Ive lived down the street from this shop my whole life and never gave them a try because I already had a regular reliable mechanic. When he retired I gave this shop a try. I love this place! Ive had my van in multiple times and Ive never been dissatisfied. Rebuilt front end, transmission work, rear end work, breaks, oil changes, AC work....Ive never felt pressured or over charged for anything. As a matter of fact theyve even done some small extra work for free because they noticed issues I hadnt seen while they had it apart. The front end staff is always professional and helpful. They are fast too. Most shops keep your car all week for basic work but Red Mountain is always extremely speedy. I recommend this shop to anyone who needs fast, honest and reliable work.

I was a little skeptical going to an auto shop that Ive never been to, but was blown away with the amazing customer service received & the quality of work done on my vehicle. I did not want to post this. I think too many people post bad reviews and not enough good ones when it is warranted, but this has really bothered me. I have been taking my vehicles here for oil changes, tire rotations, and minor repairs for some time. The people that work here are very personable. They even have given me a ride home. The first incident I had was a vehicle that was sluggish getting going. They did some work on it but when the vehicle was returned, it had the exact same problem. I found it strange that I paid for something that did not resolve the problem nor did I get an explanation but I didnt think too much of it because frankly I liked the staff.What really upset me was when I took my vehicle back in for an oil change and when I got it back it was leaking like a sieve. It literally ran over my entire driveway, no exaggeration. For those that have played cleanup in a situation like this it is not an easy task. They took it back in and stated that I needed a new oil pan. They stated that they tried to fix the problem with helicoil but that the pan was just not accepting the fix. OK. It is a 2008 and has a lot of miles on it. I get it.My problem was not that it needed the repair but it was the way and time that it was presented and the cost. For example, I owned a satellite company. Sometimes my tech would see dry rot on a roof when replacing a satellite and inform the customer beforehand that it needed to be repaired before we did our work.Other times, in the techs haste, he would try to replace the satellite and break the persons rooftop. If the latter happened, as the owner of the company, I would fix the roof regardless of the dry rot no questions asked because no matter the condition prior if it wasnt for my tech this would not have happened and frankly in my opinion it is just good business practice. I realize that in the case of the car it may have been impossible to detect the damage but my point still stands.At the end of the day, I could have lived with everything listed above just like I did when the sluggish car wasnt fixed until I got the quote for the repairs. They listed discount on the quote but the quote was for over $1000! No meeting me halfway, no apology, nothing. I took the car to another mechanic and had the pan replaced along with a couple of other noticeable items for less than half the cost. This was an extremely disappointing experience. I am very loyal to those I give my business to but in this case I am not going to wait for strike three with this company.

Be very careful with this company!! About a month ago, I had taken my car to them because one of my tires had a screw it and I wanted to see if they could repair it, since it was a fairly new tire.After they took all of my info, including my cell phone#, I asked how long it might take. The older gentleman said it would be about an hour or so, so I went across the street for breakfast. I didnt get any phone calls, but when I went back, they said that because of where the screw was, they couldnt repair it and that Id have to get a new tire.I was going to accept that, but they said that they didnt have have the tire and said they could order it and it would be in, in about 3 days. I said that I couldnt be without my car, so I said that Ill just go somewhere else. While the screw was in the tire, I could still drive on it but they had already taken it out and the tire was already flat. I had to have them fill it up again, but I barely made it to Discount Tire before it was completely flat again!Make sure you get all the details and make sure that they call you, update what theyre doing or about to do, before you leave. Seems like theyll do something like this, so that youll have to leave your car with them!!I would definitely not recommend them, even in an emergency!

When I moved here January, 2019, I started bringing my car in to do routine check ups, oil changes, tire alignments and tire pressure stuff. It’s August 17th, 2020 and I’m still an avid Red Mountain Tire and Auto fan. It’s family run, small business, great prices, solid service and wonderful employees. Got an oil change & tires rotated this time. I was very worried that Id need extra services because my car has 255K miles on it & was making very concerning noises, but they found nothing else wrong! I dont feel worried that Ill be taken advantage of. After 15 yrs in the valley, Ive finally found an auto repair shop Im totally satisfied with & its local, family owned & operated!

