Awesome customer service the minute you walk through the doors from people who have expertise in any area you are interested in. Went to a big box store needing to purchase only 8 screws and was told they only sold in large boxes that would cost me $32. Outrageous for a DIY’er and waste of $$. The gentleman at the store suggested Stewart Brothers and he was so right! They had someone assist me and I only paid .24 per screw! Bought all the herbs and tomato plants I needed for my garden while there too! Paint is highest quality with expert who is qualified to truly advise! I’m a customer for life!!

Stewart brothers has a great selection of just about everything. The nuts and bolts section is better than the big stores! I like the friendly service and mom and pop feel to the store. Well worth the visit

TL;DRUse the Do It CenterI have old, rusted bolts in my dining room chairs. And since I’m not Jeff Bezos, I chose to fix them as best as I can, rather than tossing them and buying new ones.Now, I could have gone to an Orange or Blue box store to find these screws, but I’m sure you know how hard it is to find someone who knows exactly what you’re looking for. Not the case here!I spent about five minutes trying to find the screws and washers I needed at the Do-It center, but I couldn’t make heads or tails. I went to the front, asked for some assistance, and in as much time, one of these fine people helped me find the things I needed.Now, it is paramount that I inform you that the gentleman who helped me encouraged me to buy a box of the washers I required, since buying a box would be cheaper than buying them piece meal. I needed 40; the box’s contents? 100! He tried to save me money at a cost to the company. I like that.Below are pictures of the old bolts compared to the new ones, including a shot of the chair with some already installed.

Id like to give them a better rating and maybe I caught them on a bad day but their staff was embarrassingly unknowledgeable on their products and tools in general. They werent familiar with some basic tools I was looking for nor could they show me the correct area of their store to look for them. I hope it was just a bad day or new employee.

In a big box store you go in and usually have no interaction with employees. Not so here. Staff is always eager to help and also to leave you alone if that is what you want. Lots of unique items and services are offered

We went to get a re-keyed cylinder for our security door and they took care of us in less than 20 minutes, I totally recommend this store, they have great customer service.

If you want to get to know your neighbors and have a great small business experience this is the place. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. There is a great selection of hardware items from a hands down unbeatable select of nuts, bolts,and fasteners to a paint department that rivals the big stores. Tools selection is great as well as a garden department that has most everything covered. This place has its limits but it is great to support the family owned business that is still around.

This Stewart Brothers Hardware store was a pleasant surprise for me. Regular plumbing department at home improvement store usually would have many dozens of different size and shape of connectors/reducers/couplings/adapters and other small nuts, screws and washers...etc. So, long story short, the plumbing department at Stewart Brothers is a great example of very well organized store. Everything was on its appropriate shelve or in its appropriate container. It helps you to save your time. I do recommend this store to other contractors!

This is the first time have come to the Ace as we just moved to Memphis. I love this place the moment I walked in man that helped me was so friendly. I wanted Some patio chairs that were not there because it’s end of season. Yet he took the time to look and see if they hand any in stock and then turned me over to a wonderful lady that help me order them. I wish I had there names so I could give them the recognition they deserve. I have always loved Ace way or Lowe’s and am so happy to have a great placed to come when I need to do any home stuff.

My wife is painting cabinets in our house and needed some sound advice on paint, after being told basically go find it yourself at Lowes we decided to try and catch them 15 minutes before closing tonight. Needless to say the wife is thrilled, she got some great advice from two helpful and knowledgeable gentleman and they gave us a discount on the paint and were more than happy to help and not rush us out the door. I have been to the small engine shop 3 times in the past 5 days and it has been closed every time. One time the guy went home early, another he was on break, and one time it was just locked. I would save yourself a headache and look somewhere else for small engine repair needs.
