Great service. Steve had the replacement condenser fan motor I was looking for in stock!! When I arrived at the shop I knew immediately I was dealing with the right guy. He went out of his way to make sure I knew exactly how to complete the installation of the motor. Thought I needed a new capacitor for my a/c (which he had in stock, much faster than online ordering), but he wanted to make sure he was getting me the right part, asked a few questions, and had me bring my old fan motor back to the shop. Fan was bad, and he showed me why. New fan was in stock, which he made plug-and-play with new connectors and explained the new wiring. Two Thumbs Up - much better service than online DYI videos! House is cool, and wife is happy :-)

I called Steve at Island Pump & Electric and explained my situation, he said he could get to our pump that same day & have an answer for us. D&E has lost our business for good! Steve is very knowledgeable and knows his trade. Hes not a here, but this and that or replace it all kind a guy. He really takes the time to listen to your problem and look at your system to see what the best and economical way to solve your problem.I brought a very old (probably 10 years old) and rusty pump from the previous owner of our house thats making a lot of noise. After taking a long look at it, and after all the options have been weighed, we decided that replacing the pump would be more economical than repairing it. Plus, its no longer being manufactured. So he told me to come back to pick it up. I expected to pick up a used, beat up, refurbished one for the price, but when I came to the shop, it was like a brand new pump. It was completely whisper quiet. It was so quiet in my back yard that I can actually hear the wind rustling through the trees.My next visit was for a cracked housing on the suction side due to overheating when my son ran the pump with no water flowing through it for about 12 hours. Now the pump is sucking air through the crack. Since its no longer being manufactured, instead of trying to sell me completely new pump, he advised me to put epoxy on the crack while the pump is running to let it get sucked into the cracks. I did that and added a hose clamp to keep the crack from growing further. That did the job! Should be good enough for several years until its time to get a whole new pump.I also like the fact you can text Steve pictures and videos so he can give you advise even before bringing your pump or while you work whatever equipment you get from him.

Great experience here! Not only did Steve do a great rebuild on my pool pump motor the took the time to show how to properly reinstall it and even provided the needed gasket grease for free! Highly recommended!

OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT! My boat lift quit working and both motors had a humming noise. I called Island Pump and Motor Repair and Steve took the time to help me troubleshoot the problem. He had me send him pictures of the motors, switch, and wiring. After a couple of discussions and following Steves troubleshooting steps, he suggested bringing in the switch instead of disassembling the motors from the boat lift. After a couple hours, Steve called me and said the switch was the culprit. He found me a replacement switch within an hour and after wiring up the new switch, my boat lift was back in business! I was so impressed that someone actually took the time to help me troubleshoot rather than refer me to an electrician or boat lift company. ISLAND PUMP & MOTOR SAVED ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS!!!! Island Pump is amazing! Steve has been incredibly helpful with the problems on my pool pump. He worked on my pump, trying the little things first, and was completely honest every step of the way. He helped me trouble shoot the issues and really went above and beyond to help me. Every time I have called with a question, he has patiently explained and answered every question. I started out knowing absolutely zero about pool pumps, and through Steves help, I am now at least able to troubleshoot and fix the do-it-yourself part myself! (As long as I stay outside of the pump itself, lol). If there was a 10 star option, he would get 12!!!

I called talking to owner telling him what my irritation pump was doing and told him I was told by a coworker and I even looked on line and both said it sounded like my capacitor. Owner said it sounded like a motor issue to take it all apart and bring everything except where it was attached to PVC. When he called saying it was fixed I asked what the problem was Lord and behold it was exactly what I told him.So a $10.49 part and way less tune cost my over $52.00. When I went to pick up pump and stressed again how disappointed I was that I told him and could have fixed it for $40 less and less time all he did was say that will be $52 and some change. He could care less.You would think he would have apologized and charged me less but I did not get either of those.Not professional, just a scammer to make money

I brought in a failed pool pump motor on Saturday morning and by Monday morning Mr. Welch was calling me with the test results. My four year pump had burned out and had to be rebuilt. Mr. Welch had the pump ready for me to pickup that Monday evening. The pump runs like new. I appreciated the quick turn-around time specially on a pool pump.
