Merchandise prices extremely higher than other retail stores specially on mexican products, health and safety measures not been enforce properly. In general prices over all higher need to improve their customer service to a friendlier environment, especially on the food court

I actually went to the food court (had to bring my food home because of covid-19). Had some delicious tacos and the best of bestest Agua Fresca. They have great variety of aguas frescas. I had the Jamaica with Freza. Incredible!!! Pricy, but Ive seen all tacos go up in price since the pandemic. I truly recommend the food court of Cardenas Markets. 👍👍💪💪

This store is great for grocery shopping. I am glad they opened because we needed a new, nearby store to shop at in Merced that has good food. The limes here are one of the best ones I have ever bought and the tortillas are very good. I love the jarritos mood packs from here as well. Amazing store

I appreciate the store cleanliness. Amid this pandemic, you can never be too clean. The store smelled clean & had a clean feeling to it. They have a large variety of meat & different cuts of meat, and i appreciate how fresh everything was, including fruits & veggies. They also have a fresh bread selection & sweet treats for whatever youre craving.

I had a wonderful experience here! They have the most amazing food for super cheap that will feed a entire family of 8 for $20!! See my pic! Everyone was friendly and the were quick. Bilingual (spanish & english) propane on the outside. Fresh flowers, Fresh cakes, beautiful produce beautifully displayed, fresh baked bread..From 8am -8pm theres a western union, money orders etc. There is a security guard the whole place is decorated like a pueblo in paintings. They rotisserie chicken right in front of you, make tacos and burritos right in front of you there is a place to eat which sits up to 80 people. You can reserve this spot for a party. In Particular Id like to thank Abraham, Jennifer and Nadia who had AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Friendly and polite and answered all my questions. I have made this the go to spot for cheap and quick family dinners and produce shopping I cant find elsewhere!!

This was my first time going there. I got the fruit salad with the sweet sauce on it. I also got the Tajin seasoning. I got the biggest one they had. It was refreshing especially on a hot day and so good.

They always take way to long to help in the meat department they need more people working there twice I had to wait over 15 mins to be helped and customers just keep accumulating

It’s amazing to shop here, butcher meats and and produce are cheap to buy and good quality, but I highly discourage eating at the food service area, took them several times to get my order right and even then the food was burnt, asked for al pastor but easily tastes like they mixed chorizo. Grocery 8/10; foodservice:3/10

I go there for the personal service, but Sundays its chaos, they need more staff on Sundays specially on the butcher area, also they need to have someone bringing the shopping carts back to the front of the store and cleaning them up before each use

Soooo.. Im me too Merced. No lie... been for ANYWHERE to eat. These times where everything is shut down, I want to eat some proper Mexican food. Even though this is a custom supermarket, you can tell the ladies cooking make it with heart. Now, Im not saying its the best Mexican food, but for the time being itll work. I wanted to take a picture of my fajitas tacos but I was so hungry and they looked so good that I took a bite and forgot about the picture.

They have most of everything one would need. Very impressive meat and seafood case. Also hot and ready to go take out food prepared to order. Some of the cashiers could be a bit more welcoming and friendly has been my only eyebrow raise when stopping to shop here.

They put out specials and are extremely slow to provide service I waited 1 hour with 4 people infront of me and this has been multiple times plus the food is bland rather go to an over priced taco truck which is faster more authentic and 10 times faster

Every time I have been to that store I have been stalked a followed by the security guard that works. There. I love the food there but I refuse to shop any where like that. He even went as far as to go outside & take a picture of my liscence plate. Before that he stood right at the line where he saw me pay for all of my things. Its sad & just plain wrong.

I really enjoyed myself. I just wished that I could have more time to shop and browse but, my granddaughter hates to go shopping with me because she says I take too long. Lol. I like to take my time and see whats new. I will be returning. The only thing is why are your shopping bags cost more than all the other super market? The other stores bags are $.10 each. I know its not much but, when you add them up, it does seem a little high especially when youre doing monthly shopping and your grocery list is long

Today I went Cardenas in Merced and I went to purchase carnitas and when I told I wanted 2 lbs of that type of food I saw the lady putting my food in a clear plastic bag I land that scared me by it’s telling that it was going to get me sick and it was not Secured clean to eat

I loved the fact that they have flowers!! Beautiful. Priced reasonably and I just cant help but boast about the stunning condition these flowers are. They will be my go to for flowers.

I dreaded the cost Im going into the store. But I needed two cans of Dennisons chili beans. I always hate going here because the prices are so high its amazing. The people are 100% Mexican in here. Nothing against them. I totally think they are being ripped off. I believe they are loyal and this keeps store owners taking advantage of them because they know the Mexicans will shop here. $2.99 for a can of Dennisons chili beans. Come on now, you all know thats outrageous. Sorry to say but what is wrong with you people? Why would you go here. In all of my experiences going to this store have been bad. Although the employees are pollite and curtious, the store is not an equal opportunity employer. Every employee I saw working there was Hispanic. They play nothing but Mexican music on the overhead speakers and the staff seems to have no interest in helping ( at least me anyway ) find what Im looking for. You can wonder up and down the isles for an hour without anyone asking if you need help finding something.Example of their prices: A five pound canned ham that cost around $13.00 everywhere else, cost almost $20.00 there.

