Im so sorry I dont remember all the names of the wonderful helpers at this store but I just want to say thanks to all of you!! I dont normally like coffee but the server (a very nice guy) recommended me the sweetest thing they had on their menu and I loved it! All at an affordable price too. The cashiers are amazing and very efficient, they helped me find the books I needed and checked me out very quickly and reminded me to use the perks of the BAM membership card. They have a great selection of books here and a sale every time I come. Thank you, you all are very pleasant and idk what theyre paying you but you deserve a raise!
Honestly, a beautiful store. Well laid out and easy to find everything. Staff was courteous and professional. Havent been in a Books A Million in many years. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were still in operation and that the same high standards are still in place.
Another BooksAMillion no doubt about it, however it is still a welcome haven to those who love the written word. The place is clean, always has a ton of bargain books/clearance and helpful employees. What more can you ask for?
Nirvana for book lovers of all ages!I do miss being able to sit down to glance thru a book. COVID safety protocols
Loved my visit! Great atmosphere! Christine made me a fabulous decaf coffee! ☕️👍🏻
A great bookstore – lots of selectionThis location is in the Viera Towne Center and so, with all the other shops, parking may be limited. It is a good bookstore. Besides the various books, there are also gifts for purchase in the front and magazines in the back of the store. The staff was friendly and they had several books that I wanted. Book prices, everywhere, are getting higher but this is comparable to online prices for new books. They have a good stock of books of most genres and a fair science fiction/fantasy section. A good place to go to browse, read or get gifts. Enjoy
Lovely store with kind workers and an alright café. Wait at the café can be bad but it seems the few workers have to manage that and the rest of the store at once, so this is understandable. I rarely see any clutter/misplaced items, and when I did, it was a coupon for the café! I have done online pickups, in-person shopping, and general looking-around and never have an issue :)
Nice place to hangout in family, u find all kinds of books to read, or toys, games, gifts, has something for all ages there, good to try, u will not leave without something in your hand
Love my BAMM stores. Wish I had one closer to me so I could visit every day.
I wish bookstores dont go out of business. I love the grounded feel of bookstores. Takes awhile to get attention for cafe though.
Super helpful staff and great deals but I find the layout not as user friendly as B&N. But definitely worth the trip up to Viera. Have never been disappointed with a staff interaction.
Beware they charge you twice!!!!! If I could give it zero stars I would. Ordered a book online through their website for in store pickup since the store (Viera) is not far from my job I would pick it up the next day. Went in today to pick up the book. The sales associate tells me that the computer is down for online pickup and I would have to purchase the book. All the while on the phone with the store manager (they weren’t busy and they must had been too busy to come out of their office.) I told the sales associate I already purchase the book online. She said “no that is just for preauthorization.”(A flat out lie.) I was weary, fearing I would be charged twice for the same book. I went ahead with the transaction (should had just left). As soon as I got home I checked my bank account and low and behold there were two transactions for Books a million for the same book. I called their customer service. Once I was connected to a representative she asked me what did I need help with. While continuing to cut me off. She told that the online order when given the card information is for preauthorization. I told her interesting If that’s the case why do I have TWO transactions on my bank account as soon as I said that she cuts me off and tells me she has taken the online transaction off. When I ask about the refund, she cuts me off again and says I will send you an email and that I should receive my refund in three days. I’m going to stick to Barnes Noble from now on. I will update this if and when I get my refund.
Always find a magazine or two here to entertain me for a few easy hours on Floridas Space Coast. Just wish I lived closer, so Id have more time to read books bought at this spotless and friendly establishment. It sure helps that the helpers are book nerds themselves. Always a kind word.
We came in to pre-order the Bo-Katan Kryze with Chase pop and after 3 months of waiting we only received the Bo-Katan pop, no Chase. When I contacted the store they stated that the wrong one must have been sent. I contacted customer service who informed me that based on the picture it could be the Bo- Katan OR the chase. I explained that we ordered through them because all descriptions said with chase and that the picture and description should match. Was informed that the rep didnt know what to -tell me other than that I got a Bo-Katan. Very sad that the description and name that you search by would not have the word OR as well. Not in a 2x2 photo. Dont think I will be shopping at books a million anymore with this type false advertising.
