Happy with my buying experience at Gwatney Mazda. The sales consultant, Stan Williams, and finance manager, Barbara Finn, were both courteous and helpful in explaining all the details during the buying process. I was given enough time to decide on the car model/trim, test drive it, and to go over the financing options without any hurry. I was relieved that there were no dealer add-on mark-ups or extended coverage options forced upon us. Traded in my trusty 2015 CX-5 for the new 2021 CX-9. All in all, am excited with my purchase, and very happy with the way I was treated at Gwatney Mazda!

We took our CX-9 in for a recall. Linda helped check us in and did a great job being both very friendly and very thorough. They did an inspection and found a couple of issues that needed attention and repair but did not hard sell us on them which I really do appreciate. The work was done on time at the rates discussed with no issues. My overall experience this Gwatney Mazda’s service department was excellent and so far I would gladly recommend their services. We recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. When we arrived we were greeted by a salesman who seemed friendly at the time, but as negotiations began that changed. My husband made the statement to the salesman that we were not in a hurry, but wanted to find a good deal because this was going to be a big purchase for our family. It was getting late, and my husband told the salesman we could come back the next day to sign papers which would allow them time to wash the car, clean the interior and fill it with gas. The salesman became pushy to close the deal that night! The vehicle we purchased did not get cleaned inside or out, nor did we receive a tank of gas. When we left the dealership our tire light came on to notify us that all tires were at pressure of twenty-seven pounds! My husband had to pull over and put air in all four tires. This all could have been taken care had we not been rushed for signing papers! The next day my husband phoned the dealership to speak with the salesman with questions about the car, the salesman was short and seemed as if my husband was annoying him.We will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership nor will we recommend it to our friends.

I have a 2019 CX-5 and I have it serviced at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown. I like that I can schedule it early (7:30) and I am in and our in 45 minutes, when getting the oil changed and the tires rotated. Everyone is very courteous and they make things very easy.

I just purchased a 2021 Mazda Sport from Gwatney yesterday and it was a great experience Ive ever had in the car dealership during my whole car shopping process. Bubba Sterling is a really great guy. A honest and reliable gentleman and answered all my questions carefully. He didnt push me to do anything unwanted and didnt try to sell the unnecessary garbage like the other place did. Especially, he helped me to get the decent price that he could get for me. All in all, Im really happy with the new car and price I got. He was not a typical pushy salesman, he really did help us find the best CX-30 for our needs. He was knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were traveling west and our CX-5 developed a strange noise at higher speeds. We called Gwatney from the road as we passed through Memphis. They encouraged us to come in and were waiting for our arrival. Twenty minutes later they had identified the problem, repaired it, and we were on our way. Everyone was so friendly and courteous. I am truly amazed with the service I received at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown. From beginning to end everyone was extremely kind to me. Even after purchasing my dream SUV, they asked me to call, text, email if I needed anything or if I had any questions. They are very knowledgeable and are able answer all the questions you have, they explain every feature in the vehicle with details.They are truly good and honest people. They were all very involved in trying to get me the best deal I could get, and they did not rest until I got it. I am very grateful for the kindness they showed me. They were willing to stay with me past closing time, which I truly appreciate, because I could only get there in the late evening.I cannot recommend them enough. If you are in the market to buy a car, this is the place to go. They will not disappoint. I went to various dealerships before I got to them, and people were fine at the other dealerships, however, at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown, pleasant, warm and welcoming.

My car was in possession of their collision shop after it was stolen for repairs. The car was then stolen from their lot. They told me that they were picking it up from police impound, but did not. I have been without the car for a month and being charged for storage by the impound lot!!

I called them up to schedule routine maintenance on my Mazda3. Even though it was short notice, they told me to bring it right over. They gave me a ride to a local restaurant so I could grab a bite while they worked. My car was ready in about an hour and a half. They changed the oil, and the coolant plus the other stuff on a 60k service check. I feel that was pretty quick. Always courteous. Definitely recommend them.

It was a long due review that I was supposed to give for my insurance claim but I missed the deadline. This was one of the repair shop suggested by my insurance for front side fender bender. The whole process was transparent. No hidden cost and they didnt try to over charge for the parts. They repair was also done decently. Ill surely recommend this place.

