually caring about what the customers experience with your company. Customer service and proper telephone etiquette are the cornerstone of running a successful company. After being a “successful” company for such a long time, you would think that portion would’ve been down pact. It’s sad to see that it’s not. I’d love to see that turned around in the future to help make my experience a more pleasant one. If this continues to happen with your company I’ll most definitely be canceling all services. Ive been using Home Gas for about 4 years now and have never had a problem. I call them and they tell me when they will come by. They show up when they say they will and fill up my tanks. I then give them their money. Easy!I expect to deal with them during business hours (not after) and I keep my equipment up to code (not rigged up by my cousins friends mothers brother).
Orlando at the help desk was friendly and very knowledgeable and gave us great tips going above and beyond on how to install a new gas stove we bought at another store (home depot recommended us this place for tubing they didnt carry). I found hardware prices extremely acceptable. Interesting selection of small and big grills, bbq tools and gas tanks.
Quality and service for propane and equipment. Jimmy the service mgr was helpful along with Howard in resolving my motor home tank saftey, repair and fill. If I needed home service Id be using Home Gas. If you have an RV this IS the place to get service and GREAT prices on propane. Thanks for wonderful service.
Rude customer service Reps. Barley understand and speak english. Very high rates that i am paying compared to what my neighbors with different company pay, Im always working and rarely home and every month Im paying 200 for hot water...called to have reps break down pricing and no one can ever do it. My account is placed on a 30 day refill but I always have to call in to home gas once I realize I ran out.. I will not recommend this company to no one!! I hear SUBURBAN PROPANE is very good and has reasonable prices and great customer service!!
HORRIBLE !!!!... They will RIP YOU OFF!!!!!...DO NOT USE THEM!!!... When I started with them they ask me a $50 dollar deposit (refundable) and a $55 dollar to open the account (none refundable). After I moved out of my apt I ask for my deposit back and they said that they didnt have that in the system. I send them; by email, a picture of the invoice and I am STILL waiting for them to send me back my deposit!!!!!... In ADDITION to the fact that they are charging me a $70 dollar for a tank that I NEVER requested as I am a single mom with and I live by myself. JUST HORRIBLE!!!!...DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!.....DO NOT USE THEM!!!!IF I can give them 0 stars I would but unfortunately the lowest is 1 stars.
Compliments to owner and staff at Home Gas.I have been the recipient of advice and quality products from Home Gas for almost as long as Miami itself!!All my homes in Miami have been serviced expertly by this company and I highly recommend using their service.
I have been coming back to this place since 1997, it is hard to find personalized service these days, recently I came in with a part that was not working properly, thinking to my self Ill have to replace it, asked Orlando if that part could be fix and he said, let me call Howard. I waited for about 5 minutes and then Howard came out of his office. Howard is the second generation owner, his Father found the company in the 40s if memory suits me well, anyways, he got the part, hooked it up to a gas tank, tweak a few things and say here you go Rey, then it came to mind, you dont get service like that from any Big Corporate Companies.Thank you Howard.
After Irma I have been trying to get in touch with Home Gas non-stop. It has been a week since the hurricane Irma has been over. All businesses are responding or proactively checking with us if we need help, meanwhile my calls to Home Gas go directly to voice mail and their voice mail is full. No way to reach somebody or get information. When I need their service the most they have disappeared and they are not available. In the minimum, they could have updated their voice mail message to inform their customers what they are doing to get back to normal operations. Very disappointing. Time to find a company with better service.
Very nice and helpful. I spent $30.00 total two 10lb propane tank fills and a new hose which they had in stock. I have spent hundreds if not thousands in other places with much less service. I highly recommend them..

I bought a USD1200 barbecue from these people. It arrived 1 week late. The shelves on the sides were damaged as a result of being used to lift barbecue. The hose was too short and new one was promised but never came. We had to call to remind them. The owner came to install it himself which was nice. Finally they charged me USD40 for the longer hose which is fine but this was followed by red notice invoices less than 2 weeks later in quick succession stating that they would charge me interest - two invoices arrived on the same day. UPDATE...I paid the invoice and today I received yet another invoice
By far THE WORST COMPANY Ive ever dealt with. My gas ran out exactly one month to the day I started the account which was another horrible experience. They are scheduled to refill me once a month so I dont think I should have had to call in. I called to get the refill early morning only to have to wait until almost 5p for someone to show up. I was not home at the time which i explained to the representative prior but my neighbor could have easily come to the house. She said that was fine and that they only needed access to my tank outside. Well I co-parent so i was on my way to get my daughter and had left my other kids home the oldest being 12yo. My kids called right before 5p and said the gas man said he couldnt do it bc minors were there. I called after hours customer service and explained my previous convo. The first lady had a decent attitude. She took down my info and said someone would call me. Almost 2hrs later, no call. I had to call back and got a man and explained my ordeal. He was not empathetic to the fact that I was not going to be able to cook for my children for the whole weekend and that we would have to take cold showers and baths. No heat either and i have a 10mon old baby. He told me to call back Monday. I told him the company left a sour taste in my mouth since i opened the account and he told me to have a good weekend as if he was mocking me. Needless to say I will soon be going to another company. I dont have time to wait in my house all day just to not get the job done. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I would put ZERO Stars if there was an option....The owner is rude and unprofessional. They are known to steal your gas tanks even the ones that you own. STAY AWAY from this company. I beg you to stay away, dont make the same mistake..TRUST ME STAY AWAY!!!