Ethical. Andy quickly noticed that the cause of my CEL was a disconnected sensor. It had apparently not been fully reseated when the engine mounts were replaced at a dealership months earlier. He recommended plugging it back in and avoiding the unnecessary cost of replacing a perfectly fine component. Thank you for being straight forward and honest with me, a first-time but sure to be repeat customer.

I had gone into this shop on 6/19/2020 due to receiving a mailed coupon for a free oil change and filter replacement.After my experience, I give a 50% out of 100. The oil was correct, but everything else was wrong.While waiting for my car, I overheard a conversation with a customer and employee over the proposed payment price and how it was different than when initially discussed. The customer was told that although the information may have been verbally provided wrong, the quote sheet had the amount listed.I also heard another interaction with a male customer who was advised by an employee that after inspecting the vehicle that there was a pretty large oil leak. I thought this was great since the emplyee was communicating an observation on the car.When my oil change was completed, I was handed my keys and the receipt and I was told that everything was good to go.I then began to drive home. I immediately noticed an odd sound coming from my vehicle that was definitely not there prior to my taking the car in.I assumed this was due to the fact that my oil filter was replaced and needed the drive home to get situated.When I got home, I looked over the paperwork as I was curious what was on it. To my surprise, I saw the mention of a large oil leak which was odd given that up until the point where I got the oil change, I had no oil spots in my driveway (I park in the same spot in the driveway).I thought it was odd that I was not told of the leak at the shop, considering they had just gotten done telling another customer about an oil leak found. Not sure if it was because I was a girl and the other customer was a guy seeing as how based on the conversation, the man seemed vehicle savvy, but I do not think this excuses the fact that I was not told this info.Not fully trusting this place now, I called my familys mechanic to have them look over the car.As I drove it to the mechanic, after about 10 minutes I noticed smoke coming up out of my hood. This was the only other time I drove after getting my car back from Red Mountain.I got the car back today 6/29/2020.I was advised that the cause of the leak was due to Red Mountain putting on the incorrect O-ring.As a result, it cracked the oil filter housing cap causing the large leak.This endeavor cost me $200.00 which makes me INSANELY unhappy. I will be contacting Red Mountain to discuss my re-imbursement of this amount as it was confirmed by the mechanic that they were the ones to mess up my car.After this experience I can confidently say that not only will I never take my car here again (dont want to take the risk/gamble of something else being done incorrectly and causing hundreds to thousands of dollars worth of damage), but I will also not recommend anyone to go here given the experience I had.

After going to a different shop and waiting 3 months to get my Jeep back only for it to be in worse condition than when I dropped it off my dad told me to bring it to red mountain. They were very professional and friendly they replaced my engine and had my Jeep back to me in a week and a half. I will be bring all of my vehicles here from now on.

My sister brought her car to this shop to have her Catalytic converter replaced, which the shop did, however upon picking up the car she had a new problem, the power steering wasn’t working. She took her car back and explained her problem, however they wouldn’t acknowledge that they had any fault in causing the damage done to her power steering hose. The hose had a puncture, not caused by wear and tear. Not cool.

Seriously the most helpful people! The explained everything that needed to be done showed me the tires that needed replaced. The were fast too. The had a great sense of humor too! I would seriously recommend them to anyone!

After a disappointing experience during a recall at a dealership, I was told my battery was weak. I knew I needed new tires as well. I arrived at Red Mountain around 4:15 in the afternoon. Although busy, they got me in and out in about an hour. I was treated like a customer who mattered. I felt appreciated. Friendly staff and quality work. I will definitely go back.

Sent us a coupon in the mail for a free oil change tire rotation. They also checked our ac for free it recently stopped working altogether. They gave us a fair quote but said it’s working as of now and sure enough it was. After about a month it stopped again and they told us over the phone to snake underneath the glove box and see if that works and it did! Family business! Great customer service! Honest people! Very nice staff, i was turned away by discount because they didn’t want to touch my over sized tires for a rock crawler. i stopped by red mountain and they weren’t sure if they could mount them but were willing to try, it all worked out and i will be glad to do future business with them.

