Very impressed with the the freshness of everything. Really good food at a good price.
Awesome tacos. Authentic Mexican food order inside pickup at the truck outside. Friendly service too.
Was looking for homemade tortillas & I don’t speak Spanish, but when I went in the young lady begin the counter smiled & spoke to me in English …. Friendly & bilingual …. I will be back
I am from California where you can find excellent authentic Mexican food most anywhere. I assumed moving here I would have to search harder (like finding good pizza out west). La Preferida was right around the corner and it is pretty amazing food from what I’ve tried so far. Good portions, good prices, good ingredients. ONLY thing I could suggest is if they made their own tortillas. I had the Menudo today and it did not disappoint.I strongly recommend trying this place if you want real authentic Mexican food. I’ve already tried several local Mexican restaurants and they are mostly what I call “Mexican Perkins”, just chain restaurants with cheap ingredients in large portions. Perfect example, El Chico restraint by the Melboure mall, it is so bad I couldn’t get through my meal.
Bomb diggity. excellent authentic Mexican food. I picked up the pastor and steak tacos. Both were great.
Finally found an authentic Mexican place in Florida. They have pan, elote, tacos, tostadas, horchata. Waited about 5 minutes. Not long at all!
Top choice for Mexican take out. Everything has always been very good. You have to go into the store to order food. Havent tried calling ahead as most of the time its pretty quick getting food.
Very good food! I am not sure if I have ever had authentic Mexican food, but I believe this was definitely authentic.
The food is amazing and cheap!!! $2 for an authentic street taco!! We come here often!!! I have never gotten something I didnt like.
La mejor taqueria en la area. I highly recommend any of the tacos, tortas, or gorditas. Everything is seasoned well and at a great price. Plus the market lets you shop for authentic Mexican ingredients!
Steak tacos...beans and rice! Green sauce! Hot sauce! The the tamales ~ when youre lucky enough to get some before the sell out are always fantastic!
Every single time I bring a friend here that has never been they always love it! And end up going back with more friends. I lived in Rosarito, mexico for a while and you really cannot get closer than this as far as authentic. Super delicious and very affordable. Now if they could just start making churros an option on the menu that would be amazing!🙏
I have been a patron of this store since you opened. Tonight, the ladies in the food truck forgot a $2.00 beans and $2.25 taco. We called and spoke to the owner who first said we were lying and then said he would look at thr cameras to see if we were lying. The worst customer service ever. He refused replace the itemals to We will not be returning and will not be recommending to my Mexican family when they visit.
Good food.. A bit pricy for what I got..But good selection of merchandise..
Best taco truck in town . Food is fanominal.
The fried chicharrones 👌🔥The steak 🌮 amazingEven inviting to non Spanish speaking folks, cuz I cant speak a lick of Spanish.
The best authentic Mexican food Ive tasted in Brevard county to date!! Cant wait to go back! Yummy
It actually gets 5 stars for food selection. Only place I can find oaxaca cheese. But really 1 star for cost. Nothing in the store has a price tag and seems crazy over priced out made up prices at the register.
Great place for Hot tamales and other Mexican food stuff........they have cowboy boots too..xoxo
The burritos are huge! Definitely worth the value and great
I live in this neighborhood and I go here pretty often. It’s good food compared to a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area. Prices for their grocery items are high. Not the most sanitary place when it comes to their baked goods. I have always spotted a fly or two where the “fresh” bread is at which is what deters me from purchasing any. Not the strictest with mask wearing which is bizarre because it’s such a small store and it is impossible to keep a safe social distance. But again... their tacos... to die for lol
The owner of this place is the most ridiculous person his policy of charging for each little salsa. In five tacos gives you one little cup of one salsa or nothing. If you pay before for extra salsa they don’t give you extra salsa. I recommend go to La Placita in Cocoa much better tacos better quality. He also is very ridiculous with the amount of meat and beans! Really you may not know what kind of meat you are receiving. The health department should really audit and inspect this place.
