I was on vacation down here and I lost my glasses In the Ocean! LensCrafters was able to find my Insurance, give me an exam and get me new glasses within a couple of hours! It notAlly takes about a week for me to get new glasses because of my astigmatism, but not here. If I lived down here I would scotch to them permanently!
Dave was fantastic. He has given me personalized service every time I have come in. Love the new Ray-Ban Stories. I just got glasses and I had to come back for this cool new wearable technology that allows me to never miss a moment!

Ive tried several competitors before giving LensCrafters in Merritt Island a shot. Several people insisted theyre the best. After trying the other options in our area, I can see clearly why this place is far better. I saw Dr. Gonzalez. Shes AMAZING. Shes patient, attentive, and obviously knows her craft very well. My sales associate Terry went far above and beyond. She shopped options for me while I was getting my exam. She demonstrated how her transition lenses worked. She switched the nose pads out for softer ones on a frame that I liked. She spent a lot of time with me. Night and day difference from my previous visits to eyeglass stores in our area. Im extremely grateful for all theyve done for me there. I wont go anywhere else from now on.
1st) The independent eye doctor and staff which operates in back right side of the store is top rate, a 5 star. Excellent service. Professional thorough eye exam. My simple test which did not include dilation or digital imagery cost me $65.00 out the door. A fair price considering all the questions and answering that I had. Also the fact that some of the testing procedures that I have done were totally new to me and I felt like I had gotten the best results for my eyes.2nd) The itself was is nice and the staff is also professional and understanding to your needs.What I found is although they have promotions for lenses and frames that the out the door price was ultimately higher then other competitors. For me, I have to have HD and no line bifocals lenses so I dont know if a single lens price is more comparative.Plus their low end frames at $110.00 were cheap looking and in materials. The high end frames were over $200.00 so I did not even want to go there.The end result was I took my prescription and shopped over to sears and ended up getting a better frame the lenses that I needed with insurance at $80.00 less then what Lens Crafters could offer.

My visit to LensCrafters was made most enjoyable by SalesAssociate, Jennifer, at the Merritt Island store. She gave heropinion when asked; was knowledge on all aspects of glasses,i.e., lenses, quality of frames, etc.; and assistance with under-standing different options for both sun and clear lens glasses.
I stepped on my glasses while home for the holidays. I brought the wreckage in for assessment and, not only were they able to fix them, I wasnt even charged! The staff were helpful and courteous and, in this day and age, it should be noted that the store was clean and covid safety protocols were strictly observed.

I purchased lenses for my frames (new updated prescription) and a pair of new glasses for my husband. The ladies both on the Dr side and sales floor were all very nice and helpful. My husband had a hard time deciding on which frames to pick and they helped us in making the final decision by giving their honest opinions. Both of our lenses were special order and we were told they should take about a week to come in. This was on a Friday and by Monday my husband got a text that his glasses were ready and I got my text on that Tuesday.Great experience! Would definitely keep buying my glasses here!😁
Dr. Gonzalez is great. The only thing I would have done differently would be shopping around online for frames instead of buying one immediately after the exam.

Dr. Gonzalez and her entire staff are top notch! Too, the technician that had been working on my glasses, took care of my trying on my glasses, taken them back and reset them immediately so they fit. Merritt Island, FL, LensCrafters is amazing! Friendly staff from start to finish! I have been there several times over the years for my annual exam and only encountered great customer service! Dr. Gonzalez is courteous and takes her time answering all questions after her thorough exams were completed. The technicians that assisted me with the exams and contact assistance were patient and encouraging. The Optical Assistant answered all my questions and even found designer frames and again helped with low cost amazing looking glasses for me years ago. Phones were answered on my first try, at all times. I was seen shortly after I arrived. They are extremely busy so you must have an appointment to be seen. They sent me a reminder in the mail and called to confirm the appointment. And, I never have to wait very long at all. Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your time. I walked in to the store with a fresh prescription, which hadn’t changed from the glasses I was wearing, Just scratched. I asked the tech to measure twice and cut once. Refused to remeasure but ordered 3 sets of lenses 3 times over a month with progressives. I’ve worn progressives for 20 years. I had to look out the side to see. The tech made me feel like it was my fault. $600.00 refund, I gave up.
Nothing specific to this lenscrafters... But get glasses online and save yourself a couple hundred dollars by NOT going to a lenscrafters
Lisa was good and professional. I do not want a newby like on my last visit. If I am spending a lot of money I need somebody who knows what they are doing. I did not come back because of that. This time I made sure that the newby was busy as I would have left again. When I come back in to pick up my glasses I need continuity of having the person who sold me the glasses and lense prescription.
Best eye exam with the most high tech equipment! Excellent customer service in selecting new frames. Although not on my insurance plan, I wont go elsewhere. Highly recommend this Lenscrafters location and ophthalmology office!

