Totally awesome very clean well lit and the boot seats were very comfortable. The staff was very efficient very friendly when we came in food was excellent and nice portion sizes. I grew up in East Meadow, and havent been to this diner in over 25 years since moving to Florida. So grateful great people an awesome food.

Been coming here for years, the food and service has really struggled. I took my family here today and was overcharged for foods I already pay extra for since I have food allergies. I confronted them about it & that I have no problem paying extra for food that I need to eat but I didn’t appreciate the double charge for no reason. They tried to justify it and wouldn’t let me leave (had small child with me) till I “understood them” - which I didn’t because their prices and computers even showed I was being overcharged. I just paid it to get my child home but I won’t return because that’s extra money for anything during these hard times. Extremely unacceptable
Clean atmosphere and the general manager was very courteous and friendly, wait staff are speedy and pleasant to speak with. The food is piping hot and fresh and the wait times are not too long (the faster your food is served isn’t a good sign usually), and the coffee and breakfast menus are great. We had pancakes and a pizza burger with fries which were excellent. Ample parking with outdoor dining currently available. Social distancing and masks are observed here even though restrictions are becoming more lax.
Very good lunch specials great variety to pick from. Chicken parm was great not burnt or reheated. Fresh food. ask for extra sauce FYI. Rice pudding was good but whip cream was flat not fluffy or airy. Good coffee. Will be back.
My son and I enjoyed a great tasting dinner. We had excellent service and so much to eat. Our waiter provided us with take out plates so we had a lunch to go the next day.
I love this dinner! Saw it on door dash and I ordered from them and now I will only order from Apollo Diner! Best food Best Diner in Nassau County! Everything is delicious! Took my brother there for his birthday and he loved the Turkey stuffing gravy and the desserts! Omg the deserts are great like you are eating lavishly! The waiters bus boys cashiers and owner is so friendly and helpful and professional! If I could give a 100 stars I would but I have to settle with 5! My husband loves the food and my shelty is spoiled he loves the hamburgers here! Try Apollo and you will be so happy you did!

I love diners, they are known for their breakfast, good burgers & Salads. When I find a good one, it will alway be my go to place for breakfast & lunch.Everyone was friendly. Our server was attentive and the food came out fast and hot. I recommend Apollo if you want good customer service.

My rating is based on the quality of the food here. I ordered rolled blueberry pancakes, bacon, and banana pancakes. The total was $26.00. This is quite high for pancakes. The filling in the blueberry pancakes seemed like something out of a can. The taste was not fresh and the pancake lacked overall texture and flavor. Additionally, the banana pancakes were raw and wet in certain parts of the inside. Furthermore, the bacon was covering the blueberry pancakes instead of being stored separately in another container. Very dissatisfied. I would not recommend.

Excellent service. Wonderful staff. We were told we had to leave by 10 before we were seated and we appreciate that very much. Also, appreciate knowing beforehand that if you pay with a credit card there is an added fee, they have a sign posted. Clean place and fast service.

Bourbon Steak has the best happy hour in town! Im a beer and occasional gin & tonic girl, usually avoiding cocktails because its rare I find one I like enough to finish. Ive tried (probably) every cocktail on BSs happy hour menu and they are all good and drinkable! Im particularly fond of the Rickey, which tastes like what hard lemonade should taste like. Im less fond of the happy hour food (the mac & cheese leaves much to be desired) but their fries are good, their seats are comfortable, their music doesnt suck, so overall Im pretty fond of the spot.
I had a late night rendezvous with Brittany, and held her hand as darkness turned to dawn. It was magical.My BLT here was alright I guess.
A proper diner experience with good wait staff. The bacon was a little bland but the French toast was delicious!

We have been returning to the Apollo diner over and over again with friends. They were extremely accommodating and paid special attention to addressing concerns during the COVID-19 virus.The tables are distanced well from other diner guests. They use all paper products including the table cloth and menus.The service and waiter were top rated. They paid attention to all details regarding mask and handling of food. Our friends left very happy and want to return again and again. Thank you Apollo diner for doing a great job during the corona virus. You make everyone feel very safe.

The Apollo is a good place for comfort food and a host of foodie favorites. It is located conveniently near several main area roadways making a stop here easy. We opted to try the Gyro and Reuben sandwiches. Both were delicious! The staff is helpful and pleasant.