Delicious as always. Closest to eating in Mexico as you can get
First time here at the food truck. Because the reviews were great, I was excited to try this business. Ordered a chicken burrito. Mostly rice, chicken crumbles. Refried beans were good. Not what I had hoped for. :(
First time here. You order in the store and get your food from the truck right next to it. There is outdoor seating, but people mostly order to take out. Great food and price.
Best authentic tacos in town
Outstanding food and customer service. The best authentic Mexican food Ive had in a very long time. The pan de dulce was fresh and delicious. Im so happy I found La Preferida.
I found this gem by accident one day. I am always on the lookout for the most authentic Mexican food wherever I go and this place does not disappoint. I usually get their carne asada meal with rice and beans or a gordita and both are delicious! If I could give one criticism of this place it would be that they need more seating. They recently got rid of their small amount of inside seating and there are only 4 small tables to eat on outside, definitely not enough to cater to the large amount of customers they have regularly. Overall, fantastic Mexican food, possibly the best in Brevard County.
One of the best places for authentic flavors not found in a grocery store
I have used La Preferida products for years. I particularly love the hot Red Taco Sauce and the hot Green Taco Sauce. I often have to buy these products online as I’m unable to find some of the products I like at the store.
Authentic Mexican tacos are the best!
What is an authentic Mexican taco? Meat (carnitas, asada, lengua, cabeza, etc) in TWO soft corn tortillas. Not ONE. Not FLOUR. Not crunchy. Its topped with chopped onions and cilantro. No lettuce. No tomato. No cheese. And you have lime wedges, red and green salsa. Most restaurants around here make tacos for gringos (a single flour tortilla, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, ground beef—you might as well go to Taco Bell). 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 does tacos right. Theres one problem here: these are STREET tacos. Which means theyre SMALL. So you have to order at least 6 of them, instead of the typical order of 3.
That truck has some pretty good food. 3 Saturdays in a row
Great food. Never disappointed.
Delicious authentic mexican food with amazing service!
Best real mexican food in this area! Delicioso!!!!
Don’t let the fact that this is a food truck fool you! These tacos are legit! They have a menu with all different meats and different food options and everyone is really nice. You order and pay inside and get your order at the truck. Don’t forget to grab your drink, the bottle opener for the drinks is inside on the counter. Grab the Mexican Coke in a glass bottle, I don’t know why, but it just tastes better.
Always good, very traditional.
Love the tacos here
Best place around for good Mexican food. If you have tacos on your mind..get them here. Tamales (on weekends) are also good - they run out of them if you go late.
Authentic Mexican food cooked to order...
Lovely store and wonderful food
So authentic very good
Great tacos, fast service. Looks a little sketchy, dont judge! Its well worth stopping in and trying them! Loved the homemade corn tortillas!
Fantastic and generous carne asada. Love these folks. Genuine and authentic fare.
Love this place! Great food! The Carnitas torta is my go to favorite. Tried almost the whole menu and have never been disappointed. Its a must try!
The best taco truck around
If you read the reviews on yelp, I cant add that much.Another Cali native telling you this is the only kind of Mexican food you should ever eat. Crazy good tacos (actually, everything is amazing) from a food truck. I think the carnitas tacos are the best (they also have steak, chicken, barbacoa, lengua) but thats personal preference. They are only like $1.75 each so you can taste them all for not much money and make your own decision. I havent sampled everything on the menu (get stuck on the tacos) but if you are here on the weekend, the tamales are just like my nana (Mexican grandma) used to make.Plus, this place is so not hipster. I bought limes from the produce store across the street and they were 10 for $1! Whuuut?
Has a variety of items
Fast service. Good food
Been coming to La Preferida for over10 years. Best tacos in town. Reminds me of home.
Great Mexican food. Best tacos Al pastor in the area!!
Amazing authentic Mexican food.
Fresh ingredients and fresh cooked food. Generous portions. Fed myself and 2 others for 14$ and had leftovers. Friendly women. Well worth the money 👌im pretty picky where i eat. They were very clean 👌
Taco truck is amazing
Fed 5 coworkers for $32 and food is good! Tacos are small though, order 3.
