I love this place! My boyfriend took me here and I was like a little kid in a candy store! Too much fun and good stuff EVERYWHERE!!! I found SO MANY treasures, now I need to find more money and get back over there!

Store is usually awesome..but the locking of the door? Not really on the legal side there. Instant safety hazard. And when a group of people walk out...let the same number back in. I dont handle tyranny control well...

Lost my business, horrible customer service! I went to space age for a pint of paint and 400 dollars in other supplies. I gave them the code from the door jam and verified through toyota the code was correct.1C6 is graphite grey pearl and I asked for that specifically. But when I sprayed color it was almost black, completely wrong. Went back to see what happened and it appears that different brands have different colors for 1c6 and I got metallic mica. So I asked for and exchange for a different brand that would match. He said I cant do that Ill give you 50 percent off. I said thats not right the 50 percent that I used is useless so I need a exchange. He said Im trying to work with you I asked for another manager cause he said he was one, the other manager never came he finally agreed to do a new can filled up 75 percent cause thats how much I had left in the old one. What kind of bs customer service is this? Its not my fault you gave me the wrong paint when I asked for a specific color. A bonus I got was a downgrade in quality, mixed me a 35 dollar cheaper can. And Im still out wasted reducer and 2 trips to this place. Lost my business, would not recommend ever again. To better explain, 1c6 is grey and the 1c6 they sold me was black, 1c6 touch up pens are grey. The paint I purchased was a more quality type but very wrong. They showed me another brand of 1c6 that was a grey and matched when I went back, and showed me a comparison between the two brands which is night and day literally. Its not even close. Ill add pictures.

Absolutely huge selection of everything you could ever need and very well organized. The employees are doing a wonderful job even though they are very understaffed. You may have a bit of a wait to get your paint due to the understaffing, but it is worth it. We got a perfect paint match for out car along with every other item we could have possibly needed. We will definitely be back!

They are awesome! You should go there even if you dont need paint because they have so much more. Paints of all kind, sandpaper, body work stuff, tape, auto detailing, brushes, spray guns, airbrush, car wash, etc! Go and support local!

Just popped in last week and they had a great selection. It is a good store to go to but only IF you know exactly what you are looking for and dont need help. The managers and all employees Ive seen there are children with little to no knowledge of the products they are selling. Because they are one of the only auto paint stores around I guess they havent yet had to learn the art of customer service which is very unfortunate. Would love to get in contact with the actual owner of this store

My son would live here if he could I think. He has been coming here for 10+ years. The employees are very helpful and have a wide range of paints, clear coats with all the odds and ends. He always comes home happy with his purchases with the added knowledge he receives here. Best place ever!

Awesome and neat place. Not just a automotive paint store but they had many different products for many different things. I especially liked that there were pieces of history displayed throughout the store. Kind of like a museum in a sort of way.

They have everything an automotive refinisher needs, pro or amateur. They carry usefull supplies that all the other autopaint supply stores discontinued stocking.

Very rude to customers girl employee said understaffed can’t go in ??? No explanation wow!!. While she is sitting on the job ??? Customers waiting by front door either can’t afford staffing or going out of business not sure better shop online I guess :-/ not friendly to public beware .

This place if youre looking for paint is by far hands down the best place to go Where youll find what youre looking for. They can match anything for any project that youre working on as well as having an inventory of the materials that youll need for your project including prepping it and finishing it. Their staff is the most knowledgeable staff for their products and suggestions if you have questions not to mention their products are top of the line theyre not the cheap stuff you find at Walmart theyre actually commercial grade professional equipment.

Very helpful staff! I know almost nothing about painting they showed me everything I needed to know and sent me on my way. I was there for about an hour so expect to be there a while but the one on one with a professional makes the wait worth it.

First off. My son went to space age to get a couple of cans of a special mix color. Now this is spray auto paint. Yes they mix and then fill the aerosol cans. This is the kicker! You pay $12.15 for the can then you pay $16.00 for the paint!!! My advice to you is go Napa on power and main st they do the exact same paint and everything for a hell of alot less! Napa on power and main st. Charges a total of $17.50 a can total and tax of course. So you can see the big difference. Way to go Napa. Now I know for sure that not all Napa parts stores have this service so call and ask if they do before you go. Power and main st. Store does. Happy painting

Customer service was outstanding. I had a couple of questions that were answered completely. If you paint vehicles this is the place to go. Every color you can think of is available or can be made for you. Little bit pricey, but what do you expect for professional supplies.

Waited over 30 minutes to be waited on to get paint made for my husbands memorial cross. Not once did an employee acknowledge us or say theyd help us out as soon as possible.Terrible customer service, business owner definitely needs more staffing to help the customers.Sadly we left without ever being helpe after a 45 minute wait.

