I worked with Mike C.and let me tell you, he was phenomenal and worked really hard to put me in the one vehicle I wanted. I love the truck I got and have had zero issues. A HUGE LESSON I HOPE OTHERS CAN LEARN FROM! Do not trust this dealership nor their mechanic. The 4Runner I purchased was sadly not taken care of even in the slightest. I thought I was in good hands, being a woman and deciding to give another woman dealer the benefit of the doubt not to take advantage of me. Especially after expressing how excited I was too have just moved back to Boise after graduating college and needing a safe and reliable car for when I start working and commuting up to Bogus Basin. I truly dont even know where to start. I was told the car would be detailed, yet spent over an hour wiping the entire interior down myself, using a whole container of wipes and pulling hair out from under the seats. After confronting the dealer on the issue, all she had to offer me were floor mats... which I also never received. Immediately after driving off the lot, my gas light turned on & I was unable to even get my gas tank open. According to the dealer, her mechanics were too busy to take a look until another two weeks and suggested I Google how to do it myself. Who sells a car with a broken gas cap? All of my fluids were low. The engine had mud all over it, so they must be taking in rally cars. The same day, I realized the stereo didnt even work. The stereo place she recommended to me quoted $300 just to replace with the most basic stereo option since the wiring was done so poorly. The stereo repairmen were so shocked at how poorly the battery mounts were placed and even went to a car parts store to replace them for me. They showed me how there were even two different kinds of screws used and that no legitimate mechanic would ever do that. Within the next couple of days, things just got worse. My headlights went out, which cost me $60 to replace. The car didnt even come with a roof rack (despite the original listing claiming otherwise - false advertising!) so I purchased one myself - keep in mind, a USED 3rd generation 4Runner rack costs no less than $200. Upon installation, the screws were so old and worn that they tore when I tried unscrewing them. The dealer claimed they didnt have the right size for my 4Runner, but I am now starting to think they just didnt want to deal with deteriorating screws since it is such a tedious job & took hours to remove them myself. After a couple more days, THE CAR IGNITION WOULDNT TURN OVER. I have had a couple possible diagnoses from mechanics saying it could either be the starter or the ignition switch or the starter - both cost over $200 each to replace. But unfortunately, have spent so much on repairs and registration (which cost triple what I was told it would cost) that I cant afford to do anything more to it. Despite being offered a discount on repairs through their mechanic, the broken AC system (also falsely advertised as working) would cost $700 to replace - they didnt even know it wasnt working which only makes them so much less trustworthy, but on top of that, told me their special dealer discount on parts would cost $400 for a new AC kit, yet I found one online brand new for $200 in under a minute. The dealer then suggested I order one and replace it myself. Not something even remotely doable for someone with no mechanical experience let alone not having access to all of the tools and supplies needed to do a job like that. I am truly blown away and devastated by how dishonest and untrustworthy this dealership is. Ive never even written a bad review for anything ever in my life. BUT THEY WONT EVEN RETURN MY TEXTS OR CALLS. Do more investigating than you would ever think to do before purchasing anything from this dealership and demand the basics (cleaning out the car? a working gas tank? AC in over 100 degree weather?) As they have not been compliant or willing to work with me on paying for these repairs AND EVEN FALSEY ADVERTISED THE MILEAGE on the original post, I have compiled all of my receipts, screenshots of the original posting, our texts, etc. that my lawyer is looking over and defending my Lemon Law rights. They should be ashamed.

