Possibly one of the worst customer service experiences that Ive ever had at any store. The employee that was helping me was very nice, but the other employee sitting next to him was extremely rude and kept interjecting in our conversation. I will definitely never be going to this location again. Verizon has always had a problem with horrible customer service and the only reason the people stay with them is because their service is really good, but the quality of service in the Kansas City area has gotten extremely bad and it has become a non-starter for a lot of people.
Noah and Eric they both helped me out when I didn’t have working phone for almost a month. They answer my questions were patient with me and I walked out that day with a better phone and help me solve my problem. Great service good people.
Brandon at the Merriam store went above and beyond to help me get my phone activated and working when I was locked out of all my accounts. Polite, kind and professional even though they were completely swamped. They are busy, but if youre willing to wait, once its your turn, they treat their customers well.
Amazing IN PERSON customer service. This is what right looks like. Talking with and engaging with REAL people who can empathize and relate to real issues.Verizon Wireless customer care over the phone has offered me zero success. These professionals solved my problem creatively and timely. My appreciation and thanks go out to all staff at this location but especially to the leadership team who drive the climate to for real time in person customer care.
Had a very poor customer service experience here yesterday. Me and my wife were both having issues with our brand new phones not working properly. The gentleman who helped me got defensive as if I was making the complaints about the phone directly to him personally. He said Hey man... understand one thing. I did not make the phone. Lets not cross there. I was pretty surprised that he said this because I had been polite in explaining the issues I was having. He then started furiously tapping on apps to try to get them to download, and after a few minutes, he told me that I should just try turning it off and on again as many times as needed until it works. We had already tried this and it didnt work. He then started helping another customer while I was still standing there. When I proceeded to continue asking him questions as I was not done, he got irritated with me. This is not a typical experience for me with Verizon, so I was confused. My phone issues and my wifes have not been yet solved, so I would appreciate contact in regard to this issue.
Grey saved a Verizon customer today! I recently received a Like New phone from Verizon insurance for my business phone. I had spent a couple of hours on the phone with customer service and ultimately had to make a trip to the store to get it activated. Then, the screen display became unusable on the third day that I had the phone. Grey did an outstanding job as liaison between customer service and me. His creativity and professionalism ultimately turned my unacceptable experience into one that has kept me a satisfied Verizon customer.
Youd think Id be used to the bait and switch by now. Commercial... Free phone!!! Store... $200 credit. You cant even sniff a phone for $200.
Went to this store for technical assistance regarding problems in the Mission city area. Instead of helping the people there messed up my phone settings and deleted valuable data without notifying me. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS FOR HELP OR ASSISTANCE.

I have been to this location a few times now and each time the customer service has been very poor. It is clear that they are sales driven (its business I understand) but the minute you have a problem and ask questions is where it seems like they don’t care. The gentlemen I worked with on Black Friday treated me like I was eight years old and was one of the most off putting people I’ve ever had to deal with.I strongly recommend you avoid this location and try your luck at any other location.
Had an amazing experience with Paris over the weekend. Stopped in right around closing on Friday and he took the time out of his day to answer all my questions. Picked up a phone in store Saturday morning and had a few issues setting it up. Paris and his team are fantastic and we’re able to resolve my issues in a matter of three minutes!!! Highly highly recommend you go see Paris!!
So I went to pick up a new phone as my father lives in CoMO. I spoke with one of the people helping me there and expressed it was my father paying for the phone. Got my current phone paid off as my mother had to do it in person in Columbia so I waited to get the new phone. 20 minutes drive time. No biggie. Happy to wait. However even after I had told this rep I didnt have a physical card to pay for the phone as my parents were taking care of it he still rang up my purchase and told me the amount left was $56 and some change. He previously told me he couldnt accept the card over the phone after I had asked since I told him I wasnt the one paying for it. So over an hour of my day and at least the $80 my dad spent to take care of the remainder of my bill was used today. I am very displeased and will not be giving this branch my business going further. And if find this same kind of treatment at other branches will find a way to switch carriers.
Been dealing with customer service and the store for a month and finally got the problem somewhat resolved after waiting and waiting in the store. Not near enough customer service employees.

