I came to this Mavis location for new tires and an alignment, and I am so happy with the service that I received! The staff are courteous and knowledgeable. Great customer service! Rashad gave me some good advice on the maintenance of my vehicle so I can get more mileage out of it. The place is kept very clean, and my waiting time was better than I anticipated. I came in at 10 AM expecting to be there til the afternoon, but was out in 2 hours tops and I am very happy with my new tires/alignment. Great job to all! I will definitely be back.

Came to this location to have my tires align due to my car being hit. First, they questioned on why I needed my tires aligned (I am a woman) then they wouldn’t accept the type of payment I was going to provide (credit card from the person that hit my car) nevertheless to say he was willing to come physically to pay for the service if they did not accept payment via the phone. I was told by the technician/receptionist only I can pay for the work done to my car. I made an appointment online early in the morning and received a confirmation email without any time for my appointment just an order number and stating to stop by that day. So i called to confirm appointment and time of my arrival. When arrived at the location, person attending me was very rude. I arrived at 3:30pm ; the receptionist (Marty) gave me an attitude stating they didn’t do tire alignments in the afternoon. I said I called earlier to confirm and even told you at what time I was coming why didn’t you tell me? I felt I was forcing the work on them. After all i was only going to bring them $141why bother!? Anyway don’t waist your time coming here they don’t want your business. If I could have given them 0 stars I would have.

Owner/manager was extremely rude said he couldnt help my situation when the demonstration he gave me clearly showed that he could have helped me. Even his assistant looked embarrassed by his poor behavior and apologized. I went to Midas and the guy bent over backwards to help me.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolute worst customer service, was given an attitude on the phone and in person. All the workers were standing around doing NOTHING while I waited an extra hour for my car to be ready after I was told it would be ready around a certain time. Waste of time, money and will never return to Mavis for any car services.

Beware when making an appointment. I have received a call from Mavis to come in early and to disregard my scheduled appointment that I made online. Once I arrived they didnt have the tires and turned me away and stated to come back to the original scheduled time. No apology and a waste of time.

DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO DO ANY MECHANICAL WORK ON YOUR CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The parts the put on my truck for the alignment were not even tightened down. Additionally The tire was mounted with an extreme cant to it. The toyota dealership said that they couldnt believe they let it out of the shop like that. They also told me I needed several thousand dollars in leaf springs. My leaf springs were fine.

Manager is terrible and disrespectful towards customers and potential customers.He was very nasty and unprofessional when I spoke with him. Good thing costco has a tire shop with a polite staff and manager who respects the customers.

We got an unexpected flat and called 15 minutes til closing- they were swamped but could hear the despair in my voice and said to come on in anyway. They fixed it with ease and were so nice to my young kids while we waited in the lobby area! Great service!

I called up and said I needed an oil change and wanted to make an appointment. The man who answered the phone took my information and told me to come in now. I arrived within 5 minutes and immediately saw that the man behind the counter had his mask on his chin, not even covering his mouth, and the customer waiting right next to him had no mask in sight. I asked how long the wait was and was told an hour and a half. When I reiterated what I was told on the phone, the employee laughed out loud and said “yeah they always say that”. Don’t know if I’m more upset that I was lied to, or that this location is not following the NYS mask law.

This place is the best!! Fast and efficient service + polite and professional staff= best experience ever!

They were so great, I will always go back to them

I took my car in for a state inspection, and the manager attempted to scam me out of $750. He claimed that a strut was blown, and that both must be replaced, as well as oil leaking all over it. I had recently had work done on the car, and there was no disturbance of any kind in the steering wheel! The man tried SO hard to keep me in the shop, and put up such a fight about how “serious” they are there, and even had the audacity to tell me to call him back when I get a quote from another mechanic. Mavis, you just lost a customer for good!

I went in with a screw stuck in my tire an hour in a half before closing. Due to a small amount of staff (arrived close to closing time), I was asked if I wanted to be helped by the next nearest Mavis but decided to stay and was told it would be up to a 40-60 min wait.The staff was incredibly helpful, communicative about timing, and friendly. My wait was less than expected and I transaction completed on no time. Definitely will visit this place again and would recommend to anyone needing service.