I purchased my Mazda CX-5 GT in December 2019 after I totaled my Jeep Compass. I had a great experience with Bubba and the rest of the team — they were great! Today I went in for my first oil change + tire rotation.I dropped off my vehicle at 10am and it was ready for pickup around 11:30. Bought the car remotely and had delivered, some confusion on funds being transferred between bank and staff, salesman was super nice, car was a 2017 and had 32k miles and was delivered with bald tires, practically unsafe, didnt realize till after they had left, should had have tires put on car for price paid but am not going to argue or go back and forth. one tire had 16 pounds of air in it as well, others had 40, makes me wonder how their inspection on used vehicles is....hopefully rest of car wont have surprises, looks nice but lost faith over something as simple as tires and air pressure being neglected

I am so glad I went to Gwatney Mazda for my new car purchase. Not only did they give me more than I expected for my 2015 equinox but Bubba was so kind and knowledgeable about Mazda. He took his time and showed me every awesome thing about the car before and after I bought it. I did not feel pressured to purchase at all, if you have ever been to a car lot and felt like you were being followed by the salesman or being made to by a car you werent to sure you wanted but you are a millennial or Gen Z therefore you are too nice to say no so therefore you are unhappy and quiet, you will not get that feeling with bubba. It was the best cad buying experience I have ever had.

I purchased an older car (Honda 97) from this dealership, and I did feel that it was a pleasant atmosphere in which to buy a car for the most part. Though there was an experience with one of the closing employees getting a smart attitude with me, I feel that the majority of the employees were tired from a long day. That employee corrected their attitude when it was mentioned to them. All the other employees from the manager, to the sales associate that worked me to the notary, all provided great service. Aside from that, it was smooth, and they offered to fix my door locking mechanism for me at no additional cost whenever it was convenient for me. I am still awaiting the form I need to transfer the title, but it has yet to have been greater than 30 days. They offered to extend this temporary tag, if necessary. All in all, I am satisfied with the car purchase and the service rendered. The 4 star review was rendered due to the service provided as a whole, in spite of the less than savory experience mentioned above.

So far so good! I am still waiting to hear from them about reimbursing me for a bad tire that I saw the next day though. Mr. Walter Hill was my sales person. Hes the sweetest. He drove the car out here to my job, disinfected it, then he and I test drove it (with our masks on). After that, we checked everything else out on the car (except I missed that tire-it had a nail in the side wall and couldnt be plugged). I signed the papers and he took my old car back to the dealership for a trade-in. Completely painless! I may have to change my review a little bit if they wont reimburse me for that tire though.

Had 1 5k service on my 12 month old Miata and asked for the car to be washed also. Service was very quick, and thorough. I always verify the pressure in my tires anytime my tires are rotated and balanced. The wash job on the car was as good as I do at home, by hand. They did a good job. Alex was my service writer and he could not have been more professional and attentive to my cars needs and my convenience.

The whole process of purchasing at Gwatney was very easy. Kevin, our sales associate was very friendly and knowledgeable on the MX-5 I was interested in and in turn purchased. The entire staff was very easy to talk to and deal with as well, from Kevin to the finance manager (John I think) and the backroom staff on signing papers. The purchase was completed in the evening but they got my car detailed and looking perfect the next morning. The lot and showroom were very new and clean as well. On the whole, this was one of the best car buying experiences I have had in a while. Thanks to everyone involved!

Very nice people until the sell is done. We had a paper work issue after the sell that was clearly the dealerships fault and they owed me $300. I talked to Tony the general manager about three different times to fix this issue but he came up with every excuse in the world and wouldnt take responsibility. He told me that he would have to report the reason why he had to give me the money. Basically covering his own butt. I paid $45k at this dealership and it was worth losing a customer over $300, who does business like that? Do yourself a favor and shop at another dealership. UPDATE TO DEALERS RESPONSE: Tony we have talked three different times to fix this issue and you blew me off, now you want to get on here and ask for paper work because I called you out. You know who I am because you already looked at my paperwork and we have discussed this. You can keep the money and I will shop somewhere else. If you wanted a return customer you would have fixed this quickly.

