I previously used East Mesa Auto Repair to align my wheels on my 2018 Ford F-150, and they did a stellar job on this. I got tired of going to the Ford dealers around here. For my second visit I simply needed an oil change and air filter change. They carried this out with professionalism and a customer-centric perspective that really impressed me. A friend recommended East Mesa Auto to us a few years ago and we have used them ever since. They are very honest, professional and quick. When you first call you set up an appointment day and time. Once the car is in the shop they are quick to diagnose. They call with the diagnosis and estimated cost. They never do anything without your consent. No surprises. The repairs are always quick. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend them to anybody.

To be fair the people I interacted with at the shop were friendly and they did do what I asked of them, take what you want from this, I was giving a vehicle by someone special because I feel in love with the vehicle on site and knew it had mechanical issues and wanted to do what I could and have a place do what I couldnt and Im new to vehicles and the DIY maintenance of them so I need to find out where to start and where to go so I Googled repair shops and took the three highest rating closest to me because the poor vehicle cant make it far and started going through reviews I tried to make sure and read 50 or more reviews of mixed positive and negative reviews from each of the three and went with this place in the Hopes of some help in one form or another like tips hints or options to name a couple options of help but at no fault of the company they where busy and I didnt get to talk to anybody about the issues or help/ mush info but after looking into what was on the paper they gave me it turns out 90% of whats wrong i in fact cannot do myself and made me sad and then the astronomical cost of the repairs broke my heart I know the vehicle is of little value and I could never justify that price and now to be honest I cant even work on it because most of what its need apparently requires the engine to be pulled/moved and life has happened and I find myself spending alot of time with my 99 year old grandpa he needs the extra attention after recent events.. so in the end I have landed on a 3 star review and these is how I got to that take what you want from it

Was a little hard to find being a small shop but they are well worth it they did a complete brake job all 4 rotors and pads replaced in under5 hours from dropping the car off. They even offered to give me a ride home i will be using them in the future

Had to replace the engine 2 times in six months. Unfortunately the warenty was voided due to the way the engine was damaged but they were helpful enough to replace the overheated engine for HALF price. Will recommend

The best automotive repair in the east valley. I’d drive from the west side just to have this place work on my car. Honest fair prices and I know I only get done what needs to be done. The owner is top notch and mechanic are always willing to sit down and explain what issue you’re having. My car is a 1993 and after three other mechanics failed to fix its problem, finally I took my car to East mesa auto repair center. I am so glad I did. Everyone listened to me and within 30 minutes, the mechanic had solved the problem and fixed the car. I drive such an old car because its a Nissan and theyre built to last forever. It has great mileage and is a classic. Thankfully, this shop is just around the corner and their pricing is fair.Its an incredibly clean shop and everyone was polite and attentive. It just doesnt get much better. :)

I found East Mesa Auto last year after moving to Mesa from Denver, CO. They are honest and provide great service. Yesterday my Lexus died on the way home. I called East Mesa Auto to see if they could come tow me. Laura suggested I call my insurance company if I had roadside service rider. Which I did. Called Liberty Mutual and they arranged a tow to East Mesa Auto. This saved me a few hundred $$$. The checked out my problem and called to let me know my positive battery cable was bad and they would start by replacing it. Cost $30. They called me back to tell me my alternator was bad as I had suspected. I had it replaced last year at a different auto repair shop before I found East Mesa Auto. Cost to fix ~$350. Laura suggested I check to see if it was still under warranty from the previous auto repair shop. It was. So I took it to them to replace under warranty. You won’t find a more honest auto repair shop then East Mesa Auto! Highly recommend them.

Chad and Team have always taken great care of us. They always recommend things, but tell you how vital it is to the safety of the operation of your vehicle. They never do anything without your permission, and wont recommend something that isnt needed for the proper operation of the vehicle and your safety. We moved to East Mesa in the spring of 2011, I immediately started looking around for a decent shop. Based on previous reviews, I gave East Mesa Auto Repair a shot. Ive tried 5 other businesses in the area, and East Mesa is by far my favorite. I am a mechanic too, but work dictates that I cant always do my own wrenching. I use my truck for work and you know how it goes working on your own vehicle, add a few beers, then the whole day got wasted somehow and the truck is still broken. Sometimes Id rather just let a capable mechanic do it, Ill gladly pay to have that problem just go away.Chads a good guy and a quick mechanic with no screw ups for me in 12-15 appointments. Laura is a great person who deals with all the customers at the front desk, she has a real personality and listens to your silly stories.I live close by so rather than towing to my house, if needed, Ill just have the tow company drop it in their lot overnight and I call them in the morning. The great thing is, the truck is usually done by the end of that day, even without an appointment.Pricing, I would say, is about middle of the road, not dirt cheap, not over-priced. I always want things to be cheaper, but you just cant pay someone to do quality work for the price youd pay to do it yourself.