The staff at IAI was extremely helpful and courteous. Mike helped me get in the car I wanted in about an hour, easily the best experience i have had buying a car. Would definitely recommend, also, the repair shop they are partners with will give you 25% off labor while you still own the vehicle purchased from them. Just an added bonus. Let me say first that I almost always refuse to look at anything being sold by a used car dealership. But when my fiancé literally spent months looking for the car he wanted, we had no choice. We found 2 Audi A5 Premium Plus S-line cars for sale within driving distance from our home in Oregon. The closest one was a dealership that gave us a negative experience, to say the least, so I was weary. From the moment we made contact with Mike at Idaho Auto Investments, our experience was awesome. The guys here went above and beyond for us, making sure we got there safely and didn’t leave without our car. They were there late waiting for us with a big red bow on the car when we got there (nice little touch!), and worked with us for days to finalize. The attention to detail and vehicle knowledge was incredible. I’d recommend this dealership to anyone, and am extremely happy with our purchase!! Update: I have had nothing but issues with this truck. Check engine light came on after 2 days. I took it into their shop for a $900 repair bill. 5 miles down the road I started having issues. Bad misfire developed, I didnt think Id make it home. Researching the engine code it looks like close to a $3000 repair bill. There is no way this issue developed overnight. I got screwed. Ill default on the loan, they can come get it.The only reason Im not giving this a one star is because the staff is friendly and the auto shop side is legit.I saw a listing on Facebook for a specific style of truck Ive been looking for. The price was good.I went to their website, looked at the details etc.I decided to fill out a credit application. The credit application form was really easy, filled it out on my phone.I did this Saturday evening. Monday morning I got a call from the dealer. I dont have the best credit, however by noon I had been approved for the loan.I scheduled a time to go look at the vehicle.The staff was very friendly and professional. The vehicle was as described. No hidden or covered up flaws.The paperwork process was smooth. I didnt have to wait for hours getting all the Is dotted and the Ts crossed. No games!! It was a very smooth straight forward process.When Im ready for my next vehicle I will check their inventory before I look anywhere else.I love that this business is owned by veterans and they give back to the community!

Bought a mini van here a few days ago, so far so good. I found the purchase experience to be fair and considerate, and the price to be very competitive. They explained their business model, and informed me of what services had been completed prior to the sale. They also provided a complete CarFax report. This is a used vehicle, with relatively high mileage for its age, so I am prepared to address any issues that may arise. This place is terrible. Already spent 1000.00 on a vehicle I bought in 1month. Who knows how much more I will have to in the future. And their mechanic Brady? Avoid. They definitely dont tell you whats wrong with the vehicle. Should have used my own mechanic. They were very responsive when I bought the vehicle, but right after I bought it and started having issues(like literally right away), they did not return my call or text. Buyer, definitely beware.

The owner of IAI is one of the kindest, most generous people Ive had the pleasure of meeting. My aunt and I broke down on the i-84 westbound offramp to Eagle Rd and no one was willing to stop and help us except Justin. He helped us push our car and called a towtruck on our behalf as well and drove us personally to his nearest mechanics shop where he had his entire team trying to help us get back on the road. Tried to sell the car I was buying out from under me. When I picked up the car found out they in fact did not change the oil, tune up or do the breaks. Charged $450. for spark plugs 3 days after I bought my car. I thought replacing spark plugs was part of a tune up. Refused to honor his word with a carfax, would not go back here again. Whatever you do pick from one of the dozens of other car lots on Fairview.

I just wanted to add to my previous review of how horrible this place is. It is still less than a year into my purchase and I have now put more into the car than I actually paid for it. if I could afford to sell it and buy a new one I would, but what is the point after I put so much money into it. They have absolutely no class. I reported them to the BBB and their response was that I was not a customer of theirs. I showed the BBB proof of purchase and then the had no response. They are the true epitome of dirty car salesman! Also if you look at their responses to negative feedback all they provide is an excuse or this isnt a paying customer. Blah blah blah. They done even want to try to fix what they screwed up!! Horrible!!Horrible experience!! I expected more from a local dealer, not to mention a vet owned business. I expected their mechanic to be honest about what was wrong with the car because they would fix it at a lower cost than anywhere else in town. He either lied or doesnt know what he is doing. They said the alignment needed to be fixed and they would pay for it. So I took it in to get it fixed from a third party and found out that there was much more than just the alignment wrong with it. Normally I would have had my own mechanic check it out before I purchased it but I was in need of a car that would get me to Seattle safely and I didnt much time to shop around. I told them this prior to buying my jeep from them. I asked them to be honest about what needed to be fixed, so I could get to Seattle okay. They said no problem but the more I found out after trying to get the alignment fixed the more I found out what was wrong with the car. It was not safe and needed close to $2000 put in it for me to get to Seattle safely and that still didnt fix everything. When I asked to speak with the owner, who I had never met, I was given the run around from their lead salesman and he never put me in touch or gave me contact info. I am thoroughly disgusted!!... Also their response that I am not a customer is complete SLANDER. Why would I write this if I wasnt a customer and can have my bank prove who they gave my loan to.

