This company is running scam! They called me stating that 4 months ago they pumped 100 gallons of oil into my tank in error (this is not our oil company)- and now they are calling to collect payment OR come to my house and pump 100 gallons out of my tank. I didnt think this could possibly be a serious request, so I asked him why he wouldnt charge the driver (who made the mistake) for the oil. He stated that he was new and he would fire him if that would make me happy - why would that make me happy?!? Anyways, I told him that I will not be paying for their mistake, and he also cannot step onto my property - Good ole Jim threatened me with a lawsuit - can you imagine the nerve?!? This company seems like its running a scam to collect undue $ or take oil out of peoples tanks - beware!!!!

These guys Just installed a new oil burner for me, They absolutely killed it. Im so impressed with the install. CLEAN, NEAT WORK. Ive been doing Field work in the telecom industry for 10 years and I HIGHLY appreciate good work. You get what you pay for.

I purchased home heating oil from T-O when I lived in Old Saybrook. I was able to pre-buy and saved a bundle. Sadly they don’t deliver past Old Saybrook and Essex😞. I now live in Mystic.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr Jim Vitali while doing business. Need to tell you this - if we have more people like him, earth would be a much better place.

Very poor customer service, no compassion, just want the money. People just need to take the time and listen. ( How many months out of the year do they work?)

They replaced my central a.c. and my oil tank and did a great job. Brad and his service guys do great work. I highly recommend them.

BE WARNED - Fraudsters. They have a delivery charge infused into your bills that you dont know about or sometimes see. I actually called them to refund those charges and they recommended that I go start using another company. BBB and Dept of Consumer Protection needs to investigate their Oil services. In summary, you are robbed without knowing it. I am surprised that the Mayor of the City of Meriden has not looked into this matter.

Became a Tuxis-Ohrs Fuel customer due to the fact of Power Fuels selling out to them - not by choice but believe me it only took a year to wake up to their rudeness - very rude staff answering phones and extremely rude billing person JIM - wants you to pay for mistakes made by Tuxis-Ohrs employees (litterally) - make sure when you close your account with this company you get it in writing because they will want you to pay for the mistakes made by their employees (both on the phone and delivery employees) - would and will NEVER recommend this fuel company to anyone! They need customer service training (especially Jim) and they need to realize their customers are their bread and butter!

Great experience ;) even helped me with my central air conditioning free of charge :)) and gave me GREAT advice that was very helpful for being a first time home buyer.. potentially saving me lots of money!! Thank you thank you!!

I keep reading these reviews about how bad the service was. Ive been using Tunxis Ohrs for a few years now and found them to be excellent. Customer service and delivery service were both prompt and courteous. If you compare pricing around Tunxis Ohrs was well below everyone else.

BEWARE: Dishonest. Dishonorable. Unreachable if you have problems. Stay away from these people. They burnt me and after reading other reviews, that seems to be how they do business.

They came to fill my tank immediately after I sent in a request for oil with a credit in late September!!!

Gave a quote, did the work then doubled the price upon billing. On another occasion for furnace cleaning, went to check and cleaning tools running out of the furnace but service man sitting down reading a magazine. Unethical business practices and some of the meanest people I have ever dealt with. Not worth any stars.
