Best mechanic I have ever dealt with. He rebuilt my transmission when I broke down in Memphis driving to Florida. He did it in 4 days. I will tow a vehicle to them no matter where Im at in the united states for major work. Very nice very informative and the communication was great. Highly recommend this shop. Get it done fast and the first time. My truck is still running smooth like new!

I went to the shop because my transmission was slipping real bad. I got a new transmission. Now it runs smoothly again. I also use a coupon on their site to save me a few coins. Even though it was finished a day after they told me it would. I still give them 5 stars. Mark the manager was a straight forward person & let me know everything about my car. So very professional.
After reading just one negative review and seeing that they were willing to work with that customer to make things right and satisfy them. I knew that this was the shop for me. I have worked in customer service for over ten years. They have far exceeded my expectations. Though I dont want anymore problems, I will definitely be a returning customer..
Mark is a very professional person. I have a 2005 ford 500 that I found myself to love so dearly and he was able to sit down with me and talk about the problems that need to be address. He is not like these other guys who try to over on people especially females cause they think alot of us dont know about cars. Keep up the good work. 💯💯💯

They did a horrible job on my transmission rebuild. It has been in and out of that shop for a year now and now they are saying that the warranty is expired. And they wont touch it unless i pay them again. Or buy a transmission and have them install it. I would advise against going there for any work as they have shown their incompetence for doing their job

Well first off, Richard hooked the little machine up and it showed one code, so I was like ok, cant be to much wrong. Come to find out the transmission exploded, and Im not sure if this happened after he took it apart or what. I was still able to drive the car and also drive it in reverse. Its bad enough I had to pay $1,250 just to check out the transmission. If it exploded after he took it apart, then why is that on me. Then called talking about paying $3,300 for another transmission. Im not understanding, if it exploded, then why was I still able to drive it. Ive already lost my job.

I carried my 08 toyota camry in about a week ago grom today which is July 9 2020. My car was running hot. After running a test on my car Mark told me it was the radiator. They was suppose to have put in another radiator but the second started leaking after I picked up the car. I carried the car back this morning, July 9, 2020. Ive had to buy more Asian antifreeze to put in my car because it ran out. Asian antifreeze is expensive. This is my third time carryng my car back for the some of the same related problems. The second was because thsy didnt put in a thermostat which they should have put it in the first time. Cars that run hot normally mess up the thermostat so they need to be replaced as well. Ive had a bad experience and I havent had this experience out of no other shop with any car Ive owned. I asked Mark for the owners phone number he said he couldnt give out the number. Also.Im still have a not on this car. I paid $333 and some change for this car and my extended warranty company also paid the same amount in which they paid half. Over $ 600 and car is still not fixed .I told them if my car is not fixed right this time I will sue..

He is a professional and committed to solve the problem. At this store their diagnositics are on point. My Nissan Xterra needed transmission repair as well as coolant system repair. They did a great job fixing both. My vehicle drives with no problem. I am glad that I brought my business to this store and I would definitely visit AAMCO on getwell again in the future and recommend it to all my friends.
Mark is great, he gives it to me straight about whats going on with my vehicle, when I had a labor issue he stood by his warranty and fixed the part on my transmission. I would do business with them again if the need arises.
They did great the first time.. Second time ok.. They need to communicate a little bit more with customers up front about whats going on with their vehicle. Overall they did good work and if any problem they will try to help you.. I would come back again.. Mark the manager he will go beyond for you with talking with respect and letting him know the problem up front before leaving the shop.. Im satisfied with the work.. Transmission was slipping we are 6 hours from home the technician got in my truck hooked up his scanner smiled real big and said you need a new transmission it is burnt (his word) ....He seemed giddy excited, even! .... said it would cost $3800$I did some research entered a chat room or 2 had several suggestions to change filter and fluid the technician said $250 but he was sure we needed a new transmissionWe went to parts store changes filter and fluid drove on to Florida I think he was trying to scam us
Well I have to give them credit got my transmission rebuilt back on Jan 2019 a year warranty it made it till July and broke down they did honor there words and fix it at no cost it was still acting up when I left shop last fri but seems to be doing ok now hopefully it will last and do ok mark the manager made sure on the warranty a 5 stars to him and his help appreciate you on the help and getting me rolling again I will do a update soon i think they are trying to do people right there and get the business back to a 1 standards thanks mark you are a man of your word very appreciated

HIGH QUALITY! Not just ( TOTAL CAR CARE ) Had to be patient, they have a lot of details to work with including having to search parts, traveling to parts, Emergencies of sorts, phone message box stays full as soon as its cleared up, and working with parts from the dealers.So ok! Today is 03-07-2018 Wednesday 6:PM Jake stayed after closing so I could pick up the auto. I Just brought the car back from the shop; AAMCO 1261 Getwell Rd. Memphis TN 38111 I’m very pleased with their work. Upon our initial visit I told him what I thought the issue was and described the sounds and performance to the best of my ability; Clunking noise when shifting, and on deceleration from second gear. (Should have mention the vibrations at speeds over 60MPH). Even before the inspection and road diagnostics tests. Jake the (CSM) was direct, and straight to the point, gave me a good approximate worst case estimate, and actually stuck to it. If not for taxes he would have stayed under it. He worked with me a lot. I thought it was the Transmission and/or the clutch out of whack giving me issues. However, that all passed AAMCOs diagnostics and pressure inspections with flying colors. Turned out they needed to replace: 3 Motor Mounts, and a Driver side Wheel Bearing, added with a few Hours of Installation Labor, and a credited External Diagnostic Service that would have run me an extra 39.00. Well, to sum it all up the $800.00 total, plus what I paid for the auto and expenses. I’m still under what the auto list for on the internet. Also on the easy to understand, Itemized Invoice. They gave me the Auto Center Remarks: AAMCO highly recommends a front-end wheel alignment. Otherwise as soon as I tried to get out the parking lot; I noticed a total difference in the autos performance. I took it straight to the highway and drove with almost none of the former efforts and complications to my next destination. No vibrations, no noises while shifting and no almost stalling in low idles just smooth performance and pleasure. Well done and Thank You AAMCO! ~ Samuel F Campbell
Went into Aamco cause both of my taillights were out, Turns out one of my wires in my harness was bad. Mark fixed me up and had me on my way in no time
One of the worst transmission shops in the city of Memphis techs their dont have much experience would not recommend getting a simple transmission oil change from this shop very poor service they tried to tell me I bought the wrong part because they couldn’t do the work and after I had serval other more experience techs tell me that was the right part