My personal experience at RMT was exceptional. I felt that the owners took time to explain and answer any question that I had. Also, while I was waiting, I had the opportunity to hear several customer interactions (both on the phone and in person) and I was so impressed! The owners and the employees were fair, kind, above and beyond helpful, funny, and efficient. This place definitely has a true family business feel. Even though I live in Chandler, I will drive the distance for the excellent service and fair prices at Red Mountain Tire.

Been dealing with these fellows for several years. Theyve helped us nurse our 23 year old Honda and keeping her going for as long as we can. They never over charge. Very accommodating.Update: if you are like me, and always fearful of being taken advantage of regarding car repairs... look no further.On two occasions I brought the car in with what I thought was serious issues that would require hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of work only to find out it was a simple fix. One of these times they figured it out witout me even leaving the car and sent me on my way NO CHARGE... who does that? NO auto shop i ever knew of. This is a great reliable honest shop.

My son brought his car in when the check engine light came on. They quoted him $2,000.00 for repairs. He certainly could not afford that.Then they charged him 95.00 for the estimate. He never saw any sign or was told he would be charged. I called the next day demanding an explanation, but never got a call back. Old fashioned honesty?You decide.By the way, his check engine light went off on its own and the car is running fine.

I tiok my van there to be fixed with fan motors running. We put on 3 different relays and so did they and we put on new thermostat. And wire harness. They checked a/c and charged $75. And didnt do anything to it. And another 113 to fix it. Plus labor the next day it overheated again. We put a wire from battery to fan with $12 wire and is now fine. I wont go back!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I repeat DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE EXCEPT HERE!!! I took my mothers car in because her A/C was not working. They came out and told me it would cost $3000 because she needed a whole new kit for the A/C. We went to another place that said it literally only needs a new valve because this one is leaking. With labor and an oil change they charged $70. I can not believe how bad they tried to rip my mom and I off!!!! I mean 3 grand?? Do not go to this shop!! I am writing a review everywhere I can to warn people of this place that is EXTREMELY dishonest and tries to take advantage of people!!

Excellent service well beyond my expectations before going in. The manager in particular (Willie) and his staff had a professional approach to the task that I presented them with and an intense, can-do attitude that totally took me by surprise being the snow bird that I obviously was. Theyve earned my repeat business and I hope you give them a chance to earn yours.

I had to have my batteries replaced and took my diesel truck to them to diagnose. They found they were both bad and changed them out under warranty. I was only charged a small and very fair installation fee. Their shop and their lobby was clean. They had some old antique automotive stuff I looked at while I waited and they also had free wifi. The employees were very helpful and friendly. I will be back again if I ever need repairs done on any of my vehicles.

Took my car here because I knew I needed my back breaks replaced. After checking it out they told me I wouldnt need them changed for a few more months. About four days later I had to take my car to the dealership with some issues. They told me there that my back breaks were so low that they were beginning to cause damage. They did need replaced.

HORRIBLE! I had a free coupon in the mail from them so I went. 90 minutes later my car was done. They tried telling me so much was wrong with my car! They didnt even put oil in the car! They just changed the reset oil button on my car! I cant believe they run a business like this! So now my husband is stuck in northern PHX with a car with no oil! He knows car I dont! Im never doing business with them again! Sticking to my normal oil change place now.

I originally came to this location with a free oil change coupon, from a Red Mountain High School fundraiser card. Otherwise, I would not of chosen this shop as I have previously heard mixed reviews. Long story short, following my free oil change I experienced multiple problems with my car. I returned to explain my car problems and they responded with a long list of expenses I would need to pay. All in all, sketchy experience, and now sitting at another repair shop getting the new issues fixed. Coincidence? I think not. Do not recommend this place. Related closely with Red Mountain Football Program and WILL be removing their coupon from the card as I do not want anyone experiencing this too.

