Not knowing anything about bicycles expect that I wanted one, I had the pleasure of Charles helping me. He educated me on what type of bicycle I would need all while being extremely patient, friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a bike I would 100% recommend Miami Beach Bicycle Center and hopefully you will be lucky enough to ride away after Charles helped you.

Making a reservation online was easy. Pickup was easy. I rented an E-bike for the week. The reservation website offers week-long rentals but doesnt clarify if its 5 or 7 days. Its 7 consecutive days. I was given a helmet, lock, charger and bike. No water bottle rack. It was a new bike and performed perfectly. Its heavy and the rider will need good balance. The customer service member who helped me was knowledgeable about the rental prices and amenities. Overall it was a good experience. I would rent from them again. Most places dont rent e-bikes too

Great shop, conveniently located, friendly staff and reasonably priced. They were able to repair my baby and get her back to me in the same day!

Paid for a new tube. Couple of rides later the new tube was flat. When I took a look I realized they put a tube that was too long and just folded it on top of itself setting me up for failure

We rented 2 bikes and rode out to the lighthouse on Key Biscayne and back. Although one of the bikes got a flat tire, they directed us to a bike shop a few blocks away where we were able to get it fixed. Upon return, they reimbursed us for the cost of the flat. Although the bikes need some work, my gears were slipping I would recommend this bike shop for the great customer service we received.

Very knowledgeable staff with helpful advice. They presented me with all the available options and didn’t try to push me to buy the most expensive stuff but rather what I actually needed. I appreciated the honesty because they really wanted me to get the right equipment for the type of bike I had.Store front is really easy to find on Alton road, just drive down interstate 395 from I-95 northbound (if coming from the south). Once you leave I-395, just keep going straight for a few more blocks, it will be on your right side.They also have lots of accessories and clothing options. Clear store front with easy to access displays. I loved all the selections available from helmets to bike bells and mirrors.I ended spending twice on accessories in comparison to my bike. And they also do assembly which is awesome since most places sell them in a box (which I had to assemble myself) or you have to get a bike rack in order to take it home in a regular sedan.There was also some more exotic models for higher price but I am a newbie so I just use a regular basket classic model (real cute retro look). And they also have some unique bikes I have never even seen before; they are quite the store with pretty much everything you can possibly want. They can even special order some models so I don’t have to go crazy online anymore.And even though I had bought an adult tricycle online for my mom (who is scared of falling off bikes), I ended up taking it to these guys for help because the assembly instructions were not thorough and they helped me fixed some things I assembled backwards.So they not only sell bikes but they also service bikes you already own! So I don’t waste time going to a million other places anymore. Ask for Danny, he is my favorite. He seems to know everything!Make sure you ask about their store policies if making huge purchases because i think you only get store credit. They got nice bikes that go into the $1000s in price range as well as the simple models like mine so either do your homework and find out what you really want first or ask Danny for the type of bike based on what you want to do with it.Mine is just for exercise around the park in my neighborhood but my sister actually bought a nicer model because she wanted to do those monthly marathons or group biking events in Miami.My other sister actually got a stand for the bike so she can just ride inside the house for those rainy days (this is Miami after all) but I don’t burn as much calories that way. I prefer biking outside and bringing a waterproof jacket just in case it rains.I wish they sold those cute kid helmets in adult sizes but alas I had to settle for a solid color one. I did however get a classic 70’s style bell (it was so cute) and an air horn (because biking at night is dangerous and Miami cars aren’t used to sharing the roads with bikers) which some say was overkill but it was my first bike in decades so who cares; better safe than sorry... also got me a ton of bike lights that recharge with a USB cord so I save on batteries.I forgot to get pics of the store since I was parked in a tow away zone and didn’t want them to take my car (Miami Beach is really strict on towing). The parking lot next to the store actually belongs to some hotel in the area so don’t park there, ask the store staff if you are not sure. Luckily they saw me park in that lot and warned me so I immediately parked somewhere else.

Came here after a very bad experience at Fritz’s Bike Shop. They provided outstanding customer service and had excellent product knowledge. I highly recommend MB Bicycle Center.

I am new ro Miami and an avid cyclist. I went in just to get some air. I realized I had no water left. I asked for a fountain. The staff said just grab a bottle of water.Today i went back to buy a bike for my gIrlfriend. They knew my budget. Knew I did not need ro buy her a road bike like mine. Did not try and push me into a bike she did not need and the prices were truly fair considering todays demand for bikes.They are also well stocked with gear and accessories for every riding level. To me customer service is everything. The simple gesture of offering me a bottle of water gained my loyalty.

