Great customer service and prices.

As a contractor I dread going to this one specific location. Why? Because half of my visits I spend the majority of my time looking for a cart to load materials onto. Plenty of shopping carts but that doesnt help much when your grabbing a dozen bags of concrete. This is has been going on for years here and no other location in the metro has this issue. There are plenty of flattop carts but they are all loaded up with materials that havent been stocked properly. Its infuriating!

Lovely employee helped us find a product we were looking for (we are not handy people... buying a gift). Hate that we only saw 2 cashiers and one of them was manning all the self checkouts. Home depot credit card needed some type of authorization. Cashier made a call, sent us to other cashier at far end of store, who made the same call and helped us get the authorization cleared.

Replaced our propane tank. New system was a lot easier. The woman at checkout was great. We dont like the self checkout.

We stopped in to look at paint, and Lucky was wonderful! He took the time to answer all of our questions and gave great advice! We are looking at colors now, and we won’t go anywhere else to purchase it!

Always loved to go in the Home Depot about what I needed and have from the staff the questions were answered will return again if not there at the other locations

Pretty good Home Depot. Hit and miss on customer service. Some go above and beyond, and others you have to ask them to do their job and help you just find something.Need improvement with a few of the ladies at customer service returns registers area. One that seems in charge has been rude and dismissive on more than one occasion. Is a pattern with her. Dont know if she is still there because I just avoid the customer services area now.Younger guy in paint took time to even look at other stores for me when out of what I wanted. Had to tell older guy to at least look at extra stock in boxes above where often is some available when I asked him once.

Typical Home Depot and like everyone else a bit short staffed. But I was able to find what I needed. Everyone was friendly.

Austin is the GM and he was great. He was aware of a previous bad experience and after returning about a month later, he made everything right. I had very specific questions and he found me the right associate and I walked out with the proper gear. I had been avoiding going back to Home Depot, but it appears they have won my business back.

Found what I needed quickly enough, in and out had no help and checked myself out. Not sure exactly how many stars this is worth. It was fine.

Quality place. My only issue is the placement of the restroom sign. It hangs fron the ceiling at one end pointing to to rear of the store. Another halfway back points you back to the center of the store then another points to the rear. I walk all the way around the store! Put it in the front center pointing back! Done!

Just had the lousiest experience in this store and to make it better manger on duty Tim S. was nothing but rude rude rude. He should be in a different industry since he is clueless about what customer service is all about. No apologies from three employees that had a bad attitude.

I visited to buy a Toro Riding lawn mower. I checked online and the website said this location had 7 mowers available for purchase. I went to the store and the only mower assembled was the floor model. The floor model had no key in it and no owners manual. So I requested they assemble a new mower for me. It was suppose to be done on a Tuesday and it was done the Sunday before. I did not have the proper equipment or man-power to load/haul/unload the mower. So the Manager allowed 2 employees to drive with me in the Home Depot Box Truck and help me with the job. Overall, I would give the staff an A+. The experience was not as smooth as I had hoped, but the customer service was top notch!

They are always out of product. And if youre on your way into the store you better stop and get your own cart because they sure dont do it.... I am a contractor and I will drive extra distance so Ill have to go into that place. And its mainly the Merriam store

They had exactly what we need. The first time we got the wrong time they made it simple to return with no hassle when we told them we bought wrong thing and let us get money back no hassle. The second time no problem. Friendly and knowledgeable employees

The dude who ran the saw was pretty nice and all the employees we talked to were very helpful and seemed excited to answer all our questions.

Picked up new wheels for garage door & 32 qt. bag of potting soil. Greeter knew exact aisle for the wheels, which saved me time to look at all the cacti & succulents. Store looked great.

Staff was kind. Helped us find everything we were looking for. Might even consider a position there from how kind they were.

This is such a fun store to visit! I needed some paint and a kind gentleman helped me to find it. There store was decorated for Christmas with real trees and artificial trees as well as a lot of Christmas decorations. 🎄 I was able to find everything I came there for and more! Its so nice to be treated so kindly by Everyone who is employed there! I just love it!

Ive been to this Home Depot repeatedly while working on a few small projects lately, and the staff has been extremely helpful every time. Everything from cutting and threading steel pipe, offering suggestions on how to best handle certain aspects of a project to avoid issues down the line, and even knowing the aisle number for obscure odds and ends off the top of their head.

Got what we wanted and got out.