The worst place to buy a used vehicle do not recommend going here at all they will rip you off I bought a dodge ram 1500 4x4 and they told me the transmission was practically like new had put a lot of work into it. two days later the transmission is already slipping and it cant even go up a hill. they told me the truck was under warranty for three months on the transmission now they say they cant do anything to fix it keep playing games with me saying they will take care of me Im a valued customer and all wont even call me back I have to call them just a load of bullcrap. so whatever you do dont go with these guys they completely suck!

Ill get straight to the point on why Im putting 1 star. They had a car I was wanting to purchase but before I was willing to proceed with the sale, I wanted my personal mechanic to inspect the vehicle. They didnt me to take it to my mechanic myself because apparently customers have ripped them off in the past by stealing/swapping parts (which is understandable), so I attempted to find a compromise and they said they would call my mechanic themselves to schedule an appointment and take it in. A few days later I talked to my mechanic and they told me they never heard from them, the vehicle was still on their lot and they kept attempting to promote and sell the vehicle on craigslist(which is understandable as they are a business). But they missed out on my sale because they were unwilling to let my mechanic inspect it and I had to take their word and their own on site mechanics word.Another reason why I am giving 1 star is because the saleswoman/manager I was working working with was actively promoting fraud, saying the if something happened to the vehicle, I could purchase the warranty at that time the vehicle breaks down and wait a few weeks before trying to cash in on the warranty that is handled by an outside company. Also she was vaping at the desk while I was talking with her so that didnt help either.I am expecting the owner to reply not a customer, which in a way is true because they drove away my business even though I was wanting and willing to purchase a vehicle from them.

I bought a car from them that had a leaky valve cover gasket. I paid them to fix that but it leaked just as bad after the fix as it did before. I took the car to another mechanic who said they couldnt see any sign of anything having been done. I called IAI and told them it was still leaking and they said they would honor their warranty on that work. I took the car back in and it sat there for 3 MONTHS and still hadnt gotten into the shop. I had called many times and got the same answer over and over. Well have it done this week. That went on for 3 months before I told them I was coming to get the car and I wanted a refund. They promised me a full refund immediately and its been over a week since then and still no refund. Again, Ive called three times in the last week and always get were going to take care of that today. Same answer for the last 9 days. This saga isnt over yet but the review couldnt get any worse from here. This place is totally untrustworthy, unreliable, disorganized and dishonest. Ive bought plenty of used cars and they arent perfect, theyre used, but never experienced anything like this. If youre in the market stay as far away from this place as possible.Update: it has now been 3 weeks since my refund check was supposed to have been issued. Ive called 4 times and have been told that the check is either being issued that day or is in the mail each time. How can this place possibly have even a 2 1/2 star review?

They will just screw you over like they tried with me. So i came to the shop in the morning and they gave me $2100 as a trade in value for my car, but when i came two hours later they want to take my car for $1000!!! I just would never go back there ever again. And won’t recommend anyone to do so. It was the 2008 Jeep Liberty that its AC not working. And when i wanted to trade my car in their mechanic told me that my car needs an alternator so that my AC work, but ut turns out it just needed to be recharged, also said that my car has a coolan leak, when it was an old coolant spill. Bottom line don’t even think about trading or buying, just don’t deal with them if you don’t want to get screwed.

Phenomenol group of people at IAI! I bought my truck 3 years ago and these guys pulled every trick outta the hat to make sure myself and my children had the safe and dutiful truck we needed (on a nearly non exsistant budget and terrible credit) to accomplish everything wed need to: day in and day out (to include hauling our boats across washington)! That truck is part of our family! The guys at IAI have been there for us ever since day one, and we plan to make another trip over in the near future for our next purchase! Highly recommend!