Took my bike there for a tune up and a chain. They put a cheap chain on and did not touch one other thing. No cleaning, adjustments,lube. Not even air in the tires....275.00. Steer clear there are plenty of other bike shops on Miami Beach .....way way way overpriced and under skilled I my opinion. Took it to another shop and they said “let me guess, you took it there and got robbed” I’m not rich but apparently because of there location they think customers are!!!

Last week I bought my first bike in over 20 years! The gentleman I spoke to on the phone, who later helped me choose my bike, was very attentive and professional.He was kind enough to recommend some upgrades, which I chose not to take at the time. I went back today and got my bike a basket, a bell, a new seat and a kickstand!!! Very quickly they installed all of the items on my bike.Awesome service and a great variety of products at just prices... I am happy to share this review and highly recommend this family owned business to anyone interested in getting a bike!Today I met the salespersons father who is also and owner and he was just as gracious and professional.It’s great to see good people run a great local business!PS: I didn’t mention that all of this happened during the pandemic and quarantine... service and demeanor was not affected at all!

Ive known the staff at Miami Beach Bicycle Center for over 30 years. Alex and Danny are very knowledgeable and helpful. I bought 2 bicycles in the past months and I really appreciate the advice that Alex gave me when selecting bikes. The prices are fair, they have great service and an easy location to get to. Highly recommended going there for buying or renting bicycles.

Great service and full repair shop with a large selection of gear and bikes. This friendly shop has been in MB for many years and I had tire repair done very quickly and they have BikCase and other options for smart phone bike attachments so you can ride safe with locals, share tunes and bike friendly. Also they have a pump available for the community and travel pumps with air pressure gauges. Thank you Miami Beach Bike shop.

We rented 2 bikes for a full day here on a Tuesday Morning, the store looked very busy. They took care of us pretty quick, we chose our own bikes and they instructed us how to use the locks with their bracket, etc. Service was profesional, friendly and proactice. The bikes were in great condition, you can tell they take care of them every day, tires are plumped and gears run smooth, they also desinfect them every night. I am looking forward for my next visit and renting from them again.

Ive been a customer for more than 10 years. All interactions with these owners on the premises have exceeded my expectations. The repairs and parts are priced fair. The problem solving to get the bike(s) repaired and back on the road excellent. I recently purchased a bike with 100% satisfaction.

I walked in to this bicycle shop and enjoyed the view of the shop but as I asked for the price on the Cygolite Hotrod 110 Rechargeable which on various sites like Albes bmx, Mountain bike emplorium, Competitive cyclist, Back country bikes, and Senditbikes sells for around $33.00 for 1 light this shop has marked up the prices on the pair of lights $90 +tax I ended up buying a selle royal saddle which was marked up by $5 plus tax but free installation hence The Miami Beach Bicycle Center earning a very low rating of just one star sorry but not sorry for your ridiculous prices.

It is the place to go to for rental bikes. The prices are reasonable. The bikes are in excellent condition and the best rentals I have had anywhere in the US. I received an expert briefing on how to get to and from Key Biscayne. I will definitely be renting from them again!

Best bike shop in South beachWe rented bikes for a day at good price, they fitted tag-along for my 5 year old son to my bike too which was really cool!Bikes were solid and fast, we got to sunny isles in an hour and a quarter on easy pace.Highly recommended shop!

Took a Trek road bike and Trek mountain bike here for tune and clean. The bikes were available for pickup the next day. I had some parts needing to be replaced and they always had a couple of options. Great experience with these guys. Bikes came out riding like new and were thoroughly cleaned. They will for sure be my go to spot for my cycling needs. Highly recommend!

Had a rear flat while riding through Miami Beach today. Stopped here to buy a tube. I kid you not, the guy tells me they can not themselves loosen (nor lend me) a 5mm hex wrench... He says I have to buy the $15 wrench and the tube together (Im not kidding).I said, how much to have you guys do it all for me? He tells me, I would have to leave it over night and come back tomorrow sometime... Why in the world would a real bicyclist support such oppressive outfits?I walked it back across the bridge to downtown Miami and fixed it there... Im gonna get my exercise no matter what!

What a great experience, I brought my 10yr olds bike here for a flat tire it had.They fixed it on time, had great customer service, and were very professional and friendly.

