Big thanks to Ed and Steven for the work they did on my bow today. Still doing great work despite the fire. Theyre not allowing customers into the store at the moment but theyre out in the lot during normal business hours keeping things running. Inventory made it through without a scratch so dont hesitate to head down for anything you need, archery or firearm related.

Great place to get your archery equipment whether you want to purchase or just have them give you a tune up! Just bought the new Mathews VXR and am amazed how easy it was to get tuned in with their help! I have been to other shops in the East valley and will not be going back to any but Bear Mountain! They are honest, well priced, and extremely knowledgeable about the products they sell! If I could give them higher than 5 stars I would!

Absolutely hands down the best customer experience Ive had with anything in years. These guys are legit, smart, and on their game. I brought in an old rifle that had me stumped. Though they claimed to not be gunsmiths (I dont believe it), they helped me identify the problem by researching and learning like it was their own puzzle. I left with more information than I could have ever found on my own. Henceforth, this is my go-to FFL in Arizona.

Used Bear Mountain for FFL services for a firearm purchase. The gentlemen running the store seemed very polite and had good senses of humor. Service was very quickWould definitely use them again.

I went down the street to Timber Mesa Outdoors first and they couldnt of had worst customer service so I went to Bear Mountain and the customer service was exceptional. Honestly this is a great shop. They arent the flashiest with every brand new item that comes to market. But the have a huge selections of bows and good prices. Plus unlike Timber Mesa they dont try and pressure you into buying the most expensive stuff in there. And their prices are great compared to Timber Mesa.

Ive been here a few times and found it to be a welcoming experience. I know little about guns, but for the most part I am informed and assisted patiently each time. Most items they can order for a decent price. They also have a decent collection of items that I cant find at places like Bass Pro. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Every firearm I own I have purchased from Bear Mountain in mesa, The first few times were good experiences but lately the customer service aspect of this business seems to be lacking. Not sure if its because Im young but it seems like I cant get a call back when I call to check inventory for a gun I want. Good prices. When you go into the store the customer service is great and the staff is very knowledgeable. So maybe its just best to go in person from now on.

Stores a bit of a cluster, but staff is helpful and pricing is decent. Got last pistol for $100 less than online pricing and price it SHOULD have been selling at even though it was still fresh on the market. Just know what you want to post going in.

I like this place. Not as organized as some but a lot more low-key than others. The guys are fun to talk to and dont have that Im more bad ass than you vibe. Prices are fair and if they dont have it they are willing to help you find it, even if that means calling other stores. Of all the gun stores in the valley, this is one of the few that get my money.

I just purchased a handgun from Bear Mountain and there is nothing bad to say about the whole experience. I had called them and asked for a particular model and they had in Stock. When I walked in the price was higher than another local dealer but that dealer did not have any in Stock. They still reduced the price for me to a more competitive number! They helped me choose ammo, a cleaning kit and holster. The staff was informative and very polite.

I had one of the best experiences Ive ever had in an Archery shop today. The staff really took the time to make sure my bow was tuned in. It didnt matter how many adjustments were needed, they treated the bow as if they were taking it out hunting tomorrow. I live across town (45mins), I will make the drive and bypass every archery store, to only go to bear mountain from now on.

I went in to today as a first time customer and fist time thinking about archery. I was greeted with the a friendly smile and more information then I ever expected.Ed, the gentleman who assisted me, showed me multiple bows and offered more knowledge in the 15 minutes I was there then I have found on forums in weeks. I want to mention that I didnt buy today and get no pressure at any time to buy. Not because I didnt want to, but because I was introduced to so much information I needed time to think.I will be back in a few weeks to try multiple bows out at there indoor range and look forward to purchasing my first bow from them.I want to thank Ed for the time spent with a customer that had no knowledge and a giant raspberry on his arm. I contacted Ed (the owner) at Bear Mountain Inc, looking for a shotgun that nobody in the state seemed to have or didnt have a huge markup on it. Although Ed didnt have one in stock, he quickly located one and offered to have it shipped overnight. The price he quoted was only a little more than the best online price I could find online and that was worth not having to go the FFL route. The shotgun arrived on time (actually earlier than we both expected). Eds store is a bit underwhelming from the street and appears somewhat disorganized on the inside, but if you cant find something, Ed knows exactly where its at. Dont let appearances fool you. Hes doing a lot of business and while I was in his shop I noticed him speaking to customers by name, and it was obvious many were regulars. In fact, Ed remembered mine from the order and was very easy to work with and talk to. He went beyond way beyond what the big box stores do and actually took the time to explain things and walk you through whatever questions you might have. You dont see this kind of personal attention very much anymore. I highly recommend you give Ed and Bear Mountain Inc a visit.