Nothing fancy here but they dont pretend that there is. They aim for really good comfort food and they hit the target. Recommend if you are in the area.
An old-school Greek diner offering a perfect balance of classic and contemporary American favorites. Great place for a casual brunch or family dinner. We come here frequently for breakfast. The food is good and the waiters/ waitresses are friendly. However, on Memorial Day, when I entered Apollo waiting to be seated for two, one of the owners (?) walked right past me, (no greeting/ acknowledgement) and didnt offer me a seat. When a larger party walked in after us, they seated them immediately. Was not a good feeling, because we could have went elsewhere to eat.

Had dinner outside under a huge tent felt very comfortable sitting there. Food was delicious and a lot of it. The service was exceptional.
Really enjoyed the food here. The prices were very reasonable and they gave you more than you could possibly eat at one time. Had to take home a doggy bag . I will definitely be going back
The worst I can say is that the parking can be a little tight sometimes, (but most diners have that problem). I have never had a meal I didnt like. Special requests are not a problem. Portions are generous. The staff is always pleasant and upbeat. The atmosphere is cheery and cozy. Yeah, diners on Long Island are a dime a dozen, but Apollo is one of the good ones.

Dined here with a group of 15 family and friends. Had the Santa Fe salad with grilled chicken. Good, but a little heavy on the red onions. Didnt have ranch dressing - ugh. Good service.

Ive been going to this diner for years, and each time I visit my experience is better than the last. This diner makes many great dishes, including a fantastic all-day breakfast, and the service is usually quick and with a smile, as the wait staff is always welcoming and willing to accommodate both small parties (my grandparents and I or just my immediate family) to larger groups (cast parties for entire high school drama clubs). The varied menu, fantastic service, and accommodating atmosphere make this diner one of my favorites in the area.
Absolutely hands down the best pancakes on long Island! Their other food is outstanding also. The owner and staff go out of their way to make sure your experience is to notch. They are friendly and courteous and any wait time your may encounter isnt that long but well worth the wait.
After the renovations this place is/was cranking out some fine diner dining. We go eat here too catch up on gossip at least once a month.We are always promptly greeted with a smile, and seated right away. The wait staff is quick, friendly, and nice!The food is good typical diner fare.

As far as diners go, this one doesnt impress very much. I ordered the California burger, medium rare and I got a well done burger. And it seems like diners in general arent very good at making a burger medium rare, never mind medium, which is why I order a burger medium rare in the hopes theyll actually get it to a medium. It just seems like diner burgers arent what they used to be, or what you expect them to be...at least not at this place & believe me, Ive tried this place often; its my aunts favourite diner so a casual outing with her will mean eating at this place. And its not just the burgers, my boyfriend ordered a panini again and he wasnt anymore impressed with this one than he was with the one he ordered the last time. Of course, its not all bad, their fries are good and the service is also.
Food and service always great
The food is very consistent. They have the usual full menu one would expect at a diner. They even have gluten free options. The staff is friendly and they serve you quickly. Theres rarely a wait for a table as its a bigger location than bit looks from the outside. They also have a decent amount of parking so you dont have to fight about the last spot in the lot. When you throw in the reasonable prices, this is a excellent place to eat although it might not be the most exotic dining experience youre going to have.
Always a good meal
We went for a light dinner on Sunday arriving at 7 pm. We shared a salmon dinner. Food was more than acceptable and priced very reasonably. Wait staff was fast and attentive. Best part was their dessert selection; Napoleon cream was outstanding.

I remember coming to this diner as a kid, 40+ years ago! The food, service and atmosphere was great then - and on a recent visit back to East Meadow, the same experience was still there! Kuddos to the amazing staff - from the cashier to the busboys.
We are long term counters at this diner. The people are very nice, its family owned and absolutely delicious! We love this meatloaf and their grilled vegetable wraps. The strawberry milkshakes are a good size and theyre tasty
Alway friendly and happy when you arrive. The servers are patient and helpful. They have plenty of choices of comfort food and specials.
The food is great as usual and the staff are wonderful as always. unfortunely, this time around needed to use the ladies restrooms. First there were all these little black bugs flying around in both stalls! Second there was no toilet paper in the handicap stall and no paper to dry your hands. It was only 12:30 pm, this is unacceptable and makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the restaurant. Im sorry! But this needed to be brought to the managements attention!!!!!