Perhaps the best deal in the valley. We have gone here for 9 years and have always been happy with their service and prices. I have had everything done from a complete engine rebuild to a simple oil change from them.What impresses me the most is the honesty of the owner and mechanics that assist in servicing the vehicles. They dont try to sell you on fixing everything wrong. If it looks good they dont replace it. So many times you go into a mechanic and they push repairs that arent necessary. Got a quote once that my shocks and struts needed replacing from a corporate company. I took it here and they said Everything looks great to us. Saving me over $1,000 of useless repairs. So I give East Mesa Auto all my business.

The most honest auto repair shop I have ever seen. The have never charged me to diagnose a problem my car may be having. they always give you an estimate for repair, and they stick to it right to the penny. They are 1/2 the price of the dealer, and their customer service is better. They even have a shuttle to drop you off and pick you up. It is pretty far east, however the money you will save by going here, will be worth it!

I needed my battery tested fast and replaced, if necessary. They tested and replaced on the spot, as I was in a deadline where I had to meet somebody in 1 1/2 hours. Great service and very friendly!!

Took my wife’s car in for an oil change and car wash at Cobblestone a few weeks back. The tech there said I needed a new battery because the voltage was so low. So, I paid for a brand new battery. Fast forward to this week and that same car gave a check battery light.So, I took it to East Mesa Auto. Their computer said that the battery had low voltage. Hummm? Well one of the Master Techs Chad simply got a cup of water mixed with baking soda cleaned the cable terminals for the battery and it was fixed.Thanks again East Mesa Auto!!

When I emailed East Mesa Auto(EMA) for a rough estimate on my rear brakes(including rotors) and an alignment they came in 100.00 cheaper than the original estimate from sears auto in Mesa (500.00).Imagine my surprise when I received that call from EMA, ...your front brakes are at 60% and you rear brakes are at 80%...Well I did need an alignment and tire rotation (my request, if needed) the bill was under 100.00.EMA I commend you for your service practices. After bad experiences with my last 2 mechanics I was so grateful to find this place. One of my cars kept breaking down but I havent had any problems since this place started servicing both of our dog rescue vehicles. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is nice. I wont go anywhere else.

So when I was stuck with no other option at the time then to take it to an Auto Garage, my grandparents recommended their garage to me, East Mesa Auto. This is a very honest, reasonably priced shop. This is the only place I trust to work on my families cars.Update: How can you tell you are at an honest shop? I was out of the country and my wife had problems starting our van. Took it to East Mesa and they called me to tell me the battery needed to be replaced and it looked like it was still under warranty at Walmart. She got a new battery under warranty and East Mesa did not charge anything. You cant get any better than that. Highly recommended.

I have been a licensed mechanic, businessman, and radio amateur (know electronics) for the last 50 years. With that kind of experience, I can usually tell when people are trying to take advantage of me. I started doing business with East Mesa Auto approximately 4 years ago and I have always found them to be very knowledgeable, honest, and all around straight shooters. The owner Chad, is extremely knowledgeable and honest, and as a businessman, I can tell you that quality starts at the top. I would not see Chad hiring any mechanic that did not meet his high standards. During my conversations with Chad over the past years I have found him to be what I would call “Old School” where integrity and his word is his bond. That is one thing I especially appreciate since it is so hard to find a business these days that follow those principles.It is quality at a reasonable price. Two years ago I had what appeared to be a very serious transmission shifting problem. Anytime you have a transmission problem it’s usually going to be very expensive since you never know what is wrong and in most cases you need to take it apart to find the problem, which by itself is going to be labor-intensive. We had guesstimated the cost between $2000 and $3000. Two hours after I delivered the car, they called and said to pick it up and the bill was $158. Some rodent had chewed through some electrical wiring causing the problem. They could have easily kept my car for 2 days and charged me $2500 and I would be none the wiser, but instead, they were people of integrity and ignored an opportunity to make an easy $2500 clear profit. From my experience and knowledge, I can only give them the highest of recommendation. I have sent several of my friends there and they have all said that they were very satisfied. Had front brakes and steering box replaced for right at $1000. The steering turned out decent but had to take my truck back as it was pulling to the right. They bled the brakes and said they got a big bubble out and truck was good to go. After leaving shop truck still pulled to the right upon braking quickly. I was told it was designed that way to avoid head on collisions, so i left. Now it has started pulling worse not pleased

East Mesa Auto is my new go-to place for any repairs my Christine needs. I had been going to a chain repair place, and felt like they were overall honest with the issues I kept experiencing. After a while though, I started to get an uncomfortable feeling that I was being overcharged, etc. I started bringing Christine to East Mesa Auto for second opinions. When I have explained what I was told was wrong, they could have confirmed what the chain place stated. Instead, they did their due diligence. Both times, they have corrected the problems for less (with actual less broken or required to replace parts). When Ive talked to Chad after each repair, he has always guaranteed his repairs / diagnoses.I would say the only complaint I have is that they are closed weekends :D However, they are amazing and offer pick-up and drop-off service.