I came in at 10am this morning. Stood at check out for ten minutes as checkout girl walked by and looked at me 4 times before she finally acknowledged me after another customer told her I was waiting. My receipt says her name was Emmie H. Then my husband went in this afternoon and same person (Emmie H) was rude at checkout and didn’t give give the 50 percent off a book…,just took off $2.00???We will be buying our books from Target from now on.
I love this store! There is background noise, never too loud, and never too quiet. It is extremely organized. Staff is helpful. I do dislike the magazine signup at the end. I got burned the one time I did do it and wont do it again. But it is also in a perfect location. I have only had positive experiences here.
Great spot to get books and vinyl records. We were able to get some records we previously couldnt find. The staff are very nice and there is a great variety of books.
Amazing store! Great selection! And very helpful staff!
Michelle was our server. So very nice.
The cashier snacking at her register was only a tiny concern for me, but could affect employees. I found the exact magazine I sought. I was in and out in five easy minutes.
Coffee was made very weak (more the color of a strong tea) and staff was argumentative when I explained it looked more like tea. Manager came to do refund, but didn’t even bother to inquire if there was a way to rectify the situation. Poor Customer Service!
Awesome selection of books and collectibles, i love all the mystery toys they have. Someone always asks if I need help too which is nice!
Way better store then the one on Merritt Island. Good clean store with, shocking, I know, great customer service. I can always find a book I am looking for, and the store. Is organized, neat, and cheerful (the exact opposite of the Merritt island mall store.) In store pick up,
Love going there and enjoy a coffe while the kids look for books!
An authentic book store and much, much more. They have a wide variety of books from every genera and unique gifts for every age. A great place to shop, read a book and enjoy your coffee. Highly recommended!
My go to place for my decks and my boys books! I absolutely love the feeling of the place the customer service is very nice. They had to deal with my sons and their craziness and I am forever grateful for their patience!
Any book your looking for has got to be here. Took my son to start his Christmas list and he found the series he was looking for and they were all available!
Joined the rewards program for discounts on all the variety of items, not just books
I went into Books-A-Million and feel in love with books all over again. The store was clean, well organized and had friendly staff.
As busy as they were before Christmas, they did a good job with distancing, and the partitions made me feel safe. And I got the smallest rc car. its cool. Friendly service.
So many things! Pleasant employees.
Great selection of books. I was overcharged for one of the books, and the cashier seemed put out that he had to cancel the sale and redo the purchase to give me the right price. It was only a dollar difference, but what if they overcharged more customers and none made the store correct it. I may not be back soon.
Good selection of the books.
The store is nicely kept with a Joe Mugs coffee shop thats open. The sales staff were very helpful in searching for a book, and when they found out they didnt have it, they offered to order it to the house in 5-10 days (I just ordered it from Amazon in 2 days). Upon checkout with some other books, the up-selling was obnoxious. They offer for you to donate, then to spend $25 on their club for discounts and coupons, and it just keeps going. Would be nice to check out in a store that doesnt pressure you. Not the cashiers fault, Im sure its policy.
Best place to spend a lazy afternoon.
They always have a great inventory and have something for everyone on your Christmas shopping list. Thank goodness the brick and mortar stores are still open!
Helpful customer service and my kids love coming here to get their books, Thanks Books-A-Million!
This store is huge they have a wide selection of books n magazines etc... And they have a coffee shop there so u can read a book n enjoy your cup of joe
They have astrology books and Tarot cards. Love it
There is nothing like a book store. Having the real book is great. Also they have a lot of other things like games and collection figures. I like to go there and just walk around. They also have a cafe where you can read your book while having coffe.
We had two Books a Million gift cards to use and we don’t have a BAM local to us. On the gift card it states NO FEES, NO EXPIRATION.We were dismayed to find out our $40 in gift cards had dwindled to $12.31 and $1.95 respectively. They were never used gift cards, with the bar code and pin still covered. We will never give Books a Million our business again.
Beautiful location. Clean. Has a coffee shopInside. Kids love to go here.
Book stores are disappearing, this one features a lot of paperbacks and bargains.
One of my favorite place to go. Always super nice and helpful people working. I am so happy they are open.
One of the few surviving bookstores. They have a wide selection and I even bought Christmas cards.
Wasnt terribly crowded and checkout was quick. Was there for gift shopping and there was a good variety of merchandise.
