On 8/ 14 /2021 At the florist section of the Whole Foods in Melrose Massachusetts a woman was working named Mary . She made my experience extra memorable, simply with her very friendly personality . She displayed a nice human heart and we had a lovely conversation about the flowers I was picking up . She was extremely knowledgeable about flowers and coupled with a warm spirit Whole Foods should hang on to her tight.I will definitely be back

This is one of the nicest Whole Foods locations Ive been to with great regularity. Zero issues. Helpful staff. Yes, the prices jolt me at times, but Im very specific about what I purchase there. I mostly grab sushi, soup, fruit, vegetables, and the occasional splurge item. I love their fresh fish department, as the prices are quite similar to many other grocery stores based on what Im getting. Theyve also got a great health and beauty department, along with an excellent selection of essential oils and health supplements. The store is spotless, too.

This is my first time going there I was a little skeptical because Ive heard the prices are really high in there but I got a lot of good bargains. I got lavender cream. I got sulfate free shampoo as well as conditioner a bar of soap and two or three other things and it was under 20.00 dollars

I tell all of the shoppers the fish is the freshest fish I ever had. The meat is top notch. The food market is immaculate. The staff is great. Vegetables and fruits are also good. The wine and 🧀 and selection of olives are super. A great place to shop.

I like this place for ONE reason only; a worker named Caixian, who helps out in the beauty/health isle. She is beyond informative and can pick out whatever you want for any type of symptom or need in a flash. Extremely kind and beyond helpful. Sometimes you can get overwhelmed with Whole Foods, but this one place has a worker who is definitely one of those “above and beyond” types!

A great place to go shopping, especially during the the slower times of day. Its not a very big location, but its not tiny either, with enough space in the aisle to pass others and not feel cramped.They have a good selection of items and a few things you cant always find elsewhere.

No quarts of light cream, only pints at $2,79 ARE YOU KIDDING ME that means a quart is $5.58....shameful. MB $2.79 a quart. Today was my first and last time I go there.The meats are very good but the rest of the store would be my Whole paycheck I only make a little over $100,000 a year so it is out of my bracket.

Good produce section, fresh, quality and not as much to choose from compared to their super sized counterparts. Prices are typical WholeFoods wacky, to high. As Ive said about another WholeFoods, Ive seen them sell the same things that are on amazon for more like a powder mix shake supplement thats surprisingly tasty. But like other models in their chain stores, its clean and I get in and out fairly quick

Plants were kinda sickly. But the store was well managed and the staff were incredibly professional and friendly.

Absolutely no empathy for residents next door to the Whole Foods Market store in Melrose. The stores management rented a jumbo noisy refrigerated truck unit and installed it right next door to the residential living area. This jumbo refrigerated battery-operated truck is running 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7) while making constant loud noises. This is especially disturbing at night time when all you want is peace and quiet after a stressful day and instead you are constantly listening to a revving loud engine with 4-minute throttling on and off engine cycles. The management does not care and hangs up on you when you voice a community concern.

The store is good. Meat/Fish department is really great with friendly staff. The problem I come across is the deli. They always slice 1/2 pound when I ask for 1pound for deli meats and for some reason they don’t ever want to slice cheese they want to give me the pre-sliced cheese.

Its my own fault for going in there because Im well aware of what things cost. But every time, I leave there wondering why the hell everything costs so much and Im mad at them and mad at myself. Ill probably do it again though.

My biggest issue is the produce department. The produce either isnt fresh or out of stock. Ive frequently purchased produce only to notice that it was rotten once I got home.

My wife and I have been shopping at both Big Y and Market Basket. The trips to Big Y have been uneventful and the supermarket we patronize in West Peabody, MA hasnt been overly crowded, however, the checkout staff are not wearing protective gloves or masks. The last time we visited Market Basket On Saturday morning, March 28, the shopping experience was a disaster. Overcrowding leading to shoppers on top of each other and essentially no protective gloves or masks for the employees. At the checkout they had provided tape markers on the floor to provide a 6 space between shoppers. But we will not be going back due to the lack of safeguards.On Saturday afternoon April 5, 2020, we decided to stop at Whole Foods in Melrose, MA. Wow were we impressed! Orderly spacing in the wait line and they were only allowing a small amount of shoppers into the store at one time. As a shopper left out one door, the next person in line entered from another door. There was staff disinfecting carriages, every staff member had gloves and masks, there was significant spacing between shoppers as limiting the number of customers made the experience much less stressful and the store was well stocked throughout. If youre seeking a safe, stress-less shopping experience I highly recommend Whole Foods in Melrose, MA.

The food is expensive & I dont see the difference from a regular market

You pay top dollar for excellent quality food and service. I run here for extra special stuff when the menu or guests deserve only the best. I wish this place also offered more conventional food (more of the cheaper stuff) so I could do all my food shopping here. Its a shame that great food requires a great income.

Best Grocery Store. Period. The hotbar is amazing, staff is friendly. If you want good groceries go to whole foods.

