I recently bought from this store and had no problems. Tim was friendly and helpful. After deciding on which futon I wanted he let me pick a delivery date and approximate time that were convenient for me. Then upon delivery he set it up exactly where I wanted it. I did not experience any of the rudeness or odors that others mentioned. I also saw no signs of going out of business. If you are looking for a nice quality futon this is the place to go. All the other futons I saw in the big box stores were terribly uncomfortable.

. I looked at every mattress he had & decided on the 9 most popular. $179 plus tax. It was wrapped in plastic, and when I got it home & took the plastic off...........OMG the smell was horrid. It smelled like cat urine. Husband took it back next day & got full refund. Then the next day, husband went back again & was going to buy another, just this time, explain to the guy what happened. Well, long story short he was telling my husband that I would not listen to him, I was bouncing off the walls, and he was never ever going to sell a damn thing to us. Basically, get out of his store.

I read every review before we got to the store. And frankly, had the lady from another store not referred us to Futon City, we would have turned around and gone home. But, but, but, but, but, we didnt go home and that was a very good thing. We had fallen in love with a Futon made by Anchor Furniture and named Bahamas Chocolate. I didnt care for the Futon cover shown in brochure but Futon City had lots to select from. We did not encounter any of the problems experienced by some reviewers such as a dirty store or bug problems or foul odors. Nor did we encounter Timothy being difficult to get along with. Quite to the contrary. It was very evident that Timothy knew his product and could and did answer every question without hesitation even when he knew that the truth would rule out a particular futon. In the end, we purchased from Timothy at Futon City for a variety of reasons. We were very comfortable doing business with Timothy. The price was unbeatable. The same futon at the first store was $60 higher and did not include the cover which would have added an additional $100 to the price. And heres the biggy. Futon Citys price included two beautiful storage units. We were overjoyed. I had just about lost hope of finding what we wanted in our price range. And then there was Timothy at Futon City. And it didnt end there. We set up our delivery date which I confidently believed I could be ready for. By the time I had no choice but to acknowledge that there was no way I could be ready, Timothy had already loaded the truck. I just knew that my furniture had been loaded somewhere in the middle and that he couldnt get to it or around it, and I thought I could hear it in his voice. I was convinced that the evil Timothy that other reviewers had referenced was about to come out. And he would have had every right to do it. But instead he took a deep breath and said Hey, if youre not ready, youre not ready. Dont worry about it. We want you to be ready and happy so lets pick a better time. What a great guy! And we had to change the delivery date again but finally the day and the futon arrived. It is just perfect. The whole experience was perfect. I realize that this is going to sound so corny but it was the whole experience that made this so special. Ill never remember this as just oh yeah, I bought a bed. Ill remember this as meeting a person that turned out to be so much better than he had been portrayed and I also got a beautiful piece of furniture as a bonus. It was a very good day. I bought a Futon mattress and cover and he delivered the mattress free of charge. I later went back and bought a Futon frame when my old one went bad and he delivered again. So far he seems fine. Its no Bed Bath and Beyond but its a local store and the owner seems accommodating.
