This place is a hidden gem. Hands down one of the best firearms shops in AZ. The selection is phenomenal (especially considering the times). 90% of the time they have what I need and the other 10% of the time they just order whatever it is I’m looking for. They’re not afraid to get their hands dirty either. In fact, this is where they shine. The whole crew is very knowledgeable so if you run into issues on a build or need them to do an entire build for you, they’re game. The customer service is top notch. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

This is a decent shop to go to purchase a new gun, pick up a transfer, or buy accessories, but thats about it. Lots of other services are advertised on their door and on their website, such a gunsmithing, cerakote, manufacturing, etc., but theres an important caveat to those services that the shop conveniently doesnt mention: none of these services are done in-house by Black Metal Firearms. Apart from being able to put sights on a gun or change out a rail system (things virtually anyone could do), all their services are contracted out to other people and other companies. Essentially, these folks are middle-men in big city where middle-men are all but obsolete. I wont mention the lack of professionalism, the condescending air, or the other things which give it a two-star rating. These things could be overlooked if the work was good, but even that cant be attested.

Very friendly family business, had the gun i wanted in stock, had a buttload of high quality attachments/accessories at a fair price.If youre looking for a gun and dont wanna sit at a counter for 2 hours with 30 other people in your local sporting goods store id recommend heading to these folks.

Excellent customer service! Took a chance and popped in for an AR. Took time to go through and select everything with me and get it put together quickly right there. Very friendly and helpful family store. Just getting into firearms and this shop has been one of the most positive experiences. Support a small Vet owned local business.

Dave worked above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my transaction. I also had an issue with my rugger 22 pistol and out of 3 people I went to he was the only one able to figure out how to fix it and did it for a good price. 5 stars all day

Great people. They were recommended to me by TSR. I had a problem with an extractor. They diagnosed the issue instantly and fixed it just as quickly. Will definitely be returning.

Owner and staff are friendly and consumer facing. You dont feel pressured into getting anything and theyre pretty responsive to questions when youre in store. Id definitely come back again to make some purchases when Im in the area. =)

I went on the website it down or has errors pop up anyway can in person to ask questions and in the process of moving okay I asked questions about ammunition dude was rude as hell breathing and not patient know your guns I told him mine and the ammo I was thinking but hella rude going to tell everyone I know what a rude experience it was

Black metal firearms is the best gun shop I have ever dealt with, hands down! They are very down to earth, no inflated egos and they genuinely care that you are getting THE very best firearms for your money! They carry a wide assortment of top quality parts and are extremely helpful in aiding in the design process of whatever your heart desires. This is not your typical gun store with racks lined with out of the box rifles... You pick your parts, they build it. I highly recommend BMF if you desire quality and dependability. Like their motto says... This you can trust!.

Dropped off some items for gunsmith work. I received a call when work was completed. Quality of work was excellent, price reasonable, and completed very quickly. I was surprised I was able to get my items back so quickly. I will most certainly do business with this shop again.

Excellent customer service! They did a beautiful job on engraving my grandfathers gun, best price around for engraving. They stayed over an hour late to make sure it was done. Such nice people! These guys were able to get my PITA 1911 functioning smoothly and in crunch time as I was leaving town. I cannot recommend the excellent customer service enough, I will be back to spend more money soon. Thanks for the great work!

The owner is incredibly helpful and very friendly. He is willing to work with you patiently to address any needs for your fire arm. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be going back to Black Metal for any future gun builds.

I built 2 custom ARs and both in the end had the same cycling issues. I had 2 other professional people take a look at them at another location to try and figure out the issue but to no resolve. In my frustration I was referred to BMF and after they ripped them down they were able to fix the simple stupid issue. Hands down I will be going back and more than happy to refer others.

Been here a number of times to buy a gun or ask a few questions. The staff are helpful and fun. They have a good assortment of accessories, mags, etc. normally in stock. Great local shop, recommend them very highly.

Great family owned business from what I can tell. Found them by chance when things started getting crazy. IE.. no toilet paper. I was looking for a few guns and had a few projects that my wife gave me the go ahead to finish. I spent 2 days in there watching him help whoever he could at extremely reasonable prices. At anytime he could have charged more, but was a man with integrity. He fixed my guns for basically just the cost of parts. Sold me a semiauto shotgun for below retail, and ordered me everything I needed for less then I could find online. Im still waiting on some stuff, but that is to be expected during crazy rush. Im a customer for life!

I was in and out in less than 20mins. They had the exact gun I wanted and best price compared to everywhere else. Really friendly and helpful even if youre not super into guns. I will definitely come come back here in the future and recommend this place to anyone else.

I like small gun shops. However, not this one. Im new in town and needed an FFL transfer on two guns. One internet purchase and the other a private sale coming from another FFL. They wouldnt respond to either emails from shipping FFLs. I stopped by their shop and they seemed moderately helpful and assured me an email from my FFL would alleviate problems. Subsequently both shipping FFLs reported they were unresponsive. If it was isolated occurrence I could be more understanding but it was clear they didnt want my business.

Im sure their quality is as poor as their service. Would not recommend to anyone.