If I could give them zero stars I would....First off they refused to fix my tire which was due to a nail in the middle. ( Not the side walls)This kinda left me stranded since I did not have any tools in my car to put on my spare.They charged me for putting on a spare...On top of that heres where it gets bad.My after market tire had a hub centric ring on them.They did not take that out. They forced the spare onto the hub centric ring! Damaging it... On top of that posed a risk to my safety because the spare was not seated properly instead seated a bit crooked because it pinched onto the hub centric ring on one side.When I got home I tried to take the spare off but was not able to by myself I had to have a friend bring tools so I could get it off without damaging it.My hub ring is damaged. Luckily not my hub itself.Long story short dont go to these mavis with your car. If they cant even put on a spare properly and force fit everything dont bother with them!Also after this incident and the experience I had with management today mavis as a whole lost me my fimily as a customers. Management was extremely rude and even threatened me to me after my complaint was made to them when I called.To those who read this go to a mechanic you can trust and can do the job right aswell as respect there customers!

I made an appointment later in the day on a Saturday. The online form asks you about what you would like done, which is awesome. I checked off oil change, tire balance, rotation and alignment...all items I need on my older model car. When I showed up, the man behind the counter couldn’t understand what the order form said, why there was more than one item checked. He wasn’t doing a good job of communicating and made it clear he didn’t want to help me. He said that “Most people bring their cars in earlier in the day to get things done”. And if I wanted my car worked on, I would have to leave it for awhile but he really didn’t understand what I wanted done. And while he claimed to be “busy” there was maybe one guy working on one car in their multi stall garage. Ugh! No thanks. I took my car 10 minutes away to a different shop and they were able to help me right away.

I was very pleased. Staff was helpful and informative. Prices seem very fair. I will continue to use Mavis for my auto needs.

Quick service reasonable prices.

I am not from the neighborhood. I was on the way to visit my granddaughters. I came off the LIE and heard a clicking sound from rear tire. I pulled over and saw a sharp nail like item in my tire. Mavis was the nearest place. It was close to closing time on a Saturday afternoon. The workers were relaxing, but they cheerfully checked my tire and were able to remove it and patch the tire. They were pleasant and charged a very reasonable fee. Thank you. I will make the trip there when my car needs tires in the future.

The staff at the shop were the best. At the end of the day gave me good advice for keeping my car in its best shape rather than just trying to sell you unnecessary tune ups, etc. Definitely will keep coming back!

Been coming here for years and the mechanics and desk people are all very knowledgeable and honest and will try their best to accommodate pricing that’s best for your budget. Oil changes very cheap (only 20 bucks) and the same with inspections. Joe is wonderful and I try and deal with him as he knows me and my mother as well as our cars well.

Mavis in Melville on route 110 near the Walt Whit mall has been servicing my car for approximately 1 to 2 years and they have done an excellent job everytime. The customer service is also very good.

Ive been a long time customer of STS before it became Mavis Discount Tires. They were in the same location as they are now and the staff was incredibly nice and attentive. I actually was in a bad situation with my car at the time and would not have been able to make the right decision about my car (which was a huge money pit) if it werent for their quick work and candidness with me. I thanked them sincerely and greatly then, but hadnt been back for years as I purchased a new car since then.I recently had to go back to get my car inspected and I wanted to see if the place had changed since its location is the same but is now Mavis. I was glad to find out that even though the staff is not completely the same, they are every bit as good as they were a couple of years ago. I brought a magazine as I wanted to wait until the inspection was done but ended up talking with the receptionist and later with the rest of the staff all morning. They were polite, friendly and kept insisting that they would let me read if I wanted to but we just had a great conversation that was better than what I brought to read. The inspection only took about 45 minutes and would have been quicker if they didnt need to order new windshield wiper blades. This place not only ranks as the best tire place Ive ever been to, it is one of the best automotive businesses Ive ever been to in 32 years period. I love them and told them so on each occasion I could. Everything from the customer service to the actual work is exceptional. Thanks for everything!