They had everything we needed and staff was kind and helpful Everytime we needed support. Everyone was really nice the whole time we were there struggling to figure out everything we needed haha.

We went to get wood for rebuilding a fence, after looking for a cart we had to go out to the parking lot to get one. They did bring a fork lift with the wood and transferred what we needed to the cart. Check out went well then we got to load up 2 pickups in the rain.

Tried renting a table saw from Merriam location tool rental, the over weight gentleman working behind the desk argued with me about not using the tool correctly, (I’ve been a carpenter my entire life) until I walked out and drove to the Overland Park location, where they happily rented me my saw no questions asked.

I love it here even though it’s kind of hard finding what I need.

Be great if they actually had something in stock

Our experience in the rental department was beyond expectations. We went there with the intention of renting a sander. Scott, the manager of the rental section realized how helpless and ignorant we were and took it upon himself to educate us in the entire process of redoing our floors. He freely shared his years of experience and insight, with guided notes. We came back more than once and he helped us through this entire renovation journey.A separate employee in the rental department, whos name I dont know, waived a late fee for us on a particularly bad snow day. Our experiences at comparable hardware stores have been pathetic in comparison. We will only go to this location from now on.

I go to this Home Depot a lot. I love most of the people who work there, however, I bought two rose trees from them this year that were infested with Aphids and the supervisor of the department didnt know what Aphids were and instead of doing something about their infestation, he blamed the supplier.

DELAY...DELAY...DELAY...KITCHEN REMODEL PROJECTOrdered kitchen cabinets but Home Depot didn’t submit the order to the manufacturer until a month later (HD had no problem quickly taking the money out of our account for payment right away). No phone call. No “hey sorry, that’s our mistake. What can we do to make it right?”. The only thing we’ve heard is a bunch of weak excuses. My pregnant wife has done all the leg work, calling the manufacturer directly to expedite the production of our kitchen cabinets, as well as calling the HD install company begging for an expedited install (still to be scheduled & likely won’t be complete before my wife gives birth). Because of their lackadaisical response to their mistake, our project is hitting delay after delay with no end insight. The kitchen counters we ordered through HD cannot even be templates (or manufactured or installed) until our cabinets are. The best part of this story - absolutely no offer of compensation or anything else to make this situation right. We’re stuck with a gutted kitchen and a new baby on the way.

Typically go to the Lawrence, KS Home Depot and have always been pleased. This place is a mess. Twice I have driven the 25 minutes to pick up an order. First time, after 6 or 8 hours, it wasnt ready and had to go get the items myself. Not a biggie but was in a hurry, hence order, pay ahead of time. Lawrence usually has any order ready within an hour. This time, ordered one item. Get here and they have no idea where the item is in the store even though they had 12 listed on inventory. Will not return. Whomever runs the Lawrence store needs to do some training in this store.Update: Once I returned home, I ordered same item from the Lawrence store (I work near Topeka so I will pick up tomorrow). Lawrence texted within 15 mins that the item was ready for pick up.

I am a contractor and get a lot of stuff from this store. I mean a lot. This is one of the larger Home Depots in town, and I find most of the workers to be helpful and cheerful. Some of the departments can be understaffed, but otherwise I recommend this store.

The truck rental department is great. I received excellent, professional service.

My children love the free monthly build events, when they get to construct projects to take home with them. I love that they are learning basic DIY skills.

As always the folks that work here are kind, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. There is no better home depot in the city. Ginger, JD, and Richard in tool rental made my trip just as pleasurable as any other time.

Most employees are phoning in their masking requirements. While please wear a mask messages are playing on their overhead speakers, their staff is wondering around with no mask or the mask just on their chin.

Employees are great but the tool that was purchased had already been opened and retaped I dont see how you can sell that as a new product or if theres any items missing from there yet the employees did a great job getting the order ready thanks a lot.

Store manager Bruce took pity on me when the grill we bought didnt fit in our Jeep. He threw the grill in his truck and drove it to our driveway! He and his crew were very professional and wore masks the whole time to help keep us all safe! Couldnt have been nicer at this store.