This happened to a friend.This poor excuse of a dealership sold some friends John and his family a Toyota Prius a couple of weeks ago.They lied about the battery and water pump being replaced and a day after purchase, the head gasket blew from a faulty water pump. Then to top it off, they refused to make it right after realizing that their salesman was lying to their customers. I’m happy it didn’t happen to me, but the horrors of having to repair a car you just purchased is absurd.Another mechanic ended up repairing the car fortunately, but costed over $2500 to repair these jerks inadequate business practices.

This company had my truck for 4 months to repair the main computer that they burned out with the installation of their GPS wiring. They would never answer my phone calls unless I called from a number that didnt belong to me. Every time me or my husband went to idaho auto investments to check on the status of the truck they had pilled garbage and crates in the bed of my truck. When asked about it they claimed that was there when the truck showed up ( it was not and I have photographic evidence) finally they finished fixing my vehicle and when I went to pick it up the truck had been torn apart and around 10 gallons of oil had been dumped in the bed of the truck. The back seat had been completely torn out and the dash was still torn apart. They couldnt find my truck key for about 45 minutes until a lady remembered that she put it in the gas cap. They destroyed my property on a vehicle Im still paying for after it sat at their shop for 4 months. When confronted about it the guy just walked away from me and said I cant talk to him like that and he has no control over the shape of my vehicle then he refused to help find my truck key. This place and the employees have made me upset multiple times to the point of me breaking down and crying. I havent been treated that bad by my worse enemy.

Went to check out a Chrysler on their lot. I noticed the bumper looked odd because it had a Sheetrock screw holding it on so pushed on it a little to see if it was attached well or not. The bumper easily pushed in a big distance without much effort showing there was no support underneath. When the sales person saw this he knew we weren’t going to be interested and immediately got pissed and told us to leave. It was obvious that he knew it was a POS and was pissed we figured it out. He also gave us a wildly different story about the car than a different sales person did the day before. I would never buy from this place. Scammers to the core.

They never answer their phones, any of their phones. I am still waiting for my repair of my air conditioning leak, after paying $2100.00 a month and a half ago. The work that was done on my engine, after figuring out the problem, was a good job. Steve, Sean and Nick all are very nice, but 58 days and still the leak of Freon and breathing it in is too much. I was trying to give them the benefit of righting this problem. As far as wanting free service, not true, but when you pay for a job it should be fixed. Not to mention the mirror that was broken when finally picked it up on August 20th. I left my car with them on July 3rd.

I will say that Im not a customer first and foremost . However I did see a truck I was interested in . I called and a gentleman by the name of Ed answered. I told him I was looking at a truck they had and before I came in I was interested in their side of why they have such negative reviews . His response was we cant please everyone I told him that I understand . He responded with we are a good standing member of the BBB though . I told him I saw that they were accredited since 2/22/2017 . My question was however, how do you have the A + plus rating, when out of the 5 reviews in the last month, 4 were negative ? His response was, I dont know, I dont pay attention to that stuff. So if you dont pay attention ?, why tell me your a accredited member? Long story short . I was willing to give them a chance despite the negative reviews. After the brief phone conversation, I do believe all the negatives are honest experiences . Its a shame really, because I really wanted a truck on their lot .*update* As far as owners response below, the first thing I said was, I am not a customer. Secondly in regards to no record . I did come test drive a silver Nissan murrano and looked at a red Chevy extended cab which they did copy my license . I met Justin, and their mechanic. ed went on the test drive with me, his dad is into hot rods he told me . You were waiting for parts to repair the nissans rear hatch . You have a drag racing tree on the shelf in the front office where the keys are kept. In the same office you have a cooler in the corner . I could keep going to prove my point . Honesty goes along way. Any potential customer will see this and can confirm whats in your office in person . That is unless you redecorate now .* second update * Went to DRIVEN in Boise, was treated with great integrity and respect . They had carfax on every vehicle on the lot . Very honest and easy to work with . I highly recommend going down the road to them over this lot .

