This location is well stocked with a huge variety of items, from electronics to Barbies to actual books. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I had a good experience selling a manga boxed set. They offered a fair value.

Trade in just about everything you just never really know what theyll buy. However they may not be the best in giving prices. Lots of variety in the store so if you decided to do store credit, you wont be limited to one thing. The credit can also be a cool gift card.

I was truly impressed with the size of the store & selection of wares available here! Prices are extremely reasonable too. I went in looking for 3D movies. After scoping the place out I found the 3D DVDs, nicely organized all together. I was expecting them to be mixed in with the 1000s of other DVDs they have but this place is very well organized. Ill DEFINITELY be going back.

It is big. Condition of books is good to mint condition.Prices are medium. Trade in value is next to nothing. I have seen the same books for years. This is fact. The person pricing the book pencils in their alphabetical letter the month/year priced.A portion are overpriced.They retain most personnel which speaks highly of the location. A competitor buys lower and no one appears to stay. Bookmans also is more diverse in things offered.

Bookmans used to be the best store in the 90s and early 2000s! now there selection is very limited and there staff is now rude and tries to scam people on what they bring in this place used to be fair and some of the employees have been there since back in the day but there no help either these days. better off going to zia records.

This is a great location. Very clean and well organized. Comic and toy section is huge and very well maintained. Great price on almost everything. Comic behind counter are semi well priced. However, they need a little help on understanding grades of their comics. Regardless, they always have new prodcut and ready to help u out in your search.Great parking and they have all covid standards in play. Great place to check out. You will for sure find hidden gems.

Ive been shopping and trading at Bookmans for many years. They give you a generous trade credit, and theyre reasonably priced. Your credit can go a long way (I think at one time I shopped there regularly for two years before I had to finally spend my own money). Check back often, because their inventory is constantly changing! Thats one of the benefits of shopping here compared to a place that only sells new items. Lots of books, lots of vinyl, music equipment, comics, toys, video games, etc. I recommend joining the kids club if you have children. Youll get an extra discount. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Its just a fun place to spend an afternoon. You never know what youll find.

Fun place with lots of books, movies, and games. All items are in good to mint condition. They offer a cool program called Kids Club for your kids that clearances items and for their birthday $5 to spend. My kids love it. They offer a wide variety of products. Employees I have interacted with were knowledgeable, polite, and extremely helpful.

Oh. My Gosh! First off. They have it laid out PERFECTLY. Books are easy to find and they have A LOT! If Zia, Game Stop, The Brass Armadillo and Goodwill had a baby....this would be it! I seriously cant give it enough praise for being so epic.

I used to like this place. But apparently the staff, and way they run the place is different now.I went in on 7/28/2021, and I went to check out their Figures they have in the corner. I spotted a gem, as it was of a character I liked.The price for it: $200.00 - Now Im used to some of my figures costing this much, but I decided to look into it. Turns out I can buy it BRAND NEW for only $123(ish).I asked for a manager, and showed them their price, vs the price it was brand new on my phone, from the very company that produces it. (Note: Their sales tag states As-Is, which means its *likely* missing parts.)Her response was: Well the item has been here for less than a month, so theres nothing I can do.Know what it tells me? I should give my money to the actual company instead of buying from them - AND that if I do EVER decide to patronize their store again, to scrutinize EVERY price tag because this is between a 60%-80% markup on the price of the item if it were BRAND NEW.Bookmans, you are basically a Goodwill. You sell USED goods. You pay for them sure, but you dont pay FULL brand new price, forcing you to mark up your prices that much. Your model is We pay you a little for stuff you dont want, then sell it to make a profitThis, however, is attempting to scalp and scam people, hoping they wont do as I did and look it up. Praying that theyre ignorant of the cost.My suggestion to everyone is avoid this place. But if you absolutely must go here, make sure you scrutinize the price on everything. If you have a phone, look up what it actually costs vs what theyre charging because if theyre willing to toss roughly $80.00 onto an item, that even with international shipping and handling wouldnt cost even CLOSE to this much, theyre likely doing this to most, if not all of their products.And if thats the case, you may as well buy it NEW.

I especially appreciate this spot. I like that they have a large collection of collectibles. Music instruments and records. Always worth the drive. This time I was able to use some trade credit from some records I traded in flagstaff. Mister Munster.

Friendly staff and acceptable prices. The staff if very informative and knowledgeable about the items in their store, and the gems that you can find there are sometimes priceless. That game youve been looking for that you played as a kid, its probably here. Looking for a specific book, they have an amazing selection of paperback and hardcover books varying in ALL subjects you can think of. One thing though. They dont test the games out that they buy off people, so you must be careful making game purchases and test them immediately! You do get a 7 day return though if its doesnt work or your not happy with your purchase.

