I had an appointment yesterday at 2:30. I showed up and was told they could look at my car, but it wasnt going to be that day, that they were behind. They could have easily called and let me know that before I drove down there. As my car was not reliable at the moment I asked for a loaner car, but they were out. I did not feel safe driving my car back home and back again, so I had to pay for a rental car. They did manage to diagnose the car the next day and the fix was cheaper than I thought it would be, so there is some good there that they didnt try and sell something I didnt need.

Decent dealership to purchase a car at, attached to a Hyundai dealership. Purchased a vehicle here and the process was fairly easy going and they tried to work with me. Johnny Pleasant helped with the purchase of my vehicle, nice guy, good at what he does. Would buy a car here again if I was in the market for one. This is the better Memphis Mazda dealership, the other one is not worth you time.I hope they repave their lot though, its getting a little rough.

Gossett Mazda Service is the best service department I have ever dealt with & I have taken my vehicles to many over the years. Pedro, my service manager, is very personable. He & my mechanic, Juan, let me know if I need any work done that I may have not noticed that needs to be addressed. On the other hand, they will let me know if all is fine & nothing needs to be repaired. I totally trust their knowledge & concern for my Mazda 6s reliability & performance. I would not have my vehicle serviced anywhere else except Gossett Mazda.

I was dreading on going in to try my chances on a new (used) car because I do not like the pushy, hawk-like salesmen. I was relieved to see that sales manager Levon J. was not like that at all. He was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable of the product and didnt just read a manual or made up facts as we went along or breathe down my neck about a possible purchase. He really made the car buying experience comfortable for me & ultimately the reason why I an now the proud owner of a new 2015 Mazda 6. I would definitely recommend Gossett Mazda and Levon J. to anyone who is in the market for a new vehicle.

My experience here was horrible. I was looking to purchase a car that day and had a certain price point in mind which the salesman knew of. I feel I knew more about the vehicle than the salesman did. Once I chose a vehicle it was time to talk about money. When we got in the office the salesman then told me the price of the car was $3000 more than what was discussed on the lot. It seem as if he was attempting to play games and trick me with run around gibberish. He mentioned that they all have a script that they are trained to speak from and theyre taught to be dishonest. Negotiations got worse once the arrogant, condescending, jerk of a finance manager came in! I will NEVER EVER buy a car from any Gossett dealership. I would hope this review deters anyone from having an experience like mine.P.S. I purchased a car same day from another dealership and Im thoroughly pleased.

Myself or my family has patronized the Mazda location on Covington Pike since 1987. I have always had a good experience there. I am concerned that they are missing out on opportunities with the delays to upgrading the facilities. Anyone who thinks that Dealer Service Centers are a den of thieves has never been to the Gossett Mazda Service Center at Pleasant View & Covington Pike. Instead of a cold, unfriendly place that gives you a number, its atmosphere is more like a small town barbershop where everybody knows each other, and you have a warm feeling of being welcomed. But what really makes it work are the 3 things they always excel in: customer service, quality of work, and uncommon honesty. Gary, my service rep, has my Mazda B-3000 truck running as good today as it did almost 20 years ago when first I drove it off the lot.As for the honesty, once my radiator had sprung a bad leak. It was about 15 years old and when I drove it into their garage antifreeze was already on the floor underneath it after being there only a minute or two. Gary said they’d check it out, but after 15 years chances were I needed a new radiator. He gave me a price quote, and I gave him the OK to go ahead and do the job.A couple of hours later at work I get a call from Gary and he tells me the problem was different from what they had first thought. I braced myself for the worst when he says the radiator is fine; it’s just the radiator cap that was bad, and once the engine got heated up it was spewing out coolant everywhere. He then told me it was something like $1.79 for a new cap! That was it, and no labor charge either!I wonder . . . how many repair shops would have let such a job slip away even after the customer had already signed off on the project? But by taking the honest road they are actually doing more business in the long run because such honesty results in intense customer loyalty - and that results in recommending other friends and acquaintances to the shop, which I have done several times. When my wife goes in by herself she gets the exact same treatment too, and she drives an old Chevrolet! I’ve been going there for almost 20 years, and if you make just one visit yourself, and also ask for Gary, you’ll see why!