This is a great store, I went in to get paint to match my Jeep color so we could paint the aftermarket fenders and it matches just perfectly! This store has a lot of different paints and small car accessories that I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. Definitely would go back when I need more supplies!

A place that every car enthusiast should experience. It is like a museum built for anyone that loves cars and mechanical oddities. They also happen to have the largest selection of hard to find nuts, bolts, clips and fasteners for cars both old and new. Huge selection of spray paint for any type of material you need to paint. Give yourself some time to just stroll around the store and look at the great things they have on the walls and ceiling and then buy some stuff to make you car project dreams come true.

What a place! They match you paint, put them in spray cans, including hardener and clear coat at reasonable prices. Can’t make my weekend project any easier!

Im just a backyard,self taught painter(not a professional) I have a passion for being able to paint,with that said I love going to space age paint,the staff is always different it seems but they always are very knowledgeable,I drive 30 min to go to space age paint, instead of going to Westwood paint which is 5 minutes away from me, unfriendly staff at Westwood,Ive been buying about 6 years now from space age,great job guys and gals.

They are great very knowledgeable and if they dont have something they can point you in the right direction.

Had paint color-matched using their Wanda System Camera and this is their idea of matching and I am understandably ______ because I have a two-tone car now until I get it re-sprayed. I had to go to Napa in Phoenix to get the correct color matching done.This was Space Ages response when I called about this:Its your fault that the paint wasnt color-matched correctly and also you didnt give us a chance to correct it before you sprayed all of it!1. I had a professional painter spray it, I didnt spray it and so therefore how am I going to have a chance to give you a chance to correct it??2. I went to Space Age paint under the assumption that you would be able to match the color correctly when you use your camera on the trunk with the CORRECT Color.Thus I wasted $85 and wasnt offer a refund or anything but the EXCUSE that we dont take back mixed paint Well then next time Color Match it CORRECTLY!

Best store out there for parts

This is an all encompassing paint store like none Ive ever seen before! A bit overwhelming when you first walk in due to so much paint/accessories. But I was able to get past that. My only gripe would be that they had told me on the phone it would only take me around ten to fifteen minutes to get the paint I needed. Unfortunately even with 3 people working on mixing paint, it took them 15 minutes just to get to me and my order! (And I was the 1st person in line! There wasnt much multitasking going on Or so it seemed?) by that time there were 3 more people lined up behind me...great products/availability but plan for a little extra time waiting in line......

When ever i need paint or anything autobody related this were i go i always go for one or two things but always spend more than i wanted to soend 😆. A good salection of spray paint and on staff color matching.

Best place in the valley to buy auto paint supplies. Best part is they haven’t changed much since the 80’s (except keeping up with technology, they’ve done a good job with that). Keep it up!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. However the paint I got was a shade or two darker than the one on my vehicle. I went back hoping they can lighten up the paint but they said they couldnt.

Only problem I had is how rushed all the employees were I felt they were a little understaffed for a weekend. Other than that great customer service. Kevin fulfilled all my needs and try to find the way to best save me money would definitely recommend!!!

I called three times about a paint I needed. I would have liked to have an answer before I drive from Phoenix. Once I asked I was shown the spray paint but not the color I asked for. I have been here years ago and they were able to match the interior paint color I needed and put it in the spray cans. I brought my chart with the correct color code but never really got an answer. Body tools were not priced in the corner either. Ended up buying online.

This is a great place for all your automotive paint needs! That have everything for the professional to the garage painter. Very knowledgeable and great prices. They also have a huge assortment of nuts, bolt, screws and other body fasteners. Highly recommend!

Service & prices seemed fine, although the late 1960s red Dodge General Lee with a Confederate flag was too much for me in these times. Its the first thing you see as you walk into Spage Age. General Lee was the General/Leader of the U.S. Confederate Army who owned 200+ slaves & fought to keep slavery.

I was merely helping a friend carry some merchandise to the sales counter. Hes the propainter, not I. But it does seem to be a very well-stocked store.

Fifteen minutes inside the store, and nobody offered to help me. Couldnt catch anyones attention. Had to move on to somewhere else to buy what I wanted to. Decent selection of products, but unfortunately had no idea where to find what I needed to buy.

I love the place even though space age stores are disappearing in becoming a distant of a great time period. The real down fall of this place is the people that work there. I was there for a hour because the lady working there did not know enough about the clips or bolt to find what I needed. Again I love this place so much but the staff need more training.

Staff was super helpful, as we had a ton of questions on the mix for a specific color of paint.

