The studio should be called dance moms instead of Miami dancity because #1 a few chosen run the studio who gets solos who gets and goes where! Some by buying the teachers expensive gifts others because they are friends the bullying also rolls to the girls what they see is what they do! This is not an inclusive dance studio at all. That’s why we left they also have the same choreography over and overYou can tell when we compete against other studios. Also the office staff is so rude
So i was really excited to put my daughter in dance for the first time, and i heard that Miami Dancity was amazing so I said awesome Ill give them a try. Well let me tell you how much I regretted this decision. I paid for the month of April, received an email with receipt but no day on when to bring my daughter to class. Didnt hear from them after paying so I decided to call them to find out when her first class was, well it turns out her first class would have been on that same week that I paid but no one in the studio called me to let me know. The receptionist I spoke to said someone name Ms.Kenia will call me to transfer my balance from April to May since my daughter didnt attend any classes in April. Well here we are May 1st and they went ahead and charged my credit card again without me hearing from Ms.Kenia. I wrote emails and still havent heard anything. This is very unprofessional and honestly makes them look like thieves, we work very hard for our money to have Dancity just take it like that. Ive had such a horrible experience with you guys I dont want any part of this studio ever. If you are considering putting your little ones in any sort of dance I dont recommend this studio to anyone.
Our home away from home. No other place we’d rather be.
So much bullying, do not bring your child here. They only care about the kids who are already advanced. They don’t give any other dancers the time of day. All they care about is the win nothing else no making friends for life here. Just bullies
Good dance but ..... Youre NOT a good coach when you play favorites. Good coaches treat their athletes fairly. They dont operate with two different sets of rules, i.e. one for the chosen few and one for the rest of the team. Even the pictures always same girls they don’t invest in the rest this really brings girl and team moral down especially when the 2-3 they feature are bully’s to other girls!!
Miami danctity studios is a WONDERFUL place! My kids are very happy and we love it. Nice, hardworking teachers and peers. 100% recommend.
DOnt do it!!! This place will tear your child apart. They do not focus on making your children better they only focus on the ones that are already great. No balance and the worst thing is that they are so obious that the kids notice the neglect. being a good dance company is really getting all your dancers to another level guided by the teachers.
Not impressed new in this studio expected moreOther studio we were in treated all girls the same because this builds their self ex’s teen just look at their Instagram and you can see that isn’t the case! Teachers of course need to focus on their stars but a true teacher gets the struggling dancer to the next level that the true teaching and determination sad for the girls/ also communication could be better.
I love to dance but this place made me want to cry. I felt very out of place not only because of staff but also the other dancers werent kind and welcoming. if your shy or not a very social person i dont recommend brining your child here, its a very toxic environment that I feel took the love of dancing away from me and turned it into something stressing. Fix yourself.
I have been with Miami Dancity since it first opened its doors. From the moment my mom registered me for classes I knew this was the studio for me. The staff immediately grasped my love for dance and helped nurture that passion but made sure that I remember to laugh often and make incredible memories along the way. I took both recreational and competitive classes during my time there, and every single faculty member has become a special part of my life. With the training I received there I was accepted into some of the most prestigious dance colleges/conservatories from around the country. And throughout my 4 years at a conservatory college and now as a professional dancer living in NYC, my Dancity family has supported me through it all!
Dancity has brought me the greatest and hardest lessons inside and outside of the dance world. The love, drive, honesty, and loyalty the teachers have for their students and parents is like no other. Dancity is more than just a studio, it creates bonds and lessons that last a life time. With the training I received here I was accepted onto an Adult Hip-Hop team that placed 3rd at the Dance Worlds Competition and entered the professional dance world as Captain of the Miami Marlins Mermaids Dance Team.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Miami Dancity Studios. From the beginning they have been a great studio both for dance and creating a family environment. My daughter has not been a dancer there long, but I have been around since they opened the doors over 10 years ago and have seen young dancers blossom into excellent dancers surrounded by good values and kind teachers.
Miami Dancity has been our home away from home for the past 4 years, since my daughter was three years old. After having a not so pleasant experience at another studio, coming into such a welcoming, family oriented studio put my daughter at ease and she immediately settled in. Fast forward to now, not only has she grown immensely as a dancer, she has also built friendship bonds that will last a lifetime. I could not ask for a better environment for my daughter to grow in and associate herself with. I look forward to many more years with our studio family as my daughter continues her journey in dancing with her favorite people.
Miami Dancity is more than a dance studio....it has been a family for my girls for the past 3 years. As we enter our 4th year, we feel blessed to be in this safe loving environment where the staff is treats the kids like their own. The studio does a great job to make all the girls feel special while they are there and to push them to the next level. I could not think of a better place for my girls to go each day! If you are considering dance for your child, visit the studio and take a look for yourself and make your own determination.
As an educator, is it wonderful to see others in the community putting an effort to build childrens self esteem and relationships. This studio not only focuses on the dance aspect but the child as a whole. Wonderful staff, environment, and location.