Terrible customer service, I have been trying to get arrows from Bear Mountain since September of this year. Finally I drove from Queen Creek to their shop in west Mesa, because the arrows they ordered showed up the wrong stiffness. I arrived at the shop with one person in front of me in the archery range. Once Ed was done with that customer another guys walks right past me into the archery range and proceeds to get help from the owner, so I wait. He wraps up with that customer and this older guy walks in and Ed walks right past me and starts helping this old fart with his fingerprints. At this point 1 hour had passed without a single acknowledgment from Ed the owner, so we left and will never shop at Bear Mountain again.

Bought and had my bow setup at a prime dealer last year. Had nothing but issues with my bow. Could not get consistent shots with anything I tried. I walk into bear mountain who is not a prime dealer and they tuned my bow perfectly! Im now hitting broadheads,fieldtips and bare arrows in the same spot. Cant thank Ed and his team enough. I actually have confidence to fill my archery tags. Just made a customer for life.

I have an archery elk hunt coming up soon so I headed down to Bear Mountain to buy a new bow. The guy in the archery section seemed as if I was bothering his resting time. He was no help and I was asking all the questions. He didnt try to show me any other bows see what would be best for me. I immediately went to Archery Headquarters and they were great. I will be buying all my archery equipment from Archery Headquarters.

They didnt try and sell me a bunch of stuff that i didnt need which was a big plus for me . They are very knowledge and professional . Awful customer service. They tried to overcharge me for the ammo I was buying. It was clearly marked 18.99, but they rang it up as 23.99 and wouldnt change to the correct price (after I pointed it out) until management came over.Another time I went in to ask a question about a gun I inherited. They would not answer my question and treated me like I was a child.I will definitely spend my money elsewhere. DO NOT go here unless you like being talked down to. There are plenty of other family owned gun shops that will treat you respectfully, not this place.

I went to this store as a new archer. I did not like the string color of my new bow so I took it in to have new strings and a bow tune. I got my bow back and happily took it out. After my first day I noticed My strings were looking worn. After a couple more days the strings started to fray. My friend noticed I had string binding. After taking a look at someone elses bow I noticed my cable slide was on backwards which caused chewing up of my cable slide and string. Also the string stop was pushing the string back, following manufacture instructions I adjusted to the correct gap. I took it to Arizona Archery club to have new strings and cable slide installed and they showed me how badly tuned my bow was. The cam was pulling hard to one side, basically they told me this is was happens when you just put strings on and nothing else.UPDATE: Got my bow back. The original strings they use were assembled incorrectly causing a never ending twist to my peep sight. Thats why it would never sit straight. Also they installed my peep in the wrong place so that my anchor point was almost to the top of my ear.I would go somewhere else for bow string and tuning. It was a $130.00 mistake.UPDATE: Got a reply from the owner Ed. Wanted to know what happened. I told him and he said he will work to provide better service in the future. When I asked about the money he took from me without providing a service he stopped replying. Guess he is ok with it as long as he keeps my money for a service that wasnt done.

On a recent trip to Phoenix my buddies and I drove around looking for real gun shop. And after wasting a few disappointing hours driving around the area we stumbled into Bear Mountain and struck gold! Ed has been there for quite awhile and it shows, if you dont find it there you probably dont need it. He took the time to answer questions about some new items in stock, it really made the hrs of searching pay off. We will be stopping back in next time we find ourselves in the area for sure!

Horrible customer service. They talk to you like youre five and know nothing about firearms. And its the only firearms store I have been to where you have to be 21 to buy 22lr, I own 2 22lr rifles and no pistols. my friends have had the same experice. We will gladly spend our money elsewhere.