Customer service at the Merritt Island Mall location was horrible.Made very little effort to resolve an insurance issue that ended up costing me over $500.Will never go there again

Love my glasses but they got my prescription wrong every time. I kept telling them it wasn’t right and they told me I have to get used to them and that they don’t know what I’m talking about. I finally went to a different eye doctor and now I can finally see clearly out of my glasses. Go here for cute frames, that’s it.Reply: I will not be following up. I got my issue resolved elsewhere.

Glasses were complete on time and they are actually the best Ive ever had from my ability to use both the near and far without taking glasses on and off. Hasnt been that way for years. Highly recommend!!!
I was advised that my insurance being the best option afforded by my employer, was accepted. When I arrived I was told that due to me having a 0 co pay and my insurance reimbursing the optometrist a minimal amount than worth her time that my appointment was canceled. This is ridiculous. Why accept the insurance if you payout is not going to be what she said worth her time. Shame on this optometrist and her staff!!!!

Would have rated this LC lower but I had to touch on one to start this review. I have used LC in the past with good results. However, at this one the attendant tried to fill me FOS right from the start! My wife needed new lenses made and wanted them put into her existing frames which were about a year old. “No problem” we were told at first. In one minuscule part of the rim of her frames the coloring/clear coat was scratched off and was told the frames were “worn” and “would probably break” and “needed” to buy new frames. Never had this issue before. Maybe we looked like tourists???! We will wait and use the one by home.
I lost a nose piece to my shades, and they hooked me up. For free. Very nice ppl. Had I known they sold Oakleys Id have bought them there.
Bought glasses from lens crafters for over 5 years. Went it to get lens buffed. I was told, sorry there’s nothing we can do you’ll need new glasses. Really, nothing, just new glasses? Yes Ma’am.I’m off to another eye glass place even if I DO need new glasses.
I have monocular vision and a very difficult prescription to make. I’ve used Lens Crafters for over 20 years now. Yes, I am aware they are more expensive than other optical shops; however, the service, the quality, and the fact that they get my lenses right the first time, every time, makes the cost worth it for me. I do not get glasses in an hour; it’s more along the line of ten days. My prescription has to be made in their main lab, not in the store. I’ve taken my prescription to Optical Outlet, Vision Works, Walmart, BJ’s, COSTCO, Sears, and JC Penney’s in the past. I was turned away at each of them. Each said they could not make my lenses stating the RX was too difficult. I’ll continue to gladly pay more at Lens Crafters.
My experience a year ago was top-notch (I blended the ratings 1 and 5). This year I schedule my eye exam, and receive multiple appointment confirmations, including a telephone call. I get there 5 minutes early and stand at the empty front desk for 15 minutes to check in. When someone finally comes up, Im then told there are two exams before me. Having just watched the doctor have a very leisurely conversation with a patient (no hurry or schedule as far as he was concerned), I realized it would be at least another hour before I got in. Before someone cites emergencies, it wasnt. They were putting walk-ins ahead of scheduled appointments. I left as they had wasted enough of my time. Next time, Ill go to a Lenscrafter somewhere other than Brevard County, FL.
I had an eye exam that I paid cash for (no insurance) with their Dr but this rating is for the store itself..not the eye Dr that they use. I bought a pair of RayBan glasses AND a year supply of contact lenses from LensCrafters spending over $800 out of pocket (no insurance again) but I also ordered a different pair of RayBan glasses from a website with progressive and transition lenses because they were cheaper online. When I got them the progressive part of the lens was too low on the lens so I sent them back for repair. They sent me an email suggesting I go back to the Dr to have my PD measured which I did but LensCrafters said they were unable to do any measurements for me for outside sources (the website I ordered from) even tho I had already spent over $800 with them in their store on a pair of RayBan glasses and 1 year supply of contacts. I guess I shoulda read the reviews before choosing them to purchase glasses from. Is ZERO stars a possible rating? 1 star I feel is too much in my case.
If I could rate them lower, I would. Do not go here. My husband and I are on vacation, and he lost his glasses in the ocean. Came and made an appointment easily, which was great. Once we got there it was problem after problem. They didn’t put his insurance through, so we had to drive back to get a refund. Driving through toll rides, which cost more and more. They put us on hold twice and hung up on us twice. Once they recognized our number, they refused to pick up until i called from another number. I called over 6 times and was sent to voicemail each time. As soon as I called with a different number, they answered. Then realized who was calling and hung up again. Unprofessional, rude, extremely terrible service. DO NOT GO THERE AT ALL.