Whole Foods is pretty decent I mean what could want more? The customer service is pretty professional and always smile. It is very well maintained, it is clean, and has a large selection of non GMO products. It is super eco friendly and their food is very tasty. I recommend their burritos from the Prepared Foods section and their jalapeno cheese bagels. I know lots of people love this $1meal regardless if they like spicy or not. Its a nice place to shop for your daily needs or to just stop buy and have a meal with your friends or family, or both! I personally like their Virgils Root Beer and Virgils Cream Soda but that was sort of irrelevant. I definitely would recommend coming here.

This is a great Whole Foods. Everything is clean and well organized. I am always easily able to find everything Im looking for and the quality is always great. I love their selection of local ice creams and soaps.

They say they are good to the Community!! But every day they let the trucks run at the loading dock sometimes for an hour or two! And they refused to control it!! It really smells!!

Used to love this place. So convenient. Im sad to see that they are giving in to corporate dictates to upsell as much as possible; literally, the registers are bursting with candies and other items, even to the point of covering the area where people need to set their food. Dont know how things will change now that Amazon has bought them up, of course.

I called to order a cake for my dad that I ordered a year ago which was round yellow cake of three layers with different fillings. My sister went to the store and showed them the pictures of the cake that we ordered last year. When I went to pick up the cake I got a pink rectangle which was flat when I told them the cake is for a man that I couldn’t take a pink cake home and because it was flat didn’t look 3 layers I asked if it had the fillings. The man in charge said “yes plenty of fruits in it.” They removed the top pink and put white for me when I got home and cut the cake there was no fruit fillings instead it was butter in the fillings. And they took that on layer of cake to cut it two times and put butter cream in between. It was disgusting no one ate it and I took pictures of it to show them

It is a small and manageable market and at the best location for me! I usually buy wild-caught fishes, grassfed whole milk, even local milk with deposit bottles :). Generally it seems WFs are a little bit pricey but I can find almost every organic-high quality things here. Besides that, this location offers two hour delivery to your home. There is an Amazon locker in here, which is also super convenient for Prime users!One more thing, I need to special thanks to the Bakery Team due to their attitude while I was looking for to avoid from a specific ingredient. They printed out the labels of every single cakes that I pointed out 🤭 You may say it is a part of their job however attitude is matter! And they gained my sympathy 😊 Thank you, WF!

Hot bar is GROSS!!! Employees are friendly, but never enough working (long lines). And did I mention the hot bar is gross?🤢

Great store comma great staff. Been a little disappointed lately with the vegetables and fruits. Prices are high and the fruit does not last as long as it used to not sure if they change vendors. The bigger stores are much too crowded dont care for that environment love the small intimate stores. The produce area and my opinion needs a good clean up to get rid of the underlined fungus. Citrus should not have a white film on it and its not wax we buy organic only organic when theres a white film on the Citrus I will not purchase it. Have spoken to the produce manager and the store manager but they can only do what they can corporate needs to step in.

I frequently shop here since I live in the area. The store is average sized so you may not find many items here than their other stores. For the grocery basics they have you covered. Employees there are always enthusiastic and helpful. However shopping here can get expensive - I highly recommend taking the time to read the circulars and buy whats on sale (they have Black Friday specials - hint hint). Shopping here with a plan can be affordable if you do this. In my experience, some of their produce is comparable or cheaper than produce at some supermarket chains.

This whole foods is always buzzing. At least in my experience. Ive been to others that appear to be understocked and a little depressing. Every time I enter this one. Theres people stocking shelves and the cashiers are always smiling. Also to mention, the hot food line here is ALWAYS on point. Ask for David or Christopher in the prepared foods department for prompt help!

Often shop here and it is our go-to grocery store. Today we didnt bring a bag (:/) and when I told the bagging gentleman that he didnt need to double bag our stuffs, he replied its already in there so Im not gonna take it out referring to the second bag he had already put into the first bag. Seemed young, and probably poorly trained so I dont blame him at all, just dissatisfied with todays experience

I purchased haddock at the Melrose store. It was not fresh and looked like it was sitting around for some time. I expected better, but this store is consistently sub par_ very disappointing.

Its good.The staff is the best always helpful and with a smile in the face. The place is clean and plenty of parking spots.

Good. Fresh cook food at the deli. But. Regular staple like ok and milk are too expensive. Most groceries are expensive. The login is when you order things at the deli that I prepared and cooked maybe $10 a pound for pound of cooked chicken or lasagna, meatloaf . These taste fresh and excellent.

I went in to pick up a rotisserie chicken for dinner later..when we served it later it was so dry..almost unchewable. Im sure it was not cooked that day. So I paid 9.99$ for a chicken that sat in plastic heating under that lamp for at least a day.beware folks

I was skeptical about ordering a customized birthday cake in WF as I have never ordered cake here before but I am so amazed with the hardwork they have put in to make such a beautiful UNICORN cake. It looks exactly how I asked them to make it and taste so good. No over slimy and sweet frosting. All the layers were perfect with the flavors that I asked for! Great job Bakery team! I definitely recommend other people to order custom cake here and buy again from WF melrose!!! Loveee it!!!!

Though pricey the variety and quality of food is always amazing. The special cookies I used to love are no longer sold in bulk but now they have macaroons and mochi.
