Terrible people at the front. Make you feel miserable but when you ask them to give you better experience they tell you that you need to go somewhere else for that
Normally I dont write reviews because they make me seem like a Karen, but today was a really bad experience. Waited 5-8 minutes at the checkout while all the employees hung out at the printing service area. No cashiers in sight. Cashier who was attending a lady when we entered the store was no where to be found. Decided to leave my items and leave the store. Later saw the cashier talking to the employees at the printing area and then stare at us leave throught the window. Plus their AC was either set really high or off because the store was humid and really hot, and when it is 117° outside? Terrible. Upsetting experience.
Very irritated with Office MaxWe were in this store to buy some office furniture. We wasted almost an hour in there. Not to pick out the furniture, but to ensure that the delivery date would be the 16th of August. It took that long for the service rep to set it up on the phone with the delivery service.Low and behold, even after that effort they could not even get such a basic detail right. Today the furniture show up. Missed the 16th only by 5 days, Office Max. (And please, lets not blame this one on the virus too!)Think this was the first and last time I bought anything there.
Tina is AMAZING! Office max in Apache Junction had us come all the way over here but I’m glad they did because Tina went above and beyond for us right before my dads service after he passed. So we were on crunch time! She really helped us out and willingly, unlike the other Office Max! THANK YOU Tina with all my heart for helping me on such a hard time! Clean, convenient and I can send my items to be copied through email and still use the self use machines. Makes it much faster.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff... Phillip (manager) was very helpful providing me with honest suggestions on selecting a chair (which Im quite happy with), and Michael, who assembled my chair was expeditiously quick. Oh, and the ladies that laminated my documents are just as awesome! This store practically serves all my needs for home/office supplies. Thanks!
I went to make2 copies. I wanted to do it myself but printer person directed me to sign in which was stupid. She made 2 copies & charged me double because she helped me&then ignored me helping next customer. Rude!!
I very rarely leave reviews but Aaron the general manager was awesome! He was super friendly and helped me get everything done and even helped cut some of the paper so I wouldn’t have to myself. Great service!
Definitely not a store I would shop with again... they tried to sell me a returned “not in the best of shape” managers words not mine for the same price since I already paid for it.... after calling for a refund the first time he said it would be refunded after 5-7 business days... after those “5-7 business days” I didn’t see a refund so I called back & she said “something in our system messed up, it’ll be refunded in the next 5-7 business days” after those days I CALLED AGAIN!! He said “Um well it doesn’t look like a refund had ever been placed” welp after almost a month I finally got my refund lol
Needed some quick business card for a gig I have and they had them done in about 4 hours even tho I was expecting them the next day and I only paid like 25$ for 250 with color and they had em done quick af literally 4 hours after I placed my order even tho receipt said next day......definitely returning.
Printing on good paper is sometimes tricky. Not this time. Everything was so lovely! Excellent. The colors were vibrant. The turnaround was speedy. I am so happy with my copies. Thank you.
In the last few weeks I have needed more supplies due to the working from home situation. Every time I came to the store the place is very clean, the employees are friendly, and I get to checkout very quickly. My last purchase was online with curbside pick up and that was very fast and smooth too.
Called ahead of coming and was assured they had the product I stock. Got there 15 minutes later and it was not on the shelves Asked one of the staff and told them I had called and was told the product was there. The staff member was inventorying back packs and told me I would need to wait until he was finished. Waited for over 10 minutes and left. Terrible service and since when does checking I merchandise come ahead of taking care of customers. I will never go back there. I will order from Amazon. This kind of business model will soon be extinct. Good riddence!

We called ahead to ask how late printing services were open for a complex job we needed help with. They said 8 pm. We arrived at 7:08 pm and were told only self service was opened past 7 pm. Face palm.If I had known, I would’ve come 9 minutes earlier. No way I could figure out this print and scan job on my own via self service.Next time when I call I will need to be more specific about what kind of services are open and for which hours. Every print and scan store in town loves to push you to self service printing. If I wanted self service printing I would do it from my house. I come to Office Max for the customer service people to help.No such thing as good customer service any more and frankly these stores don’t pay their employees to care so I can’t blame them either.
Well apparently they don’t need our money they’re rude and disrespectful .. The state mandate isn’t even active anymore and then they were giving us a very hard time because they said we weren’t wearing our mask correctly even though we didn’t have to wear it at at all as Americans we should spend our money where it’s appreciated and quit investing in people that don’t like us
Supplies side of the store is great! Great customer service. As a matter of fact that side of the store is willing to come over to the print side and help. Print person named David is so rude in print. He doesn’t say anything to you when you are waiting and when you ask him for help he is always busy doing other things. Even when I’m the only person in line. It’s like this every time he is there. Must not want my service. Getting ready to start a busy and had over 5500 color copies to make. Oh well...I’ll just take my business elsewhere.
I received s credit from the store a while back. I tried to use the credit today and they said the card has no funds. I called their 800 number and they just put my on hold and then hang up. Terrible way to lose money with this company .
Wow I was blown away by the excellent customer service. They carried my new chair to the front door without me asking. They were just passing by and said they would help. Then when I got home and the bag of bolts was missing, the clerk pulled a bag out of an in-store box and gave me the bag so I could get my chair set up that day. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I really feel they went above and beyond regarding the bag of bolts. When they did that, I was sold. I will definitely shop there for my office needs.
The staff was helpful, the directory on the upper walls led me to the general area of the items I wanted. The store seemed clean & organized. The stock of some items seemed low, but considering this is the first part of January, the holidays are probably the reason. The store is very easily accessible from the parking lot.
Order was printed in portrait instead of landscape. The store employee did not care and actually argued with me about a clear cut issue and then hung-up on me.Online chat representative said we will contact in 24hrs.No contact2nd contact said they will escalate issue and contact in 4 hrs.No Contact after 5 hrs.NO ONE CARES about customers.I recommend you use another printer very unprofessional!
Exceptional experience. Looking for office furniture, Jeff made several valuable suggestions I hadnt thought of to improve quality and save money. My cashier Jovana was also very helpful and the entire staff were courteous cheerful and just a pleasure to deal with.

