I called this place and they stated that they had the part. They asked if I wanted to pick the part up today or tomorrow. I said tomorrow. When I drove miles to get there they did not have the part and then stated that it was still on the car. After waiting literally three hours they could not find the part. Beware of this company. Do not do business there or spend your money in advance of actually seeing the part in front of your face. Complete waste of my time and money to drive so far.

Unlike so many others in the business, they had what they listed on car-part.com. They followed through and called me to confirm it was pulled before I drove out to the shop, promised me the part was in good shape and would clean up well and they were right. Hopefully Ill never need them again, but if I do, Ill definitely check their inventory.

I hate leaving negative ratings but just couldn’t resist on this one. Terrible customer service. Promised to ship part I paid for so many different times. Got hung up on by there service agent. Do not recommend doing business here. Save yourself the hassle!

Tried to get a glove box for my car for weeks. First it took 2 weeks for them to pull the wrong part, then 2 weeks for them to give no word. I called to see what was up and the response was “its not gonna happen” big waste of time. Go to chuck and eddies or toms foreign. These guys are hacks.

Was very impressed. They were completely honest. Told me what was wrong with part I was looking for. Didnt waste my time. I traveled 70 miles to get this part. They had a small holding yard where I picked up my part. All of the cars looked really clean. Will definitely be recommending them. Added to my parts yard list.

Didnt come through with the goods. The owner said he had a good set of tires. Drove down to Meriden only to be told the tires werent there...but could be delivered. Waited a week and was never contacted. When I called was told by Martin they could be delivered that afternoon. No delivery. After ANOTHER call was told they had two of the tires, the other two were at another place and could be delivered tomorrow. NO THANKS!

Told me my part would be ready in 1 day, i came a day later. Told them i live 1.5 hours away. Made me wait 2 hours before telling me that they actually don’t even have the part that I ordered a day prior. MASSIVE waste of time. Avoid at all costs.

This review wont let me put 0 stars but it should be. I called the day before to confirm that the engine was pulled and ready to be picked up and they said yes. I showed up the next day and they said to give them a few more hours to finish getting it ready. After that time passed they called to just tell me that the engine is no good. Dont waste your time, they lie just to get you to come down.Im editing this post after the owner responded to my original post. Telling me the engine was bad didnt go well because he lied about it being ready (the day before) and we found out at 11 am. He then told me to come back around 2pm. At 2pm, he then calls and says it is no good. There was only 1 visit to the shop at around 11 am which is the time he had promised. NOBODY showed up after being told the engine was bad. Obviously he is going to lie about all of this. Its fine though, I bought a better engine elsewhere. So just head to another yard.

A few weeks ago, I purchased an engine for my Mercedes C250 from them. I was able to get a decent price for it, and a 90 day warranty. I saw the car it came from and was assured that it wasnt hit in the front or a flood vihicle. Had the engine installed by JD Auto down the street. Wouldnt mind doing business with JC in the future. Lets just hope I dont need another engine.

Friendliest, most-welcoming auto parts recycling yard Ive ever been to. Their inventory is listed online but call for prices. I bought a low-miles diesel engine (complete) for my project truck at a competitive price. I recommend calling/walking-in early in the morning to get same-day service, but they were able to accommodate my late arrival anyway, and I picked up my engine within a few hours after they retrieved it from their offsite warehouse.

Thes guys are the best! Large inventory of engines and knowledgeable staff, not to mention great prices! Thats my first stop for all my used auto parts. A must visit!

Proceed with caution. After checking VIN on a supposedly low mile engine it turned out that mileage was at least double. Then they wanted to renegotiate price (to be clear: they wanted now even more, despite higher miles) because I already got cautious and rather wanted to install it myself than taking them up on their offer to install it for an additional 800 $. After some debate that that would not be fair because the engine price was agreed on BEFORE we talked about installation, there was all for sudden a new thing: we just found out the engine code does not match what you want, sorry no engine for you. Go figure. I guess you are happy that you found a clean way to back out of it. So why do you list it with this low mileage and that engine code to begin with ?This may be all just dumb luck, but if you cannot be there in person to verify yourself, then I would advise you to be cautious and not to trust the friendly words spoken - doublecheck and get things in writing (yup: despite asking for it several times, I got no confirmation that what I captured in email was correct either ... ) I am glad I was so persistent and double checked everything before going on a 3 hr drive to leave my car with them to find out afterwards that this is all dubious ....

Picked up a used engine and transmission for a Toyota product. Asked for them to be kept bolted together. When I got there, they were apart and clearly from 2 different cars. At that time the parts guy tells me the engine will need a new lower pan. Whatever thats a ten minute job. While they are getting the engine I hear a thud, It shows up and the plastic intake is broken off. I think they had it chained to it and that thud was the intake breaking and the engine falling. I then noticed the engine had been resealed. Apparently they had frankensteined 2 engines together to make this one. That would probably be ok if it hadnt turned out to be missing bolts, cross threaded and bolts that were never tightened in spots no one should have to check. If your gonna hack together engines and sell them at the same rate as everyone else at least let the person know. 2 Stars since technically the engine does run.

Needed some steel wheels for my mazda. He had 3 which matched and one which didnt. Told me to just bring the mis match back if I found a 4th else where, so I did. Super quick service and will use this yard again down the road.

This is probably the worst salvage yard in ct they have THE WORST customer service, sell broken parts, and hassle you about trying to get them warrantied. I got a used transmission and noticed it was making a lot of noise on the highway. When I tried to return it they told me it wasnt that bad and I had to drive it. The transmission broke less than a week later and now Ive had nothing but problems with trying to get my car fixed. Its not that they sold broken parts its that they treat the customers like garbage. Wouldnt evem recommend to my worst enemy. Will be calling BBB aswell...

I drove 2 hours one way to pick up transmission from them. They were trying to sell me damaged item I lost my time and money. When I spoke to them they never mention the damage but when I showed up at the shop it was a different story. Very unprofessional

I bought a engine for a 2002 altima 2.5l for $1600.00 with ONLY 52,000.00 miles and the thing was smoking like a bastard. The owner of this dump wouldnt even discout the motor to make up for my lost time or oil or coolant, because its part only. Yeah ok total joke. Wanna get screwed and do a job over this is the place to get your parts from. Ill never do business with this place at all. These guys are the worse period. Yeah I took a loss on a job I did but these guys dont stand behind nothing so if you like to feel like crap and as if your money stunk yeah this is a place to go to. Owner didnt even have the balls to talk to me or appologize for the screw up.

Very disappointed this is the second time we have ordered something from JC Recycling and we get a call back that the product is cracked or broken and they hang up on me !! Not a way to do or gain business at all..