Due to my 15 year old daughter wanted this exact year & model for her first car. 2002 Jeep Liberty. I have bought and sold everything from Harleys to Classic Porsche - Ebay, Craigslist, Dealers - from all over the U.S. I have a 100% feedback on Ebay over a 10 year period. I rate this company a ZERO on a 1-10. I would go so far as to say, in my opinion, with the ad on the 2002 Jeep Liberty that I bought - they placed an ad that is fraud. the ad stated among other things - Engine was replaced with a 50K mile engine. The mechanic said 80-90K miles verbally. In the ad they described the car as Mint and stated every single possible item had been inspected by their in-house ASE Certified mechanic. They said it was showroom detailed. After discovering several large leak spots on my crystal clean garage floor after 1 night - I tried emailing and calling IAIs owner Justin Ulrich many times over a 5 day period. First I just wanted the name & contact info of the 3rd party warranty company as they included a 12 month/12K mile engine warranty. No response. Called left messages on their machine, talked to someone named Ed, talked to a young lady leaving addn messages - of course no email back, no call back! Took the car into Garys Auto on Cole (which has terrific reviews and rep in Boise over many many years) and now I have a laundry list of repairs needed including 1/2 dozen that are serious. Almost FIVE THOUSAND to make this car safe and decent. I paid $5200. So good folks of Boise ID - avoid this place at all costs. Of course they will come back and post defending themselves. It will not be honest folks. I will file with BBB and I will contact the Idaho Attorney Generals office Monday AM. As for Mr. Uhrich - see you in court Sir! Update - if this company wasnt so bad - it would be laughable. They posted their lame response within 30 minutes of my review. Shame on you!

I purchased a car here just after Christmas. When we purchased it the heater was not working they promised they would fix it. Finally after the FOURTH attempt the heater seemed to be in working order...not even a week later I realized the heater wasnt fixed when the car is in idle the heat gets cold. I came in and told Justin Id prefer to take it to another mechanic and use the $250 he told me and wrote in the contract he would give me if it still wasnt In, Working order. His response was, well it was working, which I couldnt believe he said. He was very rude after that and had me leave saying he wasnt discussing it any further and said to have Nissan call him. I called to talk with them about it again and Steve said he would call me back that day but no suprise he never did call me back and now they dont answer the phone. Ive given up they dont want to do whats right and thats their choice. Its $250 I didnt think it would be such a big deal. Still cant get the recipets for the work they say they completed 🤔Warning you now if they say they will do anything for you after you purchase the vechicle they will not call you to folllow up like they say they will, they wont do anything for you unless you are presistant. Steve will NOT call you back about your car like he says he will. I waited days for their mechanic to fix the heater and I had to call and check on the car I purchased, they NEVER called me. I waited several more days for it to be detailed. I wanted my old car back so bad! All of this was just a mess!!! I ordered a rim cap cover from Justin if I didnt call and ask about it I most likely would have never received it. Oh and if you think you are getting nice black rims, your not! They spray paint all their rims and it comes off in the car wash they dont tell you that. It was an awful experience and Ill never buy a used car again! I dont know if its really a Vet owned business and if it is that makes it even worse my brothers a Vet and hes an amazing intelligent man these guys are doing an awful job representing what a Vet is As well as what used car dealership is. Please be careful when buying from them or just dont buy from them thats probably the best decision.In response to the owner... you have provided me with no recipets at all thats not true! And you have not talked with Nissan nor have your tried to help me you have yet to return my phone calls. I have not owned the car for an entire month yet either. Your entire response is a lie thats really bad shame on you!**Buyers beware do your research and check out the Better Business Bureau you will see very similar reviews.

Bought an Audi A4. The car was supposed to have been serviced before we bought it. We have had to put in an additional 3k into and its still not fixed. What a mess!After their response below I went down there and they said they could not do anything for me...

WARNING: DONT EVER GO HERE!!!Most dishonest people and will screw you over every chance they get. They will deni all of complaints because they are THAT DISHONEST. Bought my car there and asked them straight to the mechanics face if the car leaked oil he said NO!. Few days later car was leaking oil.