I really enjoy books a million. Drove out here from Palm Bay just to check out the manga selection which is better than Barnes in Melbourne. Definitely like the place, just not so much location.
Nice and cool inside and theres a Joe Mugs there too. The people there are very nice and if you cant find a book, all you have to do is ask and theyll help you find it. Its very welcoming and a trip to the Avenue is never complete without a visit to Books-A-Million.
The one in Viera Florida is a MILLION times better than the one in VeroOnce we had one as grand but it was replaced with a tool market!Going inside Vieras BAM was like a Time Capsule for me, the sights and smells then came the friendly staff of course (just like Veros remaining little one in the Mall)I WISH we could have such a BAM as this once more but alas, now going North on 95 for an hour plus for such a grand store such as this, is well worth the drive it takes
Im writing this review because I was disgusted by one of the clerks behavior. So I went in there one morning looking for a Bible and a book so I could take it with me on vacation. This older woman with short blonde hair kept following me around the store askingif I was doing okay. Like okay, I get that its her job but it wasnt in a friendly way, it was like she was suspicious of me and I was hiding something. I didnt find the Bible I wanted and the other options were much too expensive, then I had found The Nine Lives of Chloe King and was carrying it with mr throughout the store debating on whether I should buy it or not, well as stated I didnt buy anything so I put the book back cause I found it cheaper on Amazon. As I was walking out, that lady was giving me the death stare thr entire duration from the back of the store to the time I left. I tried to smile from behind my mask but she just kept staring and I even saw through the corner of my eye that she was watching me leave and didnt even say have a good day.. and then, I got to my car and as I was pulling away, she lady had turned around and watched me pull off and drive away. Very disturbing and I was really creeped out. Please fire her and get someone more welcoming and less creepy
Great customer service and provided good cafe with quiet environment!
A million times better than Barnes and Nobles. Amazing fantasy and science fiction section
Nice, big bookstore. Just like the old days.
Well laid out and very clean. The employees were very helpful when I needed help finding a couple different books.
All my favorite books and never a problem finding a good read! The cafe is great too. A very nice and quiet escape from reality
This is one of my favorite stores in the world. First and most important to me, the staff is just great. They are always helpful and cheerful going out of their way to serve the customer. Beyond the fact that they have a great selection of books, the have JOE MUGGS a terrific coffee shop. Expect to get the most full body and best tasting Latte there.
Books and coffee, what could be better. Love taking my kids, but I have to emphatically manage their expectations since there are also so many toys.It might not have the selection of an online store but they are pretty well culled down to books worth having if you know where to look. There is a good selection of classics, better than any library in the area, most of which cater to retirees (which is good just not usually what I want to read) and only one library in the area truly caters to kids. Not a fan of teen-lit, but my kids still love mazes and puzzle books and anything with animals.
Love all the friendly staff and have even made friends with a few of them. Always very nice people. Wish I could work with with them itd be a job worth having but my schedule wont allow me to
Superb childrens section. Helpful employees. Fun to browse specialty items for fans of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Downton Abbey, and the like. Gift selections for those who have a variety of interests. Board games, tee shirts, coffee shop. Great place to spend time finding a good book.
Was just passing by and browsing to see what sales were going on. Nothing caught my eye The store was neat and clean. Plan on visiting again for the upcoming holidays
Best place to find magazines you wont find an any other shops.
Wide selection of books and the coffee shops peppermint mocha coffee is outstanding.
Standard BAM store front with a great selection and a clean and well maintained store.
My family and I always enjoy spending time at BAM. Although its entirely too easy to lose ourselves for a few hours and spend entirely too much money. I called ahead and they pulled stock for me and had it waiting for me. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable and more than willing to order anything you might want. I admit to reading a lot of digital content now but nothing will ever replace a real book. Books A Million is a great place to find your next read!
Excellent selection of real print books. Lots of knickknacks (especially Harry Potter and Star Wars) as well as toys from infant to adult. The selection of high quality home library and office items are, in my opinion, second to none.Highly recommend this team of friendly and professional folks.
Found the perfect gifts for my grandchildren. They have much more than books
Lovely staff always willing to help
Look and youll find some bargain books.
Great place to find the book you are looking for. They will also buy used books, I believe you have to make an appointment to do this or go in on a certain day of the week. Lots of magazines as well. They do have a nice selection of journals as well. You will also find calendars and a few novelty items.