Have always been helpful and straight forward. My whole family goes here and we have never had any problems.

I took my car in to get a tire plugged. They told me it would take 20 minutes. About 45 minutes later I asked how much longer it would take to complete. The guy at the register poked his head back in the shop then turned around and told me, theyre just about to put the tire back on. Twenty minutes later they still were not finished so I walked out to the shop myself. They were still plugging the tire. I went to speak with the guy at the register again and he apologized and said they were training a new guy, and, and that it would not be much longer. A full hour and 15 minutes after I arrived, they finally finished. They did not charge me for the plug (most shops in the area do not charge, so this is nice but not uncommon), and had it ended there I would have been a little annoyed, but otherwise fine.I drove the car home. A few hours later I got in the car to drive somewhere. After pulling out of the driveway I noticed the car felt odd. I got out and looked at the tire theyd plugged to find it completely and utterly flat. Mind you, when I brought it in, the tire was just low on air, nowhere near completely flat. I called to ask them to fix the tire, but no one answered. I left a voicemail. Three days later no one has bothered to return my call.Perhaps my experience here is an isolated and rare one, not shared by many others. But based on what happened in my case, there is no way in hell Id ever go back to them. If you want a GREAT tire place, go to Gunnells Tire & Auto on McKellips and Gilbert. Ive been there many times before and they are wonderful. We recently moved and are not as close to them anymore, which is why I went to Red Mountain. Big mistake. Ill be making the drive back to Gunnells if I need any future tire service.

I moved to Mesa 5 years ago and did not know anyone or where to take my van for service, I popped in Red Mountain and have been going there ever since. As a Woman it is hard to know who to trust, I trust these guys implicitly, Even if it may take a little longer sometimes I know the job is being done right 1st time.

Took my 93 Firebird for a synthetic oil change and when we picked it up the Airbag light was on. Took it back twice and they had put diagnosis machine and said its not their fault.Wont be going there with any more with any of my 8 cars......😞

My family and I have been taking our cars to this shop for nearly 20 years (even ages ago with the old owner). The prices are decent and they offer a lot of discounts. Their specialty is tires (and free tire rotations and flat repairs when you buy tires there!), but they do great work on everything else weve ever needed done. If they cant do it (or not cheap enough for you), they can recommend other places. They have done awesome things to help me out during hard times and are great people. Any time their work was sub-par, they fixed their mistakes with no questions asked. Ive never had any unexpected costs, and the owner, manager(s) and mechanics have always been up front with me. I can say they are honest -- Ive never been told I needed to fix something that didnt need fixing.

I used to use Red mountain all the time I never used anyone else. Both the Todds were amazing and Dustin (one of the mechanics) was always helpful and sweet. I sent everyone I knew to red mountain including my mom who had her motor replaced and my cousins. Owning 4 vehicles Im constantly getting tires and maintenance done. But then I moved out to queen creek and it was quite a drive go continue to go to them. I have had nothing but bad luck anywhere else. I took my car to J and Js to have them LOOK at the ac and they replaced the compressor before talking to me and letting me know and had my car for 3 days at that then I had to call them to find out it was FINALLY FIXED! Then I went to little O in queen creek for a tire and ended up walking out without a tire because of how unprofessional and rude they were. So needless to say even though its across town I will be making the drive to Mesa to go see my guys at Red mountain.

I took my car in for an oil change and tire change. I was told that they dont have the same quality tires that I have, therefore only the more expensive $200+ per tire. I said sure why not if this is the only one you have than lets do it. This was at 8:30 am and I was told it will be done between 12-1... So I went back at 1 just to give them enough time and they told me the tires arent here yet from the warehouse..... Wait a minute I got these ones because they were the only ones you had and now you are telling me that you dont have theM? They say come back around 2pm should be finished for sure.... At 4 pm it still wasnt finished and I had an appointment for 8:30 am???? ask for some kind of refund, didnt get any and got charged more than we agreed on.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE !!!