Movies are hard to sort through, it’s be easier if they were all A-Z but they have them by genre instead. Overall a cool place to peruse.

Ive been going here for years. They have something for everyone. Even my kids love going to the kids section, they have to go through the kids arch way Everytime. Its the type of store you have to hit up at least once a week cause you never know what may have been traded, always something new added to the floor everyday.

Bookmans the best around just about anything you can imagine knives records DJ equipment sports cards like I said just about anything you could imagine that theyll trade you for your stuff if you bring it in or give you cash but you could literally spend all day in there and not see the same thing.

Visited a Mexican city just across the Yuma border. Turns out there is no public library. Now they will have a small one thanks to Bookmans. And yes...the kids books are written in Spanish and English. Dual languages is very important.

If I could do zero stars I would. I dropped a box to sell. Was fast to get that done. I was called back to the counter. I decided not to sell because of the $6 offer to buy a ton of stuff. The lady was RUDE. I have a disability. Prevents movement. She walked off and did not try to assist me anymore. She kept my items on her side of the counter out of my reach. I had to call another lady who pushed them back where I could reach them. This was a huge problem for me.

It was awesome! Anything a reader could dream of was there. Super organized and clean! 5 stars!!

We happened to be in Mesa for a family outing and figured we would check this place out since it had so many great reviews. We had no idea what to expect but man were we pleasantly surprised! No where else compares to bookmans. lets start with that.This is one of my favorite places to go.My parents brought my brother and I here as kids and we stopped going as we grew up. I recently started coming back and its become a weekly trip.I love to shop for old video games and video game books. They also have a decent sized area with action figures and collectables. Im not into it but they have countless DVDs and cds... And as the name implies they have even more books than anything else.Bonus tip: this place is great on lazy rainy days. As we get so few of those in Arizona, I dont recommend that lightly.

If you are a book lover you must stop by! They have an amazing selection this one is a little smaller than the other location, but still had a great selection of books, records, DVDs, comics, puzzels, board games, novelty toys and gifts, and they also have an electronic section! They have modern and retro technology definitely worth checking out. They also have a music section including a variety of instruments, amps and speakers, sheet music, accessories, etc. If you are interested in taking up any new hobbies this is a great place to check out with very affordable prices.

They dont take any items we had over 100 dvds and vhs. They took 3 another man walked out with 4 large boxes of books nothing sold. But theres a man that sells enchiladas in the parking lot and they were fantastic

I’ve been here a few times and had a good experience every time. We try and use items that already exist rather than buying new as much as we can to reduce our consumption and give existing items new life. Bookmans enables us to do just that with books and records. We don’t have an extensive record collection, but we enjoy buying used records occasionally here and there.The last time I went in was with my infant child and we looked for books about diversity and inclusion. I found a few to add to our collection and was very happy we were able to find them secondhand. I will go back again!

Bookmans is always a stop when I head to the East Valley. Something for everybody here. Just browsing around is fun looking through the various items to buy. I never leave empty handed.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this store. I live quite a distance from here and had made an appointment to bring in books to sell. The employee viewing my boxes only briefly looked through one box which contained older books. My friend watched the employee and said he never opened the other 2 boxes which held newer books in excellent condition by very current and popular authors, childrens books and paperback books which I was told is more sought after. I drove 60 miles because this was the nearest store to me and because of a lazy employee I wasted my time I will never go to this place again

I have never gone into bookmans and not found something unique, fun, or amazing. This place is just magic constantly with an amazing and helpful staff.

We absolutely love Bookmans. They have lots more than books there! The staff is very helpful. If youre doing a trade the trade-in value is much higher than the cash value. So as long as you know that before going in youre okay. They also have a kids club where you get 10% off of their (you) purchases. I added a picture of my sons most recent acquisition from Bookmans.

No one offers help but when you do find someone they are friendly and then loyal tp waiting on you. Great selection of new gifts for all walks of life. You cant get bored at Bookmans.

Got $90 for some Gamecube games I brought in. I love Bookmans they have some awesome things. Theyre like a cross between a thrift store and a media exchange store.

Huge selection on a LOT of different items ... books, manga, cds, vinyl, movies, video games, board games, etc. Well stocked, clean store, kind employees. Cash back price on your trade in items is a bit low, but a great price if you take the amount via in store credit.

This place is not the warm welcoming safe to be a nerd zone it used to be. Now they got security confiscating your bags & rude employee enforcing store policies there are limits on EVERYTHING!I bought Jennifers Body at $20!! That movie is old as dirt! I know not to bargain shop HERE...I knew putting that Cafe in would make the place snobby & unwelcoming. I dont go here like I used to.
