Doctor visits...even if they are to my benefit and involve no needles...always make me jittery as a hamster in a cat ladys house. But from the moment I walked into Garrett Hearing Aid Center I started to relax. The waiting room was bright and attractive, but that alone wouldnt have soothed me. My first sight was the receptionist explaining something to an elderly client...they were both laughing, and the girl at the desk was making sure the patient understood her with gestures or by repeating her words in a different manner...patiently and without the veiled annoyance my husband often displays when I dont understand him. Granted she is a trained professional and he is not, but the sight unclenched a knot in my stomach I hadnt realized was there.The visit only got better when I met Dr. Moon. He was very professional without being distant; friendly and comfortable to talk to.After a quick hearing test, he laid out a selection of hearing aids, and we discussed not only insurance and price but the possibility of financing the out of pocket cost of the brand he recommended. Left to my own devices I would have chosen the cheaper model but he took time to explain the drawbacks of that choice. He honestly seemed concerned that I get not only the best deal but the best equipment I could possibly afford. And so I went with his choice, realizing that if I avoided Amazon for the rest of the year I could purchase something that might very well change my life.Finally, heading for home my husband asked about the hearing aids and (old lady here) I couldnt remember anything but the price. Dr. Moon had given me his card so without much hope I emailed him...I had been the last appointment on a Friday and I was sure I wouldnt hear back till Monday. But in 20 minutes I had my answer.π I was so impressed!!!If I could give this clinic 20 stars I would do so. I went to the Merced branch, but they also have a clinic in Los Banos. If you need hearing aids and want caring, competent people to assist you, this is the place.
Dr. Jung was excellent and staff is extremely professional. I had gone in w/o an appointment and Dr. took the time to see me and figured out the problem immediately. Iβve always been grateful to have Garret as my hearing aid choice. Anne
Saw Rachel today for a cleaning. Very friendly and professional. She serviced my hearing aids and, after checking with an instrument, informed me that itβs time to clean the wax out of my ears! Wonderful.
Jung Moon has been well above what one would call an excellent help in my case. He has not only helped me at the time of my visit; he actually realized he needed to talk louder than normal for me to hear so he ran a second set of test and adjusted my aids which literally changed my life. He remained in contact when I needed him via email and has taken the time to advice and help me get my hearing aids to work at their best. He is courteous, cordial, thorough and very accessible. He truly cares and does not seem to do it for the money: he appears to be very proud of what he does and that shows.Above excellent in all respects.Thank you always, Jung!

Jung Moon helps me to problem-solve every issue Ive had with my hearing aids and with my insurance. He knew when my insurance would support me getting my second pair of hearing aids that are less expensive but more updated and modern than my first pair. He used the video support when we needed to complete some micro adjustments that have really helped. The office is very clean and everyone is very conscious about germ spreading which makes me feel very safe visiting under the pandemic scenario. I recommend my family members to use this hearing aid center even though they live far away because of the ease of scheduling appointments and the high-quality service they provide. I couldnt recommend them any higher.

Dad, age 92, lost one hearing aid. We went in for a hearing test before ordering a new set. Mr. Moon is amazing. He worked so carefully with Dad. Listened to his jokes and created a atmosphere that had us all relaxed and comfortable. Two weeks later the aids came in. Back we went for fitting and hearing test. All went very well. One week later, back we went for a follow up. Mr. Moon jumped over the moon with his professionalism and ability. Making sure Dads aids fit and worked perfectly. He is a First Class Gentleman. I would recommend garret hearing aid to absolutely no one!! I went there to have my hearing aid sent off and fixed and I got it back not once not twice but three times damaged! Can I blame this on them alone, no I cant!! But when you are told that maybe its a user error for everything and every time something goes wrong it gets very frustrating! Then when you know something isnt right and they tell you that maybe there is something wrong with your brain and the way it hears or interprets things instead of listening to what the client has to say...well very unprofessional! Then store manager or owner whatever she maybe is hearing impaired herself and she takes out her hearing aids to listen for her self if something is wrong..hello you are hearing impaired yourself and you take out your hearing aids to see if the volume is correct. How can you tell its correct if your hearing impaired and you take your own hearing aids out to listen to mine..you cant because you do not have normal hearing! So I pointed that out to her and she got very defensive with me and had a very bad attitude and her face turned beat red and she stood up and told me to leave that I was no longer welcome in her office and to never come back! First you cant do a simple thing and send my hearing aid off and get it fixed then you insult me and say there is something wrong with my brain and the final blow you kick me out and tell me to never come back be cause I was straight forward and questioned your ability to make adjustments to my hearing aids since you are hearing impaired your self!!Then all I heard from her is that she isnt making anything off of me since she didnt sell me the hearing aids and that it cost her money every time she had to send my hearing aid back! Total b.s. Cause starkey covered all that and I spoke with them directly about this issue and I offered to pay for everything they did for me and they said it wasnt needed since my hearing aids were under warranty still!Just sounds like a greedy individual that is more worried about a dime instead of worrying about a persons quality of life!!!NEVER NEVER go to garret hearing aids!!The only person in there that took their time with me was very nice lady named Sandra!!! She was very helpful and respectful to me unlike the manager or owner of this store!!!Absolutely no professionalism with the store owner or manager or whatever she is!!!!!!
