Finally decided to pick up fly fishing. I have to say the way I was received at the Orvis at Laurelwood in Memphis was so great! I originally spoke to David on the phone and it really felt like I was talking to a friend almost. Then two days later I met Lesley and she’s the best! She explained things thoroughly and enthusiastically for a green horn to the sport. Helped me get fitted into my first waders properly(explained everything), and moved mountains to get my rod outfit sent to me at a sooner date than was expected. On top of all that everyone else that works there was jovial and genuinely seemed to like what they do. It’s safe to say that I have found my go to fishing store.

Michael and Leslie are beyond amazing!! So kind, patient and willing to assist any way possible. I cant wait for Covid to go away and try some fly fishing classes. Def ask about it when you visit!

Very friendly staff and the store overall exceeded my expectations.The fly fishing 101 class facilitated by Lesley was fantastic. Lesley gave a very informative class and made the experience extremely entertaining. My wife and I both attended and she had a great time and cant wait to hit the water.

Fishing manager is super knowledgeable and friendly. They offer free lessons for anyone looking to get into fly fishing.

I love the selection at this Orvis. I go there and can and quick order pick up all the clothes I need for at least a year. The shirts and pants are like nothing else that you can find anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and helpful and accommodating and eager to make you happy. When necessary, such as they didnt have my size and something, they ordered it for me right there in the store and it was delivered to my house.

These folks are great. Helped me out with some flies and info on a trip to the Smokies. Also enjoyed the 101 and 201 classes. I understand Orvis is sort of a yuppie brand but if youre in the market for more than polos its an excellent store with nice people.

Good service, nice store. Unfortunately, they do not carry anything over XL for women, although they go to 2X for men. Guess they like their women slim.

Was looking for a fishing supply store. Instead found a store that you pay way to much to look pretty while fishing. The personnel didnt seem to actually know much about fishing
