As far as visits to UPS stores go, this is as good as it gets. Aladdin in the highlight; even when hes busy, he always engages in friendly conversation, making a banal transaction enjoyable. The service is great and moves fast, and he makes it as easy as possible, even when I forget to do my part, like tape up a package. Happy to have him at our location.

Love this location! The staff is extremely friendly when I always make quick visits to drop off my Amazon returns. They are so quick and efficient. This is probably the best experience I’ve ever had at a UPS store.

Doing my returns is super easy with this UPS store and on top of that the owner is constantly engaging with his customers, there’s no way you won’t walk out of there with a smile. (Unless you’re just naturally a cranky person then there’s nothing anyone can do about that🤷🏽‍♀️)

I was at the store today for Amazon shipment and my CC didn’t work, I informed him I can call the CC customer service to fix the issue. He took care of the charge and offered to ship it free as I was there with 2 young kids and it was so hot for them to be there. He quickly took care of my transaction and let me go.Thank you so much will there again soon.

Been going to this UPS for years, but with the recent new owner their level of service is quite above and beyond. He made every effort to make sure I saved as much money as possible when bulk shipping packages recently and is just overall a great guy. Will no doubt be returning for any of my shipping, notary or private mailbox needs.

The UPS store in Metuchen is amazing. I go there once a day and there is never a line. The staff there now are friendly and efficient. Great manager works there now completely changed the store for the better

Great place for best rates!!! And yes this is where price matches with online labeling. New manager since April 2021 changed everything. Allaeddin is the guy who would help you ship your stuffs without having thinking about prices.I went to this location after Piscataway UPS wanted to charge DOUBLE when I asked for their lowest possible price. I needed to ship lots of big boxes and decided to check online price first to know what to expect when getting there. I was so shocked that they asked for double price for every box.At Metuchen UPS, they provided me with what I expected from the online price. I guess I’ll just need to drive some extra miles next time to get the best prices. Highly vouch for Metuchen UPS!!

I came to this location for notary services. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to and work with, especially Allaeddin and another gentleman working alongside him (apologizes, I didn’t grab his name). They were quick, efficient and professional. It was the end of the day and there was a lot going on and a few challenging and demanding customers. Allaeddin multitasked with ease and was extremely patient and resolved/provided a solution that satisfied everyone. It was refreshing to see a well organized and run store. Great experience here, would go out of my way to use this location again.

DO NOT TRUST. This location stole a PlayStation 5 that I was shipping and refused to take any accountability.Their workers cannot be trusted and this location is one to be avoided. This has happened to me on two separate occasions where I have dropped off expensive items to be shipped and they have stolen them and acted as if the package was magically lost.Thankfully corporate granted my claim after 2 long months - but do not trust this location with your items as they WILL steal them if they are valuable.

New owner, no longer an absentee one, is showing that he wants to run the store professionally and customer-centric.

One time I went in there and the young kid wasnt wearing his mask correctly. It wasnt covering his nose.The other day I went in there and mailed an expensive SSD back to Amazon. I had a discussion with the young girl at the counter on the price of the SSD and then it didnt make it to Amazon. I wonder what happened to it? Thankfully, I do have the tracking number and I was able to get my refund, but its awfully funny how that expensive item just disappeared.

The New ownership has definitely made it even more worth it to swing by this store. I can see their smiles through the masks!

The young man at the front desk tonight December 3, 2020 around 6pm is incredibly rude and should not be representing the UPS brand let alone working at a store. I attempted to do a return here tonight and was told he didn’t have a box big enough to do my return and sent me away with a label. But not before saying he could SELL me a box big enough for it. Amazon states they don’t require return packaging. I contacted amazon prior to the return to verify. They confirmed. I contacted Amazon after the encounter and once again they confirmed that any package can be brought to a ups location without packaging and that he should not have tried to sell me packaging material. He was determined to be unhelpful and was rude about it as well. Take your amazon packages (and business) to another location, there are several other reviews regarding his negative attitude as well.

Rushed over here on Saturday. Online says open til 5. Nope... she just ignored me at the door...and as I got in the car another person was walking up as the lady was leaving. He had a huge package and she didnt even have the decency to tell him they were closed. She just walked by and let him walk up to the locked door. How nice.