I went to purchase a used vehicle of the Gosset Mazda lot yesterday 6/1/19. I knew going into this purchase that my credit was lesw than stellar, the sales person Blake was great but I feel the lots policy of take all your info and making you wait nearly an hour before even letting you know cost of the vehicle is ridiculous. I toughed it out because, I really wanted the truck. The finance manager comes out to tell me it would be easier to get a new truck because of new car incentives. COOL I thought! Another hour goes by. With more of the joking & playing as if there was some sort of childish game being played. Needless to say I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOT FOR ANYTHING!🤬

Levon is the definition of sleazy sales person trying to rip you off. I went in looking at a Mazda and narrowed down my choices to a Mazda or a Honda. After test driving, we dicuss the numbers and he asks what Im looking at and I show him KBB. Not only does he see the MSRP of KBB but he offers me HIGHER than KBB and tells me that the best he can do. I ask how is he charging more than MRSP. He takes me outside to a paper on the door. He says hes charging LESS than MSRP and the shipping isnt included in the pricing. Wait what? What people dont understand is you dont pay shipping. The car is ALREADY THERE. That is like going to Walmart and paying shipping when youre at the checkout line. The product is there already, the dealership already paid it. When I priced a car at Honda they didnt mention shipping. When I priced a car at Toyota, they dont do shipping cost. This horrible rip off sales person gives me a smirk when I point that out and he tells me this is the lowest he could ever go. I leave and continue shopping. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW, this HORRIBLE saleperson calls me 4 days later telling me he is able to offer the car lower to me. Im sorry, but your behavior is trash at its finest. I ended up purchasing a speced out a new Toyota Camry where they treated me with respect. IGNORE THIS LOCATIONEDIT:All that and not a single apology. Demonstration of this place.-You brought KBB for select model this is where everything starts off incorrect. I didnt show the select. He told me the car was preferred model, so I showed him the KBB for preferred when we were in his office.-we did in fact match the discount that you showed on KBB on the preferred model wait a second, I thought you said I showed you the select? So which is it? Again, inconsistent with your story.Im going to stop ripping this answer apart, too many inconsistency.Their response:Mr. Pizarro, I spoke to our manager and he pulled your paperwork to make sure he understood what transpired during your visit in May. The KBB that you brought to the dealership was for a Mazda3 ‘Select’ model and the vehicle that you preferred during your visit was a Mazda3 ‘Preferred’ Model-I think this is where the miscommunication began. The Preferred model has the additional equipment that you preferred to purchase and had a higher MSRP. We did in fact match the discount that you showed on the KBB on the Preferred Model. Our labels on the vehicles for the Mazda you are referring to shows a TOTAL MSRP (which states the upcharge for the Snowflake Paint Charge plus Delivery Process and Handling Fee) Our Salesperson may not have explained that to you in the correct way. After reviewing our records, your salesperson did call you the next day after speaking to our manager to hopefully help get you in the vehicle you requested. I hope we can earn your business in the future and congratulations on your new Camry.

Unprofessional team of workers. The service adviser Antwone Boone had me waiting for an hour and a half and went to lunch without telling me. Thinking the service manager would help, he later allowed for Boone to verbally use profanity towards me. Manager nor Boone ever apologized for this. During that time, I was upset that they would not release my car until I paid a high bill that manager David Montgomery said I would NOT have to pay. He was caught in his lie and said he made me aware of fee three weeks ago when infact, I brought my car there only one week before. They will scam you for fees without telling you upfront. This department made major repairs to my car and less than two weeks later I am back at the shop with issues that will cost me thousands to repair, they screwed up my car and will not fix it nor guarantee the work. I am very concerned for the safety and integrity of this establishment. They obviously see women come into their shop and take advantage of them. This is not an honest service department.