Chad and his team really are the honest mechanics of the East Valley and if youve heard that phrase around town, theres a reason for it! This is the first shop Ive been to where I was quoted a price for a job, the job got done and they actually charged me less than quoted. They didnt look for an excuse to charge me the extra $100, they didnt add it on as extra hours. They just charged me less than quoted and sent me on my way.

The service was great but I absolutely did not appreciate Chads attitude towards me. I do realize that most people dont respect teenagers because Im only 17, but Chads attitude wont get that company anywhere if he keeps up with his negative attitude towards customers. The other mechanic did a great job installing my airbag clockspring. But as I was talking to Laura, I asked her if I can check out the clockspring before I pay for the installation and Chad hears me and says, either way if it doesnt work, you still have to pay for it because its your part that you bought and not ours and we installed it for you But he had a negative attitude in his voice which I did not appreciate. It was my part as well that I bought off of eBay. Ill still come to you guys for repairs on my car because you guys are really good but I never do not want to have an attitude towards me again Chad no matter what age I am.

This will be the only place I take my vehicle. I had an issue with my power steering and Chad and his qualified staff took care of it. Very professional and will stand by their work.

Once again, the front brakes of our old 2001 Honda CRV (a problem thats been happening more frequently as she ages) had been starting to vibrate each time I needed to come to a stop. Also was concerned about the age of the battery (3+ years) as the heat here in the Valley of the Sun is quite hard on them. Finally, needed to have new wiper blades put on as well as again, the heat and low humidity is hard on wipers (and tires for that matter) as well.Called and made an appointment with Laura who set me up for an 8am drop off. Dropped my car off at 8am and Troy, one of the mechanics kindly gave me a ride back to my home in their new shuttle van. Nice and smooth ride yall have got there with that new van!Mid afternoon, Laura called to inform me that our Honda was ready and Troy was on his way to pick me up. A few minutes later, Troy called from out in the driveway (now thats awesome service, thanks Troy!) and I went out and he already had my bill which I looked over, good news, battery was still testing strong as was the starter! Yeah! Troy then took us back to the shop.Met with Chad, one of the head mechanics who kindly worked on my car. He went over the items he worked on and confirmed his findings which was good news for me. I did end up getting new front rotors as machining them would make them thinner and thus even more susceptible to future warping. Happy with the work (brakes worked smoothly on the drive home) they performed, topped off the fluid level of the brake reservoir, new wipers front and back and a set of new rotors. Again, battery tested strong as did the starter which was good news. Appreciate the integrity at this place. Theyve totally earned my trust.Anyway, with parts and labor, $190 which makes our Honda ready for the Arizona biannual vehicle emissions and inspection testing. Many thanks for taking care of our vehicle again to Chad, Troy and of course, Laura who pulled it all together for me! See you all next time when our Honda needs maintenance!Hook em!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Had a problem with our Honda shimming when the brakes were applied. Wasnt sure if it the issue was related to the rotors or possibly pads or both. Called East Mesa Auto Repair and Laura scheduled an appointment for me.Took our Honda to the shop @ 7 am this morning. Laura said that they anticipated the job to last less than 2 hours (they kindly offered a ride home if I could not wait.) after they looked at the car and found the front rotors were warped and that it would cost $85.00 to correct the problem. I gave them the green light and in 1 hour and 15 minutes (this included a road test to confirm the repair) our Honda was good as new.I appreciated that they quickly found and corrected the problem with our car at a very reasonable cost. Well take our vehicle back there for future maintenance and repairs. Thanks East Mesa Auto Repair!

Everyone is very weary bringing their vehicle to the mechanic. I did my research and chose East Mesa Auto Repair because of high Yelp & Google reviews. Called on Wednesday and made a basic appointment for Friday at 7am. Dropping the car off and letting them know I want fluids and it may have a leak. They said ok we’ll let you know what we find and won’t do anything without checking with you first. I like that. Then they had a shuttle which drove me home and picked me up later to bring me back to my car! That was impressive! I was prepared to Uber so that was a major convenience. I declined the major repairs just it’s just a POS little car but there was no pressure or upselling. Troy (?) the manager was terrific, I let him know I was happy with the experience. Highly recommended, superior customer service.

We have been taking our cars here for years, You will not find a more honest shop they will not do any unnecessary work on your car. i recently dropped my van off to have oil and spark plugs changed, I was called by them to tell me the plugs did not need changed they were in spec. They could have just put new ones in and charged me but they didnt. I respect that and will continue to take my cars to East Mesa Auto.