I have visited the Verizon Wireless store on Antioch Rd in Merriam, KS, for several years, since it first opened, and have always been greeted with highly professional and friendly assistance no matter what my concern or need was. I highly recommend them as a place to get good help, ask about or purchase equipment, or to resolve any issues with service or equipment.
Very poor service, doesnt matter if you have the appointment or no they make you wait in line for atleast 15 minutes even they arent busyThey just keep you waiting for even a smaller issue
Poor service. We ordered a phone online today to pick up instore. They called and left a message that they didnt have the phone in stock even though it said they did online. They called only with the problem and did not have the solution. Perhaps they could have called some other stores close so that we could know where we should go to get the phone. Now I am spending my afternoon doing this. Honestly, they probably could have looked online in their internal system to find out. Horrible servicde.
This is the worst place to ever do business. They ran a promotion and the rep “forgot” to turn in the paper work so we never got the credit. I’ve been to the store at least 5 times about the issues and talked to Customer service several times and they all say the refund will be processed in 5-7 days and that was 7 months ago. I was just at the store 3 days ago and the store manager was supposed to call NEVER got a call.
The manager, Paris, is awesome. After hours on the phone with Apple, Paris solved my problem in minutes. He was able to have my iPhone replaced under warranty and shipped to me with 24 hours. Great service in a world of terrible service. Thanks!
Bad experience. Tried to switch carriers so I decided to go to Verizon. Because of COVID, I was checked in, they took my cell # and told they would call me within 20 minutes since there were 2 person were ahead of me. They even recommended me to do my shopping around if I had any or that i could go back to my truck since they were going to call me. After 30 minutes of waiting, I had to leave. Didnt tell them, I figured I would let them know when theyd call me. Its been 3 hours and they havent even call me!! I guess theyre not interested in new business.
My experience at this store over three different interactions was dismal. One employee gave me a wrong # to call. Another said they didnt have the phone I was looking for in stock even though they did have it. But by far the worst was when I scheduled an appointment for an issue with my new phone and the guy that came to the door said they were too busy, didnt have time and he even made up some fake excuses about why he couldnt help me. I scheduled an appointment at a different Verizon store a couple of days later and it couldnt have been a better experience. Friendly people, helpful, and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes.

Horrible customer service, on the phone now for over 2 hours to transfer a phone line to my own account. Told in the store can transfer a promo to new account on the phone told cant do that.

Started out a good experience, but when it came to helping me transfer from motorola to a Samsung, they were very disinterested in helping me. Told me to just log into gmail and it will transfer everything. It did not. Now my father has the phone, it will not even open the apps, says it must have wifi to do so. Not a good experience. I do not work at a phone store. I do not know everything there is to know about these products. If I just wanted a new phone and leave it to me to take care of the rest, I could have bought it online from Verizon. I went to the this store so I could get HELP with the process. Customer Service is the only reason for the stores to exist.Now, I have to to and figure it out for myself, or go to yet another Verizon store....Very disappointed.
Sales associates are very helpful up until you tell them you don’t want their bundle plan for a case, charger and screen protector. Twice now this has happened. As soon as I told them I don’t want to bundle they lost all interest in being helpful. You’re just better off going online to upgrade and trade in your phone. It will save time, money and a headache.
Overall, this is my go-to location for upgrades or issues. I’ve had a few associates who where far to pushy with add-ons. I get it, you have to push them. They make you. But lord. No means no. But I’ve had far more wonderful experiences than frustrating ones.

They do a pretty good job. They dont really have phone case options for anything but the top selling phones, which is fine considering this location isnt huge. They were pretty busy during my last visit, but as always they let you know when you enter somebody will be with you shortly which lets you know that they are all busy at the moment, but they did see you. Verizon is a good carrier, I dont have any complaints.
Ive been in this store a hundred times and theyve always been pretty helpful. There has been a few times where I really think that the associate working with me just honestly had no idea what they were talking about but did a fairly good job at faking it through the transaction. For the most part, its a good location Verizon store. It is my primary store due to location.
Salesman appeared to be more concerned to make a quick sale and rush to the next customer. Spent over 1500 bucks and hardly got any info knowing we were switching to a new operating system and my girlfriend for whom the phone was for does not speak or understand English that well. Was vague about special offers and we did not have a good feeling walking out of there. Had to spend hours looking at YouTube videos trying to figure out how to transfer data and then had to call to get it ported so she could use it. Still doesnt ring when we call it, so I guess well be going to another store to get help setting it up.