Had a great experience with the staff at OfficeMax, especially the manager Alex. I am not technically savvy and he was so sweet to explain how to use and install the ink for my printer, never ever making me feel foolish. I would absolutely shop here again and will most definitely request Alex to help me! I highly recommend asking for him!
I have to begin by saying that I was extremely satisfied with the customer service that I was given by Sal and David and another young girl. But when a guy came on the shift by the name of Jeff my whole stress level just shot through roof. I didnt like the way he treated me I didnt like the way he spoke to me. I would like a call from the district manager I believe his name is Josh so that I can explain to him what took place and why I did not give a 5 star rating all because of Jeff.
Honestly a great store and great staff. Lots of good products and options to help you meet all your office needs. The rewards are good too, just through everyday purchases I got nearly $20 in points

Print shop employeees need training badly. Requested printing 2x2 cards he said gee Ive never done those, i cant do them, they are too small!!! Golly other office depot locations have printed andcut them for us easily and quickly. Not a great experience.

I was running late to my interview since I spent about 20 minutes in store trying to print my resume, the associate in the printing area didnt even know what was going on, customers must email their documents to the email provided for the location and the guy told 3 of the customers to email it to this location and we were all confused as we have no idea what the email is here and said there were cards there that said it, finally he realizes there is no instructions on how to send an email to print and takes even longer trying to get more cards that instruct you on how to. I send my documents as Im told that they cannot print anything Google or Microsoft related because their servers cant process or open it. What the heck is the point of of offering that service!? What am I able to print then, apparently he said not much. Its sad the staples had to go as they had avaliable computers for customers to access and print. Im pretty sure the employee didnt know exactly what he was doing as Ive done this before at a different location.

Sucks their warranty changed though as I got screwed out of my 3 year warranty with their old company as theyve now changed to insurion from their max assurance or whatever it was before and they gave me the run around for months before I finally gave up and threw away about $1500 in office furniture that they were supposed to replace or send me a gift card for... It was a bad experience all around.

Terrible customer service. The workers are very disorganized and I do not recommend coming here for projects at their printing station. I had them scan 160 pictures for my grandmother and they promised me they would email them the next day. I come in 2 days after because I never got them and they had “lost them”. I have no clue how you lose 160 photos but I was extremely upset and I will never come back.

Their products are good, but their techie service is bad. They had a sign in front advertising a free evaluation on computers, so I went in. I think the techies name was Chris. He hurriedly took some information and said hed get back to right away. Three days later I had to pay him $99.99 cash to get it back because he said he didnt accept credit cards! Whoever heard of that in a place as big and as well known as Office Max. However, it would have cost me more had I gone along with a program he wanted me to purchase that he said would fix my computer. Ha... Ill never trust Office Max again to look or work on my computer again. I called a local technician who came to the house and fixed my computer right away and the price was right. He said that nothing had been done on computer, so agreed that Id been taken advantage of.
THEY DONT HAVE THEIR OWN EMAIL PASSWORD! I went to print out a resume and they had me there almost an hour waiting. After that long I just left because literally no one had their password for their email. NOT EVEN THE DAMN MANAGER. Dude even had people jump in front of me like I wasnt even there.👎👎

Called Office Maxs phone number and they told me I could refill my ink cartridges at their locations. Had to drive all the way to a store to find out they dont, one good thing did occur though with finding out that you can turn in your old cartridges and be discounted with one of their new ones.
Personal service on a list online order was very much appreciated.
Had to run in and make some copies. The staff was helpful and friendly.
An update to my previous poor review (below). The package that I had shipped from this store never arrived at the destination (which is Phoenix). I should’ve known, given their level of incompetence, and gone elsewhere. I will not be back to this store again.Terrible customer service. They are completely disorganized. Say they ship FedEx but after I did my print job, they said they didn’t have envelopes to ship. Person at the print counter seemed absolutely clueless.
I purchase a HP CMY 3 ink cartridge package at this store in January 2014. When I arrived back in Canada in February I found that someone had tampered with the package and replaced the ink cartridges with depleted setup cartridges. I contacted the store and was asked to return the items which I did. OfficeMax not only refunded the $34.56 for the cartridges but an additional $15.00 to cover my additional expenses for shipping, phone calls etc. I cannot say enough about this store and an extra big thank you to Taylor Brinton.