I have been buying all my bike parts/accessories here because I prefer to support local businesses. However after today Ill have to choose a different bike shop because I wont be going back here.I brought in a wheel to have the bearings changed, because I lacked the tool to do it myself. They called the next day saying they had replaced the entire wheel — without letting me know. Also the cost would now be much higher than expected. This is the equivalent of your car mechanic deciding to do a completely different job on your car, for more money, without getting your approval first.I went to pick up the wheel, and asked to see the old one so they could show me why it needed to be replaced. A staff person brought out a wheel and explained it to me. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT IT WAS NOT MY WHEEL.I pointed this out and he went to look for it. He came back empty-handed and explained that no, that one was not my wheel, but unfortunately they had already thrown mine out.Now, if this person had come out from the start and said hey, Im really sorry, we made a big mistake and your wheel was thrown out, but let me show you this other one so you can see what Im talking about — I would have still been disappointed, because its EXTREMELY unprofessional to be throwing out peoples property, but I also can appreciate honesty when mistakes happen.Instead, this person clearly knew that the wheel was not mine, but assumed that I wouldnt even notice and intentionally tried to pass it off.At this point they had 1) done different, more expensive work than we discussed; 2) did not call me before doing it to let me know; 3) thrown out my property; and 4) tried to justify the work using someone elses wheel as an example.They gave me a 23% discount on the wheel replacement, but frankly I can never trust them with my money or bike ever again. Wont be spending another dime here. Unfortunate, since I live close by and am an avid cyclist, and will have plenty of bike needs in the future — but theyve lost my business.

What can I say? I’ve tried the rest and decided to stick with the best. There are a lot of options in the greater Miami and Beach area, but I’ve never been fully satisfied and I actually had issues here and there, prices are different in different places and had been looking for a reliable option, that gave quality and didn’t break the bank. By no mean these guys are supermen, but they try hard. They are courteous and knowledgeable, they take pride in what they do, because it’s been done for generations... and it’s what they do. They do it right. I give my bike serious beatings and they always manage to bring it back to its original splendor. I am grateful!

Best bike shop hands down. Alex is the guy to talk to got me setup with roubaix sport. he is knowledge, I had my mind set on a much more expensive bike, but he recommended the roubaix and I couldnt be happier.

Quick process to rent bikes. The chain of one of our bikes broke pretty far away from the store so they paid for our uber XL and reimbursed the broken bikes rental, so we were pleased with the customer service. Nice guys

A group of us have been coming to Miami for 5 years for the annual Lifetime Triathlon South Beach and rented bikes from Miami Beach Bicycle Center each time. This year, when I walked in, one of the mainstays greeted me by saying, Where is the rest of your group? Brooklyn right? He recognized me among all the people he rents from year after year. Bikes are always ready and in great condition. Highly recommend this family business.

Best bicycle shop in Miami!!!!I looked all around Miami and downtown Miami for a bicycle as I did not want to buy from Walmart or kohl’s to assemble it myself. This place had great bike options and very decent prices compared to all other bike shops around. I got a bike uber $300 which is hybrid and very light. Love my bike !!!!

This place has horrible customer service and not friendly to bikers...went there the other day and had a flat and i as riding and asked for a new tire so I could do it myself and he said to me I have 1000 emergencies, you have to leave your bike I said sir il riding from fortlauderdale and I just need a tire, he slammed the door on Myles and walked away..so borderline racist also..never recommended them and Ive been race riding for 8 yrs...cycling shops should be gracious to thier felloq cyclist..he offerws bo recommendations ...I ended up going to city bikes, and I took an uber to get there in midtown and they helped me out no qualms...smh..

These guys have been open during the quarantine, so big kudos for that! I bought a Brompton folding bike from them. The price for the Brompton I got was $30 over what others charge (maybe that was a mistake on their part? They should really check on that and offer the same price point everyone else has) That said, they did give me a generous discount of $100 off for adding a front bag and that was very nice of them. Due to its location, the shop gets a large number of tourists for bike rentals, but it didn’t feel like a tourist shop if you know what I mean.Im looking forward to see how their repair and maintenance service stacks up to other local and national bike shops that I’ve been to. They’ve been open for many years and they do care about providing good service, so I have a good feeling about their repair work.Ok, I hope to be back when we don’t have to wear masks and stand six feet apart. Miami Beach Bicycle Center on 5 th Street is the “Complete Bicycle Shop” in South Beach, MIami Beach. Jack, his son’s and the staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We have bought several new bikes from Miami Beach Bicycle Center and are very happy with the service and follow up they provide.While they offer a clean modern shop and sell Top of the Line new bikes, they are able to service vintage bikes. Besides, where else could you take a 1969 Schwinn Orange Krate and have the owner know every detail of the bike and repair it to perfect working condition !!!

I have to say this is the only place on south beach that they know what they doing! They have best selection of bikes! I love the small business/family vibe! They are fair and not overpriced like other bike shops on south beach! Recommended 5 stars!!!!!

This is my favorite bike store! Everyone inside is really nice and helpful, and there is a big selection. I bought a Brompton there, which is pretty neat because very few stores in the US have those bikes!

After shopping around for several weeks, I purchased my Specialized bike from MBBC. The store is very well stocked with bikes and accessories and staff was very knowledgeable about the different mountain bikes I was looking at. Highly recommend.

