I bought myself some Mens snow pants for the cold weather to come. I tried on some womens pants. My goodness they are made for skinny people. Myself not skinny but Im not heavy or over weight. But anyways wish I would have gotten the sales clerks name. She was very helpful and patient with me. I appreciate her kindness and support while searching for my snow pants. Theres that not many people out there in sales/customer service that are polite and caring anymore. Your professional service is very important to instore shoppers. Your appreciated.

Im from the Bay area so this story was a lot bigger than Im used to but the customer service was great they helped out with all My needs and the staff was really friendly the store was also really clean as well Will definitely come back when Im out here

Sales associates werent very helpful. I asked multiple times for a price check on a specific chair and they werent able to tell me. They kept saying like $100. I wanted to know the exact price and they did not tell me. Management should extend more training on customer service.

All big fives are pretty much the same, nothing to add to that. I usually only go for the good price on shoes, sometimes by a fishing lure or some ammo.

Bought my fishing license and equipment here. Staff was very nice and the items I bought seem to be good quality for the price.

Customer service in the back of the store is great..You have good and bad in the front.Sometimes they are great and some times they are huddled together gossiping or making fun of customers.Other then that..I recommend if,you are looking to get what you need.

The big 5 in merced is very nice and not jammed packed like other local outlets. Staff is friendly, instantly helpful and and acted sincere. Probaly the best big 5 in the area

This was my first and will be my last purchase from this store. I had a very bad experience with returns here. The store manager was unreasonable and irrational. He accepted the snow boots without a tag which I returned after a week but didn’t accept the gloves the same time because of the size issue and said it didn’t have a tag and they don’t process snow related stuff. When I asked him questions he said I am arguing and won’t even accept the return for the ones that had a tag on it. I don’t know if my questions triggered him or my appearance. I went to Atwater Big 5 store to see if they would accept it and process the refund. They did it in a jiffy as the condition was great and we hardly used it for an hour before we found the size was way off to keep it on for long. I recommend the Atwater store if you want to be treated respectfully. If you want to get a taste of how not to treat a customer please do try to return stuff here with this store Manager. I hope the central Customer Service team takes my feedback seriously and offers this Store Manager customer service training.

CROOKS.....The crew is HORRIBLE! A team member (Enriqe) asked if I needed help. After 1 question he all of a sudden walked away to do his own stuff. Which I thought was SUPPOSED to be the BUYING customer! Had to complain about it and never received an apology. They over charged me and my wife had to go back for the money.Next day it happened AGAIN! Same guy(Enriqe) that should be fired for having a attitude. Like if your not happy working here go to Mc Donalds to work. LAZY IS WHAT I SEE HERE AT THIS BIG 5. WHEN THIS STORE GETS SHUT DOWN ITS CAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO BE CHARGED EXTRA AND GET AN ATTITUDE WITH THEIR OVERCHARGED $500 PURCHASES. Not everyone was rude but again today I had to get $60 back, they over charged me today and yesterdays,that was $20. In 2 days they tried to STEAL $80 from me. Then I called for the manager and esmeradlo said she was the manger on the phone,yet when my wife got there the guy said hes the manager! So they lie and steal from their customers here.CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!

The licensed gun dealer lady, she totally seem like she is racist or just lacks customer service big time. I’ve been in out of this place lately because we were buying ammunition and a firearm, I can clearly tell she doesn’t want to help us, just by her big (SIGH) every time we ask a question. Just an word of advice to all employees in big 5, the faster you help a customer get what he or she needs done, the faster they’ll get out of your store, it’s as simple as that. I’m not even trying to make anyone life hard, I want to get out of your store just as fast as you guys want me out too. This is the last time we’ll be purchasing ammunition and a firearm from you guys.

Ive mostly had good experiences here. This last time they pulled the old bait & switch on me. I went in for certain tents that were on sale and were sold out of those specific ones so I looked around and found some other ones that were comparable. I grabbed 3 and took them up to the register and it turns out they were $10 more than the listed price.

My daughter loves this store, to buy all her athletic clothing for PE an Cheer. Its a one time shopping stop. If every your looking for anything Outdoors or Athletic or just need good walking shoes this is your place.

Just ran in for a fishing license they were kinda busy and she had trouble with the license so I held up the line a bit but considering she was the only one working the front I think she did a great job. Especially when she had people asking her questions and the machine wasnt cooperating to print the license and she never got frustrated kept her cool. Good job Big 5 employee now a days everyone seems so impatient and rushed but you didnt let them see you sweat. Yes I recommend them for you sporting needs.

They always have great prices, especially on shoes! Their sizes range from childrens to mens, up to 14 wide for mens. This is wonderful, because the larger sizes are difficult to find, with any selection. Im sure youre going to find what you want.

Came here to buy some hiking shoes. Selection was small, but I was able to find something. I purchased Hi-Tec hikers. There was a small area that wasnt seen correctly, so they gave me an extra 10% off. The guys in the shoe department were very helpful and patient. Overall, a good experience.

They have a bunch of great things but not enough for youth football

I got very poor customer service here, I cant think of a better way to explain the details. Modestly put: my advice to them is that business that comes from every customer is equal no matter how much one spends. As for me, ill scout for alternative places even though it is the nearest.
