The small marketplace, right on the heart of the downtown area. My visiting time was bad. It was late in night, so the deli was closed. But they have a tiny bit of everything in that shop. Starting from frozen food to laundry items, fresh vegetables to boxed meals. The worst part is they have a terrible smell inside! I felt almost breathless because of that strong bad smell. Okay, I know that it’s not ‘Whole Foods’, but still I feel they must clean the place a bit. I might return once for the deli experience, but the readymade lunch boxes and stuff was very basic.

I’ve never been a huge curry guy, but the curry chicken sandwich on naan bread lasted about 45 seconds on my plate. DELISH. Smoothies are good too if that’s your thing. Make sure to check this place out for lunch.

Really good Americano...

I am visiting Memphis from the Chicago area and looking for a healthy smoothie. Me and my husband went to City Market and got 2 juices and 2 smoothies for our kids. All delicious and all made with fresh, real fruits and vegetables.I noticed how good the lunches looked and we stopped back for lunch. Fresh pasta with yellow and green zucchini and marinara with parmesan. My boys got paninis with Boars Head meet, they were delicious!

Day 2 ...different location same post poor customer service...when you are overly price with mediocre food...your customer service should be great...my last time

The manager/owner was very helpful. Showed me around the store and what they offer. Great place to get some fresh produce in downtown.Great downtown old fashioned corner store.

Just went to City Market downtownBought 2 bags of small Cheetos and popcornWhen I got home I saw they had expired 05/05/2020Expiration dates on these are usually a long timeso they had to be on shelf for a great whileI will definitely check dates from now onIt should be up to the store to do this

I pretty much get breakfast biscuits from there every morning. Cool little market downtown. Has what you would need for a good lunch.

Hoping the owner will see this and actually do something about the issue: The card reader kept denying my card and the cashier was unnecessarily rude and escalated things. She didnt feel like ringing me up again and got a total that was almost $2 higher that what was originally totaled and then got upset when I confronted her about that too. I went across the street to Jimmy Johns and got/ PAID for my food within 10 minutes using the same card. I love City Market and was going 3+ times a week for a while but Im not going to keep spending money someplace that cant even handle small issues without blaming/ being rude to ppl.

They sell the same items but they didnt have the fruit I want it I want some mangoes or some cherries all they had was pineapples and strawberries and Mediterranean oranges. I guess the season is out for cherries of course it is. But still yet everything was great.

This place is has lots of specialty foods, and juice cleansers for the health conscious, but it is a small market as well that had fresh vegetables and specialty sauces. Not to mention pre-packaged salads made there for the person(s) on the go. Dont forget your beer and cigarettes or even tortillas while you are there.The staff are always friendly and willing to help you get what you need.

City market is our go-to when were downtown for a tasty quick lunch or a few essentials. part convenience store, part deli - you will find all sorts of options for a quick bite or to stock up on supplies. the indian curries on offer are quite tasty and easy to miss if you dont look!

We were in Memphis for a week during the International Blues Completion and found City Market our first day and so grateful we did. Visited everyday for the very moderately priced fresh juice to keep us healthy and assorted groceries. The store was a lifesaver and the staff were all so wonderful. Thank you City Market for your wonderful store.

A small literally corner store near one commerce square downtown. The store is small, but well stocked, having a wide range of products.Even the cheaper two liter name brand drinks such as Fanta are available.The store doesnt have an ATM but are literally one block or less from four bank based.The variable closing times area hassle, but are current in Maps.

I was expecting a little more variety in the grocery part of the store, but what they did offer was good quality. They offered a nice selection of prepared foods and a deli, as well as lots of different exotic snacks. If youre going for a real stock up trip, this isnt the place. Parking is also on the street at metered parking, so its not the most convenient.

The hot line is pretty good but some of the meats are too well done . The produce and variety of organic and fresh foods are great. They accept most cards including ebt.

Handy in a pinch for our AirBnB stay in Memphis. We were able to get food to cook breakfast here. It is a little pricy.

They are right next to my work and i can know that there will be a wholesome lunch to look forward to. The price might be more but its better quality and ingredients going into the products.

Nice store. While the selection is limited and a little pricy, it is a great location for travelers staying in the multiple hotels in the area.

I didnt like the attitudes of the employees and ended up just walking out. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes with no other customers waiting to be served and none of the employees ever acknowledged I was there. Even when I walked in and spoke no one said a word. I never go back.

This is a great place to have downtown for those moments when you just need to grab a coffee, smoothie, or a bag of chips. However, it is QUITE expensive relative to other grocers in the area.