Every time I have been here my experience has been awful. Theres always an issue. I went in to get replacement glasses for my son and the frames were out of stock. They said it would be about a week to get them in. They call a few days later telling me that they are in. Only they arent my sons glasses they are my husbands. They go through great lengths to lie and cover up that someone made a mistake. Oh Im sorry. This was someone elses order. Then I get told it will be another week. Then a week goes by and then I get told they were sent to another store out of state. It took A MONTH to get his glasses. I swore Id never go back. Today I try them again to see of maybe it was a fluke experience last time. I get there as the doors open, pick frames and am about to pay when suddenly their machine breaks and they dont know when it will be fixed. I am welcome to wait around to see if it can be fixed for an undisclosed amount of time and then wait the hour for them to be made or drive to their Melbourne store another 30-40 minutes away. Im done with this place. Shoppers beware!
Dr Gonzalez was friendly but the sales staff are not nice I bought my glasses yesterday on 05/01/16 and I have to go back today because my lenses were chipped and they made me wait 2 hours yesterday and 1 1/2 today because I told the sales lady I didnt want those lenses.. Those people there are not friendly or customer service oriented it all I feel that they need a good training and more customer service skills.. Again dr Gonzalez is nice but the sales people arent and how come I paid a lot of money and you give me glasses that have lenses chipped next year when Im ready for new lenses Im going somewhere else and also the prices even with insurance are high. Stay away from this place
I made an appointment for 6pm because my glasses broke and Im blind without them, plus Im due for an eye exam anyway. I had to ask my friend to pick me up from work and drive me half an hour to this location because it was the only place with appointment slots available on such short notice. I printed and filled out my new patient paperwork in advance to save time. A road was closed near the store, so we were forced to take a detour. When I called the store to let them know I was almost there, they informed me the doctor had already gone home.... They offered to reschedule my appointment, but the only reason I even came to that location in the first place was because theyre supposedly open late..... Thanks for wasting my gas and evening lmao
After getting new glassesat a different location in late July, I got a bad scratch on one lens. The associate at this location told me that both lenses has to be replaced because of UV changes to the lens and they wouldnt match. BS. Thank goodness I left and took my buisness elsewhere. No problem getting one lense and was told that the UV issue is stupid after just 3 months. My wife and I had been loyal LC customers for a decade as I traveled a lot and wanted a national chain. Now theyve lost both of our business.
This 40% sale is an absolute joke for one. It’s 40% off after they jack there regular price up. They tried to charge me more than what I paid full price for 6 mos. ago for a more expensive pair with more options on my lenses.Second issue, you pulled up my exam from 2015, found that I had had a new exam done, pulled that up instead, now that I won’t buy glasses from you it’s a hassle to even get my script or a copy of it because you say all you can pull up is my exam from 2015 and it’s expired, but yesterday you were ready to charge astronomical prices for a pair of glassses with the same script no questions asked. And I will be calling the corporate office ASAP! And I will report this to who ever I can, this is a rip off and you know it is.

I was on vacation when I lost my glasses in the ocean. Yes, the excitement got the better of me! I made a trip to Eyeglass World and folks there were extremely rude. I decided to try my luck at the local mall and stumbled upon Lenscrafters. I got there at 6 pm and at first was asked about an appointment or pick up. I said neither and explained how I lost my glasses and needed a replacement pair, as my sight without isnt that great. I was sadly told that the opticians were about to head out for the day. I left the store and waited outside for my partner to pick me up. While waiting, the optician walked by me and noticed my despair. Instead of leaving for the day, she walked me back into the store and gave me an exam after all. Her name is Dr. Gonzalez and she was awesome. She got me taken care of in 20 mins. Then Donna, a store clerk helped me pick out frames and told me they had some lenses in stock. Finally, the technician put everything together for me and in under an hour, I left the store with a brand new pair of glasses. I am extremely grateful for the ladies there and the help they were. They basically saved the rest of my trip and I was able to enjoy my last day and a half of Orlando experience. Thank you very much!!
Supports a doctor who chooses to arrive 2 hrs after appts start so customers just have to sit around and wait on her
Elaine M Dolci has got to be the worst excuse for an eye doctor ever. Rude, impatient and unprofessional. Her push and shove method for fitting the sight equipment was actually painful. I had two appointments, the second was for my teenage son, and I cancelled it and walked out. What made this experience even worse was that I really needed the updated exam and I tried to call four times before anyone would answer the phone during business hours. You dont answer your phone during business hours? This should give a big clue to their idea of customer service.The location in the mall in Merritt Island assures that there will be lots of people coming in, but save yourself some anxiety and skip this less than professional staffing error. LensCrafters corporate should do a complete review and look into this situation. Poor service overall and surely not recommended.