Tacos tacos tacos Mexican pizza chips and soda Mexican boots and some goodies please expand your merchandising so I could buy more stuff
Best authentic tacos in the area, tried the asada, carnitas, and barbacoa. Carnitas and barbacoa were the best. 10/10 would recommend.
Delicious food. The street tacos are great!
The best authentic tacos in town!
Dont be fooled by the appearance its a food truck outside the store but they have delicious authentic Mexican food. Only thing is not a lot of seating. You could get it to go but of course everything is better fresh.
The owner is rude.
Best tamales in Melbourne! Only on the weekends though and they sell out fast!!! Great little spot for authentic Mexican food! I only wish they would sell tamales every day. They also have horchata. It could be a little more rich, but all in all very good!
Great little Mexican supermarket that offers a variety of traditional Mexican beverages, marinated meats and other trinkets. The food truck makes some delicious tacos as well. I believe the food truck is always there.
Great Authentic Mexican!! Lots of selections. Try not to go at peak hours. They stay busy.
Prices are high, Burritos are full of rice. No bueno.
Its great. My friend recommended it. Love the food.
Low to no stock throughout so bought hardly anything. Cashier pleasant but didnt know origin of the chicken.
Great store if youre looking for authentic Mexican groceries. They also have a taco truck in front, the tacos are amazing!
Great tacos!!! Best Ive had since I was in Chicago. Definitely the best Ive had in Florida so far, and Ive lived here for five years. Good prices, small portions (just order a couple) and youll be quite happy.Update: Still the best tacos
I ordered 6 dozen tamales at $24 a dozen for Christmas. Mostly masa, very little meat. Very disappointed. The taste was good, but way too much masa.
This place is literally a piece of Mexico in Florida. Im so happy to have found it everything about this place is pure authentic Mexican from glass bottle sodas to Fresh jamaica and horchata made daily to the taco stand out front I felt like I was back in Mexico the tacos are amazing the tortillas are fresh made
The food here is delicious! All their food is made fresh every day, including the tortillas. My son loves their tasty chicken tacos, rice, and beans. Call in your orders if you dont want to wait cause it can very busy.
The girls at the truck gave me dry moldy limes with my warm meat and COLD HARD tortillas . The pictures below are the tacos they made for my kid. You can tell the tortillas werent heated AT ALLL. we had trouble keeping them from cracking.. the woman are just as cold and moldy as the food they serve people! I will NEVER waste my time again and I WILL share my experience.
Great mexican food. Inexpensive boots and clothing. Friendly staff.
Good place
Love the street tacos from this place
Sadly this used to be a great place for lunch. But unfortunately the staff have become rude and dont want to even try and do your food right and they do not understand English to communicate. The guy that runs the place is nice but his employees that work in the truck are very rude. The food doesnt taste as good as it used to, used to go every week, but due to a language barrier i wont be returning i will go to taco bell.
Food truck with very tasty Mexican food! Order and pay inside the convieniance store then go outside to the truck to get your food. You wont regret it!
They are really rude. They messed our order up and never did anything about it besides give us attitude. They don’t care about their customers. We ordered steak tacos and didn’t get steak in our tacos? How do you forget to put the meat in the tacos in the first place? I found a better authentic Mexican restaurant closer to me called Palm Bays Mexico grill and it’s way better and they actually care about their customers.
Good food, not the best coming from somewhere where there is authentic food all around. Not a very friendly atmosphere but it works if youre hungry for Mexican food. They are often out of favorites. Tamales onlyMade on the weekend and went there to get tamales this weekend and they decided not to make them the gal at the register says...... ugh either way. Would be four stars if the atmosphere was more welcoming.
Best food truck in town
If youre looking for some delicious and authentic-tasting tacos, this place is where its at. La Preferida is my one and only go-to taco place in the area. Highly recommend this place.
Hands down the best traditional Mexican food in the county!
This place looks janky, but the food is great, especially the salsa verde.
The food is always excellent
Burrito was lacking! Bunch of rice in a tortilla for 9 bucks!. Tacos were good. Wont get burrito again.
