I like the store but they didnt have the kind of books I was looking for I was looking for reference books and information books not just literature the lady at the store was very polite and helpful

The shop is small, clean and quaint and filled with wonderful books.However, the books are way overpriced or did not have a price on them.I came with my sister, niece and nephews. My niece asked for a price of a book and the reply was I dont know.The clerk did not seem to know what she was doing and a little overwhelmed.I dont think I will be coming back.

There are a ton of Dean Koontz and Nora Roberts books, Im talking stacks of them (different titles too) throughout the store but put together. Theres other authors as well, but it is worth a look! Most books are not half priced as advertised BUT they are great prices for the books. All paperback, BTW. Her cat and dog are TOOOOOO adorable and so calm as well 💙 9/10!!!! 🤩

Wonderful little store with so many books in excellent condition. Almost every genre is present and the staff was incredibly helpful.

She isnt a nice person at all. I am here from Colorado. Googled myself to the closest book store to me. I ended up at The Book Rack of Metairie. I expected there would be pets in the store. There was a slight stench of a smell. She is prolly used to the smell and cannot smell it. However, she looked at me when I walked in through the door and turned her head away. She never spoke and was on the phone having a few giggles with a friend from what I can gather. There were no other customers in the store. Only myself. It was not an inviting place. Again, she just looked at me, no greeting at all. She knew I was in the store. I walked out and she just looked at me leaving. Its definitely not a place where I would enjoy spending my money. She is the reason why I cannot support mom and pop businesses. I would avoid her place. I ended up googling myself to Barnes and Noble and upon entry there a young man greeted me and was very helpful and directed me to the area where I needed to be for what I was in search for. I hope all the folks in Nola arent as unfriendly as the lady at the The Book Rack of Metairie

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The shop cats are delightful and sweet. I often get caught up and lose track of time in here checking out the new items that have come in between visits. I love being able to trade in old books for fresh reads.

Store congested and hard to move around. Tripped a couple of times. Very little trade-in value for the few books, that were accepted. Wish I could find a nice, neat, friendly, trade-in, used book store.😢😢

More books than you would know what to do with! Well priced used paperbacks and some hard covers. The owner knows exactly what to recommend for a good read.

Most likely the worst bookstore Ive visited with expensive books stacked everywhere. It looks worse than most thrift stores making the staggering prices that much more shocking. If they had $1 book sales or any worthwhile sale, maybe it would be worth navigating the obstacle course of multiple Leaning Towers of Papers everywhere. However the staff was very pleasant, friendly and seemingly enthusiastic giving this place one additional and much needed star.

Great place for books (new and used) at affordable prices. If the book is not there they can order them for you. Ive picked up many books there written by John Sandford, Vince Flynn, C.J. Box, Fredrick Forsythe, etc.. They are always friendly and willing to help you.