EXCELLENT COSTUMER SERVICE! TODAY I WAS THERE WITH MY DAD BECAUSE ONE PIECE FIX NEEDED AND EVEN THEY DONT DO THAT SERVICE, THE PERSON WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND FIX IT FOR US, FREE OF CHARGE. WE ARE VERY THANKS FULL FOR THE HELP.
Called multiple times for an estimate with no returned calls. When appointment was set, no one showed up or called. Trying to reset appointment was such a mission I decided to go elsewhere. This experience was enough to tell me I did not want to do business with them.
This is to the owner of HOME GAS! Your staff is the most unprofessional group of people I have come across in a very long time. Obviously because you are not there often they feel can do and say what ever they please. I have asked to have you call me twice in past 2 weeks. Have asked to speak to a supervisor but she was on vacation. Never heard from you and even when I called on Monday for the 3rd time the supervisor would not get on the phone because she had just returned from vacation. When I insisted she still refused. What kind of business are you running with all your staff not doing their jobs!!! My problem initially was I called weeks ago to pay my bill using a credit card and then received another bill from you indicating they never took care of it. What else is new, they are incompetent this happens every time. Our time is valuable and it should not take multiple times for your staff to do something. When I was irritated and told them why do I have to always do this. They were rude and I mean rude. I am looking into changing companies, need to do my research. It is Thursday and still your incompetent supervisor still has not called me back. You will not get paid unless they do. Worst company that I have to deal with They goTo my place every month to fill up the tank which I know is not true they dont show up sometimes or they just go and take a look at it without doing anything . Wish I could give zero stars. This company serviced my apartment for natural gas and this is about the most incompetent and poorly run business Ive come across.Customer service is TERRIBLE. Worth repeating - customer service is horrid. They do not offer any online service so every monthly bill must be sent by paper check in mail. My bill was incorrect 4 months my first year. Calling is pointless because you get no where with customer service reps.The greatest part of moving was not having to deal with this company ever again.
Home Gas is a truly awful company. They are very unprofessional, never answer the phone (they open at 8am, but I called till about 9:30am until I got someone on the line), and are uncooperative.We recently purchased a multi-family apartment building which uses propane to heat the water heater. Home Gas had been servicing the previous owners account for a number of years. Suddenly, when I tried to use Home Gas they refused to fill the tank. They claimed the water heater it heats isnt installed properly even though it passed various home inspections. Moreover, they had been servicing the account as I mentioned, and somehow never noticed this issue?They cant keep their stories straight. And they wanted me to spend a lot of money to switch to a tankless water heater. They called me (the previous owner went to their store to discuss this situation), and when I informed them that we found a new company, they threatened to report them to the State! Very nice, Home Gas! They said Im using their tank, even though their tech said it was from another company!DONT USE HOME GAS!! They are the worst!
Im aware they close at 5pm. I called at 4:50pm to see if they were still open. A female by the name of Liset said yes. I told her I was 17 blocks away and if she could wait for me since I needed to fill a small propane tank and she said ok, but only until 5pm could she wait. I arrived at 4:58pm and their doors were closed with chains. I understand I should have gotten there earlier, but personal matters took up my time. I understand it was a Friday and people have families and social lives, but if I get there 2 minutes prior to closing then dont lock your doors. My time is based upon the global clock on my iPhone 6S Plus. Oh well, another day Ill get there sooner. Thanks.
I was actually going to use them for my home but the staff was so unfriendly, I didn’t even bother and hung up on her. Should have read the reviews in the first place but the previous owner had their tank on my property so I thought I’d give it a shot.
Save your money and go to a company that will not rip you off. The worst customer service I have ever received. They will not take responsibility, insult their customers, are dismissiv and quickly blame other employees of their company for their inability to meet their scheduled appointments. I cant believe that a company will hire such poor customer service, it really is sad to see a stablishmnet that has been around for 70 years being managed so poorly. I guess they dont need us customers.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS!I moved into a property that was previously serviced by Home Gas. The previous occupant of the property cancelled the service before we moved in and specifically told us to not use them due to bad experience. So we signed up with another company.A year and a half after living at the place and receiving our gas from another company, a Home Gas truck shows up unannounced and uninvited and starts filling my tanks which have stickers on them indicating that we are getting serviced by the other company. We person filling the tanks did not speak English and it was hard to convey that he should not be here filling our tanks.I called to insist that they do not ever come by again and the lady on the phone was extremely rude.I do not recommend using them.
