Homes direct and its employees made me and my wifes home purchase easy. They explained every step and made sure that we were positive about our selections. The office manager was swift with her follow up and went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend the company, the homes, and the experience.

Everyone at Homes Direct, Merced, was great to work with! Ray and Raul are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They made the order and purchase process much more smooth than we had feared. Sandra in the office answered countless questions and remained patient and professional no matter how dumb the question. Delivery and installation went exactly as predicted. Were very happy with the service provided by Homes Direct.

Initially, we had a good experience. We asked if the homes were well built and were told, yes. We chose a manufactured home because of the efficiency. We expected some quality issues, but were assured that any issues would be resolved. We asked for no flooring or trim, so we could do it ourselves. This was a wise move as the workmanship is horrible. If you dont know anything about home construction, you should learn. Buyer beware! We finally told Homes Direct not to send any more handymen to try to fix the house. It was too upsetting. Like other types of sales persons, your interests arent important after the check clears. All city and county building departments should pay more attention to the the shabby construction practices before approving permits.And it would be so easy to do it right!

Bought a home from them about a year ago .Has been a good experience overall . Sandra is helpful, always gets back to you about any questions/concerns about your new home and follows through on promises made by the company . I would recommend !

My husband, daughter and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to purchase a mobile home and have it placed near family in the Central Valley. We decided to work with Homes Direct and got paired up with the team in Merced, Ca. Our first in-person meeting went well largely in part due to the help given by Raul L. He is the most friendly and helpful person and is full of knowledge! Also of great help was the Office Manager Sandra. She was the keeper of the files and the bridge between the dealer and mortgage company. Both Raul and Sandra were great with communication and ALWAYS very helpful.I do have to mention that the road traveled to get the house did not come without a few bumps and curves, but we can confidently say that the Merced Homes Direct team took as best care of as as possible while trying to run an extremely busy and understaffed (in my opinion) location. They handled themselves and the situation as professionally as possible and for that they have gained our respect and future business!

I called before driving an hour to this location and told Raul that I wanted to sit down with someone and take some time to ask some questions and go through options. He told me that no appointment was necessary and to come on down. After less than 5 minutes of questions and after a large family walked in he said that he didnt have time for a lot of questions. I offered to go look through the models while he helped the family. When I was done and I wanted to see other options, he had said there were hundreds, but he just told me to look them up online and email him to get pricing. He said that they only give them catalogs no brochures, but didnt even let me look through the catalogs. I dont know if he didnt want to help me because I was there alone as a single woman or if he was just a lazy salesperson who didnt want to take the time to answer my questions. This is a very large purchase that I plan to pay cash for, but I wont be purchasing a home from here if this is how they treat you before you even sign the dotted line. If they are that busy than they should make appointments only so that they can take the time that each customer deserves.

FUTURE BUYER BEWARE!!!The 1 Star is just because the models are beautiful.... and I cant give 0. However, that is all the positive I have to say about my experience with Homes Direct Merced, CA thus far. The rest of my experience has been a joke. Im waiting on cameras to pop out and tell me that this is all for someones entertainment, like the old TV show Punkd. Everything from the permanent foundation set up being incomplete and incorrect to the lack of willingness to do what is part of the contract after the home has been delivered; tape, texture, and paint. The General Manager at Homes Direct Merced was our salesman. While initially he was helpful and responsive, as soon as the check cleared, ALL of the staff at Homes Direct Merced, CA treated me like a thorn in their side. When I asked for follow up and project schedules, after being promised Id be moving in to my home that next weekend, the female staff in the office told me I cant do this daily what should have been done, I promise I am working on getting you taken care of ASAP! Ive never purchased a manufactured home, and the staff acted like I should know all of the steps, without them telling me or walking me through them, and consistently blamed me as the customer for the hold ups on their end. The circular talk, gaslighting and overall manipulation would make anyone who doesnt document conversations go crazy. My home still isnt done as of January 26, 2019. Ive been in this process since I ordered the home June 2, 2018. Future Buyers Beware!!!!

Too expensive. Plus the heat and air are seperate, that is a ripoff.

I live in Paso Robles. We compared mobile homes in Paso, Nippomo, San Luis, Fresno and Bakersfield before driving to Homes Direct in Merced. Apparently makers like Champion offer exclusive models to distributers like Homes Direct although many are similar. We were reluctant to chose a model from Homes Direct because of the distance from Paso Robles. But the Yosemite which my wife loved was only available there. We have MHS just down the road but it was worth the trip.. We probably saved $15,000 on similar homes from the other distributors (Nippomo was a close second). You will have to find your own builder to make steps and pull your old home out as we did. But if you are willing you can save a lot of money. Ray was easy to work with and very responsive even on his days off. Had some problems and delays in getting building permits from the state office for Paso since it is in Riverside (not Sacramento) and it is even further from Merced. Champion came through with repairs and touch ups they promised.

No stars is what it should get only want money dont want to here any problems or fix them right would not recommend buying a home there

Not good at all. Made promises that were not kept and will not return phone calls to do walk thru repairs. Has been 5 months.