Used car salesman tactics (theyll sell you a $30 disc brake alignment instead of telling 64 just loosen, 2 bolts and squeeze 5 caliper), and mediocre tune ups (unaligned handle bars, etc). Seems like these guys are so used to feeding on tourists they forgot how to build an honest long term relationship with local cyclists.

I have been a very satisfied customer of Jack Ruiz and sons Alex and Danny for 20 years. I have purchased multiple bikes from the shop and always enjoyed the experience. The fitting service is worth the time and money if you are buying your first or 50th bike. MBBC is the best shop in Miami Beach.

These guys are the best. My daughter and I came in and rented two bikes for 24 hours, figured we’d ride around for a while. Well, we weren’t prepared for the heat and ended up only riding for an hour drenched in sweat lol. We came back and he undid the 24 hour charge and only charged us for an hour. Not too many shops in Miami beach area, and this was the only one which had bmx complete bikes in stock, cant comment on their rentals, they also seemed to have a good stock of road bikes and casual push bikes, parts also seemed plentiful, sadly though I can only leave a 3 star rating because the member of staff that served me was quite rude, wasnt really interested in selling me a bike and was almost looking down on me because I was a young middle age man inquiring about buying a bmx, sadly I had no other options as I wanted a bike to ride at the beach while I was on holiday from the uk otherwise I would have taken my money else where, and even though I purchased the most expensive bmx in stock the salesman still didnt really care, once I purchased thebikei had to go back as the rear wheel was not set up correctly, to which they struggled to adjust (not sure why its a bmx back wheel???) and I still left with hardly any tension on my chain. Next year I am revisiting and will be buying a high end road bike, but not from here, I will pre order else where and spend my money in a friendlier shop.👎

We just try to do right by peopleThats what he told me when I came to pick up my bicycle after I had just brought it back with an apparent busted tube that they had repaired for me recently. Unexpectedly he told me it was on the house. No matter how simple of a fix it was thats the kind of service that will bring me back for as long as I live on the beach. The owner of the store is one of the rudest people I’ve met.I came to by bicycle and I was ignored cause another customer was interested in another and more expensive item. The client ended up not buying anything and he came back to try to help me. I was completely ignored the whole time only cause of money. It seems like it’s all about the money and no one wants to be treated this way.Worst customer service I’ve dealt with.Never again to this store.

I rented a Cannondale carbon road bike, which was in great working order, ready for me to pick up.There was even a spare tube and pump just in case.Alexs guidance on where to go was spot on. I road about 90 miles with relatively little traffic and great scenery.It was great experiences, profession, but relaxed and easy going, just like a good shop should be.

When your willing to drive 45 mins for the service and attention given at Miami Beach Bicycle Center you now they are great. They hand down are the best bike shop in town. Pricing and service can not be beat!!!

I only been there ones so I can tell you much but my first visit was good they do have a lot of stuff nice place prices are little high but it was expected is south beach everything there is pricey

They work hard to please; my equipment was up to snuff and they were helpful getting me out fast and when I returned the equipment got my deposit back just as fast. Good experience. Professional.

Ive been going to MBBC since I started riding and Ive never had a bad experience there. The staff is very friendly, informative, and always willing to help you out. Most recently, I went in to get fit on my road bike. First, I filled out my information and answered a few questions about my riding habits. The technician made sure to understand the type of rider I was before jumping right in to making adjustments. Then, I got on my bike (while on a trainer) and began pedaling. From there, all of these measurements were taken and the technician carefully made a bunch of adjustments (both minor and major). By the end, he made sure I was comfortable on the adjusted bike before I left. When I took the bike out for a ride the next morning, I felt like I was riding a brand new bike. Everything, from the seat height to the angle between the handlebars and brake handles, was perfect and comfortable.The entire process took about an hour, and most of that time was spent informing me about the changes they were making because I had never had a bike fitting before.I would highly recommend MBBC for anything bike-related: whether it be a fitting, bike/clothing purchase, or even a city bike rental.

Jack was extremely helpful. Needed to box and ship a bike abroad. $75 disassembled and wrapped and boxed. Thanks Guys!!! Will come again!!!

The owner Jack and his sons are the right people if you’re looking for good rental bicycle around Miami. They have a lot of brands and different kind of bikes and they are friendly to clients.

Rented a road bike for 24hrs (trek madone 2.3). Service was good and reasonable rates. Gave me a helmet and put my pedals on. They don’t do half day or hourly rentals on road bikes so plan your 24 hours accordingly.

Best bike shop in Miami Beach. The Miami Beach Bicycle Center has been around for over 30 plus years and still in business. They know what they do better than anybody else and have the best bikes and service.
