I visited with a friend and her family last week and we first enjoyed the breakfast. The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious, the bacon wasn’t over cooked, and the eggs were amazing! The portions were so big and we all sampled each other’s foods. My friend had the Hungry Man, her daughter had an omelet, I had the French Omelet (which was so delicious), the kids had chocolate chip pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon, and I can’t remember what else was ordered. In our party of 7, nobody was disappointed. Then, we returned the next day for lunch. Again, the portions were large! I had the Cuban sandwich and onion rings which was recommended by our waitress Monica (it was so good), my friend had the open faced roast beef with gravy I believe and she loved it, and her daughter had this sandwich that was almost too pretty to eat. Again, we all were stuffed and very satisfied. We went back again two days later to try dinner and even though it was busier at dinner time, the service was top notch and the food left us full and satisfied. If I get the chance to visit Melbourne again, I will stop in the diner and have a great meal!
Desserts are delicious.Menu options arent what they used to be but still a good selection. (I miss the ribs!) Nice location. Friendly staff. I enjoy seeing the car meet up on Wednesdays.Wait time can be slow when its busy but please be patient with the staff members theyre doing their best.Always Friendly and respectful to us customers.
A wonderful diner! Good service and smiles!I had a Cheeseburger (at the recommendation of you fellow community guides) that was great!!! Cooked well and juicy! My daughter got the chicken veggie soup, which she enjoyed! Then we sampled a huge piece of chocolate cake!Portions were ginormous and tasty!!!
This was the first time we came here is years. The food was ok, not bad and nothing to write home about. Prices were on the higher side. Service on the other hand was not good at all! Our waitress never came back to check on us after we got our food. Never offered a refill on drinks, except one person in our party did get a refill on water. When we were finished with our food my husband had to go stand at the counter to ask for our check because all theee employees were in the back chatting.
This place is a true hidden gem. Its so unassuming from the outside and the name even sounds kind of generic, but the food is incredible. There is so much variety and somehow they nail it on every thing they have to offer. The buffalo chicken, the gyro, the Mediterranean Greek salad, the burgers, even the stir fry - all delicious. Also the portions are gigantic! They have really good selection of homemade desserts too, if you have any room left. I took my fiance and two kids there yesterday, they were skeptical at first, but they became believers as soon as they took their first bites.
Wow, I was impressed with this hidden gem of a restaurant. I had the open face gyro. The dish was amazing and the Caesar Salad was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. She actually knew the menu well.
The burgers are so big they are almost impossible to finish! Cooked perfectly. Atmosphere is very old school diner. Good place to eat
I have been in Harbor City several times and wantto commend a young woman named Monica on her outstanding service. We live in a world where we have grown to accept, and expect mediocre service. This restaurant is one of my favorites. The menu has so many different choices and their portion sizes are phenomenal! From breakfast to dinner everything that Ive had there is great. Highly recommend Harbor City Diner!!
Shrimp was good. Veggies were mush. Veal parm was ok. Kids pizza was as my daughter put it gross.
Friendly staff. Fresh juicy burger and great carrot cake. I will definitely go back while Im in town.
Food was good. Still reasonably priced. Surprised there wasnt more people there for lunch. Used to be packed. Definitely try the homemade chicken pot pie when available.
Highly recommend! Delicious food and large portions for the price. Picky table of three and not a single complaint! Try the desserts too... probably have to take to go after such a large meal but you wont be disappointed.

So you dont go here looking for anything special, food is good and the staff is local......that being said I eat here once or twice a month and the last time I was here the bathroom was broke and times must be slow cause the bathroom is still not fixed. It not a deal breaker but when there is 2 patrons trying to use the same bathroom with no locks on the only working stall.....it gets to be a struggle having to hold the door closed and take care of business with 1 hand......
Always a delicious place for breakfast, but lunch is great, too! I rarely get to this side of town, but whenever I have an opportunity to dine here, I take advantage of it. Service is quick and the food is so tasty. I have never had a bad experience. Its so good that I bring my friends who are vacationing from out of town so they can enjoy it, too!

The staff at this place is incredibly friendly and just great people. The amount of food thats going to be brought out to you is tremendous. I dont think Ive been there when I was able to eat all that I ordered, and Im saying I got hamburger and french fries that last two times and just didnt finish it all (and Im a big fat guy). The prices are very reasonable and the food is just delicious. You will not regret stopping by harbour City diner. Go check it out today.

There wasnt much on the menu. I got an omelet. Was great but my husbands food was extremely salty where he couldnt eat it. The service wasnt great as well. Sat there along time without getting refills. I had to ask finally for them and I still didnt get a refill.
I ordered the Southwestern Steak Omelet with Home Fried Potatoes. My son had the Gyro Platter. The food was delicious. The portions were large. Prices were reasonable. The background music was old-time rock (i.e. Eagles, Bob Seager) played loud enough to hear, but not overpower. I would have deducted half a star if the option was available because the waiter sat us at a dirty table without checking to see if it was clean, in a fairly empty dining room (we went early on a Saturday). He promptly and apologetically moved us to a different table. I went ahead and awarded 5 stars overall, because I really liked this place and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys home cooking style food.*side note: They have 3 outside dining tables that seat 4 each.