Space Age has a great selection of vinyl pin striping, sand paper, rubber trim, and paints, etc.! I enjoy the antique vehicles and things, in the Mesa store. Unfortunately, I now live in Willcox, Az.

Helpful and had what I wanted for the right price

Ive never seen soo much paint. All different colors, tints, sizes. Different brands and little bottles of design paint. The staff is friendly and stay on top of everything, tty hey know what theyre doing and how to help or answer your questions.

They have great customer service, people always willing to help you on whatever questions you have, and huge selection of paints, but they need to add more colors to the airbrush selection.

So I have been here 3 times in the last week to look at colors to paint my car. Every time I was greeted and helped. They were so nice, helpful and patient with me each time. I kept overthinking and second guessing my choice and would want to go back and look again. One lady in particular, I dont know her name, was super amazing. Her nails were colorful and she has been working there a couple months. She was there each time I came in and she remembered me, remembered the colors I was looking into and even remembered the place I was getting my car painted at. She looked up to see what brand of paint the company typically used so I could pick out an exact color. The color swatches here were bigger than at the auto painting place Im using so I felt more confident in my final decision. I definitely recommend Space Age!

This place is amazing! I needed a color matched for my hub caps on stock aluminum wheels.First I tried Sherwin Williams because I knew they had the ability to put it into a spray can. It was going to cost over $80 and I needed to do a clear coat. The guy was not very confident. So I went to Napa Auto parts to see what they had and all they had was generic colors. A customer asked if I had tried Space Age paints, so I decided to give it a try. I am new to Phoenix and not aware of all best places to go, but Im learning.Space Age paints is THE place to go for everything paint related. These guys and gals know their stuff. They had a booklet with different colors for different makes and models (which Sherwin Williams did not) and were able to nearly perfectly match the color I was looking for. Thr paint came with the clear coat in it and only costed me $30. I am over the moon (ha ha). I am definitely telling everyone I know about this place if they are in need of paint. Thank you Space Age Paints, youre awesome!

Poor initial customer service but we did find one guy who eventually helped and helped us thoroughly.

Everyone there was super nice and helpful.

I actually really like this place. Knowledgeable staff, wide product line. However, there is a racecar body prominently up on the wall with a huge confederate flag on it and a comment praising general lee. Lose the confederate flag and I will change this rating to five stars. Come on guys, this flag has come to represent an emblem for white supremacy in today’s world of politics and race relations.

They were pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon. Took 15 minutes just to get my paint order started. But, after that, friendly staff and got exactly what I needed.

Love this place only place in Arizona where you will find everything you need in one store. The staff is great a younger kid helped me and my boy with questions and he went above and beyond to help us! I wish I could remember his name he is a young tall skinny kid that you can tell he loves working there and that is great to see now a days!

Ive been here a couple times to browse and for our senior design project. Lots of options, staff service is mixed, but the paint desk was very helpful when I needed it. I havent bought much, but Im glad this is here for when I need it, or just need some ideas.Also, the person complaining about the confederate flag needs to get over themselves. Its not their fault society picked their decoration to suddenly get offended over. Changed my review from 4 to 5 stars to help offset this.

If you need car paint or prep for car paint this is definitely your place. Only gripe is lack of people to help you or check you out. Glad they are busy but if you have a project you’d like to get in and out quick, not 45 mins later.

They really know what theyre doing! Of course, they have automotive paint and all that goes with it. I went in for a clip and scree to fit an interior door handle for a sixteen year old vehicle. Yes, they had it and, yes the staff member that waited on me found it without having to look up a thing! Im impressed. And it did fit. I also found some trim I needed and was given a small sample to make sure it would work. I was sent here by a dealership because it was a discontinued part. What a fun place to wander around!

A MASSIVE amount of their spraypaint is very very old and doesnt work at all. lots of visual fading and damage to the outside of the cans, and you pay more than what walmart, would have it for, for less quality and old product. Also do not grab any of the cans in the front, those are almost always used because customers just try them out. they wont discount any of them either if its very obviously halfway used.their airbrush paint also has visable heat damage and age signs. Not everything is price labelled so you have to bring it up to the front. You can easily buy the same stuff cheaper down the road at home depot or walmart.not impressed.

Put the poor guy thru hell, trying to find the right clip on fender flare fastener. He succeeded!

Great customer service. I have been going there for years to get custom spray paint cans made to match existing architectural metalwork. I recently found out that they carry all the odd plastic clips and specialty threaded fasteners for vehicles, including ones the dealer no longer carries.

I scuffed up the side of my car! Wanted to see if DIY was at all possible!! Juju referred me to the Space Age paint supplier! Bam ..best for my situation was not going to take me over the top! Easy paint stick/pen perfect match