We spent $9k on laminate flooring, and it took over a month to get delivered to the store. There was zero communication on their part, and no one knew where our flooring was at any point in time. Once it finally came in, the installer went to our new house while my husband and I were out and ripped up every shred of carpet (new but not what we wanted) only to say that they could not install laminate on our floors because they were too uneven. They threw the old (new) carpet into our garage and left. We had to contact HD to find a solution as we were scheduled to move in in 3 days, having put off moving for two extra weeks in order to get the flooring in. None of the contractors with HD would install. We ended up moving all our belongings into the garage/kitchen/dining room and living like that for a week and a half. We had to purchase more carpet for $5k (refunding the difference) - despite them having just ripped out our new carpet. We were offered a couple hundred bucks as compensation as long as we signed some legal garbage - WE DIDNT! We will never ever use Home Depot for flooring ever again, and we warn all our friends not to use them either.

Fred was covering in the Tool Rental department and was doing a very thorough job while checking customers out. Each piece of equipment was testing to make sure it seemingly ran well in store. So helpful to us and to all of those customers before and after us. Id go back just to interact with Fred again, you know, just to ask him to spare some advice on life!

I went to Home Depot to have them pull lumber for a deck. Chuck, in pro checkout, was incredibly helpful and patient (since I wasn’t exactly sure what I was doing). He made sure I had exactly what I needed. Honestly, every employee was kind and knowledgeable. Make this place your store. You won’t regret it.

Nice store...lots of tools and equipment to get the job done right.

Had a much better experience at this location, a nice gentleman who Im not even sure if he was from flooring, but he helped me load both off the shelf, and in the car. Heavy tiles and backer board with 7 herniated disk is a huge task! Much appreciated!

They took $2k from me and are holding it to generate interest??? I dont know. They said my washer dryer & fridge would arrive on July 11th & now they dont even know where it is which means it probably hasnt been produced (definitely not shipped) in China. Its a good financial scheme that the guys at Home Depot have cooked up. Take your money now and dont deliver for 1 month? 2 months? 3 months?I took business ethics in college & it was a few years ago, but I feel like I could make a good case study out of this

Used to be when you bought things from this store you could get replacement parts now you cant. And some of their help have nasty attitudes. We didnt get away with that when I worked there 15 years ago. You treated the customer the way you wanted to be treated.

As a contractor and someone who makes almost daily visits to my local big box home stores, my experience today at this Home Depot was extraordinarily deplorable. The employees were remarkably unhelpful. I witnessed multiple employees on theirs phones texting, another young employee carrying his mask and another pair were too busy flirting with one another at the checkout to notice the multiple customers waiting to check out. After I had walked the store looking for an empty flat cart, I was told by one employee that I might find one in the parking lot. He was correct. I loaded up 30 - 80lb bags of concrete from 3 different broken pallets in the concrete aisle. One employee responded to my request for the location of a common item with, “I don’t know; someone else might know where that is.” If it wasn’t fast approaching the end of my work day and I had already taken the time to gather, load and push a 2400lb cart, I would have left and driven 5 miles to the closest Lowe’s. I could go on... Do better please.

Absolutely the worst staff I’ve ever dealt with. Rude. Disrespectful. Lack of care for customer service. I came in last Thursday and asked for apron flashing. I said “excuse me, could you tell me where this item is?” It was to a group of 5 employees who seemed sooooo disrupted by my request as I proceeded to show them on my phone the item from the HD website. One guy said we don’t carry it here, and another said it’s in that isle behind you as he pointed aimlessly toward a the exit of the store. They laughed and continued their conversation. Not ire what type time these people on but that ain’t it. Will be going to Lowe’s from now on. Been going to HD for years. Lost a valuable customer.

Went there for peat moss and they only had it in a bale. I wanted an 8 quart bag (or any smaller size) and there werent any other sizes than the bale, which is way too much than needed. I asked if they had any idea when they would get a shipment of smaller sizes bags, and was unable to get a definite answer. I shop at Home Depot frequently and Im usually very happy when I leave the store but this visit wasnt as successful as previous ones. Hopefully, they will get the right size soon!

Received delivery of my Rubbermaid Shed 7X7 on Saturday August 8th, received email notification that my shipment was out for delivery 11:30am. Around 12:30am I happen to hear a truck pulling up, I went outside to see a 24-28 foot truck driving off. As I entered my driveway I see my shed partially in my driveway & on my lawn. The shed was not wrapped properly and blocked a car in driveway. I called the Merriam, KS store, Paul & Jarred came out to my residence In their personal car and moved my shed to the requested area, these two guys were friendly and very professional. Paul & Jarred saved the day!!!😀
