My experience went very well, no hassles at all. Providing Locks to lock the truck for protection of items would be nice! Other than that, everything else was awesome! Thank you!😊

They arent the cheapest place to rent a van, and definitely kill your budget if you need to do any real miles. However, the girl at this store working the counter was above and beyond for friendly, professional customer service. If I was rating her, Id go 4 or 5 stars.Unfortunately, the company itself doesnt hold up her level of service. Ive rented several Uhauls now, and each time end up having to do my own minor repairs. Road service never shows up or even answers the logged issues. (Literally, had a van for a week and when turned back in, they still hadnt answered my complaint for a broken off FM Antenna that came from the shop as such. Had to drive the van for a week with a leaking hole in the roof and the antenna fastened down with packing tape. There has been no acknowledgement, apology, or refund of the evening I spent trying to get it addressed and unable to use the van. Nor have I been paid for the work Ive done to repair their equipment.) So there you have it. Uhaul, and apparently also, Ufix before Udrive.

3 words The Home Depot! Much more affordable and less hassle.

It was a little busy when I returned the equipment, in the evening, but other than that Im super pleased.

My experience with Uhaul was horrible. I secured my reservation with a credit card. The truck was not available at the pick up location. I was sent to another location to pick up a 20 ft truck. Uhaul could not find the keys to the truck. They offered a 15 ft truck which caused me to make an additional trip during my move. I incurred additional cost in mileage although no fault of my own I had to pick up from a location 15 miles from the initial location and the truck was not the size I requested. Customer service agents at the second location should be better trained. Customer service agent should not discuss their personal feelings about customers while other customers are present, very distasteful. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone.

Reserved the truck online the previous day; came to pick up truck, none available at my reservation time. Offered me to go 21 miles to pick up a truck and do a one way; never offered to credit account for going way out of my area. Moved my reservation to the next day (today). No dollies available, representative not pleasant nor friendly. My alternate driver noticed the miles on the truck did not match the miles on the slip. It was 4 miles over. When tried to bring to representative attention, he waited 6 minutes and just left. So i was charged 4 miles i did not use. Upon return the rep tried to say we returned the truck dirty. The truck was dirty already and engine wouldn’t start a couple of times. Just overall disappointing.

I returned the rental truck the next day that Sunday and they called and claimed that they didnt have it. I put the keys in the drop box and the staff claimed they couldnt find it but I turned it in yet they found it and said that they were going to view the security cameras from that date. They have not returned my call and theyre charging me over $550 !!! Im highly upset because the truck had been returned on the next day. Get your people in check.

Extremely easy to set up and great service from both employees. My phones location was not working, so I was unable to check in, but an employee helped me finish the process.

The worst experience after the fact!!!!! The person that assisted me didnt do the inspection before she handed me the keys told me that the truck needed an oil change because the dashboard was giving the oil change warning but that it was fine and they were going to change the oil in the morning. I asked her are you sure that we dont have to inspect the truck and she said NO. I put gas in the truck, back to where It was when I picked up the truck which was 1/4 of a tank and dropped the truck right after I put the gas in because the gas station is right across the street. I returned the truck at around 8:30-8:50 and the truck had to be back by 11:30 that same night. I get charged almost $40 for gas that I already put in the truck! There store was already closed and there was no one there. This is unacceptable.

No sense of urgency with the employees. They are on their phones more than engaging with customers

These people have no idea what they are doing or how to do it. I recommend you make the trip to the location at Mendenall. They make it so much easier there.(Mendenall)

I hate having to come here for my moving needs. They do NOT have good service. I reserved a truck 10 days before pick up and when I went to get it, they didnt have one available for me. They ended up giving me someone elses reserved truck. Every employee here acted as if they didnt know what the hell they were doing. Sad!

Complaint towards location on Lamar Ave. I booked a reservation with a rep he informed me they had the truck I needed and it would be available Saturday May 26, 2018 at 9:30am on Saturday I arrived it took the rep an hour to get to me to only tell me they do not have my truck available. I then asked why would a rep book with me knowing he did not have the equipment available. They could not answer only stating they are unsure why people have been overbook and their next available will be tomorrow Sunday May 27, 2018. I get their at the scheduled time at 9:30am customers were already their stating they had been waiting for an hour. Im finally able to speak with rep he States they do not have my truck available again. At this point I am livid. So he states I can go to the location on Mendenhall. So I am leaving the Lamar location to travel to the Mendenhall location. While driving a rep calls me to tell me to drive to the Summer location. I am livid yet again wasting my gas driving from location to location. I get to the Summer location the people are nice and everything goes smoothly. Until I bring the equipment back to the location I was suppose to bring it to which was the Lamar location. The rep tells me I need to drive to the Summer location to take it back. I am longer livid but ready to call corporate at this point. Then I requested to pay cash they charged my card and only offered $50. I will never use Uhaul on Lamar again. They were the source of the problem and did not resolve the issue.

I am not sure what happened but my review didnt show up here. I guess it is on the actual uhaul website. Anyway, I rented a truck on Saturday, September 1, 2018. The staff was amazing! The manager switched my reservation from Shelby Drive to Lamar prior to Saturday morning. I think this was on Thursday morning. The store was packed when I arrived Saturday morning but the employees remained calm and professional. When I returned my truck, Jessie Tharpe checked me in. It seemed to be 200 degrees outside and he was sweating profusely but maintained a smile and welcoming spirit. This young man is very professional and seems very knowledgeable of his job duties. The young lady checking me in was very professional and knowledgeable as well. The entire staff seemed to be a well-performing team and great assets to Uhaul. I dont know what Mr. Tharpes position is with the company but I can honestly see him moving up the corporate ladder!! Great job Lamar/Semmes location!! I would rate you 99 stars but it wont allow me to do that.

They dont seem to talk to the call center, or the call center does not tell them what to do in a timely manner. Great people but I wouldnt recommend them for UBox or hitch installs.