Very poor customer service at the meet department. I wouldnt go back.They have a rule of getting in line for services but some people dont respect this rule and the workers dont even pay attention to this and they help customers cutting the line without asking if theyre in line or even acknowledging the other customers in line.When, I tried to tell the worker about this he got all defensive and when I asked to speak with the manager, I was first told that is was the young man who was ignoring us...then I was told that his sister was also the Manager, she was by me. I started telling her what happened but her attitude was not the attitude I expected so I told that I was not going to shop at their Store. She could care less and didnt say anything... I would not shop at this Store

Love the meat counter, great prices and I can get as much or as little as I want. Only problem was the butcher lady didnt speak English and I dont speak Spanish. But praise God I had my Spanish speaking friend with me. Prices out side of meat counter are a little high, but they have good sales.

I love Cardenas Market. Its one of my favorite stores to shop at. I get all my Mexican chilis, spices and carne asada. They also have a great variety of fruits and vegetables. Plus they always have sales on all the goodies that you use at home. To top it off the also have a great carneceria were you can purchase tacos and burritos too. The have a large assortment of tasty Mexican food. Try it youll like it.

OK nice big clean new store. Food court can be hit or miss. But tortillas are awesome. So you can can get them nice and warm. Bakery is awesome and so good. Great meat department. Fish section is great and very tasty. Asles are nice and wide. Store is well lit and great variety of different Hispanic choices of food products. Worth the trip!

I like going to the store sometimes to get certain groceries I cant get else where. Recently I noticed a lack of social distancing and other customers not wearing masks. Would like to see a change as I will be coming less often do to these concerns.

Excellent selection of food. Cardenas Market has: Mexican Restaurant, Mexican Bakery, fruit bar, fully staffed meat and seafood department, tortilla factory, tortilla chips factory also. One stop shopping. The only thing missing is a pharmacy. No worries, Rite Aid is next door!

I went to order a cake for my son’s birthday 2 days in advance. He saw one he like in display and we asked for them to make one like that 3 leches with custard. When I went to pick it up I noticed that the display one was gone to my surprise that’s the one I ended up with and no custard that I payed for. The cake taste horrible so dry my kids couldn’t even eat it. I called the store and they were so rude basically saying that they couldn’t do anything about it. I will never order cakes there again!!!!!

Today I went in to buy some carne picada to Cook dinner and the meat was disgusting. It looks like old Ranchera meat. Won’t buy meat from there again. I usually go in there buy some of the fresh juices, pan dulce and basic needs.

It was our first time shopping in this store an hour before closing. I gave it 5 star for the excellent customer service by Sal from the meat department. I can tell he was busy cleaning up but he was still very friendly and helpful when I needed help getting 6 gallons of water from the top shelf. Afterwards he continued to help us in the meat department as well and my mother left happy. She had bought shrimp, beef tripe, beef meat with bone in, and more beef meat that was on sale. Yes, we will be coming back to this store with clean aisles, fresh looking meats and nicely piled vegetables.

Called this store and the lady answering the phone answered with just a hello I had to ask if I was calling the store because she didnt sound professional at all. She said: yes, and didnt even add a how may a help you.She also hung up on me with out answering my question. Rude people! Luckily us costumers have choices and we can always go to a different place to buy our groceries.

You would expect that when a store posts items on sale for the week, they will actually have the products they advertise in stock for that week ... I went to this particular store in Merced... yesterday WED. 2/12/2020 ...the day their sales began... I arrived at 7:30 P.M. I traveled from a town away just to go to this store..They were out of stock of the beef that was on sale, they were out of celery, they were out of cucumbers, they were out of avocados...at 7:30 PM!!!!...and the staff on duty are zero help, and rude in particular the children working the meat department!!!!!! I dont see this store lasting very long, with this poor management, and poor staffing. Thank you for wasting my time, and gas on your false advertisement, that should have read, items may or may not be available!!!

Clean, big, nice people but pricey and i bought chicken breast, 12lbs then went home to put away and it smelled disgusting. It was bad meat. I called about three times right away but no answer. Called customer service first time no answer second time she just took down my number said someone would call but no one did till i called again.

If I could I would give this place 0. Its partially due to the employees they all seem to be very unhappy to be there and you can see it on their face. If you can really see it on their cashiers faces. . Working as a global district manager for a major retailer for over 11 years, I would have probably let go all of your cashiers and and store manager at this point. Suggest get self-checkout station because know one like talking to someone whom seem to be angry with every client that he/she is checkingout. ( No this not directed to anyone in particular). If youre not happy with your job it may be time to think of a career change and find something that makes you happy.

It was my first time going there today and was excited since my mother in law recommended I go. I bought a piece a bread from the bakery and there was a freakin hair in it as I bit it. I called the store to let them so they can be more careful and they gave me the shitiest attitude. Definitely do not recommend.

Purchased pre-packed meat from them and intended to use it the next day. Upon opening it, the meat did not have a good smell and appeared to be spoiled. The bakery, however, is tasty with lots of different options. Will only shop there for sweets from now on.

This place brought me back to going to carnecerias as a kid. They have everything. Im truly impressed.

Always have fresh everything!!! Tortillas warm from the oven, salsas, cheese...and all types of pan dulce...pastries.

Definitely would go again.. being a new store, it needs time to sift through its people.2nd visit - not impressed. dropped rating to 2 stars, was at 3. (hot food) - They got my order wrong because a few guys were conversating. Asked for a refund.., Ill make breakfast at home today. After paying at the register, an employee decided to stop my path because it was more important for her to get to the other side of a pallet. customer can wait, Im working... guessing thats what came to mind.
