The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice selection of vinyl records. Picked up nine new records, to add to my collection. This is our first time on Beale street and I’m glad we made this our first stop. Malcolm and Smokey were great to talk to and gave us some good pointers on where to go and what to see while we’re here. I would definitely come back to this store, every time I’m in Memphis! Great selection of vinyl and a great staff

They have friendly staff but you would think a $27 shirt would last more than one day before ripping. This is the only souvenir from my week long trip and its already falling apart on the drive home.

DON’T BUY YOUR T-SHIRTS OR SOUVENIRS HERE! Bought a t-shirt tried it on and the large fit like a muscle shirt. Drove 57 miles round trip to exchange the t-shirt it was in their bag with the receipt. The ignorant lady wanted to argue from “jump street”. First, she asked if I had worn the shirt …….no ma’’am I tried it on. Then she complained that it was wrinkled. Ah yeah it had been in a plastic bag in the car in the heat.Long story short she refused to exchange the large for an XL. She said “I could come back and see the General Manager…..another 57 mile round trip. Instead I disputed the charge with my credit card company ……..AND WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING THERE AGAIN……and I will NEVER take any of my many relatives that come to town to Memphis Music EVER!!! Between me, my niece, and her daughter we spent over $100 in this ridiculous store.

They had a great selection of music. Their soul, blues, r&b, and classic rock are the best in Memphis!

Great Memphis gift shop, especially if you want a t-shirt. The ladies I encountered here were very friendly and helpful, and made the visit pleasant. I wasn’t looking for music, but they had what looked like a great selection of music to browse for purchase. This place is worth a stop if you are walking Beale Street.

This place is a must visit if you hit up Beale street. This place is my favorite.

On a night out on Beale Street we went in here just looking around and the staff was so welcoming! We were thinking of buying shot glasses and said we’d check out some other stores first. Although there was one in there my heart was set on! We went to Tater Reds and they were beyond rude. Tried a few other gift shops but Memphis Music had the best atmosphere and customer service. The employees were funny and friendly, and even told some jokes! I finally got my shot glass and I couldn’t be happier!! Awesome job!

Memphis Music at 149 Beale Street is the place to go for Records,Tapes, Souvenirs and more. The Owner/Staff are friendly and knowledgeable regarding everything Memphis...Everything Beale Street. Love this gift shop! Prices are fair and I found the perfect magnet for my collection and a cool shirt! We also found magnets with my boyfriends daughters hard to find names. Staff was very nice, shop was clean and full of cool merchandise.

Memphis Music pretty much says it all - all the tunes and all the art, just a short walk down Beale from B.B Kings Blues Club. Staff know their product - like the Robert Johnson collection that contains 2 tunes later redone by The Rolling Stones. Memphis Music is a nice shopping experience - no push - but fountains of help whenever you ask for it.

This store was incredible!!! I couldve stayed in there all day just singing and talking to the employees. The vibe was awesome!!

They had a great selection of quality t-shirts here! The material is super comfortable, not the cheap material you usually find elsewhere. They have a huge selection of records and a lot of souvenirs. The service was warm and welcoming. Overall, its a great little shop!

Awesome place to buy music! After listening to the wonderful jazz and blues music at Beale Street and not knowing what I liked, I trusted the owner to pick something for me. That record is one of my favorites, the great Pinetop Perkins.

Very public friendly. I would give it five stars but can never find everything Im looking for. I always manage to find a few things I want and always leave satisfied with my purchases.

Nice little shop with some 45rpm gems

Theres a lot in there considering how small it is. Definitely enjoyed looking around and it wasnt hard to find something to take home.