My daughter has been a student at Miami Dancity for a few years now and I am happy to say that I dont regret that move at all. She has matured as a dancer and is more well rounded. I believe this has a lot to do with the variety of classes that she has taken at the studio. The staff and students have all been loving and caring with my daughter and for that alone I am happy to say that MDS is not just a place to go to a few times a week but rather a place with an enjoyable family environment.
My daughter has been dancing at Miami Dancity since she was two years old. The studio staff is very welcoming and goes out of their way to build a strong sense of community among its dancers and their families. There are numerous classes to appeal to all dancers. We feel fortunate to have found a studio that our daughter can grow in her love for dance while surrounded by a loving and encouraging environment.
I was a competition student with MDS for 3 years and I absolutely loved it!! I loved the strong bonds I formed with my teachers and fellow dancers. We truly are a family :)
Ive been lucky enough to be a part of the MDS Family since it first opened in 2008. The loving, caring, and nurturing environment always makes it feel like home. All of the teachers and staff are extremely professional and personal with all of the parents and dancers. They push all of their students to reach their maximum potential while still ensuring that they are having fun along the way. MDS is a home away from home for our family and we are very lucky to have this extended family in our lives!
I have been part of the MDS family since I was 2! Dancity is my home away from home where I am cared for & loved everyday! I have been a dancer with Miami Dancity for 10 years now & there is no other place I’d rather be! I have built bonds that will last a lifetime & I love my dance sisters!!💗💙
My oldest daughter had been dancing with Miami dance city for over a year. When I encouraged my younger daughter to try it to see if she would like it . I paid dance city the entire month . She decided it was not for her. When I spoke to the girl in the front I believe her name is Kenya she told me she would not return my money because my daughter watched outside the window and did not go inside the class. That to me is not what dancing is all about . She felt intimidated and did not feel that dancing was for her. She should not have had to go inside the class if she chose Not to in order to return my money for the month those were her words. I was very disappointed in the way this matter was handled.
My 4 daughters are dancing there. We have been part of the MDS family since my 12 y/o daughter was 4 y/o. Ms. Yvonne and Ms. Alina are very professional and go out of their way to ensure fair treatment for all dancers. Also, they always have encouraging words for the girls in their dance studies. Thank you, MDS, for everything you have done for my girls.
Unfortunately the reason kids are bullies is because their parents are that way! These dance moms of team are so annoying and rude talk about everyone else and treat everyone like they own studio! Perfect rendition to obnoxious dance moms
My daughter Breanna joined Dancity 5 yrs ago, unfortunately she passed away while dancing 5yrs ago. My Daughter Gabby also started dancing at the same time, since Breanna passed away Dancity has been a second home to Gabby. There’s no other studio I’d rather be at, Gabby lost her sister but gained 53 more sisters that day. I highly recommend to everyone to bring their daughters to Dancity, they will love it.
The only reason I chose this studio in particular is because it was extremely close to where I live. I tried to like it for that reason but when I first walked in it was a mess I already wanted to leave! I put my daughter in one class and when I came to pick her up she told me she hated it. Kids are bullies and all the teachers only care about the kids in competition that’s it everyone else is a nobody. We will never be coming to this studio ever!
My daughter has danced with her MDS sisters since the age of 5. This is her happy place. MDS is a safe, family oriented dance studio where teachers not only care about the dancers overall dance technique improvement but also they take initiative for all to thrive academically. MDS has a dance supply store, tutoring and a cafeteria on-site...very convenient for the working parent. Administration has an open door policy and are available to discuss any matter at any time. Incredible bond between dancers, loving and dedicated staff...MDS is the place to be.
Weve proudly been a member of the MDS Family for several years now. For us, its so much more than a dance studio. Collectively, my girls have picked up life lessons, including resilience, work ethic, humility, the power and importance of teamwork, and so much more! Amid the craziness theres a bond like no other... I invite you to take a peek & witness 10-12 year olds helping 2-5 year olds, teens encouraging each other, building each other up, 6-9yr olds praising each other for every new trick, or for simply trying, offering that lilbit of confidence their dance sis needs... the Coaches are truly masters of their craft. Oh boy, and the moms... Couldnt have been blessed with a better village!!! They care & protect ALL dancers as their own - SERIOUSLY. While there, be sure to enjoy a cafecito & tostada from Vicky - dabest! Come dance with us & experience it for yourself... the only risk is wanting to stay!
Horrible place. My daughter has been bullied and when I found out I told the manager and she did absolutely nothing!
Unfortunately lots of bullying!!!! Sad they only care about the competition team and not the other paying customers who want their kids to learn
They have a show and the parents can’t even attend because certain people buy 20 tickets per student we pay a lot and then can’t see our kids in the shows very upset many parents are upset
My daughter love it!!
It is the ballet school of my granddaughter Christy, magnificent