Maria, Justen, Moe and all of their specialist are great. This specific store is always the one I go to because they have great customer service and they do not care how long it takes to solver your problems or answering the customers questions. They take their time and make you feel comfortable. The store at The Legends and on 95th have terrible customer service.

Did not receive a paper receipt for the new phone I got which I needed because the representative who helped me, which I later found out was a manager, did not help set up my phone or give me any information on what I needed for it. I had to go to another Verizon store to have them help set up my phone.
Moe was amazingly helpful and patient as he explained everything in detail to my less than technologically inclined parents. He gave us a great deal as well. Great positive, upbeat vibe at this store from everyone working there.

When malware got ahold of my phone and slowed it to a crawl they told me my 2yo phone was really old and I needed a new one. I went home and started deleting aps one-by-one until I found the cause. They didnt want to solve the problem, they wanted to sell me another phone.
Horrible service at the store. They will lie to you regarding their products to try to get you onto a phone plan. I had to go to a different store to get a SIM card for my phone. I would recommend avoiding the store.

This is a horrible store with horrible service and staff. They push accessories and attempt to assume close each product by putting it on your order and making you refuse each product. Nate, the Solutions Manager asked me to leave the store when I expressed my dissatisfaction. No very good at solving problems. If you continue to use Verizon, avoid this store. Online service is best, after that check store ratings as they change service people often. Poor service and they couldnt care less if youre satisfied. 5 star ratings are fake.
Came in to ask a question about a last bill. Bottom line, they contradicted their own billing practices stating my billing cycle was different than what was stated on the bill. Stated that they can’t help and I had to call customer service. Nate became argumentative and began talking over me when I was asking questions. Stated loudly in front of everyone that I didn’t pay my bill even after I showed him my bank transaction. Exceptionally rude staff and if what he said about customer service not doing the right by canceling my service on the day I called to cancel then business practices are shady from top down. Thankful I switched to another provider.
I just bought two new iPhones from this store and the sales staff were the most obnoxious and overbearing sales people I have ever encountered. They just kept nagging about buying all of their accessories. My guess is that their commissions are based on selling (overpriced) accessories. Should have bought the phones at the Apple Store or online. I have never written an online review before but this experience was too much to ignore. R. Bower

Customer Beware: I carry a simple flip phone for emergencies or occasional text to grandkids. My plan allows me to pay ten bucks a month for my usage. I go to the Merriam store and pay $30.00, plus tax, to carry me ahead for three months. Oct. 1st I went into the store. It was my payment date, even though I still had over $10.00 usage available on my phone. An employee made a mistake and entered me into a NEW $30.00 A Month Plan. Two days later I discovered the error and returned to the store .The manager and employee acknowledged the mistake, but refused to correct it. Manager said once they put a new plan in place it could not be reversed. I asked for my original thee month payment money back. It was refused. I can use my phone for a month since I have their new plan on it, but guess what, I am now looking for a new provider, one who practices fair customer service practices and is accountable for their errors. (No stars is what I prefer to put on this place.) Follow up. I called the national office regarding the Merriams error and refusal to correct their mistake. She immediately helped me. She restored my original plan. My payment was put onto that plan. So, if you have an issue get the national number with a human person to address your issue and give you the help that you need. Their number can be found on the net. I will make future business with Verizon at a different location, not Merriam.
Absolute worst customer service yesterday. When I showed the agent that the phone should be $120 instead of $240 per their webpage, I was told either pay the $240 or leave the store. It stated I could order online and pick up at store and they said they would just tell me they were out of stock. I was forced to buy it at $240. The manager is the one who forced me to buy it at full retail.
Super helpful staff. Had the phones I wanted in stock and didnt try to pressure sell a bunch of extras. Suggested a case and stopped when I very politely said no.

Maria, Michael and Jim worked past closing to fix a Verizon problem that wasnt their fault. They worked together, they brainstormed, they did all they could to make sure we were treated fairly as we exchanged phones. They are all-stars.

I went to this store two different times and dealt with different sales people. Both times, they were very much into the hard sell method. The second trip I was definitely there to buy a new phone, but the sales guy kept changing the story about what was available at what price. There were many phones he simply would NOT show me. I could never get comfortable that what he said was atually true. I ended up walking away and going to the store at 75th and Metcalf (much better).