Had a nail in one of my tires and made a appointment at this location on a Saturday 12:30pm. I get there and greeted by a pretty rude associate. Told me to move my car and that wait time will be over 1 hr and 30 minutes just to get my car seen. I told him i had a appointment for 12:30 pm. He pretty much told me too bad. So i move my car and I tell him Ill be around and to call me when the cars done. Well long story short I call him after a long time and he tells me he cant fix the tire and suggests I replace 3 tires as they are worn. I am why he cant fix my tire and he says the location of the nail is the problem.Well, today I go to a different mavis location without a appointment and they fixed the tire in 30 minutes for $17.Beware of this location as they dont seem to be so honest with their word.

Manager was knowlegeable about cars and gave me a very good price on tires for my Mercedes Benz. Service was quick too.

Today me and my husband went to Mavis discount tire shop. They provided good, fast service and the manager gave me discount as a essential worker Im registered nurse.

Worst customer service. On the phone was quoted a price for the new tire. Brought the car in and tire replaced. After it was competed the manager actually said you dont think what was quoted was actually the price. He continued to berate me and when i refused to pay the higher price he threatened to call the cops. He is a horrible person and manager. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

Strike three Mavis, youre out. Sad to give this local shop a bad review but their customer service policy and manner truly needs to be adjusted. Recently gave them a try against friends who warned me about going there. I had a bad experience with their Commack location where they first ordered the wrong tires then, damaged the paint on one wheel during installation but that was then. Since then, I purchased and installed two new tires and picked up a screw a week later, bad luck. My wife brought the car back and they actually told her its normal for a new tire to lose 6LBS after a week?? I refilled the tire?? then the following week it lost 6LBS again?? She brought it back and they told her that the screw was too close to the side wall (1 INCH AWAY!!!!). Took the car to our fav, All Weather Tire in Huntington station and they were able to repair the puncture with no issue. Since Ive bought 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport and they gave me a great price and great customer service to boot!

For years I was a customer to sts now Mavis and its terrible now. My father is 75, his tire blew up and he drove the car to the shop passing several gas station but went there because he knows I take my cars there, well no more after the way they treated my father.The managers asked my father to leave the car over night for a tire change, thats absurd itself, my father called me I went in asked them why he needs to leave the car for just a tire change then he said he didnt have extra mechanics only one guy and he was closing at 6 my dad was in the parking lot since 430 because he was on his way to work. So 2 managers seating, chatting, looking through window at a 75 year old man outside they place of business changing his own tire they did not help, when I showed up I changed the tire for my dad because he could not bind down to do it himself cause of his back which he told them he couldve done it but he has a bad back. As his daughter he showed me how to change a tire I showed up in my scrubs got on my knees and change that tire. I will never use Mavis tire shops again nor would anyone I know.

These guys took great care of me. Came in with a tire puncture and they had me out the door in 30 minutes. Highly recommend them.

We went in with a screw lodged fully into the tire. They brought the vehicle to the garage, took out the screw and tested the tire for a leak. They came back 10 minutes later and said it didnt puncture the tire. She said todays your lucky day and sent us on our way. An honest shop with integrity goes a long way!

Let me tell you something this is THE best mavis you can go to hands down. I had looked at my inspection sticker and noticed it had been expired for a month and I didn’t even realize. Yikes. But lucky the guys Kevin and Marty at this Mavis took care of me on the spot I called last minute and they managed to squeeze me in for a new inspection. I’m always skeptical about other people touching or working on my car but Kevin took extra good care of me and even placed the inspection sticker perfectly lined up with my registration sticker without even having to ask. If you’re looking to have any work done don’t hesitate to head down to this mavis they are THE BEST.

Bukhari and the entire staff are so incredibly helpful and efficient. They were able to fix my air pressure issue, mangled rim, and depressing shocks scenario. They truly work hard to do the best by the customer and always provide outstanding service.

They have no clue how to balance the tires l.It took me three visits to have my tires balanced correctly and I still left with badly vibrating tires that they have installed and I purchased through them. And it seems like the kids are running the whole place. They also think they are giving you a deal on the tires while later on the hit you with all kinds of fees

I give this Mavis from a 4 to a 1 star. Why because the guy who changed my breaks left the old break pad in the back driver control arm. Had to pay an Additional $60.00 to have my Rav4 diagnosed to find wear the awful noise was coming from. Im NEVER returning to them or any other Mavis.
