Service was done promptly. They were very friendly and even gave me a discount! Prices are always reasonable.

After the diagnosis, I was told repairs would be $2000. After consulting other mechanics, I was told that is waaaaaaay more than that repair should cost. I organized a tow truck to come pick the vehicle up and take it to another mechanic that offers reasonable, fair pricing. When I called Town East Automotive to pay for the diagnostic fee, I was told it could not be done over the phone. They can do payments via e-mail but he manager has to do it and they were not there. With a tow truck on the way, I was forced to take off of work and drive 45 minutes one way to pay the diagnostic fee. When I arrived, the manager was there and said, “We’ll, if you had waited and called me back I might have been able to do something but you didn’t.” First of all, it was never presented as an option. Kareem, the guy who answered the phone and had me driving all over Dallas, was supposedly née and just helping out, yet had been there long enough to have business cards printed out. Long story short, they over-charge massively for work, and they make things as inconvenient as possible for their customers. Don’t waste your time.

My spouse has been a customer of this shop since we moved to Mesquite, TX. I recently came to the shop for a check engine light issue and they were extremely helpful and professional. The staff are genuine and friendly. We will continue to use them in the future whether its a simple oil change or big repair.

I got my vehicle inspected at Town East Automotive. They performed the inspection and had me back on the road quickly. There was very minimal wait time.

On 6/9/21 my son and I took his truck to Town East Automotive because the power steering was out, and it was overheating. I was informed of what was exactly wrong with the vehicle and was told it would cost a little over 400.00. Then they called back and stated there were other problems and it would cost 973.87 to repair the truck.I trusted that the information they were giving me was accurate, so I authorized the vehicle to be repaired.About 1 week later the power steering started going out again so we returned the vehicle thinking their repair warranty had me covered. (The issue with overheating seemed to be repaired) I spoke with the young woman at the counter who stated they would need to look at the truck. I received a call and was informed that this was another issue with the power steering and the repair cost would be 1,300.00 and as such the warranty would not cover anything.I complained about the issue because the vehicle had just left the repair shop and I was out over 973.87 and now, they were asking for an additional 1,300.00. After my complaint they reduced the charge to 1,000.00 claiming they found a coupon to reduce the cost. This just did not seem right to me, so I elected NOT to have my vehicle repaired by Town East Automotive.A co-worker recommended I take the truck to Dwight & Don Auto Care in Mesquite and have them look at it. I did and the next day received a call that the repair cost would be 90.00, that all the truck/power steering needed was a seal.Now I must ask myself a couple of questions:1. Was this an honest mistake on the part of Town East and conclude that these sorts of things just happen?2. Did they have a new inexperienced / incompetent mechanic working on the truck?3. Was I simple getting fleeced and they were soaking me for all they could because I was so naive about vehicle repairs?I do not know that much about vehicles so I can not honestly answer my own questions. I will let you the reader make your own conclusions.What I do know is this. I took my vehicle to Town East to have it repaired and paid 973.87 on invoice 83227. 1 week later I took it back for the same issue and was told it would cost an additional 1,300.00, I complained, and the cost dropped to 1,000.00. I decided not to have it repaired, took vehicle to another repair shop and they repaired it for 90.00.I can not believe I was about to pay 1,000.00 for a 90.00 repair job.If I assume the 1st repair was accurate and the second was not then I saved 910.00 by taking my vehicle to Dwight & Don’s Auto Care. If the 1st repair was not accurate well, its sad to know I may have thrown away well over 1,000.00 dollars. It’s a shame to, I have 4 older vehicles that always need things done to them from mechanical work like I just described to oil changes and inspections. Town East stood to make a lot more money from me had they kept me as a customer. As it stands, they have lost a customer and Dwight & Don Auto Care just gained an incredibly happy customer with 4 vehicles.I believe Town East Automotive should provide me a refund for failing to repair my vehicle properly in the first place.David B.

The most recent visit was my second visit to this location. I have had an emission test and most recently an oil change, the service was professional and they answers all my questionsand I will be using them going forward.

I try not to leave bad reviews but this was kind of crazy. My mom had to get her car fixed and they told her what was wrong and they would have it fixed by Monday. This went on for several Mondays and it has now been a month. On top of that they keep adding more and more to the bill and my mom can’t do anything about it. If she knew it would take this long and cost this much she would have got a new vehicle. It’s ridiculous, I understand taking time and charging for the job but it shouldn’t be this drawn out and have the cost constantly going up. Not the wrong shop.

Beware of liars, thieves, and scam artists.On 7/7/21, my wife brought the car for a check engine light notification. They convinced her(without my knowledge) that it just needed another oil change....even though the oil was just changed less than a month ago and well under the mileage limit. They even replaced the oil change sticker with their own, so they would have seen that there was no need for another oil change.

This place incredible. Tiffany at the front desk is very organized, and speaks plainly and directly. First, they are incredibly timely. If they say the car will be ready by 6, youre not waiting until 7:15. The location is great as well.

Considering my car broke down the day after I picked up my car, so far I am not impressed with these guys. Ended up having to scrap my car due to damages to the Engine.