I have had a very, very bad experience with Gossett Mazda. I’ve purchase my Mazda 3 and the price was around $16,000 total and end up paying 29,000 was not informed about the high finance charges. The finance manager now was my salesman at the time sign off on all the paperwork and when I thought I was through paying I get all this information about my car being repossessed if I didn’t make the payments so of course I made them and trying to find out who can help me solve this has been such a big hassle when you need your transportation. Mind you they said I had a warranty never could get my car service so I had to pay for everything when it came down to everything that was supposed to be under warranty, and I never received my second key they told me I had to purchase a key that cost $300 I don’t have money like that when I’m trying to pay other bills buy medication, pay hospital bills. Bottom line watch when signing off because some of the paperwork may not appear until after you sign later

I came to see a vehicle listed on the dealers website and was treated with utmost disrespect by a salesperson named Levon. I had come with my fiance, and when I asked about the car that was listed on the site, he claimed it wasnt listed online (when it clearly was, I pointed it out on my phone), and when I asked him what else was on the lot, he insulted me for naming my price range. Many other salespersons at other dealerships were happy to help, and Ive selected a car to purchase at another establishment at the very reasonable (and negotiable) price point Id set for a vehicle. This salesperson refused to even tell me about the other inventory on the lot and was extremely dismissive.I cant speak to the other staff at the lot, but it is a terrible experience for a first-time, out of town visitor eager to discuss such a purchase. It sets a poor example for both the dealership and its management that a potential customer would be treated in such a way. There are plenty of other dealers not only in Memphis, but also the road itself. No reason to subject yourself to this when contemplating a large purchase.

I have bought three out of four new cars from this lot in particular in the past 10 years. David Craig has been our salesman on each of those occasions, and I feel like he really goes the extra mile to help get exactly what Ive wanted at the price I need every single time. On this last trip, our finance rep that we worked with, Mr. Dilworth, was arguably the most personable individual Ive ever worked with on a car lot. The only thing I will say in any way negative is that Gossett needs to give this facility a similar upgrade to what has been done for their VW and Audi lots, as it is noticeably dated and deteriorating. On the whole, it took like 3.5 hours, but Mr. Craig and Mr. Dilworth checked every box I had in the purchase of my new Mazda. Thanks gentlemen!

THE WORST EVER!!! Lets start with the lack of knowledge the sales reps have.A bunch of kids trying to sale you cars with no knowledge whatsoever! If youre looking for honesty and professionalism, then I suggest you mosey right on over to next door Gossett Kia where the salesman actually look presentable and neat! Whereas Gossett Mazda Covington Pike is the Ghetto of car dealerships. Please dont pretend or think you have any knowledge about financing cars or finances in general because youll be greeted by a Finance Manager who thinks he invented finances with his quick wit and sarcasm filled with worthless lies! Then you try to get answers, but cant talk to anyone who knows what the heck is going on. They just send poorly trained staffed to say, We dont know. We dont have their systems. They dont tell us anything. You cant speak to anyone professional or has any knowledge. Then after becoming irate, youre greeted with the Manager Bill who swears hes talked to Mr.Gossett himself and is going to work something out since youve wasted X amount of days listening to garbage talk from young kids who are supposed to be salesmen and hours of wanting with nothing. The manager promises to come in on his off day to work out a deal and call you the following morning. Days go by and NOTHING! As a former manager of Escalations and Retention, Im disgusted imby this treatment. Im currently in the financial industry and I tell you and swear these people are CROOKS AND LIARS! Jacking up prices and asking for ridiculous down payments all for a Buck! Never again! AVOID THAT PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I recently bought my first car from Gossett Mazda and for the most part it was an okay experience. Tyrell was VERY professional and friendly, but the salesman that was working along with him was not. I was told that I could come and pick up the second key to my car the next day after the deal was closed. The only key that I left with was the one that just opens the doors. I didnt want to drive back up there the very next day because it is a nice distance from my house. So, I asked the salesman could I just come and pick it up when my tags came in. He gave me a definite yes. Well, some days passed and my car alarm went off (didnt even know an alarm was on the car). So, I tried to get in touch with the unprofessional salesman and he ignored my text even though he told me that if I had ANY questions or concerns to call him. I tried just getting my key through someone else in customer service and both of the people I talked to were VERY RUDE and told me basically that it was my fault i bought a used car. My mom texted the unprofessional salesman for me and he instantly called her back telling her that he was out sick WITH AN ATTITUDE as if she would know that. He told her that she could get in touch with his manager as if he didnt even want to deal with the situation . He was the one that told me I could come get my second key. I guess he spoke without actually knowing for sure if I had a key pad for the car. Long story short, the resolution is that I come and pay $183 dollars for a key that I was told was ready for me right after purchase. Why am I being charged when the salesman initially told me that I could come pick up my key the very next day after the sale. There was no mention about a charge. My experience probably would have been better if I had dealt with Tyrell only.