Go to another store or print all your stuff at home and bring your own tape. Otherwise youll get charged arbitrary amounts of money for what is provided free of charge at other shipping stores.Clerk tried to charge the customer ahead of me $1 for taping his package. He next charged me $2.00 for using the computer to print a return label. (And $0.25 for the actual print-out, which was fine.) Now, there is a sign on the computer that says $2 for 15 minutes of computer use. I used the computer for maybe a minute and thought, surely this guy isnt going to charge me for a minute of use- the charge must be to prevent people from loitering on the computer. Wrong. He argued that THE SIGN IS RIGHT THERE and that 15 minutes of computer use really means ONE TO FIFTEEN MINUTES. Ok.

I’ve used this store several times for Amazon Store returns and my own customer shipping. I’ve never had a problem. A few reviews reference an “older Asian man” but the owner has always been polite and professional. In my experience as a “grown adult” I find If you give respect you usually get respect back.

Reviews are bad and for a reason! Avoid this place at all costs. I shipped a pair of sneakers from this store and the recipient received another worn item!!! The kid at the counter likely changed my item with his worn item. This is a known practice in the sneaker community. Look it up. These guys are complete frauds. I will go directly to UPS to ship instead of going through these crooks.

The young Indian kid works there is horrible. Doesnt want to do anything. And always trying to do less. Been there three times. The young lady working there is nice. Had a great chat. But the Indian kid have to go.. worst service ever.09/2020 I just came to the store again today. Theres another Indian male working there older probably 20-30. I had two packages dropped off in front of him. As he scan both boxes. He told me to move the box to the ground. Both of them after scanning. My reply was, oh ok. Good service. Don’t know why people have made some ethnic racial comments. You can recognize when someone makes such comments are not really reliable. Every time I use the service, I was in & out in 5 minutes. I shipped / returned very small packages to big packages like bed frame. No issues and I didn’t have to explain anything.

I am not sure when the new South Asian owners took over, however, corporate needs to look into this store. The previous Asian owners were a delight.There is no customer service, no sense of time (I, along with four others waited for seven minutes after the scheduled opening time ) and they will cut corners when it comes to packing your package properly.They do not deserve one star, however, since I cannot post without it, I have to give in.

Kushal was very courteous. He greeted me with a big smile the second I walked through the door. I had a mountain bike that I wanted to ship to my niece in Delaware. It was a last minute birthday gift and I had no idea how to package it, let alone get it to her. He helped me identify what my best option was for Next Day Shipping and gave me the best price that he could. He informed me that the store is under new management. The new staff members that I met today were very courteous as well. I am confident that my package will make it there tomorrow.

I am very happy to have a UPS facility right around my door. The people there are very friendly and they would do the best they can within their rules and regulations to accommodate your needs. As a competitive semi-pro triathlete, I have been using UPS to ship my bike to my major races and I will keep on working with them. They went out of their way to help me out.

I usually go to the UPS store in edison on old post rd but I decided to try this one out cause it’s a little closer to me and completely regret it. Terrible customer service. The kid at the desk was very rude and unprofessional.

I had a terrific experience at the Metuchen UPS store. I needed to hurry a package out for overnight shipping — and arrived 20 minutes before the store closed. The gentleman behind the counter helped me protect what I was packing and found a better size box to use to ensure everything got where it needed to go in one piece. He went above and beyond — and I am grateful. Thank you!I understand it is under new ownership — and am confident others will be pleased with the service too.

Very helpful and the best UPS Store in and around Edison / Metuchen area

1/28/20 - I arrived at 6:52pm to drop off some pre labeled packages and the shop was closed. For a local mom and pop, no problem. For a corporation whose business is on time shipments, unacceptable. Store hours both online and on the window confirmed their current hours are until 7pm.

I went at 1:30 to get a paper notarized the sign stated “on lunch be back in 20 mins” I come back at 3:30pm 2 hours later and no one is there! I’m very upset I was not able to do what was needed.

I have shipped dozens of items with prepaid Amazon shipping labels, both with the old owner and the new, and never had any problem. I always insist on a receipt.One reviewer reported that wi-fi does not work inside the store so that they cannot summon up the Japanese barcode (looks like a weird postage stamp) on their smartphones.Before leaving home I always print the Japanese barcode and Scotch tape it to the package, and watch closely as the clerk scans it and applies a label. Would be so very easy to apply the wrong label.