This is the best automotive service center I have ever been to. They are honest and so informative as to what is needed and if something can wait they will tell you that. You get the prices up front so there are no surprises at the end of your service. They are quick and thorough and you will never have to worry when you drive off that your vehicle is not safe. If you have any problems after your service just call them and they will do whatever is needed to keep you from being inconvenienced while taking care of your vehicle and you as well.The prices are reasonable, I found them less expensive than Kwik Kar on all of their services and will never go to another service center for anything, including a basic oil change. I had a major issue with my 2008 Dodge Charger that put it out of commission for about 8 months. The dealer refused to help me. But these guys kept my car the entire time, didnt charge storage and communicated with me weekly with updates about getting parts from the manufacturer. I was dreading the cost when I finally got it back but it was less than $1000. That was less than half of what the dealer or any other repair place quoted me. I used these guys for years when I lived in Mesquite. They got me through 3 used cars. They never overcharge and as a single female, thats really important. They are always honest and the service is fast. If I still lived in the area, I would definitely use them. You cannot go wrong with them.

These guys just earned a customer for life and werent able to fix my problem. But due to their honesty when presented with an opportunity to charge me for unnecessary work. Instead told me that what they originally had told me they planned to do that they didnt think it would work after performing a compression test. Saved me $500 less than the cost of agreed work that was going to be done. Really appreciate the thoughtfulness and honesty guys.

There should be pricing options on parts, I feel I was quoted most expensive parts you could find. When Autozone had my valve cover gaskets half the price of what you found. The labor seems to be holding so far, so no issues with the work. Just Expensive

Everywhere tried to go they wanted to charge me over $100 to check engine light. I called here and right away they said theyll check it for me and only charge me what the repair would be. They ended up just cleaning up the part so no charge on that so I ended up getting an oil change. Honest. Clean. Reasonable waiting time. Will definitely be back and recommend!

These guys are the best! Upfront and honest, they called me before doing any repair to make sure i was fully aware, and let me know what the cost would be. I work on my own cars, but dont always have the right device or tools. I trust them completely. Also excellent value! They never tried to talk me into anything, or overcharge me. They actually discounted my total at the end, even though all repairs were done in a day, they are aware going without your vehicle even for a day can be a stressful exp. Staff is very courteous, they listen to your concerns. I thought I needed tires because I had two that kept losing air, instead of charging me for new tires, they found I had a nail in each one and repaired them and sent on my way.

Great service with a friendly atmosphere

Should be a negative 5 but google is too nice. This place broke my 2009 corollas oil filter cap, and insisted i pay for it. They said that the plastic caps are brittle and break over time. I believe if they had used the right equipment this wouldnt be the case. I have always taken my car here in the past and didnt think they were capable of something this low. I encourage you to take those $45 dollars and take it to more professional workers. Who wont take advantage of you or your family assuming you dont know squat about cars.No gasten su tiempo aki rasa. It was very clean and the people were nice, helpful and very courteous. The only problem I had was that while getting my oil change they added a filter with an extra charge without asking if I wanted it. The sign stated that it would be an extra charge but I should have had the option to say yes or no.

They took the time to completely troubleshoot my signal wiring and identified problem AND FIXED IT after I already spent over $800 elsewhere for a pat on the head and a new lightbulb that flamed out before I got home. I want to marry them now.

These guys are the real deal. It’s hard these days to find a mechanic you can trust. But I tried this shop for the first time yesterday afternoon. It was about an hour before closing time, but I was still attended to right away. I was able to get my oil changed and even get my AC checked out. It was blowing out semi cold air but not quite cold enough to beat this Texas summer heat. So they found my Freon was running a bit low. Now, my car’s AC is working perfectly. And I got all this done in less than 40 minutes from walking in the door to checking out. I was especially impressed by the way these guys do business. When I got ready to pay I was actually dreading the long list, that I usually get at other shops, of crucial repairs my vehicle desperately needs. But no, all I got was a reasonably priced bill and that mostly everything under the hood checked out fine, no pressuring me into getting unnecessary wiper blades or repairs. I was very pleased with my visit, and will be using this shop in the future for my automotive needs :)

My father and I send all of our cars to this shop, and as previous reviews suggest, theyre honest, hardworking, and arent out to take advantage of you. I went to a few shops in the area before stumbling across town east automotive to get my Mercedes Benz S63 looked at based on the other estimates I had got from 3 other shops they were 25% cheaper with actual OEM parts. Went in to get my car fixed and they reattached my door panel, and programmed the correct time and date on my dash. The extra work they did was free and I didnt even have to ask. So glad I found this place! So, I am new to TX and I came in to get my car inspected. They were so quick and also answered my 1 million questions concerning how to switch over my title as well as get a licence in TX. None of my questions were car related and they were still very happy to help. I am going back tomorrow to get an oil change and a tune up! I will only be going here for now on! Ive taken my car to get repaired here a couple of times - they do honest work and give you peace of mind considering the amount of scammers that exist in this industry. They maintain a good rating with the BBB. My only complaint is that sometimes they are a little too busy which means you have to be more patient before the work is done.