Great staff, very knowledgeable. Store was clean and covid compliant.
Great store and employees, good sales on books for black Friday
Well organized, feels warmer than Barnes and Nobles somehow. Books are about on par with Amazon, especially the stuff thats on sale.
I had not been in a Books-a-Million in a really long time. This place was well paid out. There was a quaint coffee shop with plenty of seating. They were featuring Harry Potter, so theyre were lots of books and collectible items. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were able to help me find an obscure book I was looking to get. Located in a nice shopping center.
Love books-a-million, however, it felt a little too warm and humid IN THE STORE. Not good in the middle of summer.
The store is great, very clean and decently organized.I wish though that the new age section was over by religion, because thats what most of that is. Religion. Also, the store is carrying less and less books, and more and more merchandise for movies, games and shows.Books are the greatest weapons in the world. We shouldnt be getting rid of so many.
Come here quite a bit, love the store! When were in the Avenues, My boyfriend and I like to read together on the outside seating area once in a while. We get coffee and snacks from the coffee shop. Its a shame the cheesecake isnt there anymore. Love the employees too!
Decent stuff for toys and such, and many mangas
If was amazing. A store full of books. Seriously though, the lady on duty was extremely helpful and friendly. We discussed book recommendations and she is ordering new ones.
Great selection of books and collectible toys. However, I have a major problem with the check out. Sometimes I just want to walk into a store and buy something, but at Books-A-Million I have to get offered a membership, a magazine subscription, and a plethora of other recommended small purchases at the counter. Saying No thank you doesnt work either. The staff will ask are you sure? and will proceed to give a number of reasons why youre passing up on the deal of a lifetime. If you continue to say no, the staff take it as a personal affront and no longer have a friendly demeanor. I understand that the company might have a policy that requires their staff to ask about the membership... and they may even get bonuses for every time they get someone to sign up,, but if a a customer says no thank you, they should let it go.
For a books a million store they were very low stocked. The man at the counter was extremely rude. Not much else to say. I put my books down and left after his comments.
Nice coffee ☕ shop inside.
Bought a toy for my 1 year old from this store but we accidentally left it behind at the register. Not only did they lose the Sesame Street item but refused to issue a refund for a $16 toys. Very classy bookstore indeed.
Love this place, tons and tons of books. Everything is well organized. Tons of collectibles from comics and toys. Little brother could spend days in here and not be bored. They have a little cafe if you want to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and read. Much quieter than Barnes and Noble.
Another good place to go to retreat from the elements for a bit. The adjoining Coffee Mug Cafe is a nice touch and convenient. Compliments shopping or a day of relaxation very well.
Helpful staff that will let you just browse, or work diligently to find just the right items. Also very knowledgeable about the store, and merchandise.
This is one of my wifes favorite shops, as she is an avid reader and I like making her happy.
Books were marked up higher than other stores. But otherwise its a clean store
Always a favorite visit. Mostly because of the attentive staff. If they dont have it, they can get it in a reasonable time.
They didnt have very good discounts
Great store, lots of holiday ideas! Easy to get help finding what you need.
One of the last remaining big bookstores. Pretty standard. I will say they have the LARGEST magazine selection around. It covers the back wall completely!!
Love Books a Million. Staff friendly, good coffee, loads of great books
Cool place, in that its a store selling mostly books and you can actually go in and look at them. Cant do that with Amazon.
Severely understaffed and mismanaged. The few people they have are nice enough. Great toy store. If you want a book they dont have they offer to order it for you and send it to your home, but you will have to pay for shipping.I was rather upset that out of the 2 people they had around at 730pm (they close at 10), only the manager could work the coffee bar (which no longer has a cold case). And since both people were working the cash wrap, after the one who isnt allowed to make anything, was available.Anyways, fun place for kids and office stuff.
Went here last weekend to get some books with my family. We left in a matter of minutes because an older woman who worked there, walked up behind my daughter and I literally like a bat from hell. I guess because my 16 month old daughter was excited seeing the magazine section and trotted up to it, was simply horrendous based upon that old battle axes reaction. Great location and selection is why I gave two stars. But based upon that lady’s reaction, I’ll be taking the drive to Barnes and Noble instead!
A very diverse selection, especially of classics at bargain prices. A nice selection of journals and pen sets as well.