The folks at Homegas helped us alot finding a burner replacement for a moddl we werent sure about. Definitely would recommend if youre looking for specialty equipment and knowledgeable reps
This is the absolute worst, most unprofessional and incompetent company Ive ever seen. They have no compassion or respect for their customers. Before hurricane Irma, they promised me delivery of my gas on four consecutive days. They never showed or called to explain. Had they simply told me they would be unable to provide my gas, my 80+-year-old parents wouldnt be suffering in the heat for over a week as I would have made alternative arrangements to refill my tank somewhere else. Its a shame you cant give negative stars on this review because they certainly dont deserve even one. I strongly suggest you deal with any other gas company instead of these clowns. Its now 5 days after the hurricane and they wont even answer their phones.
Terrible Customer service and bill management would not recommend to anyone. Staff is not helpful and honestly they dont care they must have a 2 year old in charge of billing. What a joke!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! Do not use this company if at all possible. They are completely unreliable and unprofessional! After a year of service we have been left with no gas 4 times, even though we are on a monthly schedule to have our tank filled. This is more than an inconvenience; not only is our range gas, but also our hot water heater and our dryer. In a household with two children this is unacceptable. Customer service is uncooperative and rude; management also rude and incompetent to say the least. Range of time we have been without gas has been from 24 hours to 3 days!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR GAS SERVICE.UPDATE******Had to share this: We cancelled our service with them when I left this review; they just showed up to fill our gas tank!!!! Their billing system is from the previous century, and the rude office staff acts like that is your problem.They forgot to fill the tank last month, and we ran out of gas while cooking dinner. When I called to get gas they told me it would be TWO days from now. Thank God we have a microwave, but the cold showers are making me cranky. Changing to another company today.

THEN WHAT THE HELL WAS ALL THAT EQUIPMENT IN HIS SERVICE VEHICLE?!?
BEYOND TERRIBLE!!!!HOME GAS CORP. AND MR. HOWARD GOUZ are the worse business and human being as far as I know.My family (that includes three small children age, 5 yrs., 2yrs and a newborn) was left without gas for two weeks, including Thanksgiving. Home Gas was charging me over $400.00 for annual gas tank rental of a gas tank that DID NOT BELONG TO THEM.For three days before Thanksgiving a called visited their office and Mr. Gouz never had the decency to speak to me. Home Gas would not release me to have another gas company do the service. Mr. Howard Gouz through Ms. Melody said that either I paid the $445.00 plus for the annual rental of the tank or buy it for $250.00, that he or his staff had time to check their records.Not until I had Miami Dade Consumer Service involved and came with Home Gas Corp., to verified serial number of the gas tank, it was when they finally realized they made a mistake............nevertheless my family never had a Thanksgiving dinner thanks to HOME GAS CORP. AND MR. HOWARD GOUZ.Happy to say to Im shopping for prices and services from other local gas company and both my daughters are waiting for their gas tank to be empty to cancel service with HOME GAS.....WE DONT BAD CALMA!ALINA SALUM
THIEF TERRIBLE AND HAVE NO CONSIDERATION with families, At the beginning of my service they were charging me for the previous tenants bill that didnt belong to me and a connection fee of $55 that was never done because the service was connected when i moved in, then i had schedule my gas to be fill every 60 days which they fill about 30 days before and got charge about $119.00 for 4.7 gallons as the had fill up the whole tank because they charge the same no matter how much gas they put in your tank I called as i was new customer and guess what they were charging about $2.00 dollar per gallon so basically my bill was suppose to be about $11.00 dollar but instead the were charging $ 119.00 of coarse they were robing me, The lady who handle the phone call started arguing with me because i told her that i was a new customer and i was telling he a lie . Took me about 2 month to solve my problem.Now i received a bill for $43 for renting the equipment from them which i havent send the payment because i was not aware that they were going to disconnect my service with out a prior notice.So I woke up this morning without a gas just because i havent send the payment of $43 not to mention that there was no past due date in my invoice and on top of it no one had the courtesy to knock on my door let me know that they were disconnecting the service to see if i wanted to pay the $43 .
Absolutely the worse customer service ever. Do not use this company. Billing is ancient, they ladies in the office are rude unprofessional and always argue.

I personally had a very bad experience in September I hired their services was the only company I could hire where I live, they left the flame of the kitchen on and when I asked them to put it out I was told that I had to pay 200 dollars for that service, I got an invoice of 40 dollars of gas we worked the whole day and I use the kitchen very few times in the week, when I called to find out if there was any problem the people at the reception treated us very badly and they were very rude until they hung up the phone, they do not know how to deal with the complaints of a client, I closed the service automatically and they never returned the deposit of 50 dollars I paid at the beginning and I was told that it would be returned when closing the account, personally I never contract their service people who answer the phone never put you a manager or a manager over them

The worst company that could exist I had a gas leak problem and they came to my house after 3 hours calling Mr. Tony arrived on Saturday with a bad attitude, he took the gas cylinder and in three days they bring me a new one.