The workers at this store are not properly trained. In the past three months, I have had four problems working with them for printing and shipping.For example, on January 2 I dropped off 5 items to be returned to Amazon, each with their own return bar code from Amazon that they scanned. I received receipts from he store for all of my items. A couple weeks later and 3 of the 5 packages were delivered. I called the store and they were clueless about how to resolve the issue. Checking the status of the 2 missing items on the UPS website showed that 2 of the packages were never shipped. The local store in Metuchen would not take responsibility and asked me to call UPS headquarters. I did that and was referred back to Amazon. What a mess! Neither UPS nor the local Metuchen shop would take responsibility for the missing packages that were left in their care.Another recent issue with the store came about when I tried to use their color printing/copy services. I used UPS’ website to upload documents and selected the Metuchen store for the printouts. When I called the store about getting my color copies they had no idea what I was talking about. The attendant contacted his boss (the owner?) and was still no able to help. They did not know how to access the files and therefore couldn’t print them. I even tried emailing the files directly to the attendant and they still could not complete the job.My advice, avoid this shop and instead do business at the UPS Store on Old Post Road in Edison. They are much more professional. I also have had very good experiences at the FedEx Office store in South Plainfield.

These guys are cheaters. Dont use any service from this store. They charge you double without telling you. Better go another UPS store and avoid this worst store.

I went to the UPS store in Metuchen today and was more than happy with the service I was given. A young woman took care of me, she was very pleasant and helpful. I couldnt have asked for better treatment/service. More businesses should hire people like her.

They are inept in this store. They have no WIFI which makes it virtually impossible to do amazon returns there. Even if you have the return code open on your phone before you go in, it wont display when you go in the store. You are told to go the computer, log into your email and print out the codes which they then try to charge you for. Utterly inept, and beyond slow.

I have gone to this location on several occasions, they either opened later or closed earlier than the posted store hours. Not reliable store hours. Go elsewhere that’s dependable or call before going to this store.

I had a horrible experience at this store. I entered the store 6.45 pm sharp just to drop-off a package. The store hours say 7 pm closing, but the guy sitting at the register (who claims himself as the owner) told me that he can’t accept any more drop-offs as the register is already closed. I asked him then why the store hours say 7 pm? Instead of agreeing that he closed early, the guy had the audacity to question me why I came late and what I was I doing that I can’t come early. People like me who go to NYC every day for work, would like to access stores that stay open after 6pm. The guy was immensely rude and unprofessional. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO CONSIDER OTHER UPS STORES IF AVAILABLE NEARBY!!!!

Horrible customer service. I went in there trying to ship a box. I had to open it after forgetting to put a piece of paper in there. I didnt bring my tape with me to re seal it back up. When I asked the lady at the counter for 12 inches of tape, she said she couldnt do it and asked for me to buy a full ream off the shelf. Ive been to other locations where they were MORE than happy to accommodate me with some tape to reseal my box. I see why this location is rated so low. Do you sell a favor and go elsewhere. I have been there three times on separate occasions during their posted Buisness house but they are not open. Twice around 8:30 am (posted opening time is 8 am) And recently at 9:30 AM the lights were on the cage down around the counter but the door was locked and nobody was inside.I will be going to the store on Old Post Road from now on.Mark P Marcille,Marcille Architecture

Going to this UPS store was a bad experience. I came here because on the UPS store I arrange for my package to be hold. When I arrived there, they could not find my package. It was clearly said in the email that a lady name SHaH received the package. We had to search for it ourselves and after 30 minutes we found it. They did not seem to care much if our package was missing or not.

I just left the store and they are charging $.25 for black and white copies when the Edison and East Brunswick locations are only charging $.10 per page. Unfortunately, I was not made aware of this price increase until after I finish making my copy

In one line - Do Not go to this Store ever.Only go there if you are having a bad day and want to make it worst. They are non-sense people who think they are the king of the world and everyone out there are their slaves, they dont care about stuff. No personal or business ethics. I had multiple encountered like this with them where they lost my packages, Spoke rudely when they should be apologizing.
