This place is unbelievable! It’s been a decade or two since I had been on a bike. Not knowing much about bikes, I was able to spend some time at several local shops. At this point all I knew was that I wanted to support local. This shop stood out from the crowd with helpful advice and no serious pressure to sell. It’s like they wanted the shoe to fit for me and were going to accept nothing less. With the Covid delays, there wasn’t the proper fit on the shelf. They happily took my number and actually called it the next day after preparing a bike. Several other places offered the same and I haven’t heard from them weeks later. The new bike was a success after making back to the store. The price was more than fair and the service was exceptional. I enjoyed spending my time and money at this shop, highly recommend. Customer service is not dead here. Thank you

I gave 2 stars because the guys behind the counter were friendly and nice. Can’t say same thing for the guy who does the work on bikes. He was very rude and condescending without even knowing the problem that caused my flat tire. After dealing with goat head flats I decided to purchase the puncture resistance tires, tire liners, thick tubes and had slime put in. The gentleman who made the recommendation said that Boise, PD officers use all these on their bike patrol bikes so they do not get flats. So u can imagine my surprise to get a flat just a couple months after making this big purchase. However the flat was not from a goat head but sliced valve stem. They did all the work with the tires, tubes, tire liner and slime . One of the workers told me the tube was not put in correctly so the valve stem was at an angle and that cause it to be sliced. The bike mechanic said it was probably a goat head without even looking at the tire. When I explained it had a sliced valve stem he became angry and and shouted at me, ”well I don’t know without looking at the bike”. Exactly my sediments and that was why I mentioned the valve stem issue. They did not warranty the original work, and I have no idea if anything I paid for was even put inside the tires to prevent the flat issue. Either way sliced valve stem, because it was incorrectly installed or goat head that caused a flat, I should not have had to pay for a replacement tube n slime. If the tube was put in correctly It wouldn’t have been damaged. If I had the tire liners put in along with thick tube and slime, according to the person who sold me all that I wouldn’t have gotten a flat. Taking his advice that the PD bike patrol guys cannot get flats and they have same equipment on their bikes to avoid that from happening, makes me wonder if that was a true statement or just a sales pitch.This is my second time in the shop and my first experience wasn’t much better. When I purchased all the tire equipment they put the wrong tires on my bike and we not the ones I paid for. When I came to pick up the bike I noticed the error and they had to replace the wrong tires. With that again I have no idea if what was put in under the tires is what I paid for. I I won’t be a repeat customer and recommend don’t waste your money here.

When we decided to buy my husband a mountain we wanted to check out local shops first. This was the first place we came to. They greeted us and we’re nice but the gentleman who was helping us didn’t make us feel very welcomed. We explained to him we didn’t need a beginner bike, he continually told us they didn’t have beginner bikes and the cheapest bikes they had were around $1500 and if we were comfortable with that range. We never gave him a price range and even told him price isn’t an issues, and again told him we didn’t need a beginner bike. All he kept doing was mentioning the prices on the bikes as if we weren’t going to be able to afford one. After about 10 minutes we left and went to Trek in Boise instead. Got my husband the bike he wanted without any belittling and a helpful person who listened to what he wanted and needed.

Great Experience. I arrived and thought they were closed, but someone was there and let me in. They were able to find a long-lost gift certificate that I know I had (searching based on phone number / name lookups). They took my bike and did all the requested maintenance, of course, and it rides great. But, the exceptional customer service made me a happy customer.

Love these guys!! Best mechanics! Any time I bring my bikes in for work, they are professional, prompt and reasonably priced. I have been to a lot of bike shops all over the west, and these guys are some of my favorite.

I was looking for a basket for my Jamis bicycle and the customer service was great at Meridian Cycles. I found not only a basket but some other items that I needed for my daughters bikes as well. They took the time to show me how to attach the basket as well as the different options. Really appreciated that they sprayed my card with alcohol before giving it back and there was a clean pen for me to sign the receipt. Awesome section and service!!

The attention and care spent helping customers to make sure they are completely satisfied is fantastic. The whole team is welcoming and does a great job. I have zero reservations about 100% recommending these folks!

I went in the store today ready to buy a bike, but I was ignored and unappreciated. The female owner greeted people she knew by name at the front door and didnt acknowledge me as I walked in. A sales associate walked past me and helped a couple who came in after me. The female owner came inside, HUGGED a customer she knew who came in after me, and proceeded to chat with her. The small store was very busy. No CDC guidelines were followed. They didnt limit how many people entered. It was impossible to keep social distance. No one wore PPE. No one was disinfecting anything. I decided to leave because no one even said I will be with you in a moment. The male owner standing outside the front door doing nothing of importance mentioned to someone that he was the owner. I commented that no one even said hi to me. Instead of saying sorry how can I help you, he made a smug grin and proudly commented on how busy they were. I guess he was so busy he didnt need my money. Only regulars are appreciated there. I will never go back. I bought a bike from someone else today.

Best local bike shop! I do most of my own bike servicing, but when there’s something I don’t have the specialty tool for, or if I’m not comfortable with a particular job, these guys can always knock it out quickly and for a great price.