Very disappointed in the service and disgusted in the lack of ethics/integrity of this dealership. I called before coming in to explain the issues going on with my RX-8. Specifically asked if they take apart and work on rotary motors or only replace them. I was told they work on them. Upon arrival to the dealership I once again told them that I had gone to the Mazda dealership in Little Rock and they had told me they no longer work on rotary motors and could only replace it for a new one. I was reassured by Germantown Mazda that they could work on it. I explained how grateful I was that I found a place that would work on my motor and that was why I drove 2 hrs to their dealership. I gave them the diagnostic codes that had been run from the previous dealership and they explained they’d do further testing. After waiting all day I was told my compression rates were below what they needed to be and all they could do was replace me entire motor. I then told them I thought they were going to work on repairing my motor because we already knew the problems with it prior to me coming in. They stated they don’t work on them but only replace them for new ones. I told them that was why I specifically asked before coming to a location 2 hrs away. I was point blank lied to so that they could earn an easy $306. The Mazda dealership in Little Rock was honest and had the integrity to tell me that replacing the motor would be my only option and therefore didn’t want to just take my money to not be able to offer another solution. Mazda in Germantown proved their only concern is profit and not customer relations or customer satisfaction. I will never recommend or purchase any vehicle from this dealership or utilize their service department.

Mazda of Germantown is the place to be if you want to be a part of the Zoom Zoom family. Ive purchased 2 Madza 3s for my daughter. They were both easy processes. However, the location on Convington Pike was not able to meet the terms we needed. It was a waste of time and we left frustrated. That was in 2014, so things may have changed by now. The next day we went straight to Mazda of Germantown and drove away in a 2013. Weve since purchased a 2017 in VA. She loves it! The third purchase was for me... finally. Everything about my car buying experience at Mazda of Germantown was great. Stanley Williams was awesome. He is knowledgeable, professional and very accommodating. He made it painless. Months prior to my purchase, he was always available to answer any questions that I had. When I was finally ready to purchase, I called the dealership, but he was off.  Less than an hour later, on his off day, he returned my call and we began the process over the phone.  I told him exactly what I wanted and the terms. My credit was only ran once. Gwatney gave me exactly what I needed and wanted.  I couldnt be happier.  The next day I walked in, was greeted by Stan, signed the paperwork and became the proud driver of the first 2020 Mazda 6 to be sold.  Brandy, the finance manager, was so nice, comforting and patient...she took me slow.   Stan took me around to meet Aaron, in the service department, who made me aware of my first service and what to expect. My car plate is now ready for pickup.  Denise, who is also in service, called to make arrangements with me to pick it up at the other Mazda dealership to make it more convenient for me.  What an awesome experience!! Service at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown TN is always a pleasant experience. Service managers are friendly and helpful. They get it in at the scheduled time and get it back to you quickly. They have a pleasant waiting area for those who dont drop off their car. If it doesnt need doing, they dont do it. Ive been a satisfied customer since buying a new car there in 2010. My Dad bought there in 2011 and he has been equally pleased with this dealership.

I had a horrible experience here with customer service. I believe it was Stan who helped me. I told him that I was interested in a Mazda 6 or a CX 5. I drove the Mazda 6 and as we were pulling back into the parking lot, I told Stan that I would like to test drive the CX 5. After I parked the Mazda 6, he asked me a few questions, and he asked if I planned on buying that day. I responded with no. There were a few more things that I had to weigh before I was going to buy. After I told him that I did not plan on buying, he told me that there was no point in me driving the CX 5, if I wasnt going to make a purchase that day. Letting me test drive the CX 5 could have been the difference between me purchasing with you guys. I will never recommend this place solely based on the customer service. Whoever trained Stan needs to reteach and reevaluate who is showing cars.

This place is really amazing. I was thoroughly happy with the service that we received here. The car is perfect, and the price was right. Chris our sales person went out of his way to go back to the vehicle several times to answer our questions when we called to inquire. When we arrived, they were very accommodating of us and our two little children. On another occasion, when we came to pick up our tags, they were just a few minutes from closing the service shop, but stayed an extra 20 minutes to help us plug a hole in the tire that they found. These people go above and beyond! Highly recommend!

I was from out of town and needed to have regular maintenance done on my CX5 during a cross country road trip. I called Gwatney and was able to get in the next day. The service was great and all the employees I dealt with were friendly. Its one of the nicest looking Mazda dealerships Ive seen. Very clean waiting room with TV and comfortable chairs. I would definitely use them if I lived in the area.

Customer service and friendliness from the service department and the rest of the staff is excellent! The prices are reasonable, Ive called other garages to obtain quotes for repairs, and I always end up back at this dealership. They have proven to be trustworthy several times over.