Nice little diner and great menu, my only complaint is the Biscuits and gravy. It was SUPER salty, the biscuits were hard and dry like they were warmed in a microwave, and the gravy was so salty my tongue was dry by the end of the meal. Need less salt, more fluff, and more softness the biscuits. Still good food overall.
Had family visiting from Ohio, brought them here and everyone loved it. It was excellent.
My family and myself came in yesterday after church. The waitress was very friendly and got us sat very quickly for a family of 6 and drinks were served right away. Our food came out in a timely manner but one of our burgers was more than well done. We returned it to over 25 minutes later and our whole family was done eating my wife got a raw burger bought out. Highly not happy. Our waitress was great and very apologetic and offered to fix or refund it. You could surely tell she is a good waitress with great costumer service skills. My biggest problem was at check out. I explained to our waitress that at least the burger could be cooked right when we get it home when she said no she would take it off and was so sorry. She preceded to get im guessing a manager that came out with a horrible attitude. Snapped at her employee and told our waitress it was her fault. I think our waitress handled the situation very well and I hope that the employess dont always get treated like that. We wont be coming back there after that. Good luck to our waitress.
The menu is changed it dont have the delicious Greek food I used to love and enjoy, so had to settle for a hamburger. 😔😣

My salad came In a bowl and the waitress realized there be no way to eat it as full as it was so got a side plate my gyro was a wet pita with burnt old ingredients a disgrace to Greek food.
The helpings are enormous and the prices very fair. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. We have yet to find something unsatisfying on the menu.
The staff was good and friendly, The food was good. The menu however needs HELP! They dont describe the specialty items, so you dont know what you are ordering. Omelets and Benedicts just have titles no description. Its also pretty loud, with all the places to go in town I probably wont return. Prices were average.
A local staple that has been around for years! Featuring Greek and American fare, the truly huge portion sizes are this venues most notable feature. If you somehow manage to save room, they have a cakes and other deserts (including baklava!) That are made in house. An experience better suited for the more adventurous palate, but for thst palate, a true adventure in mouth-watering, savory or sweet, dining.
The biscuits and gravy were inedible! The biscuits were so hard I couldn’t eat them! The home fries were ok?

Service was very good. Food and prices were mediocre at best. They had a limited menu, which I completely understand because of the holiday, but the prices looked to have been increased for the little they offered. Everyone was wearing masks and not seated on top of each other, which really says a lot about their standards. Not somewhere I plan to visit anytime soon

Ordered broiled salmon and it was not cooked through. For the cost of the salmon meal, you dont get any value at all. Its overpriced and they dont know how to cook it to a safe temp.Also, they had a single group of 24 people come in after we placed our order and it was so loud we couldnt even have a conversation at our table. The noise level turned into crowded bar loud.They could have forewarned about the large group coming in, but my greatest concern is undercooking food and overcharging for said food.Imo, avoid this place. The menu is too large for the kitchen staff to keep up with in terms of how to cook everything.Save your money and your health and eat elsewhere.

You definitely get a ton of food with anything you order here. Pretty much everything weve ever ordered from here ends up being taken home. We easily get a lunch and dinner from just 1 order. My picture is of the chicken parmagiana dinner. Ended up being my dinner 2 nights in a row! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because their cakes are a little dry. However, the peanut butter chocolate mousse pie is amazing!
Been a long time customer of the Diner. Gone downhill tremendously. Had lunch there today4 of my group of 5 were disappointed. Luke warm meals,hastily thrown together French dip which was horrible. No au jus just lukewarm beef broth. Will not be going back.Others must feel the same. Place was empty. Used to be packed.
They updated but still needs more cleaning and updates. Just seems dirty everyone I talk to likes the food but atmosphere is questionable

This is a nice place to bring the family after church or to get together with good food. I have been to this diner for years and have never had bad experiences with the food or the waitresses. This is a great diner, not an expensive hoydee-toydee five star restaurant. The food offered on the menu is over and above a typical diner menu. For there are many Mediterranean type dishes as well as American. Mostly, I go there for their french fries. No, perhaps I go for the crisp abundant salads. A diner where the coffee is always fresh and the Budweiser is always cold. Also, we sometimes meet a friend who has no problem getting into the restaurant or getting a table in his wheelchair!
Eight of us gathered for lunch for an uncles birthday. We were all seated together at a long table. Restaurant was very clean and most accommodating. Waitress was prompt and pleasant. Food was very good and copious. I had the special of chicken pot pie. It was full of large pieces of chicken and many vegetables, enough to feed three people. My uncle was given a large piece of cake for his birthday, free.
Service was good! Food not. Ordered openfaced turkey. So dry! Wont come back.

Three stars only because of the interior noise level. There is no sound block and the noise was so loud we couldnt enjoy our meal. Service was good, as was the food. But the windows were so dirty you couldnt see through them. I would say I the place is very tired and the owner needs to care about the appearance.
Was pretty disappointed last night - this is a place Ive frequented for years and it was the first time Ive been disappointed by it.There was only a single table there, with the party already eating, and yet it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Our waitress was at times hard to flag down.Food was fine, but not as good as Id expect from them. The patty melt was little more than a burger on marble rye with onion. My sister had Buffalo tenders that where pretty much plain instead. Hoping it was just an off night for them.

Great food and good service you will get more food than most restaurants so you WILL need a to go box. I worked there several years back and it was also a great place to to work as well. My FAVORITE food is the chicken souvlaki and the baklava is to die for.
This place is always great. Keep up the good work. Just one problem I had was with the Ruben sandwich. The meat was cut to thick to much cheese. The sandwich was soggy in the middle and it just fell apart. But everything else is awesome there. The staff is so friendly and always seen happy.

Prices are applicable to the portions and high quality. My wife and I have eaten here before COVID and now. Very clean. Following new condiment protocol. Still fabulous food with great service. Hometown folks, who like to make you feel at home. I had the open face roast beef with mash potatoes/gravy and mixed veggies( grilled broccoli Carrots, cauliflower). I liked the Zucchini yellow squash and onions better. Yet the veggies were good.