Took my Son in for his 13th Birthday and treated him awesome and gave great personal service. He got to pick out the bike of his choice and the service tech did a great job getting it set up and let him take a test ride before we bought it. Great staff!!! Awesome shop!!

This is my new favorite bike shop. These guys really go the extra mile. Had a tune-up done. My bike has never ridden better. Also, before a big ride, I placed a special order which was delayed ... the staff made every effort to ensure that I had everything I needed before my ride.

Terrible service! With Performance Bike closing their doors, we are looking for a local bike shop for sales and service. My wife called Meridian Cycles this morning to get some help in buying a puncture resistant tube/tire for her new to her bike. We were also hoping this might be a place to go to for service and sales in the future. The guy that answered the phone was gruff, grumpy, and acted like she was bothering him. He didnt offer any help or act like he cared in any way. This is one bike shop that wont be getting our business. Quick tip: Be kind.

These guys are committed to keeping you on your bicycle for sure! We ordered a 2020 Jamis Renegade in a 2020 Salsa Journeyman from these fine folks. After a couple hundred miles we took our bikes in for adjustments. Turns out, we had a damaged rear derailleur hanger on the Jamis. With a Summer full of bike riding plans, these guys stepped up and not only went on the hunt for this non-existing-yet part (duely due to the pandemic and the lack of production of a part for brand new bikes), they provided us with a bike (loan) to get us on the trail. And not just any bicycle, but a another Salsa Journeyman with tubeless tires. And to the shop folks: you are absolutely right. Those fatter tires were awesome... Especially on the Right-of-Way Trail. Thanks so much!!

I got my bike serviced here, full tune up. I took out my bike today it doesnt want to shift into the higher gears. Did you guys even test ride it after the full service. 😥 Disappointing

Meridian cycle is a VERY family friendly and honest shop. If you are just a recreational cyclist they are the place to go. They will show your reasonable priced equipment and give honest advice about repairs.Many of the shops in Boise do not want to talk to you unless you have a multi thousand dollar bike. Meridian cycle is a no pressure place. If you show up at the Pine & Main location to find it is closed no need to worry, they move a few blocks to the north in an old church.

I just dropped by out of curiosity. I met a nice young man, forgot his name, and he had the time to talk about general bike stuff. We all know we can get bike products cheaper online but personal attention is sometimes worth the extra bucks. I plan on shopping here now.

These guys are awesome! I was out on a ride with my two young kids (both toddlers) when my sons chain busted. We walked into the store and the attendant stopped what he was doing, pulled out his tools and fixed my sons bike for NO CHARGE!When my son returned to the bike doctor a few minutes later with a sucker to say thank you, this same attendant was sweet and encouraging, He made my son feel important rather than a silly little kid.THANK YOU!!

Wow! What a great staff! They took the time to make sure I got the right bike and then put everything aside to get me all set to ride.

Asked them to go through my Mountain Bike that was in need of some major repairs. They did the repairs and picked up the bike and it was extremely filthy...didnt clean any of the sprockets or even wipe the dust off the frame. Put almost $400 in parts and labor and they couldnt even bother cleaning the bike.

Great service, quality bikes and related equipment from people who know their products and love to share their knowledge. They found the right bike for my type of riding. Having fun with it.

Love this place for on my biking needs!

We brought our kids in with us to browse the store. We had never been in before and we were wanting to upgrade our son’s bike. We were greeted with a simple “how are you today” and nothing else. We were the only people in the store at the time. Not once were we asked if we had any questions or needed any help. We were willing to pay for a nice bike but the customer service was terrible. They stayed behind the counter and just acted like we weren’t there.

Friendly, fast, and affordale service. He was like a ninja with my tire tube replacement. They are in a neat old historic building that adds a simple charm to the experience.

Can’t speak highly enough of these guys. I’ve been doing business with them for quite a while now and I’ve never been treated like anything less than family. Everyone there seems to love what they do which makes for a very welcoming environment. I’m not in the greatest shape and was initially concerned about going to a specialty shop because they thought they would take one look at me and decide I wasn’t serious. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I actually brought a bike here from Seattle when I lived up there because I couldn’t find anyone there that I trusted even close to as much as Meridian Cycles. Had an older bike that we wanted to sell that needed brake repair. Figured we couldnt sell it for much as is. Stopped in at Meridian Cycles and talked to a VERY helpful gentleman at their repair counter who looked at my problems, told me how to do the repair myself, and sold me what I needed for $6. Went home, made the repair, and sold the bike for more than triple what we thought we could get.

The first guy I talked to was nice but not helpful, but the young bearded guy was not helpful what so ever. They acted like they were in a hurry and I was wasting there time. Also very condescending. I wont be doing any business with them anymore. I have had other bike shops take the time to help and show me a few thing. Just not this place

I inquired about a tire change, the guy on the phone was very helpful and professional! Since i was in town for business, i was on a time crunch to get my personal bike fixed. As soon as i walked through the door, he took the bike, told me what exactly was wrong and repaired it. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Whenever I come back to boise and need a repair, ill be sure to stop by this place. Just make sure you dont go in at peak hours. Also they have Semi parking in the rear (cab only) which is a plus!
